Yes, absolutely. It obviously depends on the rest of your group as well, but I wasn't much more geared than that the first time that I did Heat 1 and honestly it wasn't that tough to heal, so I'm sure that you'll be fine. Best of luck and have fun!

Oh no! It was definitely buggy back in Phase 2, so unfortunately it doesn't surprise me that it still is =/ Have you tried unequipping and re-equipping the Idol? Maybe that could get it to register correctly. I would consider opening a ticket if you still can't get it to work, Blizzard should at least be made aware of any issues so that they can fix it if it is bugged. Sorry that I don't have a better solution for you, I hope that you're able to get the Rune soon!

I believe that you will need to be at least level 40 to accept the quest "Rig Wars" from Nogg, so that is the level requirement.

Hey there, so it's actually a part of the "Details!" Damage Meter Addon: www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/details If you download it and then click the little cogwheel at the top of the meter to go to the settings, you can go to the "Broadcaster Tools" section and Enable the "Action Tracker", which is what that box is. And then you can customize the size / position / etc. of it from there. I hope that helps!

Have you turned in all of the new Books as well? In order to get Deep Freeze you have to turn in 25 Books total, but for this one you need 35 total. So you will need to turn in all of the new Books from this video, plus 2 more from the other Phases if you haven't already. Once you've turned in your 35th book you should be able to get the Greater Friend of the Library quest from Oran Snakewrithe (if you are Horde). I believe that there is an Addon called "Mage Book Tracker" (MBT) if you want to check which books you have / haven't turned in yet, although I personally haven't used it. I hope that that helps and that you're able to get the Rune soon!

That's rude, unfortunately there are a lot of impatient people out there. =/ It could be good to try to find a guild for new players (there's usually at least a few per server) and do a few runs with them to learn things! As far as that Boss goes, I *think* that the pattern that it does is the same every time. I could be wrong, but I think that in the 3 runs of this that I've done so far it's been the same. Maybe if you pause the video and check out the pattern to identify a safe place to stand and then just stand there? Otherwise I would say just be very aware when the Boss starts doing that ability and then watch your health bar and if you take damage move a little bit until the damage stops to try to identify the clear ground even though you can't see the poison and then plant your feet there. If you're not using it already, having the DBM (Deadly Boss Mods) Addon might also help to let you know when he is doing the ability, you can find a download link to the main Addon here: www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/deadly-boss-mods-dbm-dungeons And then you will also need the Cataclysm specific mod as well: www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/deadly-boss-mods-cataclysm-mods I hope that helps a little, hopefully you can find some better groups - good luck out there!

Yeah, there's really not a lot of super valuable cards outside of Collector Boosters this time around - but they are still really cool to see! And that sounds fun! I've seen some pretty cool combos with Ygra already, seems like it could be a pretty interesting deck =)

It depends: around the time that this was recorded 6-10k would be a typical Combustion, maybe 11-12k at the high end. Now that I have better gear that would be a very low Combustion and I can usually get anywhere from 12-17k, although I have gotten up to 27k per tick for my biggest Combustions. Having the weakaura to track your current Ignite damage really helps to know if it's worth Combusting or not, but it really comes down to a lot of RNG if you get a bunch of good crits in a row or not. Tailoring is definitely really nice for the embroideries, and if I wanted to be extra tryhard I would track the Lightweave proc (and my trinket proc) so that I knew if I had the additional Int/Spell Power Buff active, and then pop my Engineering Synapse Springs Tinker to amp my Pyroblast / Living Bomb DoT for an even bigger Combust. Engineering is definitely nice too for the free damage from the Saronite Bombs / Goblin Sapper Charge, but I often forget to even use them lol.

@@SigsPlays Do you still remember your stats from back then? I'm getting better at crits and I feel like I'm dealing more crits against adds than bosses. And I've managed to cap the hit, my haste is 10% and my crit with the shield reaches 27% normal, counting the raid buffs 33%, and if I add the benefits of glyphs or mage passives, it should reach around 45% approximately, and even so the pyroblast doesn't come out as often as I saw you. And adding to my biggest mistake, I chose the worst race for a magician, I chose human.

@@onisupremacy8446 Oh no lol, I wish that I didn't have to be a Worgen but that 1% Crit is too nice to pass up. I don't remember my exact stat %s, but you can see the raw stat number on the logs for this fight here: classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/VcfkX1jJ3T7nLHay#fight=19&type=summary&source=2 Unfortunately it doesn't show Mastery but I try to have as little Mastery as possible. Currently with AI and Molten Armor I'm sitting at around 12.5% Haste (a little high, but I actually like that I can get my casts off a bit quicker), and ~27.5% Crit, with about 10.8 Mastery and being Hit Capped. And then beyond that I just stack as much Int as possible. It's definitely just RNG though, I have some pulls where my full opener crits and I combust and burst to like 65K + DPS by 30 seconds into the fight, and other pulls where I will literally go 1.5 minutes without getting a single Hot Streak proc. It can be really feast or famine, which is part of what makes the spec so fun, but also quite annoying lol.

@SigsPlays is it possible to 1 shot the boss? Our group even have time to do hex lord and daakara and then proceed to halazi for the bear run.. Mage are truly op

@@soojason2012 I don't know about in only 1 spell, but you can definitely kill them in only a few seconds with 2 of the fire buff. Mages are definitely very op when they have that =)

Yup! It definitely depends on the fight though. On shorter fights where Mana is less of an issue I prefer to run Burnout on the Chest and then just use Mass Regen to maintain Beacons on the Tank Group/Groups. However, that gets to be very mana-intensive so on longer fights (like this one) I prefer to drop Burnout and use Regeneration to maintain a much longer-duration and more mana-efficient Beacon on the Tanks and also use single Regen for spot healing certain targets, since it takes a lot less mana than Mass Regen. Mass Regeneration is quite efficient if it hits all 5 targets, but sometimes due to group setup or fight positioning you can't hit all 5 targets with it, in which case single Regen is very useful to have for that as well. =)

I'm actually using Regen over Burnout, but yeah I have a hard time of letting go of Spellpower - I just really like the extra damage haha. I'm loving the changes too, Arcane Barrage really smooths out the rotation, especially when moving, and I can't wait to get the tier set bonuses

No problem! The playstyle is similar to how it was, but with Arcane Barrage now we can have a spell to cast while moving, or cast when we need really quick healing for our Beacon targets, or in situations where we would need to refresh Beacons before an Arcane Blast cast would finish. A lot of people do also now run Rewind since it has been moved to the wrist slot, and Chronomatic Preservation is also very powerful on the boots. Some people run Balefire Bolt as well but I only do on some bosses where we either need more damage or if I don't need as much Mana for that fight. I usually start most fights by trying to precast Regen / Mass Regen at least on the Tanks so that I can start the fight with some Beacons already on them, and then I hope that that procs a Missile Barrage or a Clearcasting for some extra damage or free mana to start the fight. I hope that helps!

Yeah, those are great points - I definitely need to get in the habit of using Chrono. I do also find myself constantly telling groups that Mage heals are slow but come in big chunks, and that while it looks a little scary sometimes everything is actually fine lol

@@SigsPlays Indeed, but even big pulls without rewind time or chrono mainly, you just can’t output enough heals via dps. So ye you have to switch to heal mode if you’re with a great player pulling 3+ packs. So either way, with top players mass pulling, or awful players not holding aggro or dps overaggroing, the answer to both is basically full heal runes.

@@SigsPlays Another tip is you can cast a regen or mass regen right after an arcane blast and it will count it like they already a beacon on them. So there is no need to precast regen to apply the buff. Mage healing is very good right now throughput wise.

Warding might actually be good in MC for the extra Fire Damage Absorb, but it's never really worth using Mana Shield due to the Mana Drain (you can typically heal more HP by spending that mana on healing spells than it absorbs). I may try out Warding for the larger Fire Ward though. And I personally prefer Spell Power over Chronostatic Preservation. I know that a lot of people like Chrono Pres, and it is a very strong and mana-efficient direct heal (one of our only ones), but I just think that the whole point of having a Healing Mage over a different healing Spec is because of the additional damage that they provide while also healing. Situationally Chrono Pres is going to be much better, and in general it is totally worth running, I just prefer to try to do a bit of extra damage to help to speed up the kills so I generally use Spell Power for that reason. =)

Yeah that guy was totally clueless, and such a downer, I was really trying to not let it get under my skin lol And those are great points - As soon as the run was over I thought to myself "I should have used Chrono Pres". Regen over Burnout would have been great to save mana too, especially considering that it was mostly the Tank taking damage so a lot of the Mass Regen Healing/Beacons were wasted. I typically like this build to do a little more damage to speed things along and to just maintain Beacon on everyone in the Group in case some big spike-damage comes out, but I think that with your setup this would have probably been a lot easier. I really appreciate the feedback, and I'm glad that someone noticed how annoying that shaman was lol

Unfortunately I don't think that you can. All of the "Active" layers are presets and I can't find a way to change the "Animation" "Speed" like you can under the "Effects" layer. It would be nice if you could though!

Hmmm, I'm sorry but I have no idea. I was careful not to overkill any of them so I didn't end up with any Charred Notes. I would maybe exit the zone, totally exit the game, then go back and try again on that specific Mage - but that's just total speculation on my part. I even did some Googling but can't seem to find an answer for you. If nothing else maybe try opening up a ticket in case it's bugged. I hope that you're able to figure it out and get the Rune soon!

Thanks! And yeah, there was some leeway with the previous Runes where you didn't need every single book that was in the game to get them, but you will need *every* single book to get this one now. Glad that you were able to figure out which one you were missing and get the Rune!

I pulled together the full list of books available across both factions and the grand total is 40, but I originally thought it was 41 because one of the books exists in two locations. So it is just 40. Since I have a horde mage, I am able to obtain 39 of the 40. Some of them were in alliance zones, but definitely obtainable at level 50+. The only one that's absolutely not obtainable by normal standards is the one in Ironforge (Archmage Antonidas: The Unabridged Autobiography).

Yeah i was able to get arcane barrage without turning in the loch modan book and the ironforge book. On a second note i highly reccomend the addon magebooktracker to keep track of which books you turned in. Also updated version of addon questie to show locations.

Search for a weakaura for mage books. It will help a lot

Yeah the double / triple Rare packs are really nice, and there are definitely some pretty expensive cards in the set, they just seem kind of few and far between. And I agree, I personally go into any product opening with the idea that I'm paying for the experience of opening and checking out some new cards, and if I make anything extra then that's just icing on the cake. The cards do seem really cool too, definitely some powerful Assassins that I've considered making a Commander deck around =)
