It was fair seeing that kyoraku wasn't serious about fighting him either. Kyoraku could've beaten him from the beginning but totally stated that his sword didn't want to play which limits shunsui fighting techniques.
Well, I think that's exactly what Stark wants. He is a prodigy, but rarely ever seems impressive purely 'cause of his attitude. Dude just wanna chill out with friends. Have a sense of belonging, and not get dragged into mindless battle. Yet he is so powerful. Amazing character. Uncle Barry is a different case... his release name perfectly describes him. He is arrogant and lazy. Prefers to get the job done by goons. That's why I think Clyde's problems with him on don't caring about Grimmjow and Yamamoto as rivals is void, as it is part of his character and narrative. Despite being powerful... given his age, and Yama in contrast, he is not impressive at all. As ruler of HM he was content being on top in his own bubble, and probably stagnated for millenia before Aizen did his shenanigans. He doesn't care about Grimmjow, because he was not on the level of threat, he didn't care of SS, as they were not directly invading his turf. Once on top not caring until to late is a conscious part of his writing... and addig No.2 rank is just the perfect insult to injury. Many sleep on him as having cool power and design that didn't go anywhere and consider him a lackluster character. But Barragan's depressing narrative is indeed fitting for the hollow king of a hollow world.

Same goes for Hallibel, outright stronger in her base form. Plus Ulq. 2nd rel. Outranks the rest because his 2nd res. was never taken into consideration to begin with.

Only 2 of those 4 were captains. And those 2 weren't serious either. There was little Utikate involvement. And Shunsui didn't even use the full extent of his Shikai not to talk of what would have happened if he went into bankai. Besides they more of took turns with the fight. The other 2 were vice captains at best, and they weren't vice captain when they were shinigami.

I think ulquiorra is the strongest. I only say this because he has two ressureccions and he tanked a hollowfied getsuga tensho without moving. He also is the smartest and most favored in the group, and aizen planned out his fight. Ulquiorra could've been holding back to not kill him like he was in the first place, but same way for all of Ichigo's other fights.

I recently learned that the filler arcs in bleach were actually ideas that Kubo wished he had incorporated into canon but had to scrap because he was pushed. So if we assume the Bount Arc was canon then there's the explanation for his "training" events.

If you count Yhwach then of course Yhwach, by the power alone and not the character, excluding Yhwach, the strongest is Gremmy, but overall the strongest IMO is Gerard, followed by Haschwalth, Uryuu, and Lille

Shunsui didn't even use 100% of his shikai while stark used his ressurrecion form. And from from Ulq he was the only one to achieve 2nd release. Hence it makes sense to say Stark was at full potential. Shunsui wasn't interested in fighting and same was for Utikate (forgotten how to spell his name). If Stark and Shunsui serious and at full power (including Shunsui at bankai) I say Shunsui wins without anyone else helping. The fact that Stark's prowess seems to be all long range attacks suggests he's most likely to be weak in close combat (an that's how he died to a silly Shunsui colour game). Stark has alotta power available to him but he was weak in fighting. Mainly because of his mentality. I doubt he even ever trained to be strong to fight. He was powerful yet weak.
Remember that Shunsui using 100% of his Shikai isn't up to him. If his sword doesn't want to play, it doesn't want to play. Also remember that Stark was at full potential but didn't actually try-he used cero metralleta one time on Shunsui and that pushed him to his absolute limit where he was about to use bankai. Also remember that a few times Stark predicted where Shunsui was going to shunpo to and didn't shoot. Furthermore, going by the fact that Stark was likely able to overwhelm Ukitake with cero metralleta as he was going to, but didn't get to as Fura showed up, Stark could have kept going against the two of them. There's no telling what the wolves would have done to them either- he completely stomped two captain level Vizards and a point blank cero took Shunsui out for a while, even though he used it tactically. Need I also remind you that he literally tanked a backstab through his chest?

Starrk was one of my favorite characters. I thought he was really cool when I was watching/reading bleach. I was disappointed with how his character ended up though 😕 it just seemed like his potential was wasted
So many smoothbrains in the comments. This video includes POST-TIMESKIP characters. And in Bleach, characters get zenkai boosts. They've gotten stronger since the Arrancar arc.
Shunsui and ukitake weren't going all out. And tbh even tho Love and the other visor were captains in the past, I can't really consider them captains level

To this day, I'm still heartbroken by the injustice they put Halibel through. She didn't even make a canon in the last season in the manga when half of the OG party went to rescue her.
As far as Hueco Mundo arc goes, the real list is the one Aizen made with the exception that Segunda Etapa places Ulquiorra above Halibel. After the timeskip, the tattoos are obsolete.
The eternal mangykyo isn't a outright special ability all it does is make the user not get drawbacks by using the mangykyo sharingan (like itachis blindness cause by his regular MS) sauske never got a brand new ability with the EMS I'm sure the only reason why his sussano changed was because he himself got more powerful and more used to the ms

Ikr, I cant wait to see Halibels Second Release. Ive always liked the most because of her aspect of death, her fights with Toshiro and how no matter what he coudlnt really beat her(even with Liza and Hiyori) Most importantly how Ywach had to beat her himself.

I feel like he did the safe decision and put her under them since from what we know she is stronger than every other espada but we dont know how she would fair against those two. Until more is seen of her(Im hoping for it to be ASAP) I would agree with her placement. I mean next thing you know we finally get her abilities shown and she just Dominates Grimmjow and Nel, but until then Im ok with her placement.
The_Almighty_One I personally believe due to the fact Yhwach was required to beat her means she is probably indeed the strongest. Also the fact that she was the Queen of Hueco Mundo, why wouldn’t Grimm be King if he was stronger? Especially since he wanted to be the strongest Espada and King of Hueco Mundo like Clyde mentioned in his Video above, when talking about how Grimm wanted Barragans spot as king. The only reason I can think that he wouldn’t be King is because he isn’t stronger than Halibel. But we haven’t seen enough from Halibel to actually know much about her post time skip, where As we’ve at least seen Grimm fight a little bit. As for Clyde mentioning Halibel not wanting to fight Grimm that’s easy, Halibel doesn’t really like fighting at all if she doesn’t have to, doesn’t matter who it’s against. I agree placing her a bit lower is probably just playing it safe due to her lack of screen time. But she was stronger than Grimmjow before the time skip and there’s no reason she also wouldn’t have gotten stronger after it either. So I’d say it could go either way between them. Nel though is a whole other topic that I can’t be bothered getting into.

Correction on Stark: Shunsei was absolutely *considering* using his Bankai against him. However that was when Ukitake joined in and said 'That isn't something you should use around others'. It turns out he didn't need it however. Also those other 'second releases' are what-ifs.
I disagree. Although i think he should’ve been a lil higher, its made evident if someone is faster or have a stronger spiritual pressure, Barragan’s hax is useless. So Starkk could speed blitz him (just how Aizen did) and Mel or Ulquiorra can overpower his time manipulation. However i do think Barragan would slap Yami and possibly beat Halibel

Other replies are perfect. Grimmjow seeks a challenge, not a curb stomp. It's why he doesn't fight those extremely weak and those that much stronger than him. Aizen, at the time, was that much more powerful than him. People like Rukia he immediately one shotted so he could fight tougher opponents, like Ichigo. When they meet again, Grimmjow immediately wants to fight his old rival, still being relative to him in strength.

This means that, since Aizen himself ranked the Espada, they're actual raking is the correct one. I will agree with this list. But the second release forms (as in grimmjow and nelliel, along with the 3 recently added to yami Nnoritora, zommori) are just game cosmetic. They aren’t cannon in anyway to the actual story. Those forms are forms that are hypothetical situations if they had a hogyoku
Barragan and Starrk should be wayyy up. Starrk was the strongest of them all, but he never should any intent to fight. Also he was fighting Shunsui Kyoraku and Jushiro Ukitake, the 2 most powerful Captains(in my opinion), at the same time, so that should be taken into consideration. Also, Ulquiorra was way more powerful than Grimmjow.

Vasto Lorde ichigo was 10x stronger than Segunda etapa Ulquiorra which is proven by how Ulq needed cero oscuras to counter his normal cero. Dangai Ichigo is at least 2x (more like 10x) stronger than Vasto lorde Ichigo. Final arc grimmjow in base is relative (though weaker) than that Ichigo. Grimmjow is capable of increasing his power from base by 100x through segunda etapa
Was it ever stated Grimmjow actually has a Second release? I'm trying to find information on it but all I see is Kubo saying he COULD attain that form if he trained hard for it.

Stark should 100% be higher than Yami. Yami is a giant target who in his second release couldnt even out right beat anyone. He would simply be taking an infinite amount of ceros to the face. Also I believe you belittle Starks intelligence and power to much when given the fact he fought two people who believed they could hold of Yamamoto, are older and wiser as well as by far someone with some of the craziest hack abilities in the verse.

Wonderwiess is actually pretty strong in the first place beating two other Vizards after beating Ukitake who's weakness is his poor physical state. Grimmjow and Nelliel haven't a new resurreccion it's just an hypothetical fusion with hogyoku and it's no canon. Also Nnoitra Zommari Yammy and Ulquiorra have this form and soon all of the espadas will have that.

These forms aren't resurreccion yet. It's just a fusion between an espada and the hogyoku. Then, if Grimmjow or Nelliel would reach these forms in the canon, they should take the hogyoku. And it's never happened. Thus, these forms are totally no canon. And the fact that Kubo designed them doesn't change anything. Akira Toriyama designed characters for 90's DBZ movies and these are no canon.

Kinda unfair speaking of how Shunsui beat Stark when you could've placed Shunsui against ANY other espada and he would've made light work of them. Shunsui is captain commander level strong, Shunsui would've given any other captain the hands and I'm pretty sure he had more to offer. I would've at least placed him 3rd, then Nel, then Grimm.
Barragan is definitlrly top 3 Espada, therer isnt really any other captain that can defeat him with spirit pressure or hax, bEEgan can defeat most of thr captainst

The things that bugs me is the fact that he used the by Tite kubo approved second release of Grimmjow, but did not mention the approved third release of Ulquiorra (Ulqs 3th is not canon actualy and only exists in the Brave Souls game but it was designed and approved by Tite Kubo) And who knows, maybe the ranking will change once we get Hallibels second release

It doesn’t have to be by a massive amount (though starkk has WAYYY more spiritual pressure. starkk was so strong most hollows had to avoid him all together just to avoid a soul crush) you can resist hax. Also those above him in this list have way more spiritual pressure than him. I already explained starkk and Ulquorria is in a different tier along with yammy.

I get he has a second resureccion but that doesn't change his rank. He said Aizen never saw it but that doesn't mean he didnt know about it so he couldve changed his rank. All espadas' numbers at 10 or above show how strong they are. Only Nel, Grimmjow and Hallibel can be changed cuz they improved but otherwise its the same

you did not mentioned starrk ability to create hundreds of wolfs that are like living ceros that will run at the target and detonate, and his ability to create weapons made of reiryoku.
There is one thing I want to clarify: Clyde, the forms we are shown in Bleach Brave Souls are *not canon* - they are basically Kubo's way of saying "this is how they would look like *if* they had them". Plus, just so you know, they are not even *second releases* - there are Hogyokus implanted in them for a reason. What other way of justifying the fact that Ulquiorra also has one of those can you think of?

How can people actually say that? Did you not see what happened when Shunsui got serious? Shunsui STOMPED Starkk after Shunsui got serious. He outclassed Starkk in everything. Don't say Starkk was injured either, because Starkk shot Shunsui point blank range with a Cero. I'm not saying Starkk is weak though. Just saying that Shunsui was too strong.
@@ericx6969 Not really. The only small plothole here would be Ukitake saying Shunsui can't use his bankai around allies. Other than that, nothing is wrong with the fight. Shunsui was playing around and fought evenly with Starkk. Sure Starkk wasn't fighting for real either, but c'mon... Starkk's Cero Metralleta is pretty insane and is probably one of his strongest moves but Shunsui doged those like nothing. So to see Shunsui destroy after getting serious, the scaling doesn't look so bad.
I feel starrk never really showed his full strength.

He is a prodigy, but rarely ever seems impressive purely 'cause of his attitude.

Uncle Barry is a different case... his release name perfectly describes him. He is arrogant and lazy. Prefers to get the job done by goons. That's why I think Clyde's problems with him on don't caring about Grimmjow and Yamamoto as rivals is void, as it is part of his character and narrative. Despite being powerful... given his age, and Yama in contrast, he is not impressive at all. As ruler of HM he was content being on top in his own bubble, and probably stagnated for millenia before Aizen did his shenanigans. He doesn't care about Grimmjow, because he was not on the level of threat, he didn't care of SS, as they were not directly invading his turf. Once on top not caring until to late is a conscious part of his writing... and addig No.2 rank is just the perfect insult to injury.
Many sleep on him as having cool power and design that didn't go anywhere and consider him a lackluster character. But Barragan's depressing narrative is indeed fitting for the hollow king of a hollow world.

Same goes for Hallibel, outright stronger in her base form. Plus Ulq. 2nd rel. Outranks the rest because his 2nd res. was never taken into consideration to begin with.

And Shunsui didn't even use the full extent of his Shikai not to talk of what would have happened if he went into bankai. Besides they more of took turns with the fight. I think ulquiorra is the strongest. I only say this because he has two ressureccions and he tanked a hollowfied getsuga tensho without moving. He also is the smartest and most favored in the group, and aizen planned out his fight. Shunsui didn't even use 100% of his shikai while stark used his ressurrecion form. And from from Ulq he was the only one to achieve 2nd release. Hence it makes sense to say Stark was at full potential. Shunsui wasn't interested in fighting and same was for Utikate (forgotten how to spell his name). If Stark and Shunsui serious and at full power (including Shunsui at bankai) I say Shunsui wins without anyone else helping. The fact that Stark's prowess seems to be all long range attacks suggests he's most likely to be weak in close combat (an that's how he died to a silly Shunsui colour game).
Stark has alotta power available to him but he was weak in fighting. Mainly because of his mentality. I doubt he even ever trained to be strong to fight. He was powerful yet weak.
Remember that Shunsui using 100% of his Shikai isn't up to him. If his sword doesn't want to play, it doesn't want to play. Also remember that Stark was at full potential but didn't actually try-he used cero metralleta one time on Shunsui and that pushed him to his absolute limit where he was about to use bankai. Also remember that a few times Stark predicted where Shunsui was going to shunpo to and didn't shoot. Furthermore, going by the fact that Stark was likely able to overwhelm Ukitake with cero metralleta as he was going to, but didn't get to as Fura showed up, Stark could have kept going against the two of them. There's no telling what the wolves would have done to them either- he completely stomped two captain level Vizards and a point blank cero took Shunsui out for a while, even though he used it tactically. Need I also remind you that he literally tanked a backstab through his chest?

Starrk was one of my favorite characters. I thought he was really cool when I was watching/reading bleach. I was disappointed with how his character ended up though 😕 it just seemed like his potential was wasted

The eternal mangykyo isn't a outright special ability all it does is make the user not get drawbacks by using the mangykyo sharingan (like itachis blindness cause by his regular MS) sauske never got a brand new ability with the EMS I'm sure the only reason why his sussano changed was because he himself got more powerful and more used to the ms

Until more is seen of her(Im hoping for it to be ASAP) I would agree with her placement. I mean next thing you know we finally get her abilities shown and she just Dominates Grimmjow and Nel, but until then Im ok with her placement.

I personally believe due to the fact Yhwach was required to beat her means she is probably indeed the strongest. Also the fact that she was the Queen of Hueco Mundo, why wouldn’t Grimm be King if he was stronger? Especially since he wanted to be the strongest Espada and King of Hueco Mundo like Clyde mentioned in his Video above, when talking about how Grimm wanted Barragans spot as king. The only reason I can think that he wouldn’t be King is because he isn’t stronger than Halibel. But we haven’t seen enough from Halibel to actually know much about her post time skip, where As we’ve at least seen Grimm fight a little bit. As for Clyde mentioning Halibel not wanting to fight Grimm that’s easy, Halibel doesn’t really like fighting at all if she doesn’t have to, doesn’t matter who it’s against.
I agree placing her a bit lower is probably just playing it safe due to her lack of screen time. But she was stronger than Grimmjow before the time skip and there’s no reason she also wouldn’t have gotten stronger after it either. So I’d say it could go either way between them. Nel though is a whole other topic that I can’t be bothered getting into.

I will agree with this list. But the second release forms (as in grimmjow and nelliel, along with the 3 recently added to yami Nnoritora, zommori) are just game cosmetic. They aren’t cannon in anyway to the actual story. Those forms are forms that are hypothetical situations if they had a hogyoku

Barragan and Starrk should be wayyy up. Starrk was the strongest of them all, but he never should any intent to fight. Also he was fighting Shunsui Kyoraku and Jushiro Ukitake, the 2 most powerful Captains(in my opinion), at the same time, so that should be taken into consideration. Also, Ulquiorra was way more powerful than Grimmjow.

Vasto Lorde ichigo was 10x stronger than Segunda etapa Ulquiorra which is proven by how Ulq needed cero oscuras to counter his normal cero. Dangai Ichigo is at least 2x (more like 10x) stronger than Vasto lorde Ichigo. Final arc grimmjow in base is relative (though weaker) than that Ichigo. Grimmjow is capable of increasing his power from base by 100x through segunda etapa

Stark should 100% be higher than Yami. Yami is a giant target who in his second release couldnt even out right beat anyone. He would simply be taking an infinite amount of ceros to the face. Wonderwiess is actually pretty strong in the first place beating two other Vizards after beating Ukitake who's weakness is his poor physical state. Not only that but love and Rose fought Stark also making it essentially a 4v1.5 lol

Grimmjow and Nelliel haven't a new resurreccion it's just an hypothetical fusion with hogyoku and it's no canon. Also Nnoitra Zommari Yammy and Ulquiorra have this form and soon all of the espadas will have that.
Well that's debatable tite kubo drew them and authorised by him so you can say they are cannon but yh I agree that soo all espada will soon get one plus ulq has a 3rd release that he never brings up which is only fair considering he brought up the other new ressurections
These forms aren't resurreccion yet. It's just a fusion between an espada and the hogyoku. Then, if Grimmjow or Nelliel would reach these forms in the canon, they should take the hogyoku. And it's never happened. Thus, these forms are totally no canon. And the fact that Kubo designed them doesn't change anything. Akira Toriyama designed characters for 90's DBZ movies and these are no canon.

Kinda unfair speaking of how Shunsui beat Stark when you could've placed Shunsui against ANY other espada and he would've made light work of them. Shunsui is captain commander level strong, Shunsui would've given any other captain the hands and I'm pretty sure he had more to offer. I would've at least placed him 3rd, then Nel, then Grimm.
Barragan is definitlrly top 3 Espada, therer isnt really any other captain that can defeat him with spirit pressure or hax, bEEgan can defeat most of thr captainst

Higher Spiritual pressure would neg his ability. Starkk Ulquorria Aizen yammy would have been unaffected by his ability in the arc

It doesn’t have to be by a massive amount (though starkk has WAYYY more spiritual pressure. starkk was so strong most hollows had to avoid him all together just to avoid a soul crush) you can resist hax. Also those above him in this list have way more spiritual pressure than him. I already explained starkk and Ulquorria is in a different tier along with yammy.
@@KombatW0mbat It doesnt matter lol. Barragan is no.2, so he has the third highest reiryoku and thus reiatsu among all the espadas, so Ulquiorra would be affected as he is below him in rank. I get he has a second resureccion but that doesn't change his rank. He said Aizen never saw it but that doesn't mean he didnt know about it so he couldve changed his rank. All espadas' numbers at 10 or above show how strong they are. Only Nel, Grimmjow and Hallibel can be changed cuz they improved but otherwise its the same

His cero oscuras was cancelled out by vasto lorde’s cero. Clyde, the forms we are shown in Bleach Brave Souls are *not canon* - they are basically Kubo's way of saying "this is how they would look like *if* they had them". Plus, just so you know, they are not even *second releases* - there are Hogyokus implanted in them for a reason. What other way of justifying the fact that Ulquiorra also has one of those can you think of?
To be fair Shushi was going to use Bankai but Ukataka did tell him that his Bankai would be wasted here. Uless that was just a filler scene during the anime.
It wasn't a filler scene, Ukitake mentions that in the manga (Chapter 363, page 6).

9:22 he was going to use his Bankai until Ukitake told him not to use it because there were comrades in the vicinity, so he could run the risk of getting others trapped in this bankai.
How can people actually say that? Did you not see what happened when Shunsui got serious? Shunsui STOMPED Starkk after Shunsui got serious. He outclassed Starkk in everything. Don't say Starkk was injured either, because Starkk shot Shunsui point blank range with a Cero. I'm not saying Starkk is weak though. Just saying that Shunsui was too strong.
@@ericx6969 Not really. The only small plothole here would be Ukitake saying Shunsui can't use his bankai around allies. Other than that, nothing is wrong with the fight. Shunsui was playing around and fought evenly with Starkk. Sure Starkk wasn't fighting for real either, but c'mon... Starkk's Cero Metralleta is pretty insane and is probably one of his strongest moves but Shunsui doged those like nothing. So to see Shunsui destroy after getting serious, the scaling doesn't look so bad.
