Love the look of the watch but the lack of an exhibition case back is a deal breaker. Plus I like a date. If half that price, I’d have given it a second look.
Reviving designs from almost 2 centuries ago seems a weak concept to me, yet I do respect the purists who enjoy to see the same thing done over and over, and over again. Not sure if they are hoping for the next level of perfection through proportions adjustments that are otherwise impossible to notice naked eye. I would understand this if a true tribute to the past bringing all the elements to the next level, if possible, but for an 800 bucks watch I wish I could see a more daring exploration of the senses. Congratulations again to Andrew for being able to entertain us every second of his video! 👏🏻
I advice you as a Korean. Please don't buy it. Watch maker started his RUclips channel as a RUclipsr talking shit about other major watch brands like he is a watch expert. He even sued one brand doing this. He did all this to get attention so he can sell his watch later. Till here, it's not really a big problem. Problem is that he launched his watch with flaws that he criticized other major brands for. Initial price for this watch was 1,690,000 KRW which is roughly $1300 USD, but nobody wanted it because he did not follow any guideline he mentioned nor his criticism toward other major brands. Also qc was serious. Many people who did the pre-order got terrible watches. Even watch from his own RUclips channel was in horrible condition. But Pitzman said this is the right watch for the price. He talked like a noble man scolding to low class ppl and that is what made people made. When shit gets too serious, he appologized and sold his watch for 690,000 KRW which is roughly $530.
Dear Bluenote, First I am Korean. Second, I am not related to Pitzmann. I wish I was, but I am so busy to only deal with my job. Third, I am a member of 'Watchholic' Naver cafe for many years. they did not talking shit, it is criticism. I know Pitzmann also can be criticised. However, please just do about the watch itself. What you are saying, the price? it was not the way it was as you said. they they claim 170 is the price without any profit. they never mentioned that. I know all the history since I am huge fan. I got one question. what made you talking these not truth to all world people? you can criticze the watch. please do not spread any more of no truth. please.
I am a Korean who likes watches. Please look at it and judge it yourself. What "blueote" says is that it's cleverly criticizing the producer by mixing some truths with lies.

There is no point debating with you if you are only going to say "Just talk about the watch.", and "stop lying." Everyone has different point of view. I care about the seller as much as the end product, so I am sharing the things happened to the brand. I even started my comment saying "I advice". Visiting seoul soon so keen to explore the/any watchmaking in the local market. Thanks for this heads up on new and interesting brands around the world.
I have to say I like it. Would I purchase one? That's more of a tough one as I have other watches that cover a similar style. If I didn't I'd certainly take a look though and who knows maybe part with some hard earned cash and make a purchase. I might just keep half a bloodshot beady eye on the brand though and see what else they come up with in the future.
The case has very Blancpain look and the dial is reminiscent of a Breguet. Overall a very nice looking watch from a new Microbrand.with a good Sellita movement suitably modified. 👍⌚😎
This is the watch space the brand can really compete and make a compelling argument for "Best value for money". For many, even $4k is unrealistic and drastically reducing the number of units sold. At this pricepoint, enthusiasts willing to fork out $400ish for a Moonswatch, would be getting more than twice the value with one of these. I also believe this blows the Tisso PRX out of the water as well, and in all reality, does the Seiko Alpinist really compare pound for pound, detail for detail? Maybe the high power reserve makes a valid argument, but if the watch is this good of value and 100m water resistance....it could be work 7 days a week instead of M-F.
First of all Thank You for showcasing this outlier brand/watch. These are always fun to see and I’m not sure anyone could have been a better ambassador for them. Secondly, do Brits really pronounce Seoul ‘seal’ like the mammal and not ‘soul’ like part of your foot? While I do appreciate the refined path Pitzmann chose I think they should have gone further. The market is flooded with Swiss micro brands bringing good design to the table with inherent prestige built in at $800. They may not be quite as refined but an off the shelf movement, that is only slightly altered, and a less impressive version of enamel is doubtful to push the bar over the Korea hurdle for most buyers IMHO. Much like Grand Seiko the need to go way beyond expectations in order to gain clout is real. Go big now to generate prestige and build the brand then scale back to more affordable options once you have solid footing in the market. Competing against Swiss brands at this price point without hype is almost impossible. I really don’t believe true blued hands and cold enamel is enough.
Yes I’m commenting on my own comment but I may have been completely wrong. I decided to check out their website and the more I look at that watch the more I want it and doubt I’m alone. Their is some real magic in their proportions. Then I saw their 2nd watch and was blown away. There is a really strong chance they are going to go head to head with Switzerland and win. I’m actually drawn to them being from Korea because I find it refreshing. Here’s to hoping others do as well because they deserve a seat at the table and I want one on my wrist.

I hope that they come up with more Korean brand and South Korea should make a free trade agreement with Switzerland.
Love the look of the watch but the lack of an exhibition case back is a deal breaker. Plus I like a date. If half that price, I’d have given it a second look.
lovely piece, but i hope the logo designs can be better. looking forward to their future pieces!
Wow Korea watch..I am Korean
Beautifully simplistic, great movement. Looking for a dress watch this coming autumn - this is worth a look.
A part of me died when he pronounced Seoul as See-ool
That's the correct pronounciation. Much as with Hawai'i, most people get it wrong.
@@jpdemer5 suh-ool, not see-ool.
That's a really gorgeous watch. The logo is neat as well.
Wow. Here I was thinking it would be a while before I bought my next watch. That thing is gorgeous.
@@user-pq1zs2cn2m Yes. 먹깨비 is right. you all people and watch lovers, please see the fact by yourself and do not believe what random people is saying. Also, please consider the watch itself.
@@user-pq1zs2cn2m I don't think OP said any false information at all. they did reviewed other watches including Tissot, Hamilton, Squale etc. in a very sarcastic and almost sadistic manner. Which resulted many subscribers to eventually unsub and turn their backs from them.
I don't see why do you accusing him for "lying". I'm just seeing you shilling for Pitzmann for apparently no affiliation.
@@watchyourself5500 I am also a member of Watch Holic since 2017. Majority of Watch Holic members are relatively old and busy with their jobs, so they have no time spare finding out things I said. Everything I said is true. If you truly think what I said is a lie, I suggest you to do more research. Tomorrow is Korean holiday so It seems like a good day to spend some time isn't it?
There is no point debating with you if you are only going to say "Just talk about the watch.", and "stop lying."
Everyone has different point of view. I care about the seller as much as the end product, so I am sharing the things happened to the brand. I even started my comment saying "I advice". If you only care about the final product, just walk away.
And yes, as you said Pitzman said selling his watch for 1,690,000 KRW will leave him no profit, but then he sold his watch for 690,000 KRW. It is still up to you trust them but I personally cannot.
6:29. interesting shape of the base of the second hand. Similar to the the logo.. sort of elipse like
800-900 for an unknown micro-brand sounds not that cheap.
Going to need better QC, the poor printing at 54 seconds would have me annoyed even at that price point. Also lack of a ECB at this price point is surprising from an unknown brand.
I’d take this over a Richard Mille
Lovely watch not my style (currently) but your review kept my attention.
Would anyone happen to know how the modified movement would play into serviceability, I'm new into the hobby and have never had a watch serviced but i've seen a few videos mentioning that its something to consider
You should know something is not right when a Korean watch brand goes by a pretentious German name “Pitzmann”.
Stunning watch and thank you for the detailed video.
Looks really nice. Definitely a solid proposition. I will strongly consider to get one.
Visiting seoul soon so keen to explore the/any watchmaking in the local market. Thanks for this heads up on new and interesting brands around the world.
I’ll buy it when they make it in 36mm as well. See through case back wouldn’t hurt.
Their second watch is more adventurous and still flawless.
This is a serious watch, look forward to their future models.
I have to say I like it. Would I purchase one? That's more of a tough one as I have other watches that cover a similar style. If I didn't I'd certainly take a look though and who knows maybe part with some hard earned cash and make a purchase. I might just keep half a bloodshot beady eye on the brand though and see what else they come up with in the future.
very beautiful watch. i want one!
Makes me think of Saul Goodman. It's the pits, man.
The case has very Blancpain look and the dial is reminiscent of a Breguet. Overall a very nice looking watch from a new Microbrand.with a good Sellita movement suitably modified. 👍⌚😎
That watch looks like a Sugess.
The last thing that I need is another watch.....But you really got me on this one.
I love this one. It seems just right. Thank you!
Mine is sitting in custom clearance at the moment hope to pick it up this week.
I bought the first Sony Betamax in 1975
More videos on pocket watches would be very nice as well! Loved the video as always!
Cold Enameling = Resin + Hardener = Plastic.
Reminds me of the Stowa Marine Classic.
A well regulated 2892 or the new selita 300 with longer power reserve are better than many so called in- house movement.
That is a very beautiful watch indeed. The only thing that's keeping it from costing much much more is its unknown name.
Why does it have a German name? Would look better with some Korean characters instead of Pitzman.
Too bad this brand doesn't have a Korean name....
Nice looking watch. I'd like to see what's in their future. Keep us updated
Dornbluth und Sohn on the cheap? Slightly mixed bag for me, but I like it.
Very strong competitor to the Stowa Marine Classic
Awesome watch, awesome city!
It reminds me of my Hamilton Khaki Navy Pioneer
I wonder if Pitzmann considered using a GS auto movement.....if they could get one, that is☘
Have a look at tissel. They do enamel dials with a seagull movement... Very similar to this overall, and also Korean, but for a fraction of the cost.
They use a lot of mid-grade miyota movements like 9015 which is pretty good Japanese movement.
I really like this watch. Good looking and classic.
Lovely watch. Shame that, like many microbrands, their company name just doesn't sound quite right somehow. Still, a very nice watch.
Another great production! I like this watch, but the logo and name not so much.
