In previous videos, I shared this support page as a suggestion. Sadly things have changed. The tax treaty between the US and my country ended, meaning that from now on, Google is taxing me and other RUclips creators who live here. So now, I am actively asking for anyone who can to support me. Of course only if it's not a burden on you.
Now onto what this video is.
As the Godzilla franchise nears its 70th anniversary, fans living outside of Japan, the USA or other luckier countries get more and more ignored. I had hoped the international acclaim of Godzilla Minus One would improve things, but it just divided us even further.
Toho and international distributors didn't care to bring the movie to my country, nor to most other countries in the region, nor Southeast Asia and several other places. They keep showering Japan and the West with content, but their blatant negligence of fans in the rest of the world just make me lose interest in this godforsaken franchise. Japanese and Americans fans are living in a "golden age" of Godzilla. Sometimes even West European fans get what they want. To the rest of us, the "dark times" from 2004-2013 are still ongoing, our access to the franchise's media and merch is still limited or straight-up denied.
I get why this is. Godzilla is definitely not a popular franchise in most of the world, especially here in East Europe. The one and only time my country released a Toho Godzilla film was before my lifetime. If even Minus One couldn't raise any meaningful interest, I doubt I could expect this to change.
Sorry for the small rant, but me and other local fans really feel left behind by both Toho and their associates and the larger Japanese and Western fanbase.
This is also why I focus more on making fan works than on official media. But unlike official distributors, I don't want to hold back on releasing content that might interest some of my viewers. This is a scene I animated in 2017 but it was originally planned out around 2015-16 for my "Godzilla Fan Animation Thing" video series. So please excuse the crudeness and the primitive models. I redid the texture work on the monsters, adjusted a lot of the animation and effects. I had to render each shot over and over until they looked "good enough".
The scene is still incomplete, I had to edit or remove certain things because this is just a preview. But this is the closest this project has ever looked to being finished. And there is over an hour of animation that has yet to be fully rendered. Most of it isn't really good but I believe there is enough fun and imaginative stuff in there to merit finishing the whole thing. I might go back to it once I'm done with other projects.
You know someone is dedicated when they spend almost 6 years creating a single non-profit fan animation.

Gigan owns a ranch in his personal life, where he employed Megalon as a farmhand after Seatopia's economy collapsed. On his planet, cows are called chickens, and Gigan doesn't understand why Earth people call them by a different name. This is one of the reasons he wants to destroy Earth.
It all makes sense now. That Gigan seems to be an honest monster.

Vrahno....thank you. I'm currently with a close relative that is passing from cancer. We were told it was in remission and that the Outlook was amazing just two weeks ago.....till just now, when he went in for a checkup and was told that he has a month and a half at most. So....anytime between now and April.
I needed a laugh. I know this sounds cheesy, but this video seriously came in the nick of time. Again. Thank you.
I hope that what you are doing here now will not go unnoticed. Your talent and knowledge of the genre helps so many people that you wouldn't even think it. Everyone involved with the Godzilla franchise....anyone involved with the current state of Camera....and anyone looking to start fresh with new daikaiju....NEED to see your work and contact you.

Before I type anything else, let me express my deepest condolences about your loved one. I am saddened that your family is going through such a painful period. Stay close to him as much as you can and make sure he knows how important he is. I don't want you to live with any sort of regret, so make good use of the time you can still spend together. Loss and death are horrible, but I from my experience, neglect and regret poisons the rest of your life as well. I'm sending my heartfelt sympathy to your relative too.
If you derived joy from my video, then I am glad to be a little bright spot in this dark time. Some time ago, I haven't even considered these silly videos could have that kind of effect. I mostly viewed them as little throwaway distractions. But you can never predict what kind of positive (or indeed negative) effect they might have on viewers. There has been way too much discord and a bad atmosphere as of late, both in the world outside and in the Godzilla fan communities. So I will try to focus more on the cheerful side of things and infuse more positivity into my animations, and I'd also like to apologize for some of the off-putting and off-color content in some of the videos. As I said, to me most of them are just throwaway gags and random silly ideas, but I'd like to sprinkle in some cheerful messages here and there too.
The downside is that these videos take very long to make. There are lots of positive themes and messages I have wanted to express for years, but they will have to wait until their videos are done. I hope you will find the end products fun, even if you have to wait patiently to see them.
I also wish you whatever you need to pull through, and hope you won't associate this video with the painful memories of the hardships that unjustly fell upon you. And thank you for your kind, personal message.
If you allow me to say something personal too, this animation does sadly bring up some sad memories in me because so much has happened during the time I worked on it, including terrible loss. It's not easy to separate those feelings from the animation, but I hope you will manage to focus on the entertainment the videos provide, rather than the painful memories they might bring back up.

I'm a Filipino fan, Southeast Asia, and the neglect on our region is such a burn. I keep hearing all the praise and glory for minus one, and it's beena movie I was so excited to watch and have been staying as spoiler free as I can in the desperate hope that maybe the film would come here some day or year
I have seen lots of Southeast Asian fans on social media outraged about not being able to watch the film (only via piracy), and I feel sorry for you as well. There is really no benefit in keeping entire countries from seeing the film, unless Toho and other companies think that distributing the film would cost more than the expected box office intake. Regardless, they are leaving thousands of fans disappointed and feeling betrayed. I have even seen people who are not normally interested in Godzilla wanting to see this film, but they are also left out of the fun. This is a tremendous missed opportunity for expanding the franchise and bringing in new fans.
@@Vrahno yeah it is such a missed opportunity for them on potential earnings! And even more so on us fans who won't get to see it on the bug screen. I don't like getting too dramatic, but being a godzilla fan here is hard and annoying

This video is so unbelievably detailed. From the puppet strings holding up Ghidorah’s heads, to how expressive Gigan is despite not even having a proper face, and just how they all move with their own personality just ties this all together.

I remember we talked via dA notes about how we are denied heavily for Godzilla content because of where we live and reading the description i'm sorry to hear it's gotten worse still. I had to travel off island just to see the new movie since there were no previews for it anywhere. I hope you're doing well regardless.
At least you got to see it, and I hope you had a good time. I could have traveled to some neighboring country to watch an English subtitled version, but that would have taken an entire day. I also kept waiting for an answer from the European distributor but they deliberately avoided me and most other fans too. By the time they did reply to someone else, the film was already out of theaters. They royally screwed us over. Had they revealed sooner that the film wouldn't be playing here, I could have tried to organize a little road trip.

Nice animation as always! I know it probably doesn’t mean much, but I’m sorry that you and so many others feel that way. It kinda slap myself in reality on how not everywhere is gonna have the same luxury on distributing Godzilla minus one, and other content like the US. It’s sucks too now that RUclips/google are taxing you just so you can have a channel..
That said, I’m grateful we still have people like you putting out genuine good videos/animations and don’t ask for much in return. It really puts in perspective on how much people can love a series, even when odds are against them. Hears hoping you’ll receive more support for the future, stay strong.

The fuss around Minus One has been a small-scale travesty, which is a shame because I (and many other fans) would have loved to join in on celebrating Godzilla. Being a kaiju fan in Europe was already difficult enough, it often feels like walking on eggshells because there are so many people who viciously hate this genre and Godzilla in specific, and many of them will bash the fans too. So in this near-constant sea of hate, it was incredible to see even a moderate amount of positivity about Minus One or the Monarch show. Sadly this positivity didn't amount to much in the end.

As a person almost the same age as Godzilla I grew up watching the old films on a B&W tv. I Love your obscure references like the piano wires. And that since the buildings used in the films were only models no Interior rooms. But I really liked the old King Kong reference… when he was peering into buildings looking for Fay Wray …and you did the spoof on that.
