7:34 that really hit... For people who don't know. In the original " rodan" of 1956 there were two of them, a male and female. However at the end of the movie, the female is stuck because of the flames of an active volcano. The male try to save her but unfortunatly he fails, and both of them perish in the volcano. A third rodan will then appears, the rodan we all know. The last of his kind.... But now he is not alone anymore ❤️

@@ColorInversion Yes it is the Rodan Heisei but the family lore belongs to the Rodan Showa. The author gave him that of his counterpart to enrich his story. The newspaper sheet in Motha's house also belongs to the Showa era, the characters are a combination of different timelines.

Only Legendary's Rodan is a jerk. They portrayed him as someone arrogant that when he meets someone more powerful he becomes submissive and obedient. Basically Starscream. But both Rodan Showa and Rodan Heisei are good guys, especially Heisei.

The subtle ques of Rodan looking back at his home and the background motions of gathering the flowers for a later emotional reveal really show a talent and skill in story telling as well as animation

☑️Minor spoilers☑️ The fact that you connected rodans first movie and connecting that by showing the portraits of his parents and him being hesitant of going into the room (presumably by having PTSD from losing his parents) and the ending shot of his parents and the baby from the broken egg (which almost made me cry). This whole episode was so well done, amazing job
The room scene is very emotional. They way I see it, it was Rodan's old egg and he's paying respect to his parents that died in the 1956 movie from the volcano. Maybe the reason he's doing parenting research is to make sure he's present after having to growing up by himself with the only family he had being Little Godzilla and learning how to be a dad for the 1st time since his passed away to teach him. Based on the credits, the parent figures he had were Showa Goji & Mothra. That's just my interpretation. Overall I love these animations and can't wait to see more along with Lil Pootis.

It’s easy to forget that Rodan, Like Mothra, was first seen in his own movie during the classic showa era, but was later added to Toho’s famous roster of “Godzilla” Kaiju. Easily one of my favorite Kaiju of all time, but I feel like he hasn’t gotten the respect he deserves. Well, until now. This video is 🔥
I think he's gotten plenty of respect. at least compared to most other monsters anyway. He's the first monster (along with Mothra) to be considered Godzilla's ally, he's part of the Big 5 (Showing up in each era) and; like you said, he's a monster who got his own movie before becoming part of the Godzillaverse. Granted, he's probably the least talked about of the big five, but Mothra, King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla are just far more talked about.
Early showa rodan was like Godzillas equal where they didn’t necessarily like eachother but would work together if need be Hopefully we can see monsterverse rodan kinda follow suit and ally with Godzilla to defeat a greater enemy one of these days

Rodan's fear of the egg not hatching and trauma from the last egg brings tears to the eyes and is very heartbreaking but the fact he gets his happy ending is heartwarming, your way of story telling is fabulous and tbh I'm excited to see the 2nd Generation of the Monster Island crew with the added addition of Rodan Jr (A solo episode featuring Godzilla Jr, Mothra Jr and Larve A.K.A Mothra's children and Rodan Jr please I need that episode in my life)

I friggin love it! If I had to complain about anything at all, I kinda wished it was explained a little bit more why Manda just eats babies. A bunch of characters get their own bio, while the one I have the most questions about gets nothing
My Dad found the first Godzilla animation you did (borger) and we all loved it. We have a Godzilla home, especially my Dad who has been a diehard fan of the franchise since the beginning. We watched through all of your animations in anticipation for this one, and it did not disappoint! It was so fun catching little hints here and there like a scavenger hunt (my Dad appreciates every detail you put in!) This was beautiful, and you truly are one of the pillars in the Godzilla fandom imo
I love how there are no words to be spoken. Yet you can feel and understand every little emotion in this movie. Rodan as a toho own character has always been a deep and philosophical monster. And youve done them much more justice than most ❤
This just gives off the BEST kinds of Saturday morning cartoon vibes that is favoured by both children and adults alike, this one episode in particular is off the charts in terms of animation and wholesomeness
Exactly every thing about this is just wholesome, there were some bits where I didn’t know anything about because I’m not familiar with the Godzilla lore but like at the end of this video I feel bad for Godzilla Jr because apparently he only has two friends on monster island :(
I haven't cried since Minus one. This was so cute to see. The baby was by far the best reveal,but the reveal of the pictures to his parents made this one my favorite. You can feel just how worried rodan is to be a father,and when his dream is finally complete,he can rest easy with his newborn child.
I noticed there were no closed captions during the scene where Rodan lays flowers by his egg. Very good move: really allows the imagery and music to just speak for itself in such an emotional moment of mourning.

Your story telling is unbelievably touching. I almost cried when the egg got stolen. I love your animations and your kaiju series so much! This one was incredibly heartfelt, you have a nack for making emotional stories! I laughed, almost cried and overall it just gave me such a warm feeling. Things like this is getting me more and more into Toho stuff.
Rodan's always been the cool brother/fun uncle type to me so it's cool to see that portrayed in a more comedic/emotional manner with this animation. Great work!
I love how Godzilla and Ghidorah having another fight is a background event to Rodan waiting for his egg to hatch. Also i cannot tell you how much my ears perked up when I recognized the Dragon Quest Music
I don't typically watch fan animations, particularly some of the more "cutesy" kind, they just don't do much for me. But as a Rodan stan, I couldn't help but give this a click when it showed up as recommended. This was wonderful! So much heart and love poured into the characters and the story, and the animation is top notch. Very well done, and I'll be sure to check out your other works.

The horror I felt when Manda cracked the egg was legitimately visceral like i felt my stomach clench from that and it didnt let go until Rodan Jr came out of the gg and he is so cute i am sobbing
Quazies, you somehow managed to break my heart and sew it back together again in the span of 13 minutes. That's somefantastic storytelling! The scene with the eggshell sitting in the light of the forest was genuinely breathtaking, especially how you cast the light through the trees.

Love this so much I watched it several times with and without the funny narration. The emotional stare and despair Rodan showed looking at the empty shell hit hard. That relief of meeting his baby is done so masterful. Love the bgm and sfx. This is high quality movie materials. As a big Rodan fan, this might be one of my favorite portrayals if the character ever. He's so often treated as the butt if the joke that it's so nice to see his caring nature be more fleshed out. It's always nice to see how both the animation and character designs change every video. And of course the Easter eggs (no pun intended), my favorite being hedorah watching House, it's so on point. Gorosaurus is a mood and I love him for it. And Manda as the antagonist was quite a surprise. Though can anyone explain to me, did Rodan loose both a mate and a child? Or did he loose his parents?
I think it's a combination- I know in his first appearance, Rodan's mom and dad perished, and I seem to remember another version of Rodan having an egg that got destroyed. I could be misremembering that second part though
I can't remember which movie it was exactly, but I do remember that one of Rodans original movies there was a pair of rodans like kaiju that started causing havoc after awakening from a volcano together? The rodan we would come to know was the surviving monster from that film.
I wasn't expecting this video to be that emotional, I legitimately almost teared up in some parts, also Godzilla's name written in the clouds was a cool Easter egg
This animation about Rodan's preparation for his egg's hatching was very touching and I love the part where he tries to look back at his past of his family. Very emotional at the ending and I hope Rodan will do his best to take of his baby like a true father should, like the G-man, but better. >w< Speaking of which, that one scene where Rodan is hanging out with Godzilla Jr reminded me of the fact that he protected him as a surrogate brother in the heisei movie. A pretty good touching moment as I viewed the other few minor monsters' updated appearances. Great job as always, Quazies. :)
Things I love about this 1: The movements of each monster, especially Rodan in 1:26, 6.27, and 8:50. Also the Mothra larvae moving like a worm when running from the water at 2:33 when you could have just had them move their tiny lil legs and float across the ground. 2: How expressive each character is. Their emotions are absolutely out for everyone to see and it looks great in your style. Godzilla's facial animations at 4:35 and 12:29 and their really shine with their slightly higher frame count. 3. Pre-established points coming back such as how Manda loves easy prey and Rodan doing his happy beak clap at 12:13 (so freaking great) 4. World building. The intermission shows a copywrite for monster island at 1968, a year after the first movie monster island appeared in (Son of Godzilla) which either means copyright complications occurred or the deal Mothra made with Japan in 64 wasn't finalized until then (or I'm looking too far into it). Mothra is a very popular monster in the islands, and elections for monster representatives are held. We can see in the newspaper that King Caesar at least respects Mothra but doesn't fully agree with her way of doing things. Rodan was raised by Mothra (or at least *A* Mothra) after the death of his parents, the events of the showa and heisei era are somewhat connected, though obviously in a unique way (I have no idea how old Godzilla is), and thanks to the credits we know that the fight in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla 2 between Godzilla and Rodan did happen. The world feels alive and I can't wait to see more of it. 5. Battra

The fact that you connected rodans first movie and connecting that by showing the portraits of his parents and him being hesitant of going into the room (presumably by having PTSD from losing his parents) and the ending shot of his parents and the baby from the broken egg (which almost made me cry). This whole episode was so well done, amazing job

The room scene is very emotional. They way I see it, it was Rodan's old egg and he's paying respect to his parents that died in the 1956 movie from the volcano. Maybe the reason he's doing parenting research is to make sure he's present after having to growing up by himself with the only family he had being Little Godzilla and learning how to be a dad for the 1st time since his passed away to teach him. Based on the credits, the parent figures he had were Showa Goji & Mothra. That's just my interpretation. Overall I love these animations and can't wait to see more along with Lil Pootis.

It’s easy to forget that Rodan, Like Mothra, was first seen in his own movie during the classic showa era, but was later added to Toho’s famous roster of “Godzilla” Kaiju.
Easily one of my favorite Kaiju of all time, but I feel like he hasn’t gotten the respect he deserves.
Well, until now. This video is 🔥
I liked his portrayal in the monster verse, sort of like a Starscream type character that plays both sides but may be able to redeem himself later.
Its nice that Quazies payed homage to the original movie. Even if it is heartbreaking.
I think he's gotten plenty of respect. at least compared to most other monsters anyway. He's the first monster (along with Mothra) to be considered Godzilla's ally, he's part of the Big 5 (Showing up in each era) and; like you said, he's a monster who got his own movie before becoming part of the Godzillaverse.
Granted, he's probably the least talked about of the big five, but Mothra, King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla are just far more talked about.
Early showa rodan was like Godzillas equal where they didn’t necessarily like eachother but would work together if need be
Hopefully we can see monsterverse rodan kinda follow suit and ally with Godzilla to defeat a greater enemy one of these days

Rodan's fear of the egg not hatching and trauma from the last egg brings tears to the eyes and is very heartbreaking but the fact he gets his happy ending is heartwarming, your way of story telling is fabulous and tbh I'm excited to see the 2nd Generation of the Monster Island crew with the added addition of Rodan Jr (A solo episode featuring Godzilla Jr, Mothra Jr and Larve A.K.A Mothra's children and Rodan Jr please I need that episode in my life)

My Dad found the first Godzilla animation you did (borger) and we all loved it. We have a Godzilla home, especially my Dad who has been a diehard fan of the franchise since the beginning. We watched through all of your animations in anticipation for this one, and it did not disappoint! It was so fun catching little hints here and there like a scavenger hunt (my Dad appreciates every detail you put in!) This was beautiful, and you truly are one of the pillars in the Godzilla fandom imo

I love how there are no words to be spoken. Yet you can feel and understand every little emotion in this movie. Rodan as a toho own character has always been a deep and philosophical monster. And youve done them much more justice than most ❤
This just gives off the BEST kinds of Saturday morning cartoon vibes that is favoured by both children and adults alike, this one episode in particular is off the charts in terms of animation and wholesomeness
Exactly every thing about this is just wholesome, there were some bits where I didn’t know anything about because I’m not familiar with the Godzilla lore but like at the end of this video I feel bad for Godzilla Jr because apparently he only has two friends on monster island :(

The baby was by far the best reveal,but the reveal of the pictures to his parents made this one my favorite. You can feel just how worried rodan is to be a father,and when his dream is finally complete,he can rest easy with his newborn child.
I noticed there were no closed captions during the scene where Rodan lays flowers by his egg. Very good move: really allows the imagery and music to just speak for itself in such an emotional moment of mourning.

Your story telling is unbelievably touching. I almost cried when the egg got stolen. I love your animations and your kaiju series so much! This one was incredibly heartfelt, you have a nack for making emotional stories! I laughed, almost cried and overall it just gave me such a warm feeling. Things like this is getting me more and more into Toho stuff.
Rodan's always been the cool brother/fun uncle type to me so it's cool to see that portrayed in a more comedic/emotional manner with this animation. Great work!

Godzilla Junior would technically be Rodan Junior’s uncle, since Rodan sees Godzilla Junior as a little brother.
I don't typically watch fan animations, particularly some of the more "cutesy" kind, they just don't do much for me. But as a Rodan stan, I couldn't help but give this a click when it showed up as recommended. This was wonderful! So much heart and love poured into the characters and the story, and the animation is top notch. Very well done, and I'll be sure to check out your other works.

As a dad, I really liked this animation. My kids enjoyed it, too! My boy asked who's egg was in the house, and if it hatched, I, uh...I didn't really know how to explain that to him.

Quazies, you somehow managed to break my heart and sew it back together again in the span of 13 minutes. That's somefantastic storytelling!
The scene with the eggshell sitting in the light of the forest was genuinely breathtaking, especially how you cast the light through the trees.
These videos have made me so genuinely happy, I can't express how much wonder and joy they've given me. As someone who is chronically depressed, these videos give me a genuine smile and something to look forward too. Thank you for all your hard work ❤

Love this so much I watched it several times with and without the funny narration. The emotional stare and despair Rodan showed looking at the empty shell hit hard. That relief of meeting his baby is done so masterful. Love the bgm and sfx. This is high quality movie materials. As a big Rodan fan, this might be one of my favorite portrayals if the character ever. He's so often treated as the butt if the joke that it's so nice to see his caring nature be more fleshed out.
It's always nice to see how both the animation and character designs change every video. And of course the Easter eggs (no pun intended), my favorite being hedorah watching House, it's so on point.
Gorosaurus is a mood and I love him for it. And Manda as the antagonist was quite a surprise.

I think it's a combination- I know in his first appearance, Rodan's mom and dad perished, and I seem to remember another version of Rodan having an egg that got destroyed. I could be misremembering that second part though

I wasn't expecting this video to be that emotional, I legitimately almost teared up in some parts, also Godzilla's name written in the clouds was a cool Easter egg
This animation about Rodan's preparation for his egg's hatching was very touching and I love the part where he tries to look back at his past of his family. Very emotional at the ending and I hope Rodan will do his best to take of his baby like a true father should, like the G-man, but better. >w< Speaking of which, that one scene where Rodan is hanging out with Godzilla Jr reminded me of the fact that he protected him as a surrogate brother in the heisei movie. A pretty good touching moment as I viewed the other few minor monsters' updated appearances. Great job as always, Quazies. :)

Mothra the Fluffly Queen. I love that you put pictures of her classic look. She was so adorable.
Things I love about this
1: The movements of each monster, especially Rodan in 1:26, 6.27, and 8:50. Also the Mothra larvae moving like a worm when running from the water at 2:33 when you could have just had them move their tiny lil legs and float across the ground.
2: How expressive each character is. Their emotions are absolutely out for everyone to see and it looks great in your style. Godzilla's facial animations at 4:35 and 12:29 and their really shine with their slightly higher frame count.
3. Pre-established points coming back such as how Manda loves easy prey and Rodan doing his happy beak clap at 12:13 (so freaking great)
4. World building. The intermission shows a copywrite for monster island at 1968, a year after the first movie monster island appeared in (Son of Godzilla) which either means copyright complications occurred or the deal Mothra made with Japan in 64 wasn't finalized until then (or I'm looking too far into it). Mothra is a very popular monster in the islands, and elections for monster representatives are held. We can see in the newspaper that King Caesar at least respects Mothra but doesn't fully agree with her way of doing things. Rodan was raised by Mothra (or at least *A* Mothra) after the death of his parents, the events of the showa and heisei era are somewhat connected, though obviously in a unique way (I have no idea how old Godzilla is), and thanks to the credits we know that the fight in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla 2 between Godzilla and Rodan did happen. The world feels alive and I can't wait to see more of it.
