That is the best version of the song I've ever heard live. Every member of the band is not only great, but has the energy of a 20 year-old. I can't believe how good they sound. Seeing them live just became a high priority.
I hope they get together again for another round. They kill it!!!! It amazes me that they're not more successful.

Fun Fact:In late 1993, Satriani joined Deep Purple as a temporary replacement for departed guitarist Ritchie Blackmore during the band's Japanese tour. He was awesome, but had just signed a contract with Sony, so Steve Morse took the slot.

Mr. Satriani does an awesome job with Ritchie Blackmore's lead. If you can find the original by Deep Purple, You can tell the homework has been done big-time.
Brent Woo I love him since G3 also he working with Vai but with the band I huge fan of Chickenfoot so much and for the song's by Joe I love the most "Crushing day".
I have many Guitar hero like Paul gilbert, Eric johnson, Michael angelo batio and many more, they affect me since I was a teenager.

This is one of the greatest performances of Highway Star I have ever seen, I have ever heard - and I have never seen having Mike so much fun on stage with "the band of the Dutchs" :-)

秋丸健一郎 Yeah it is...and he went to my high school. In fact Van Halen played in the quad at my high school Arcadia high school in 1977. I saw them in back yard parties back in the day. Here is an excerpt from our alumni presdient Greg Tober from January this year

I am all in on this project! You gotta love young people who consider us historic. YES, I am going to meet with their group, and I am honored that they contacted me. But where do I start? I guess I am going to try to explain how we went to Van Halen backyard parties and drank beer, until that little red helicopter hovered over us with a spotlight.Got to love it.....I used to buy pot from a good friend that lived to doors down fro Michael...Met him a few times !!!

Cool how Joey played Richie's solo faithfully note for note. The temptation would be to Satrianicize it with a lot of sweep picking and tapping but he took it on like a boss. You could tell the timing threw him off a little on the last couple stanzas ..just shows how awesome those guys really are!

great energetic performance from the guys. I like how Joe managed to do the solo close to the original while keeping his own style (no one can copy anyone exactly - fingers, heads work differently). He did it masterfully. And he did Jon Lord's organ part too - should pay him double

I suppose a lot of the viewers/commenting crowd may miss the undertone here... the band is "Chicken Foot." During the Vietnam War, those advocating Peace and using the Peace Sign had that symbol called (by the Hawks that supported and profited by the war) a "Chicken Foot." So, here we have four great musicians clearly being for Peace and rockin' on in unsurpassed ability... Chicken Foot. Not a bad thing to support to be sure.
