@Alex: Just a tip for peeling off paper or any protective foil from acrylic: Soak it in water! It will come off almost by itself after a minute. I got a ton of decade old acrylic for free where the plastic foil has fractured into thousand pieces. It was virtually impossible to peel all those tiny pieces off one after the other while not getting scratches on the Acrylic. But luckily the LDPE Foil soaks up water quite fast, as all plastics do. Not by much, but as you know, humidity can be a problem with 3d filaments as well as lead to warping of plastic sheets. I usually let them soak for 15minutes and then brush it off.
Don’t say that or they’ll do the same thing that they did last time when they had a 240V product. They took an adapter that goes from 240V with neutral to two 120V plugs and said : hey, now we got 240V. No Linus, you still got 120V. If you only take one phase with the neutral, it’s 120V... They were lucky that somehow that TV still worked on 120V... Please LTT ask Brian to make you a REAL 120V plug with 240V in it so you can test that kind of things.
@@cedricpomerleau5586 this is called transformer, they are common in Brazil because every city has a different voltage for final user (127V or 220V). Some places you have both, as where I live.
@@VitorFM Each city having a different Voltage sounds pretty bad. They are used in a lot of places, because the long-distance electrical grid is on a higher voltage then the end use one (20kV or up). Also things like microwaves have them inside, because they need a very high voltage to funktion. With the equipment they have, they could actually build one themselves, that transforms the correct way.
@@cedricpomerleau5586 you can combine combine two 120v plugs into a 240v plug as long as they are on seperate legs of the 240v supply thats enters the breaker box.....all north american households have 240v that is then split. thats why clothes dryer, furnaces, water heaters etc. are run on 240v. Im an electrician btw.
firecrow 797 Yeah I know that don’t worry, I’m an electrical engineer in Quebec. Hello from another province ! I’m not saying it’s impossible, I’m just saying they don’t know what they’re doing. The one time they showed us how "they got 240V", they just used a splitter that splits a 240V outlet to two 120V ones and then plugged the TV into one of those outlets. So they only got 120V out of that. (Those adapters are common with stuff like generators, you get a long cable that plugs in the 240V plug of the generator and two 120V plugs on the other end, each running on the two different phases. That requires a 240V plug with a neutral though.)
Agreed. I have one 120mm single fan variant cooling a XEON E5-1650V2 (6C/12T, OC to 4.3 Ghz) and another dual fan cooling an E5-2678V3 (12C/24T with all core TU to 3.3Ghz). These Air Coolers are excellent value and do a terrific job up to 160W TDP. However, I am only using the 120mm fan variants with 6 pipes. Not the cheap 90mm coolers that have used "SNOWMAN" name to confuse the buyer. Mine all came with mounting accessories for both INTEL and AMD. Also, the wiring was clean and well done, including the dual fan variant. Whatever Linus bought...not my experience as far as the wiring is concerned.

I'm still mad that they blamed the PSU for shutting off when it could've been the fact it requires 170-240 input voltage and they might have been using a 120v socket.
Thats a good point they probably didn't notice that since China runs 240v service compared to how most North America runs split phase 240v so their plugs in that room would only have 120v

Maybe
@@notmilkzanymore3025 9:27 the sticker says 170-240volts, while the Canadian standard is 120
so its a brown out
@@cream9292 Probably more to do with the 12 volt rail only having 32 amps on it. a 1000 watt psu should have around 83-85 amps on the 12 volt rail. So basically as soon as Linus did anything with the GPU and most likely the CPU as well under any load would trip the PSU causing it to fail to give the needed amps required by the system.
That 32 amps most likely means that psu actually can push at most 350 watts to 375 watts only.
