ALI EXPRESS IS A MEGA SCAM ! (Fake pics, no refunds, dishonest seller and non-helpful customer service ) Feel free to try them and you will come back with SAME conclusion ! Please do not spread misinformation
I have bought a lot of stuff on both Ebay and Aliexpress. Ebay has better support when i receive junk/defective products. Ebay is also faster in handling the dispute. I have multiple orders on AE that was defective, and i provided evidence, but they did not agree that it was defective. So i did not get my money back. You are not 100% safe on AE. Also the chat robot on AE is a joke.
Ditto. They were good at first, but I have lost the last few "not as described" disputes, or they wanted me to return the item to china, at several times what I paid for the item. The vast majority of sellers are honest, but a significant percentage are not. I will not order from them anymore. ebay may cost more, but they have always honored my returns, in the very few times I have had to do that.
@@kidsstuff7447 Nope, PayPal has you do the same thing: return to seller with no reimbursement for your shipping costs. T-shirts are notoriously bad quality from 99% of sellers and they want you to spend $50 to send a $12 shirt back to China. I'm actually about to close my PayPal account because this was the second time this has happened and I know they don't have the customers best interest in mind if with all the facts presented, they take Ali Express's side every time.
Hey Ive been buying with aliexpress and Id say 98 percent of the time Im delighted with my purchases. Ive bought Boots, makeup jewellery and even did my own designs and got them printed on a coat or jacket or hoodie and they came out amazing. I have had a few problems along the way but mostly got my money back. Once in a while they dont give your money back but its so cheap I dont mind. this is a great video thanks suzy

I bought a yuji itadori cosplay costume from AliExpress from like 2 weeks ago estimated delivery was like march 12 and it came 2 weeks after very good quality!
Aliexpress has stolen 366$ from me. I bought a phone then i have never received it and there is no refund. It has been 78 days without receiving any order nor a refund. Buyer protection on aliexpress is just placebo-made belief. Stay away from aliexpress, people and also stay away from those who endorse it.
I ordered from AliExpress it said the seller had. 2 years of owning the store and a bunch of reviews photo reviews, so I ordered my costume and another reason was because I seen it said 25 sold and 14 reviews, so I buy it all the info is good, so a couple days later I go to track the package it was delivered after like 1 week and a half I was like dang that was fast so I go outside to check, nun there I look again these mother fucking seller sent it to Manchester England in the fucking United Kingdom and the seller hasn’t responded and when I look at his page it’s like he deleted it or blocked me I can’t see anything sold on his store no more so weird I’ll keep u guys posted
Buyer protection is kind of fishy.... If you order two of something and only receive one of two items, you'll NOT have any compensation. It happened me! The tracked parcel contained the package with only one item. Since they see that the order has been delivered, you can't do anything!
And how exactly does someone do that if they didn't pay with paypal? It's pretty obnoxious to claim that what this person said is not true, the chances of them posting an honest comment are much higher than the chances of them lying.@@kickrocs
@kickrocs that's if you paid by PayPal..and that's a mu h longer cumbersome process. I wouldn't want to purchase from any platform that makes me go through my banks dispute just to get a refund when things go wrong
That's not true, i have ordered multiple sensors and only got one. I have received a refund for those that didn't arrive. Even after you receive the items you can apply for refund/return. I think you may not have looked into the site very well.
It depends on the store you buy from. I was refunded for 90% of the things that were defective or didn't arrive in guaranteed time. AliExpress is kinda fishy on if a store doesn't want to refund you though. If they see the parcel is in your country, they don't care about the fact you never got your item/items. But most of the stores/sellers are chill and will give you your money back if you don't get your item/items

One fact about aliexpress: discounts are BS. whenever there is a discount on literally ANY product, The shipping price is all of the sudden extremely high as if not to compensate for the discount. Even in general when there is no discounts, you will find some products which are suspiciously cheap, and only when you click on it you find the shipping fee skyrocket. It’s extremely annoying.
Not really to be fair. I think it matters on the product. Free shipping and a discount has happened on there towards some purchases I made. Look in the filters to change the prefrences and buy an item. You I feel probably bought an item that was towards what you wanted but it didn't have what you needed upon discount and shipping. That was your choice. So now the money you paid them upon your purchase is your fault cause you didn't read. Be smart, read carefully and buy if it suits how much you have to pay.
@@ThatGirl-tg7wd If you never bought anything from AliExpress. Then you haven't had many experience with them as a store. However doing some research upon what you want is important and to find recommendations. Read the description and reviews before making a purchase too. If you don't do these thing's first then yes you will probably be scammed however that is your fault for trusting those individual sellers. I have had my stuff shipped...no defects nor returns made so far. No issues. So I wouldn't say it is a 100% scam. Just gotta be cautious and intelligent on what you should make purchases on.

Ali express items go missing in the post mainly because the WRITING on the PACKAGES is so TINY, and easily rubs off. They should definitely make the writing larger. It seems EVERYTHING is a money saving thing- even down to the amount of INK on packaging!
I’ve bought a lot from AliExpress, I only buy from sellers that have their reviews with pictures, if I don’t like the pictures I don’t buy it, because that is exactly what you will receive
@Lilibeth -- > You are 100% WRONG ! Most sellers put fake or photoshopped pics - you will almost NEVER get what you see on pics ( unless you are buying something under $5 - probably that is what you normally buy) Every time I bought something - they scammed me - finally I had to go to my credit card to do "charge Back" to get my money back PLEASE DO NOT SPREAD MISINFORMATION (as someone may mistakenly believe you and will buy and get scammed)

Very good, very comprehensive video. I would disagree with the 100% safe statement. It may be very safe, but there are some issues. First of all, it takes sometimes 2 months for you to get your order in the states, due to the slow shipping speed, which isn't really a complaint for me by itself. But the problem is that sometimes the established time for returns has nearly or already elapsed by the time you get it. I had a problem with some missing pieces and, I tried to deal with the seller, who said he was mailing them to me right away, but those parts never showed up, and, while waiting for them, the time for me to report him or give him a negative review had elapsed, nor could I just request a refund because we were 4 months out by that point. I had to buy the parts to finish the item on my own.
Awesome video!! Very good presenter! I got into hobby electronics and decided to give aliexpress a try as they offered the lowest cost on the myriad of resistors, diodes, capacitors, etc that I would need. I also order from the $1.99 sales on a weekly basis so I always have 2 or 3 orders being shipped at any given time. So far everything has exceeded my expectations.
I have been using AE for several years now. Its a mixed bag. I recommend communicating with the seller before purchase - ask questions and clarify what the product is. Bad sellers will either not respond or not provide full info. The good sellers on the other hand usually respond quickly and provide full info. I can spot a good seller right away. There are many good deals - you need to know how to find them and how to spot poor / junky products to stay away from.
That's actually a pretty good advice. I also noticed that whenever I had to write to someone and they responded fast and with all the info, they were good and their item was good if it arrived. If not, they'd refund with 0 questions asked. Those who refuse to answer anything, won't refund when their item never arrives or is defective/not what was described

I live in PA USA, and I have been buying from Ali for years and have never had a problem that wasn't fixed. I get packages from them every week. My shipping time varies from 2 weeks to 4 weeks unless it is shipped from the USA.
Their customer service is bascially non-existent. There is no phone number. Their "buyer protection" doesn't always protect you. I received an item that was not even close to the pictures described. However, my refund was denied. There is definitely a huge risk, as opposed to the more well known online retailers that have been around for a long time. I basically got sammed and I have no recourse except credit card dispute.
yeah just go to bank get a chargeback is best way getting your money back, I did this cause I have no faith in Aliexpress to refund me for large amount of money I lost to a scammer on there... they were trying to pull a fast one on me and trying to get me to tell my bank to stop the Chargeback, ummm yeah Hell to the No! and they were just trying to make themselves look good by banning the Scammer, but they froze my order and just were giving me the run around, Paypal also sided with them cause I couldnt show credit due for Refund but I appealed it after they closed it and showing Paypal how Aliexpress giving me run around but I doubt this will go my way and sometimes wonder if Paypal even look at Screenshots. Scumbag Chinese clown Company Aliexpress are though... Its also important to show your bank screenshots if there is no communication from seller on Aliexpress and also show nothing has been sent, Most Banks will have your back in situations like these when you go to the fraud sector of a Bank.

Ali is terrible - no customer support. False information is common. Do not even bother with them. The information I received from a seller would be handy for someone looking for an example of a terrible business. 😂
Ive bought from AliExpress for years. I'm pretty satisfied with the purchases. I buy 9999 silver jewelry, cotton clothing, accessories, and hats. I don't buy electronics, nails, creams, perfumes, or any of those items. To test if ur silver jewelry is real, silver should not be magnetic. If it's magnetic, it's not silver. ✨
Delivery time to France has improved considerably over the last 3 years. There is a marked difference now and invqriably small items are well packed and I have has little or no quality problems
THe hustle with AliExpress is that most products seem good upfront, but in a couple months deteriorate quite rapidly. By then, it might even be too late to submit a review. I really get tired of people saying, "Looks great, but I haven't tried it yet." Useful idiots say things like that.
So many rubbish comments here. I have bought everything from motorcycle brake calipers, discs, handle bars, Guitar effects pedals, I've been playing guitar for over 40 years and know my sh1t, tools to clothing and full grain leather boots. 100's of items over nearly 14 years. EVERYTHING i've bought is still working as planned, I'm amazed at the quality of the leather boots, they are proper full grain leather {the best grade of leather}, motorcycle boots and if I ever wear them out, I'll buy another pair. If you know what you're buying, there is a ton of high quality stuff to be had. ps, I can tell, buy looking at the parts I buy, the quality, because I know what i'm looking at, I've been building cars and bikes for a very long time, I could easily say what you quoted with confidence, sometimes the "useful 1d1ots" are the ones making uninformed comments....
I don't use aliexpress any more, why? 1) slow shipping, it took 1-2 months to get what you bought 2) I have received fake seeds and bad quality products, there is no customer service that allows you to return the stuff you bought, no communication with seller. 3) There is medicine I ordered from them last Oct ,2022 and I haven't received it yet , now it is July 1st 2023. I tried to complain to their customer service, but no feedback. Too bad!

As others have pointed out, using aliexpress isn't the safest option & I would recommend avoiding large cost purchases if possible. If you are going to buy something expensive I would recommend creating a burner account & use a CC or something with the ability to chargeback far into the future. Aliexpress will ban your account if you do a chargeback, but they almost always side w/ the seller in large cost disputes.

Been buying from Aliexpress for about 3 years - and in that time, there’s only been one time I had to open a dispute - over an 8” android tablet. It was supposed to be a ‘top-end’ tablet but what was shipped barely qualified as a ‘bottom-end’ device that you’d find by the tills at the local supermarket. That was resolved fully within 10 days - and the rest of the products have all been fine - exactly what I ordered - even all the other electronic devices!

I bought alot of stuff including a battery on March 8 I received everything the same month except the battery. The whole time I wasn't able to track the battery then I contacted the seller he gave me a whole different tracking number different from the one on alixpress and a different websites since that day(march 27) till this moment it's only being showing the same thing (arrived at facility) I've reported and complained several time I got frustrated. The seller told me I won't be able to tell it's gotten to my post office and I won't receive any email or call I just have to go to the post office to make inquiry. Long story short it's been almost 2 months I just left the post office 30 ago still nothing. I guess I got scammed
I have ordered craft supplies like stamps and metal dies and been very happy. I received 1 stamp set with a few things spelled incorrectly but that was my mistake because the photo was correctly showing the misspelled words and I didn’t catch it. I now pay more attention. If I contacted the seller they probably would have refunded me given the order size but it was only a few dollars and I could still use some of them. A few dies haven’t cut perfectly or had a little imperfection but again the cost of the item was negligible so I didn’t worry about it. I’ve also ordered croc jibbitz and been extremely happy with them. Other items such as cheap necklaces and earrings for my teen daughter who loses them easily, sleep masks, small appliance cord keepers etc have all been great purchases. I would not buy anything I needed to last very long or wanted a quality product. Shipping to WA is generally 2-3 weeks with my longest being 6 but that was an anomaly. I definitely recommend trying them. Order 1-2 things with free shipping and see what you think. Then order more if it works out.

Buyer protection is rubbish when they don't actually ship it, or send something else that is lost along the way and the refund button doesn't even work. They side with the fake vendor who then in turn close down their advertisement page as they already got their $200 or whatever for a product that never existed. Beware. @@MickH60 Relax champ. Making assumptions not knowing a person, that's rich. You'd be surprised to know I've been using Alibaba/AliExpress since 2011 and started a side business via Alibaba. I advocate the service and have had refunds and what not for small items. There has been a couple of occasions where as a buyer I got stooges for products that did not meet description with screen shots but still copped out of pocket expenses. The last significant thing I bought was a $200 tablet, that DID NOT GET SENT with tracking showing enroute for months, that was provided by the seller themselves, however Ali did not have a bar of the evidence that the seller provided themselves, I tried their various escalations and appeals to no avail, and i tried seeking a resolution with PayPal who I thought would be more reasonable with buyer protection. Ultimately stooged. This demonstrated without a doubt that one, you'll deal with bots, two, incompetence when it matters. Jurt because you've had an unblemished record of experience doesn't mean others don't. When you face the same challenges, you'll quickly learn you live in a mindset bubble.
@@MickH60 Listen champ. If you don't know someone, don't make assumptions. I've used Ali since 2011. Ran a business off Alibaba itself as a wholesaler since that time. The recent purchase never arrived according to the sellers tracking THEY provided, which was used as evidence and despite passing through the Ali bots to a mediator, the seller still won out despite their OWN evidence the product never shipped. I referred to the shipping service who said it was highly suspect. I even engaged PayPal for mediation and got knocked back. Despite the evidence. Not everyone has your better experience but this doesn't discount someone else's horrible one. I use Temu now more so, and I drive a Chinese car and support their industry and innovations. Stop talking out ya behind. When you run into trouble that is significant also, maybe you'll be stranded too in your navigation if a convoluted process with no recourse and then realised, oh maybe it's not always sunshine and rainbows.
@@lucamills3034 Lesson learned. I only buy cheap stuff that are reasonably priced because in the end, it's still cheaper than eBay and Amazon with the thought process of, if I don't get this product, then my loss is minimal and acceptable. Burned from Ali a few times but they were acceptable losses but this was an incredible joke consideri g the sellers evidence demonstrates that they DID NOT DELIVER the product according to their tracking and delivery service and yet Ali sided with them in the dispute resolution. I'm cheap, what can I say
Excellent summary. I started buying watch parts from AliE this year and it has been all good. China makes decent watch repair tools, watches and parts. They often use Seiko movements. I just ordered a set of new faders for my dj mixer. When I asked of he had more he told me “sorry no” but I still got a track n trace number and a package is on the way 😅
Their customer service flip flops and send you in circles. I ordered two TECH reels for my tape deck. The tracking was poor and unclear. It took over 4 weeks for it to arrive. 😢The package was reported delivered and I never received it. The merchandise cost over $50.00. I wasn’t reimbursed for the loss shipment after the claim was filed. They kept running me in circles until they said the time was up to file a claim. The shipping department is very shady..
Small addition, for the buyer protection, you can make request to extend the time frame and at least in my experience, the seller will agree to extend it(if there is a valid reason)
Funny thing about ae is that when ur product doesn't arrive they ask for proof for the refund, like what proof am i going to give u if the products not there lmao
I'm a new purchaser from this Ali so very grateful for his video, For me i'm happy to buy small items such as components screws etc but if I need a Rolex I'll get it elsewhere! I'll happily buy from them unless/until dissatisfied then I'll black list them and buy elsewhere.
Seems I can’t order with AliExpress when I bought something the shop I ordered from the seller sends me an iban which is not safe they want u to buy outside of the rules which is a violation and u have no come back if u do it that way
Something I never saw on Alie, but lately are. Is those very, very cheap product that used to be way expensive. As an example a small arc welding machine, which I used to pay around 80$ and now its 4$??,? And I look down the page to be sure that it wasn't just an accessory that was to be sale. But no! Seems to be the complete thing!!! What can you say a out it? Thanks in advance.
The sellers are scamming people more & more nowadays. They often send messages saying they want more for shipping than advertised & if you say you don't want to they often tell you to cancel the order and when you do that you will not be able to get a refund. Also there is no refund button where the instructions on aliexpress say for you to go to process refunds. Yes I have received some orders and some suppliers are genuine, but there is also a lot of scammers that know how to work around aliexpress. Also the dispute process strongly favours the supplier, your video is promoting aliexpress when the actual experience is getting scammed. you should consider doing a new review after watching others that have been scammed on aliexpress. My experiences have been 50% success.
I bought a phone for 366.63$ and i have never received any phone nor a refund. Now, it has been 102 days without the phone nor a refund. Stay away from Aliexpress because they rob people online. Not to mention, products on Aliexpress are quite expensive.
I was sent wrong tanks for a roborock. Cost $82 au I sent them back. Refund page had all options except change of mind grayed out . I contacted PayPal supplied photos post label etc. Aliexpress contacted me apologised. And promised refund. Then they deleted my account!! And even though I had invoice etc they would not help. So I just deleted aliexpress from my life and moved on Caveat Emtor!!
It has been 125 days with no refund nor the package. I lost 366.63$. Aliexpress doesn't refund at all. There is actually no buyer protection on Aliexpress. Buyer protection on Aliexpress is just placebo-fabricated belief. Don't use Aliexpress.
I have been buying from Aliexpress for a while, with no issues until March 2023. I ordered, and I still have not received my items, and it is now July 2023. The items were shipped and arrived in my town, but then my items were sent from the post office to a third party here on my town, and it's just sitting there. I tried calling the third party multiple times with no answer. I have not ordered from them again because I don't want my items shipped to a third party again. I would have rather picked up my items from the post office myself. It's rediculous!
yeah no.. No full refund or any refund at all.. They always want you to ship it back, and most of the time shipping it back will cost 10 times the original price and some products(especially lithium) aren't even allowed to ship to China. Right now I have a problem with a defective device.. That cost about 70 USD.. I opened a dispute and aliexpress says to return the item for full refund, if I don't the refund is zero USD. I've contacted the local shipping company and the shipping is around 100USD but because the item has a lithium battery in it It is not allowed to ship to China from my country (outside US). So I just lost 70USD. I don't have a credit card, in my country almost nobody has a creditcard. So I paid by bank(In Europe we have iDeal) as I always do. Aliexpress is a "company" that backups the shops 100% and they don't care about costumers at all. They allow scammers and liars, even if you proof they scammed you Aliexpress doesn't care and will always end the dispute in favour of the seller. I'm not a "newbee" on Aliexpress, I've been ordering for more than 5 years and have bought for 10,000s of dollars from Aliexpress. The bad reputation is legit, they are bad...
I got an aluminum no name magnetic car phone holder for a dollar that was by far the best phone holder I have ever had from Aliexpress. It has a strong magnet and it actually looks nice in my car. I bought it on a whim and was thoroughly surprised.
@@blazorb5907 Yes, different items are ordered separately as they are all sold by Different sellers, they don't deliver 1 box with all the items in it. If you order them separately at the same time, they should all arrive around the same time.
today received an email for an item I ordered Nov 20,2023 (96 days ago ...). They claim "confirmed delivery". But I never received anything. Also another item I never received. So that was it for me, never again.
@@xXVibrantSnowXx no they really claim the item was delivered. When I log onto Aliexpress I can see that. But that is the only item that this happend. All others I received. So 90% I received. So since I always buy small items that I can not find here locally it is not a big issue
Buyers protection 🤔 I've purchased a tool and received a cheap sponge. AliExpress closed my dispute in favour to seller as I received goods. Total BS as I didn't order a piece of sponge. When you receive goods that you have ordered it's ok however now this has happened to me twice within 10 purchase. eBay is way safer

If a delivery company looses your package in the delivery country your getting nothing back, Ali saying it's not ther fold that's disapiert and you have money lost, this happens a couple times to me. And if you make a claim about a broken or not working item or a wrong send item, they take the sellers side and you getting nothing back. And back to the lost package, you getting no information from you country's shipping company for the aliexpress claim, they saying than you lie and they activate on ther alivside auto matic thst you received the item or anyway after a couple days. So your claim that Ali is safe and you getting your money back is a lie.
This has to have been the most comprehensive explanation of how AliExpress. Thank you and by the way, I love the name of your channel 👍🏿 that rocks bro.
When it comes to buying things of Chinese website I have set my self ONE rule I stick by, I don't buy anything that plugs in to the mains electric, don't matter what it is. Not only from Ali Express but ALL Chinese websites such as Banggood, Wish, Joom and any others. My reason is that I don't trust things to be safe enough, some years back a couple had ordered some Christmas lights from China and put them in their Christmas tree and they ended up burning their living room out. I am sure that with some research I'd find many more stories like it.

Here is a breakdown on AliExpress, in short no it is not safe but that is relative. Most sellers are honest but a good percentage of them are not. And that wouldn't be so bad if the site made any effort to clean up their act, but they do not. They actually assist these dishonest sellers with their unfair actions and policies. For example as this video states they have a policy that says "if you get sent the wrong item or your order doesn't arrive you will get a full refund", but what they don't tell you is most of the time they will ask you to send it back first. Now being China has subsidized shipping and every other country does not, it will almost always cost you more to send it back than it cost you to buy it in the first place. This will essentially enable the seller to rip you off because no one is stupid enough to send something back when sending it back costs more than the order did. I was scammed 3 times recently (in the last month) this way, with two products that were not what they advertised in the ad and one that arrived broken. One item cost me just over $4 and was going to cost me over $11 to send it back, the second item cost me just over $5 and was going to cost me over $14 to send it back, the third item cost me $16 and it was going to cost me well over $20 to send it back. So I ended up eating the loss on all 3 items. While it was in the dispute stage I went on their chat everyday to complain that this was a scam and it was a scam the site itself sets up. They did nothing at all. They are well aware of it and still do nothing about it, which tells me it is intentional fraud and not some kind of a innocent loophole the sellers found a way to exploit. The site makes enough money with their shady policies in place that they have no intention of clearing up their act, eventually the word will get out and they will have to adjust or go out of business but for now they know they don't have to do anything but rake in the dollars. So first don't believe anything the site claims, because they lie and mislead to assist the scammers. And don't trust the sellers at all, most are honest but the many scammers on the site offset the savings gained from shopping with the honest sellers. The bad sellers will intentionally send you the wrong or broken items knowing you won't send them back and you will eat the loss. Again, this would be more tolerable if the site made any effort to get rid of these types of sellers or regulate them to clean up their business, but they do not, they actually do everything they can to help the scammers so the scammers know they can operate with impunity. If you stay in contact with the seller through the dispute phase they will actually laugh at you while you try to scramble to find justice. They know their scams are secured by the site itself and that they have nothing to fear. Sure the site will say they are trying to rid themselves of these sellers but they actually do nothing, it is just empty words to pacify the stupid people who will believe them. That is the most frustrating part for me being a westerner, our society makes an effort to get rid of the thieves but China actually supports them, which is evident with their systemic intellectual property theft. Yet again I would like to be able to say this is all on those dishonest sellers but it is not, this is almost entirely on the site itself because they set up this scam and enforce it with their shady policies. I would say that if you are causally shopping and not flipping, statistically overall it works out to be about the same cost as buying on amazon, in that what you will save with the orders from honest sellers on AliExpress will be offset by the scams. But here is the thing you need to consider about shopping on AliExpress, if you need an item right away, there is a good chance you won't get it at all or it won't be what you ordered, and the frustration just isn't worth it. You might end up breaking even compared to shopping on amazon in money terms but not in time terms. If you do enough shopping on both sites you will see the same items being sold on Amazon as are being sold on AliExpress and this is because many of the sellers on Amazon buy from AliExpress then jack up the prices. My guess is they figure the losses they take can be more than made up for with the much higher prices they sell the same stuff for on Amazon. Plus they only have to take the loss a couple of times (maybe) until they find an honest seller of the products they want to flip. Because they sell the same stuff over and over again they know who they can trust in a very short period of time and their losses are minimal compared to their gains. You won't be in that situation if you are only buying one time or occasionally and that puts you at risk. So essentially you are going to pay more on amazon for the same product but you won't have to endure the looses you would have faced on AliExpress to get those products. You are essentially paying a scammer either way though, either you pay the scammers who sell cheap Chinese crap on amazon for far higher prices than it sells for on AliExpress or you run the gauntlet of scammers on AliExpress to try and find the honest sellers that are cheaper. My estimate is it is about even, or maybe slightly in favour of AliExpress once you know all the scams. But for a one time purchase when you need the item within a certain time frame I would go with Amazon, the extra you pay is for the comfort of knowing you will get it and it will be as described.
I have bought a phone + shipment lately for 365$ in total. The seller did not tell me that i had to pay for tariffs or i rather say tax. (Considering, this doesnt make any sense). I thought that tax was a part of order payment. The package arrived after getting told (by phone) that it was located and held at customs. (Airport) I have got told if i want the package, i have to pay for 50$ shipment (REALLY) and 100$ tariff. Wait a minute. I have already paid for shipment that costs 45$, why do i have to pay for another one? What about this thing being called tarrif? He did not inform me about that at all. When i asked if i received my package, would i pay for something else (such as another tax or tariff, yes or no? He did not give straight answer, rather than vague comments continuously.
I have been buying from Ali Express for years and never had any problems, the majority of items I have bought I have seen western YT reviews of prior to ordering though. Most of the items are related to 3D printing and are machined parts that are CNC milled and so the quality is good and repeatable. I could purchase the same products from places like Amazon but they are the exact same open source product just three times more expensive. During the Raspberry Pi shortages a few years ago, I bought Orange Pi equivalent boards in bulk from the manufacturer and even flashed them with the choice of an operating system and sold them on Amazon and eBay, I made the customer know that it was me that was flashing the official operating systems though, I never had any issues whatsoever and I sold over a thousand on each platform!
I have only had a problem with them once or twice in many years. They just keep getting better. I use them constantly. I just picked up two Samsung Galaxy S20 5G Mini PC's with metal cases, fans and large heat sinks. I love the things and I could even get a chip from Mint Mobile for them and take them wherever and have internet. Pretty cool.
I’ve been ordering heat transfers from AliExpress for my short business and for me it only take 10-15 days to get here in California. That’s not bad at all.
I recently had to pay 10.80 shipping on something that had free shipping. What do you do? Send it back and risk getting ripped off on refund. I just paid it. I have ordered many times and this was a first.

They are my principal supplier for basic parts (small electronic repair) for almost as decade, so far nothing to worry about. Delivery time from mainland China improved from more than a month to around 10 days, and many big sellers now have local warehouses in my country, cutting delivery time to 1-2-3 days. Yes, they sell a lot of not just fake, but utterly unworkable and unsafe parts, i.e. a 2-cent BD140 transistor developing collector breakdown at under 50V (must be >80V). Don't even ask me what die is inside and what current it can hold, it's junk. But it was 2 cents a piece, which from the very start said it's not legit; the real deal starts at around 20 cents for bulk orders. It does not take long to figure out reliable suppliers and to rule out certified fakes. Just accept the fact that in some product categories almost everything on the market is fake. And some of these fakes are as good as the real deal, but knowledge only comes with experience and some expense. I don't care if the Takamisawa RY relays sold on Ali are real or fake, they work flawlessly and superior to genuine Hongfas (albeit costing twice as much).

I buy electronic components for hobby purposes. It helps to know something about what you're buying. For example, I've seen listings for large quantities of "new" 1N34A diodes for 5 to 10 cents per diode. Those diodes have been out of production for years. New old stock 1N34A diodes cost $1.50 or more for a single diode. I don't buy anything unless I'm willing to lose my money on it. Also, I play guitar and have shopped for strings on AliExpress. There are numerous strings allegedly from well-known American companies for a third of the price. A string that's made in America is going to cost less if bought from China.

I am trying to understand the procedure as the help and current interface do not match at all. When opening a dispute and asking for reimbursement, the system suggests a lower amount. About 3/4 of the paid value. Why is that so?

Please if you respect your time and money do not order from AliExpress it is not worth your nerves and your precious time, now they are not respecting their customers anymore. I am not buying anymore from them. Because it is a filthy business without any concern about our customer rights.

FOR REAL I had a 50 dollar budget on something, and I found something perfect for what I was looking for. boom. 70 dollar shipping.
Sometimes that works to your advantage if you need many of something.
Same with Ebay alway edit the P&P into the gross cost of the product.

I’ve bought a lot from AliExpress, I only buy from sellers that have their reviews with pictures, if I don’t like the pictures I don’t buy it, because that is exactly what you will receive
hello....pictures of goods or people working there?
sometime pics are fake
@Lilibeth -- >
You are 100% WRONG !
Most sellers put fake or photoshopped pics - you will almost NEVER get what you see on pics
( unless you are buying something under $5 - probably that is what you normally buy)
Every time I bought something - they scammed me - finally I had to go to my credit card to do "charge Back" to get my money back
PLEASE DO NOT SPREAD MISINFORMATION

But I have ordered toys and other stuff too. Sometimes I do find better prices on ebay. This vid provides great info that I did not know.

Thanks for this honest review. Too many RUclipsrs just create bandwagon content, but still do what they advise against behind the scenes.
Makes sense. Killing the competition one way or another hahaha

So this video is superfluous and waste of time.
I can second that. I buy all sorts of hobby electronics parts and 98% of the time no problem whatsoever.

You look untrustworthy
Aliexpress has very bad reputation.
Some people are scammers and yes you might not receive the actual thing or you recieve nothing and customer service cannot do much if you buy from them. Be careful upon who you trust and this goes towards any app. It ain't just for AliExpress, many other apps too.

I haven't received one item I ordered on Ali Express. It says delivered but I haven't received anything and it is very difficult to do a dispute.
Thanks, was weary but using your tips I ordered my first home! Will be here in 8-12 months ( opted for cheapest shipping)

I now frequent Temu more, as they're ability to have product on shore warehouses with an incredibly cheaper price is much better, also whilst abroad I use Lazada. Works great.
Items arrive in about a week. I ordered one item that wasn't what I needed and kept it. It's usually not worth it to do a return. You must know exactly what you need. Same here. Ali express has been good to me so far. Usually it takes like 10-15 days for my items to get delivered.
What was the positive feedback of the seller?

I tried calling the third party multiple times with no answer. I have not ordered from them again because I don't want my items shipped to a third party again. I would have rather picked up my items from the post office myself. It's rediculous!
I always have had a very good experince when buying from there, idk what these comments are about😭

Ali express shipping is unstable and risky..

(Airport)
I have got told if i want the package, i have to pay for 50$ shipment (REALLY) and 100$ tariff.
Wait a minute.
I have already paid for shipment that costs 45$, why do i have to pay for another one?
What about this thing being called tarrif?

When i asked if i received my package, would i pay for something else (such as another tax or tariff, yes or no?
