blame De neglect in older frames for that
@@TehCheeezyPoofz For Limbo it's not even just neglect. It's like with every update they just give him another kick in the head. Hard for him to be good when an increasing number of enemies just ignore him. Loki though that is defiantly just neglect. Except decoy. Decoy was never good.
As someone who comes back to Warframe seemingly once a year - exactly a year apart, this yearly update to the tiers keeps me abreast to what the current meta is. You are doing a mighty service, my friend.
He is sadly... Wrong
@@vycronvandarkin7639 what part?
You better play Grendel man, dude is so fun
"abreast" use a better word what a stupid word
@@akapot most of it 💀💀
The more insulting part of Yareli is that she's even depicted as weak in the lore. Most other warframes have stories where they faced off against some big threat and handled it like a boss (Atlas punching a world ending meteor into literal dust, Ivara killing some giant monster, Gara fighting some giant Eidolon of which the Eidolons we fight are just fragments of, even Grendel made some wealthy baron crap his pants before eating him), but Yareli's lore has her fighting some random fat guy who was only equipped for keeping slaves in line and not only was Yareli's strategy to run away, but she even got caught and the story concludes with her being saved by children (not even Tenno children)...
Sounds like they wrote her lore like a Mahou shoujo Manga, but didn't add the part where she does her magical transformation and kicks ass. That's kinda sad really
I still laugh when I remember DE kept referring to her as “powerful” in all the streams leading up to release.
Don’t forget that they oversold her talking about how powerful she is. She’s pretty fun to play but she’s not viable in any gametype aside from some low level open world. They made her sound like she would be god tier and she’s just not. Plain and simple.
nah bro she literally lost to a redditor im done 💀😭
I genuinely don't get the hate for the kdrive. I have barely any problems with it and the only tileset it sucks on is infested derelict, but that tileset is just a nightmare anyways.
I really think DE needs to break a team off to just address issues with the weaker warframes. I want Caliban to be good and it’s sad that he’s just not. Older frames suffer from warframes evolution but these newer crap frames have no excuse. If we can see it then DE definitely can.
I whole heartedly agree, Especially when so many frames just need numbers buffs and not rework levels of attention
@@kevinkusman9137 I expect those that don't have prime variants yet to be looked at as soon as that comes up at the latest.
@Turjan_Miir The Primes for the next 2 years are stellar, the only Warframe that needs anything is Lavos and he would be 2024.
As long as DE wont stop handicapping their frames because "aUtOmAtIoN," abilities like Rumblers and frames like Caliban are always going to struggle.
This isn't a problem of staff, it's a problem of DE having weird ideological dogma.
I just had this conversation with another player earlier. It’s unacceptable to have a defense frame like Gara and then Frost is just.. worse than her in every way.
We have Hydroid who can’t even hold a candle to Khora.
Oberon and Trinity who aren’t objectively bad in my opinion, but there’s no reason to play them over Wisp.
All these frames desperately need to be reworked because I would love to play Oberon or Hydroid. But there’s no incentive to play them :(
Oh and if you don’t have Gara or Khora, no problem, they’re much cheaper in the trade market than Hydroid or Frost. Literally no reason to play them unless you need them for mastery fodder.
I fear the day these kinds of videos goes over three hours. Not because of the length, but for how much work is done to provide a quick summary of every warframe and to discuss their strengths and weaknesses. Thank you as always for all your hard work.
I'd like to point out that Gauss can still absolutely nuke in Steel path with thermal sunder's damage scaling off status duration (including from its own casts), letting you deal very large armour stripping nukes, especially with archon vitality.
Archon Vitality is a godsend (voidsend?) mod. Protea, Ember, and Gauss get so much Value from it. The mod could just say "double fire procs" or "double fire damage" without the Vitality part and it would still be super good.
@@thatguyintherain3168 well protea and gauss basically gain nothing from the health part anyway
What an incredible effort, we thank you sir. I have found myself aligning to what you mention in game play and usage of Warframes so much, where *fiddly* is not my style, and have a great time is. Thank you for putting this mammoth list together, for your thoughts on the Warframes, and for giving some very good inputs to DE, to help priorates where work is needed to get some of our older Warframes into a place where they are fun and useful again, because of their flavor. Well done!
There are numerous boss fights were Rhino's stomp extends the damage window for himself and his team. It's not totally without its application. That said, his overall rating of B+ is pretty fair, considering the changes that Helminth brought about.
Fair point but when was the last time you fought one of the bosses? I literally can't remember my last boss fight that's how long it's been
Honestly the amount of augment mods that should just be part of him by default is kinda what hurts him
@@marlonese Farmed Ropalyst a while ago and it's a shame we don't farm bosses all too often.
@@marlonese Acolytes are affected by his stomp. For a newer player especially, the added CC from that can offer significant value, especially if they are still in the process of farming up SP arcanes and galvanized mods.
Always look forward to Brozime's yearly tier lists. He's much more objective than most youtubers when it comes to this stuff..
Thank you! I try very hard to squash my frame biases for the review scores!
@Brozime That's why I rank you so much higher than others. Glad you're over Covid and feeling better brother!
WF tubers are pretty dense. Doesn't take much for Zime to outshine them. That being said Brozime is fantastic and honest. Refreshing for this game and the content for it
So objective if you wanna call it that lol. He put mag in b tier and nekros in a tier. I just typed this in region in game and a bunch of ppl called him dumb or trolling for it.
I'm not sure if region chat should be your benchmark for how your evaluate warframes anyways. Even then, objective value doesn't necessarily mean it's always accurate to what you value in a warframe. Objective just means it's based on already agreed upon standards. He clarified those standard in another video, and I feel they more then justify why nekros would be higher up then mag.
As a Zephyr main since day one of her release, I have never been happier. She went from being one of the most niche frames in the game to being one of the absolute best.
Justice for Zephyr. A lot of people are talking about Grendel, but I have long viewed the slow rise of Zephyr through incremental changes starting back in 2018 to where she is today, to be the single greatest rework success story in the game's history - that very few people have any idea happened.
I still remember the big event when they added oxium ospreys, farming those wayyyyy beyond the event requirement of like... 100, to a MASSIVE 250 (since the ospreys only dropped 1 and rarely 2 oxium back then) and thinking "Yes, I'm ready for Zephyr! I'm so excited for this bird frame!".... and then she needed 500...
Jet Fighter still a favorite by far.
@@Sojo214 man it took so long to farm her and she was so meh it almost felt like an insult
@@Necrophz That was back in the day of Frost being one of the best frames, so Zephyr made for a pretty decent alternative, as Turbulence hasn't really changed much beyond a super early fix to it having holes.
She's definitely come a LONG way, but she at least had somewhat of a niche even back then as the preeminent roaming defender.
@MirageRebellion also buggy she was and he projectile barrier scaled horribly with range and caused projectiles to pass through. As a returning player it feels good to see older warframes holding up and even seeing ember being used again
Every time one of these releases it's an instant watch. Loved it as always. Great work!
LETS GO BOUTTA BE THE BEST 2 HOURS OF THE WEEK
Even without the Nekros augment, Shadows have high health and low damage, and very high Threat. This means that as long as you're near them, odds are enemies will shoot them instead of you, effectively raising your Evasion while you're playing around them.
Fair argument, and with archon shards the casting speed isn't terrible. It's just that outside of Terrify and Desecrate, he doesn't do a whole lot.
Like to add a note for nyx -- Choas effectively works on Eximus with their oversheild still up, not because it affects them, but because they will target all the now turned normal enemies.
Not a massive deal - but something worth a note since the eximus rework. Most likely counted within her rating, but not mentioned.
----------------
PS closer to my opinion on the teir list than any of your previous ones. It is of course always a little subjective.
Love these videos, not only for ranking but mostly because I get inspiration for new builds and brush dust of some frames.
Good afternoon. Thank you for videos and information with helping the Tenno. Keep up the good work. Take care and GOD bless you and your family.
I really like how you have a white paper on exactly how you grade warframes and attempt to keep everything as objective as possible. Overall I agree with the ratings here, I just wish some frames were made better by DE.
I missed part of the premiere, but what I caught of it, I saw a lot of Johnnys in chat defending Lavos. 🤣
I missed the stream so I'm watching it now. If he put lavos below a B+ I'm going to be mad.
@@grottymink7784 he got a C
Lavos is a decent frame held back by a poorly conceived gimmick of ability cooldowns.
@@frenchfriedbagel7035 Lavos barely has cooldowns if you're using him well. It's like, yeah it's a restriction, but so is needing to spend slots on energy management.
@@yeoldpubman energy is significantly less restrictive than the cooldowns.
I haven't played warframe in years and I still tune in for your tierlists. A+ Videos! :D
Anyone complaining about Gyre getting a C rating, this vid is from before the Rotorswell Augment came out.
Seeing Nyx in B melts my heart. Huh, maybe it's time to comeback to Warframe after all. Thank you for your work, Brozime.
I came back, I hate it. I love it. I am an abused husbando to warframe. My favorite weapons will get nerfed soon. (Dead eyes)
Nyx has several relevant game modes where she shines now that previously didn't exist, so her niche has expanded. Psychic Bolts is one of the best defense-stripping abilities in the game, and with the addition of Archon Shards, she can hit sufficient Ability Strength without any mods, freeing up more space.
Between new game modes that she can do quite well and Helminth and Archon Shards giving additional flexibility, Nyx is in a pretty good spot overall now.
Nyx has been low-key top-tier for a while now. B+ or A- kit if built right.
I think he made the common mistake of overlooking the fact that her 1 basically makes Chaos a guarantee no one will hit you or the objective unless you forget to refresh them. They hit the closest enemy & 1 (an invulnerable target) always stays closest to you. All you have to do is kill the enemies that threaten to get between you and 1 (which is barely 1 or 2) and you basically can't die. Eximus with Overguard are also caught up in the ''chaos''. People who instantly subsume 1 away never discover that synergy I think.
4 is what I always subsume because so many other panic buttons exist.
If nothing else, she's the singular queen of mobile defense, especially in Steel Path, and as such, a staple for both new & old players imo.
So, I’ve came back, made full umbra build for her, slotted 5 armour archon shards, subsumed gloom. I’m actually having fun playing her now, rather than playing her as a challenge and because I like her cosmetics. I deal damage mostly by guns, occasionally by melee, stripping armour when needed. And she hardly ever dies using such setup, and even then I’ve a padding of using the Unairu revival. So I’d totally recommend playing her now. It’s wholesome to see how the meta shifted this year, seeing old guns suddenly are viable again.
Don't play the game anymore, however I still watch these reviews. It can be a fun watch comparing old memories and the current states of warframes. Thanks a bunch.
Incredible video with lots of information. I look forward to these every year
Thank you for timestamps!!! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this
Thank you so much for your hard work and the unbiased nature of the tier list, I look forward to them every year. And I know that it is already two and a half hours long (by next year you may have to split them into groups) but you may want to cover the passives of each frame as well. Many people overlook a lot of frames because they don't see how a passive can change the play style of that frame. It would also help point out which passives are useless or detract from the frames (looking at you Oberon).
I haven't played WF in like 2-3 years but I never miss these. Thanks for another great year! 👍
same bro. Just recently got back in WF, now I am challenged to collect newer frames
@@TSUG0MU good luck there’s a shit load now lol. As someone who still consistently plays this game, I highly recommend a lot of the recent frames. Citrine, voruna, gyre, and styanax are all actually really fun imo.
Just started watching you, like the chill vibes. Cheers to you and your content
thank you, getting back into the game after a few years. This was super helpful!
My Bird Girl is an A+!
Equinox is my favorite Warframe, and I feel like a B is very fitting (personally would put her at B-). She's very versatile in her options, but all of those options are power crept by other Warframes now. She also just feels super old, which Brozime outlines perfectly.
I am still praying for an Equinox rework that brings her up to date (please help night form).
Agreed on all fronts! Equinox is a frame very dear to my heart, and I'd love to see her get some changes someday. Unfortunately since she isn't in dire need of them (and we've all seen how long it took for Grendel to get looked at, nevermind the current state Hydroid is in)....that day may not come for a while. The only thing I outright disagree with Brozime on is Provoke's effectiveness, which is just straight up wrong...usually. If you do the typical bare bones low budget maim build with like 0 strength, yeah, sure, it's basically useless, but my current build is a tweaked Maim build with some semblance of strength (i.e what you basically need to do if you want to take actual advantage of any of Equinox's Gloom builds) and it works like a charm.
Needs 1 Umbral Forma and I do run it with Energize (for basic QOL, not neccessarily for build up-keep) so it's definitely expensive, but I also run it with Molt Aug and together the whole build just works. Armor still definitely cucks her to be sure, Helminth only goes so far when you decide between an actual armor strip ability in Terrify (which I'm not the -biggest- fan of, seems to just... _not_ want to work sometimes in my tests in actual gameplay. It's weirdly inconsistent), or something for typical survivability like Gloom.
@@megagrowlithe yeah, I feel like he probably mixed up pacify and provoke with each other. I think he meant that pacify is power crept by Gloom (which is true) but if he's running gloom on day form Equinox, he's probably using provoke to get that 95% slow.
It's easy to miss it with how quickly he went through the note, but he through away provoke with the line of "and who uses provoke anyways". By the sounds of he actually puts more value into pacify then he does in provoke, which would I actually agree with in general. if night form just innately had discount gloom in her kit she probably wouldn't even need the subsumed version. the power strength in comparison is nice, but not really all that necessary in order to build her.
By the way, does power strength actually do anything for day equinox? it's basically just the damage multiplier from Rage I think. Provoke only gets more power strength, and Maim only scales the initial slash proc that deals a small amount of damage, not the damage conversion.
Great info! Thank you so much 🙌
OMG YES!!~ I've been waiting for another Full roster review!~ 😁😆
It's refreshing to see a tier list actually talk about Octavia and not just give her a meme rank and move immediately on
Even for solo Steel Path I find myself using Titania a ton. She's still as fragile as you'd expect, but there's something to be said about the ability to zip to extraction before most enemies even have a chance to shoot at you. Helps that her kit is a bit of an all-rounder --- heals, buffs/debuffs, crowd control, and her 4's evasion does give some survivability if luck is on your side. With Valkyr sadly still stuck with an outdated mixed bag of a kit, it wouldn't surprise me if the fairy frame takes over the throne someday as my most played frame.
I've been a Titania main for a couple years, and I have absolutely no issue using Titania on Steel Path at all. She does incredibly high single target dmg, and she can obliterate most enemies on SP in fractions of a second. Even most Eximus units die exceedingly fast. She may not do huge map clear, but she can gun down squads of enemies very quickly by just spraying a shitload of bullets.
Also, I don't feel she struggles much for survivability. She already gets very high evasion from being in Razorwing, as well as just being a very small target, so enemies will struggle to hit you. I run a couple Boreal mods (I run a Guandao as my melee, slotted with Boreal's Contempt), and Boreal's Hatred on her frame, which gives her a flat 40% DR at all times in Razorwing. I'm running ~1300 health and ~750 armor, so the few hits she does get aren't usually too bad. Also, there's something to be said for being permanently immune to status effects, since you're self-casting her Spellbind often to maintain Razorwing Blitz anyway. Further, you can use her Dust and Thorns tributes for even more survivability buffs if you feel you're struggling (I generally don't bother much with the buffs because they are too much of a pain to maintain, and I really hope Tribute gets reworked at some point, much like he talked about in the video).
The idea that Titania can't do SP well is one of the few times I disagreed with Brozime in this vid. I've run her through basically every content in the game, and about the only things she isn't good at is dealing with enemies that have damage attentuation (liches, sisters, archons), since her dps will get nuked heavily by the attenuation since so much of her damage comes from having a stupidly high fire rate.
@JeremyGlenesk my gf is a titania main but im in the process of improving her build. I found that health conversion is actually super useful on her since all the evasion means she wont be taking damage and even if she takes damage, shield hits dont consume hc stacks. So its an easy 1350 armor for the few times you do get pelted. Saves some room for other mods and shards
@@StarhiveartI think that would probably be overkill, as she already has a lot of baked in survivability, and would mean giving up one of my arcane slots that add quite a bit of power for even more survival.
@@JeremyGleneskgiving up an arcane? Health conversion alone is the only survivability i use (ig plus aviator) and i havent ran into any issues with survivability at all. Even if you do take health damage, there are usually a shitton of health orbs lying around to heal you and replenish hc stacks immediately, even with synth fiber. I havent done level cap to be fair but ive gone up to like level 500 in endless missions and not die once
Yea, that seems about right. Thanks to your inputs and objective experience i kinda saw through my rose tinted glasses for my oberon and vauban, i love those frames with all my heart but i see that there are better options and a few new builds i have to try
lol what
Love this tier list. Thank you!
I feel like I agree with most of the tier list.
The thing that threw me off the most was Loki being given a C. I would personally give him a D-, with Invisibility being just good enough to prevent him from falling into F tier. His invisibility doesn't even have anything else attached to it, like being able to give it to allies like Ash or Octavia, or a melee buff like Voruna. Decoy is THE most useless ability in the game, and Switch Teleport is only slightly less pointless. Radial Disarm at least does something, but it's not a very good effect and has basically no synergy with anything.
Hydroid may be the frame most in need of a rework, but Loki definitely has second place secured on that list. He's not really a Warframe at this point, just an invisibility bot. But with each year, the novelty and uniqueness of invisibility diminishes as more frames come out with their own, often superior versions, meaning Loki becomes less and less relevant.
loki has a 4 that is really good and invisibility is still better than most survivability
@@knowk5737 his 4th is completely useless once you yourself are invisible, outside of doing a defence ofcourse. But if you are going to do defence you are not going to pick Loki.
The only thing that Loki provides is being invisible all the time which does not provide anything else than not being shot at. There are 10+ frames that do surviving better than Loki and also do provide a ton more with their other abbility's. He is bassicly like inaros, both are so incredibly tanky (not up to lvl cap ofcourse) without providing anything else in their abbility's. Loki isn't uneffective, because being invisible is quite good. But there are now 3--4 other frames with the exact same niche that also have other uses or simply do it better.
He's not bad because he does not do anything, he's just braindead boring and incredibly outdated.
I'd rate him higher than D- but I agree he's in a really bad spot and should probably go lower than C. The thing I didn't see addressed in the video is that every player basically has a pocket Loki on the 5 ability at all times. So Loki's only good ability is available to every player at all times for free.
i agree, but wisp is just loki, her two it all of loki's kit in one. i think loki needs a refresh of his powers.
Ash can't give other players invis. The Aug gives them crit chance, but not invis. It's wukong that has his enveloping cloud Aug that gives other players invis, although funny enough, not himself, outside of being in cloud walker.
here's an idea for Frost's ice wave.
decrease its initial damage but the ability leaves behind a hazard zone the that slows enemies and proc's slash every second or so for as long as an enemy is on the hazard.
duration would determine how long the hazard stays and strength would determine damage while standing or moving through the hazard
this would further cement Frost's role as a defense warframe especially when combined with his dome, approaching any objective he's defending would be like crawling through broken glass for the enemy
Dude, seriously, you'd think sharp shards of Ice would cut people up. At least he now has the Crit buff from freeze status.
I love these, I just put it on in the background and learn about the current state of everything. Wish there was more of these for weapons that isn't "here's what others are using".
love these from you!!! thank you :)
It's worth noting for anyone watching this after late February, gyre recently got a great augment that makes gyre at least a B to A- frame now
I'd say Gyre is definitely at least A- now but was probably already a B with high damage, solid grouping, and the standard shield gating fix for survivability issues.
I put the Wisp blind on Hildryn w/ the same idea as your electric Chroma build. It is pretty good because her 3 is constantly proc'ing and setting off the feedback loop doing millions of dmg easily. Any enemy group affected will die, and will die harder with her 2 stripping their armor. I'll have to try the Chroma version to compare.
I've tried out both, using surge in my initial clearing of the steel path star chart, and currently just ward for railjack clear, and they are both fantastic. Surge Hildryn is maybe a bit better at killing groups, and gets slightly more survivability (not that she needs with her pillage spam but it can help squishier teammates), while ward does more bazonga damage and doesn't need many button presses but has a little less kill range and isn't multiplied in deadliness by crowds. Wards is obviously better single target damage, but give surge hildryn a decent gun and she'll do just fine by headshotting the one or two stripped enemies that survive surge+blazing pillage spam. In my experience they are pretty equivalent, I'd maybe say surge is better at Steel Path densities while Ward is hilariously easy at lower densities.
@@MasterAarott wait, what ward ability are you referring to?
@@Synkhan Elemental Ward. Chroma's Subsumable.
@@Synkhan Elemental ward, from Chroma. It's the one Brozime mentioned in his build.
Oh hell yeah. I've been waiting for this
Oh finally :D My favorite video of the year!
It's a shame you're not looking into Nourish. In combination with equilibrium, it can easily replace emergence dissipate for Valkyr. Then just run unairu for that armor strip, and bam, endless void cascade.
Replacing Zephyr's 2 with Spectrorage and then popping Spectrosiphon on also turns her into a generator of infinite energy for the whole team.
great video. super informative and helpful.
a tip for xaku....since you are already building for range...subsume pull over xatas whisper...use the greedy pull augment and for hilariousness...arcane eruption. youll get constant energy just by pulling in all the orbs in the area (which will always have some because...floating guns go brrrr)...and youll get cc from the pull itself and eruption on top of that. not only that...but you will yoink bad guys into range for your floating guns and theyll be dead before they can stand up again. xakus dodge bonus makes the shield regen of condemn not all that useful really. you dont need a lot of shields when you dont get hit in the first place.
plus the greedy pull grabs everything from everywhere when you use vast untime to farm boxes and stuff.
These videos safe my a** everytime i decide to jump back into the game! Appreciate it.
I am INCREDIBLY happy that i chose to farm out Protea as early as i did. She is now my most played Frame. She is excellent.
I sense a theme here, namely:
"This warframe is better with Gloom"
Great vid, appreciate the info 👍
Thank you for doing this tier list :)
I feel so, so sorry for Valkyr... once upon a time my favourite frame. She had such an opportunity to actually rise the ranks last year... but as quickly as the light came, it was swiftly extinguished... and her hopes were crushed. It genuinely feels like DE just doesn't care about her anymore... such a shame.
Excellent tier list as always, let's hope next year's list has more A's.
P.S. Ah yes, Vauban, the warframe that can't be fixed.
P.P.S. Hydroid's F is well deserved... hentai man shouldn't be as bad as he is, and not reworking him at this point is inexcusable.
You should give Nourish Valkyr a try... Works rather well. Though her claws do need some animation updates. Spin to win gets boring after a while.
Honestly I don’t think Vauban needs much beyond a numbers buff to be….well if not in an excellent state, at least decent and fun.
Makes me sad to see the state of atlas and he's been that way for 7 years :c. Big sad
A few things to note about Sevagoth;
His passive only works once due to a bug.
Due to another bug, his shadow can die once and stay dead throughout the rest of the mission.
Naramon's focus strike does not work in his shadow form.
Sevagoth has a grand total of 0 augments.
BTW, great video. Enjoyed the breakdowns of the reasons why you selected the tiers for all the warframes.
Edit: As of now, the 2 death bugs are currently fixed. The rest outlined in this comment and the replies still exist.
His 1-2 synergy also doesn’t currently work for clients.
@@frenchfriedbagel7035 that specifically is only the case when there's a certain amount of lag involved. I've worked around the issue by only allowing < 100ms matchmaking but it is incredibly annoying, I'll admit.
I feel like sevagoth exists to be sacrificed to helminth which, is actually more Emogoth
Also cracked relic bonuses in Endless fissure missions don't apply to his shadow in both normal and steel path
Love the video interest to hear your thoughts and opinion on where you think certain warframes are,
wonder if you'll follow up by a weapon roster review or at least a roster review similar to the last one where you go over notable weapons of each mr but ignore mr fodder unless they have a unique interaction
this is the content i expect, and im happy :)
I think one of the things to keep in mind with Ivara is that Artemis Bow is one of the few exalted weapons that legitimately scales.
On Nekros, I use Despoil in combination with Health Conversion and Adaptation, and now with the addition of Archon Shards, which I split between armor and health on him, he becomes one of my best tank frames. I don't play Nekros often, but when I do, if I'm being active, I tend to be pretty unkillable.
You can literally cast Rev’s Mesmer skin in steel path, go AFK and come back and still not be dead. I do agree Nekros is one of the best tank frames in the game but Mesmer skin is just THAT good.
@@JustSendMeLocationPlease | Nekros is probably among my top five best tanks, but Revenant is first place without any question. Add in Rolling Guard to make it so you're invulnerable even while recasting Mesmer Skin, and you're literally unkillable if you have half your brain.
Nice recap. I play mega infrequently but it's cool to hear where Frames are at.
Nice video Brozime, as always
Rhino stomp is good for containing the strongest slow in the game, 97.5%. Affects acolytes btw.
Also iron skin is fine in Steel Path, but for spam casting. Sadly not status immune in iron skin immunity state, but plenty good.
I wish Hildryn's 4 was without the balefire chargers added in, so you can use regular weapons while in her 4, and then you could just cast her 1 while in her 4 to get her balefires
I was looking forward to Grendel's rework at it did not disappoint. I even thought he was a little better than Gauss and I love that guy too. Sadly though, some of my favorite frames from the past are in low ranks. This was a very informative and on the spot video. Great job Brozime.
I went looking for a warframes 'lore recap' list with everything about each one of them explained, their creation, relation to characters etc, but I couldn't find it so I am here to request that video
I think it would be really neat
(also holy crap thank you for this video, it was much needed after 4 years of not playing)
Gara with eclipse augment and 4 1 combo can wipe everything on the map that isn't an archon hunt heavy gunner. Since eclipse multiplier WORKS for her 1. A single 4 1 combo can build around 450k damage on her 2 with a decent statstick.
You can get 200k from a single 4 1 combo with a decent stat stick while using Nourish, which also gives you an energy multiplier (which means you can spam 4 1 more) and also makes you release viral AOEs which will increase the damage enemies take when you actually touch them with your 2.
Personally i'd say Spectrosiphon+Spectrorage is more then enough in most content. A good stat stick on it's own is usually enough to clear out the majority of content with just the 4 1 combo, which alongside the full kit combo of 2 4 1 allows her to scale even past that. That being said, I've totally overlooked the viral proccing aspect of Nourish, and combined with the energy gain may not miss spectrorage that much anyways. i'll probably look into that soon.
While I do agree with most of the ranks. Your bias does show in a few of them. No offense, it’s completely normal to have some bias. Inherent bias is a human thing. Couple of things to note:
1) Gauss would be A instead of A- , Brozime im a long time viewer and I urge you to try out this build. Instead of narrow minded run stretch and augur reach. 3 basic red duration archon shards get you to 70 seconds of redline with other duration mods which is more than sufficient. It kills me everytime you say “subsume thermal sunder” because low level mob clearing ability. When in fact Gauss is actually made to spam TS at 100% battery. Try doing 2-3 heat procs on steel path enemies then 1 cold proc. You will one shot enemies in huge range aoe. Enemy radar to chase mobs and one shot between mach rushes. Also your point of spamming mach rush to get battery is wrong but understandable since you subsume over TS( cold thermal sunder generates battery).but overall dont wanna nitpick too much and come off like an ass.(sorry if i did)
2)titania doesn’t deserve to be A+, i dont know what content you’re doing but in no way is the general community speedrunning capture missions all day to justify A+ on titania who honestly doesn’t do much other than go fast(alot of frames do this so its not even an exclusive thing, frames like nova volt gauss wukong etc go almost as fast despite doing other stuff)
3) frost, ahh where do i began, I’ve seen your frost rework video and honestly would love to see something like that happen. But i think d is too harsh considering some of the other rankings in here bro. Half the content in this game is unironically “defend this” and frost is the best at that. He makes defense missions a joke, full aoe armor strips in a huge range with basic intensify mod AND good aoe cc. Considering loki is in C for nothing but invis, think you were very harsh on frost.(again,no offense, bias is a human thing, i just wanna start a healthy discussion). If we’re gonna deduct points from frost for being clunky to play, octavia doesn’t deserve a+. That warframe has no semblance of gameplay at all
4) wukong in my opinion should not be a+ after the nerfs, the clone is only situationally good with some niche weapons and cloud walker is his only good ability, pure movement does not justify a+ in my opinion. (Again, my opinion, i may be wrong, please correct me.)
5) Gara’s rank does not bother me, but i do wanna correct the common misconception that gara provides 90%dr to objectives which she doesn’t. Its capped at 50. Further proving my point that she doesn’t “do what frost does but better.” In fact if you do a solo mobile defense steel path, you’ll notice that gara barely keeps the objective alive, and thats with spamming mass vitrify.
6) Trinity- minor nitpick here but Trinity does not actually give 90% dr like you said. Its capped at 75% for herself and her allies and defense objectives get 50%(same cap as gara).
Conclusion- i quite agree with your assessment but as i said, just want to show some misinformation that’s pretty common, I don’t blame you obviously, its normal to miss a few things, its a huge game after all. Im sure there’s many abilities where im fucking clueless bro. I do believe however that we can have a healthy discussion where everyone learns new things and use tier lists as a medium for that discussion. To anyone who took the time to read this. Thank you
Yes, some points were indeed incorrect
I agree with most you said, but I have a few counterpoints.
2)I'm fairly sure main reason why titania is so high is because of thermal sunder. With thermal sunder and her high speed she can clear any enemy-based objective absurdly quickly, which is especially notable in relic farming(one of the most common grinds to commit to in warframe)
3)I can agree frost can be bumped up to atleast a B tier, but I kind of feel like you're overselling the "defend here" aspect of frost. in the majority of content you'll just outright kill any obvious threats to the objective anyways. In some cases even if you need a proper defensive ability there's other effective, even if inferior options that would also work fine(limbo's banish on applicatable targets comes to mind). Same thing applied to the armor strip honestly. I want to say the main reason why frost is C tier is that he lacks notable survival tools outside of CC and Snow globe(which as he mentions becomes clunky in missions with a reasonable amount of movement)
3.5?)I'm fairly sure the main thing carring octavia is Mallet, and stealth. sure she's clunky to optimize, but you don't even need to optimize her to clear the content you'd use her. Octavia is one of the most obvious cases in the "effort to reward ratio" mindset of the tierlist.
4)I think wukong so high up is two major factors: Clone can still basically carry you through a fair amount of content,(the small amount of matience required still doesn't really stop this); and that Cloudwalker more or less invalidates spy missions with the ability to turn invisible and ingore laser barriers. Combined with being one of many "I just never die" warframes, I can see why he'd put him in A tier(even if I similarly don't like it myself). This kind of goes back talking about the effort/reward of certain grinds.
5)I'm definitely going to insist that gara is generally better at defense then frost, even if her "not snowglobe" is harder to optimize. While splinterstorm only gives 50% DR, that's still twice as many hits. Combined with Mending splinter's passive healing the objective can afford to take alot more of hits then you would without a dedicated defense ability(such as giving up the subsume slot for banish).
Mass Vitrify does kind of fall apart at particularly high levels, but because it scales with armor, strength, and enemy count it can still become a barrier that lasts atleast a few minutes before needing to refresh.(granted if you're using your DPS combo you'll naturally be refreshing the barrier every ~30 seconds anyways, but that goes back to my previous point of defense not mattering if everything is dead)
On the off chance you keep spectrorage, it also functions as an okayish secondary defense field. the high threat range soft-CCs in a fairly large radius, and enemies often struggle with breaking the mirrors quickly when they're behide walls(Plus the fact they'll generally enter the circle before firing means you can just kill them with splinter storm)
@@robertobear1749 Pretty much bang on there. People doubt and hate on Avalanche Armor because they hope to tank with it when really it's more like an overshield with status immunity. It still by no means is amazing, but it's hardly useless as most people claim. It actually can help a lot with getting around. You can always Helmith some survivability on him too. He's C tier.
Gonna have to adjust that hydriod score in Pablo we trust!!!
can't believe I just watched a 2.5 hour video elaborating on exactly why I play the frames I do, and don't play the ones I don't wow.
In all seriousness very well done and good time stamps, I'm sure this video will be a good evergreen for the next year as new players blitz through the game scrounging through the mr fodder and perhaps giving (unloved)(primarily zephyre) warframes a 2nd shot before throwing them at the wall anyways. Did open my eyes to a few cases like zaku which was nice.
When I first seen Yareli I hoped that she’d have a set of exalted glaives but my hopes were crashed, stomped out,and burned when I heard that she has a k-drive.could’ve done better D.E.😢
I won’t lie the idea of her is really cool. She just underperforms everywhere :( I wanna like her but she’s just.. not good at anything.
Awesome stuff as always Brozime! I really appreciate the amount of time and effort you put into your content. It has been quite literally mine and my wife's go-to resource after returning to Warframe after a number of years. A question I had, as I typically will always be playing with at least my wife and often times my brother-in-law as well, any plans for content revolving around ideal group play or interesting/effective/fun Warframe combinations? A lot of the content I peruse, including tier lists like these, (understandably) rate Warframes on their effectiveness solo, however I am certain there are times where lower ranked Warframes can bring more to the table when paired with another. It's difficult to find much in the way of team combos and synergies. Apocryphate put it probably the best when he said that most Warframe missions are just 4 people soloing the mission together, but I would love to delve further into how the different frames can complement one another. Anywho. Love your stuff and thanks again for all you do for the community!
Just look at what you lack with 1 frame and cover it with another. Depending on the content, you need damage buffs, armor strip, energy economy, cc, damage reduction on yourself and teammates, a way to heal, etc. Wisp for example as a support frame covers a lot of this, then you only need something like protea or even hildryn for energy generation and/or armor strip if you aren't relying on zenurik focus school for energy. Then you have a flex slot like nekros for the farming, or mesa for more mass murder and giving damage reduction to people, or whatever you think you are still lacking in or just to speed up mission timers. Obviously if you have the helminth segment installed then the options open up even more because now 1 warframe can cover even more things, like wisp can now buff damage with roar, or strip armor with hildryn's ability (forget name), or provide energy with protea's dispensary while still buffing attack and move speed, health and regen, and offering cc with both stuns and blinds. So you can probably get most things you need covered with almost any combination of 2 or especially 3 warframes and it comes down to what you enjoy or can be bothered to do (mag for example can do many things effectively but with much more effort required than many other warframes require to do it just as well).
Random untested ideas that you don't need to read really: If you are doing for example defense or survival where you don't have a need to move around the map then maybe pick 2(or 3) frames that have set up time like frost getting his ice globes to overlap, wisp setting up her motes in several points, gara and/or saryn building up their technically infinite scaling damage. If you aren't too bothered about being optimal, you could go for themed ideas like all playing stealth warframes ash, loki, ivara, whisp, octavia if you can be bothered to crouch at the right time. Or all being super tanks inaros, hildryn, revenant, rhino, etc. Maybe stacking traps that pull enemies in like khora and nidus or vauban plus a warframe that keeps them alive and topped up in energy like trinity.
I have an off-and-on interest for warframe, but when I vanish for a few months and come back, your channel is the first one I check out to catch up on things. Thanks for your content, dude, you’ve been a clutch for many, many years
Loki becomes a much better frame when you subsume Limbo's banish over his 4. Cast decoy, and then banish. The decoy will constantly draw enemy aggro, while taking no damage due to it being in the rift.
Sounds like Decoy becomes much better but I'm not sure if Loki becomes much better from that. I mean instead replacing Disarm with Banish, you just disarm. I like the idea though, just Loki is still pretty bleh. Switch Tele and Decoy should be rolled together, just when Switch Tele has no target you Place a Decoy; if you Switch Tele an enemy/object a Decoy gets left behind/enemy becomes decoy so enemies attempt to target and kill Teleported enemy. In the current game that's still a reasonable first ability so we could easily get something useful on his 3rd.
Having to subsume an ability to make decoy viable while octavia can place her 1 and not only is it an immortal decoy it also reflects all the damage dealt to it back to the enemies. They simply arent in the same league.
My only disagreement is with Lavos. He has a very solid movement ability in vial rush, he can get phenomenal armor and a great way to regen his high health with Ophidian bite. He also gets a good primer in his 3 and his pizzas can deal very solid damage and a large amount of fire damage. I'm not saying he's a god tier frame but i think he deserves a B rating
I completely agree, I'm a Lavos main and I don't think this tier list does Lavos any justice. I do keep a good eye on Brozime's channel for excellent info on builds and where to go to achieve certain things in the game... but from his very first video on Lavos and seeing him use it incorrectly... I still disagree with Brozime on Lavos. My Lavos build is made where I can easily do anything in the game, never die, and still kill enemies very quickly, even in Steel Path. Kuva Liches and Parvos Sisters are a joke for Lavos.
@TheRadikarAuthor yeah he looked strictly at the abilities and not performance of lavos. I also never die on him and he's great for 90% of content. He only really falls off in endurance or for specific farms. Also he forgot about railjack, Lavos is the best frame for railjack.
Brozime: SSS+
Thanks to you I've been able to understand this game better, even if there are things that are still confusing to me, your videos have been fundamental for me in how to play this game, I don't mean to discredit other Warframe content creators out there, they also bring something good that makes me understand and enjoy this game, but you have that very refined mix of digestive depth, where you give as much detail as possible in a way that can be easy to understand and for that I'm thankful.
Hope you're always in good health and the channel keeps growing!
I haven't played the game in quite a while, and I'm very happy to hear that Zephyr got such a glow-up. Shall definitely play her again.
Valkyr can take advantage of Nurish to stay in her 4 indenfinatly. However only with enough spawns. Steel path level isn't needed just your normal high spawn mission. I don't know if that's enough to get her out of C, but I think it makes her more viable then she was before.
I was wondering about that actually, good to know. Valkyrs always looked fun to me but energy issues is just pain so I don't really play her
Also, if you got some yellow shards, energy orb efficiency is more consistent than energized and really helps along with the preparation.
@@bradleymallard6347 true, doesn't energize also benefit from nourish?
The Valkyr placement is weird to me with r3 energize infinite hysteria build I never run out of energy and do endurance runs in steel path all the time ig it’s just me or smth but it’s literally brozimes build
@@Phantica seriously valkyr has always been top notch easy high b to low A for how hood she is at what she does.
I think Caliban's fusion strike is a little more than ok. It's a pretty long duration field that does seemingly permanent armor and shield stripping.
His goons are pretty silly, however. I've messed with theorems and other ways of buffing them, and they're not very good. Kinda wish we got ones that could do ranged attacks, like battalysts.
However, being an armor strip + goons does just make him a worse Xaku in a lot of ways.
i'd say he's a better xaku at least in terms of his armour strip, with xaku's armour strip the enemies regain their armour after leaving the strip zone, caliban's is permanent
@@notawehraboo6159 the point of xaku armor strip is to create a kill zone, combined with his 2 and 4 everything should be dead anyways. Not to mention that you don’t have to keep recasting it like caliban.
His goons don't kill shit but the shields are nice. Just slap an Augur mod anywhere in your build and he's an ez shield gate frame.
I played warframe years ago on Xbox decided to start over a week ago im on pc and even tho I have to start over it’s nice and I know what frames I want from videos like this my rhino will be completely later this week can’t wait

wait... was that a deliberate quote from Ursula in "The Little Mermaid", or just an amazing accident?
Seems too perfect to refer to Yareli like that
I'll say I think you're harsher on Frost than is entirely warranted. I'd certainly use him over say, Vauban, and I think he brings more to the table than Loki. I actually use Frost pretty much weekly because there is almost invariably some kind of defense objective on archon hunts and I can't be bothered to use any other defense frame for it. I use a big globe/avalanche build with biting frost, and the energy on heavy zaw arcane + archon continuity for some cheap extra energy income so I can just follow moving defense targets spamming snowglobe and cast cheap but still 100% stripping avalanches before blasting enemies to smithereens. I don't even have a helminth I particularly like using with him but his 2 is wide open looking for anything cozy one wants (I've considered thermal sunder since it can freeze for biting frost, but it feels redundant to avalanche). Nourish would probably slap.
I count understand why he was a D much worse frames then him. Full strip, cc, defense, augment gives insane crit/crit chance. He almost like a full package. I don’t main him but I never struggle when I play him.
frost is old and stale
@@howdareyouexist That doesn't make a frame D tier though. Frost is still plenty useful, and sometimes the best choice for defense scenarios. Inaros is arguably just as stale but not more useful over other frames.
I really want hydroid to get the next rework. He has such a good theme and the coolest deluxe skin in the game in my opinion. There's so much that a good rework could do for him it would be hard to mess it up
Take the max targets off the tentacle swarm and give it more range. As for the rest of the abilities, get rid of them. They’re god awful
@@JustSendMeLocationPlease The other abilities would work very well with some tweaks.
He needs a completely new passive without a shadow of a doubt.
Remove the hold to charge mechanic on his 1 and 4, it just feels awful and outdated.
The corrosive effect on his 1 should be a default thing and not an augment, and make it not ragdoll.
His 2 should take the place of his dodge roll instead of being a whole skill.
You shouldn't have to remain in place with 3 to drown enemies, especially since the way his 2 works seems to encourage you to move with it.
The tentacles from his 4 should have way more range of attack and should also be placed more densely together so that enemies can't just walk through the whole thing like it's nothing. His 4 should also just wrap the enemies up and hold them in the air while tightly constricting them and doing a DOT effect instead of constantly slinging them around so you can actually shoot them.
The 1 could be a simple fix, it's storm rain ffs : press 1 time, enemies slip and fall, it corrodes armor, it has a nice range and they take more damage from electricity for example
the 3 could be reinforcing the 4 like, ennemies that get caught feed you health and generate 1 more tentacle
The rework could be so easy
Man I love caliban. Just a fun playstyle. But honestly agree. I forget about him quite a bit but when I remember I use him for a bit
Coming back im so glad hydroids rework was so so good hes like all I play now and is very good with my set up in nectracells

This community man. Never change Warframe. ❤
There's actually one change up to Valkyr that I don't know if you fully looked into, but try Helminth-ing Voruna's ability onto Valkyr, and then fit Equilibrium onto her. Hysteria is a melee ability, so that's pretty regular health orb drops, and with Equilibrium giving 110% of health orbs as energy, so long as you have a companion with Synth Fiber on, you'll be getting 55 energy from nearly every other enemy after the health orb buff.
Its terrible unless you prime enemies with nukor to get the buffed duration. Nourish+energize works much better for me.
Ya, you can basically have it on forever if there are enough enemies.
do nourish instead
@@noahedenborg4221 That relies on more RNG to get orb drops, though the elemental bonus would be nice. Does the retaliation effect still proc in hysteria?
@@lordcommissarspartan i believe so also just find an eximus unit or use equilubrim
Zephyr is my main. I made a fairly unorthodox mod setup for her, though.
I felt that her 3 didn't do enough for me because of a mission I did with an insane number of AoE attacks that ignored it, so I tried putting the Boreal mod set on her alongside the other mods that reduce damage taken while airborne. Now she's practically unkillable, and I'm still able to provide plenty of firepower and support.
Bro the watch time on these videos.must be crazy. As someone who just recently (last week) returned to warframe ( after 6 years) your channel is a blessing. Deserve a sub for sure
You should've mentioned how insanely fun Protea is to play
Throwing out abilities left and right
Fun to play isn’t how he rates frames though. There’s some frames that are pretty fun to play like Yareli, but she’s just objectively kinda bad.
And you have frames like Saryn who is insanely good but you gotta sweat your ass off to play her and anything past 1hr as Saryn is exhausting. Just my opinion
It is in his video where he mentions the rating criteria, "fun" is entirely subjective so it's not included
Will say, Loki's decoy is actually better than people realize because of just WHAT it does and how it actually works. The thing to remember is that his decoy can be placed in location that you normally cannot get to. Also because of the way the AI is, it will detect the decoy through walls and put the decoy at the top of it's aggro list. So if you put the decoy behind a wall that the enemies cannot walk around, they will attempt to keep shooting at the wall. And radial disarm also does more than "disarm". It switches the enemy AI from using their ranged AI to used Melee AI and is permanent.
Sure, but for any normal Warframe play...why would I want to do that...especially when Resonator exists and is a helminth ability that could be put on a frame with abilities that actually do something?
Realistically, Loki is completely outclassed by Octavia outside of very niche scenarios, and doesn't really offer team utility when the focus of the game's meta continues to be killing everything as quickly as possible.
@@Straviradius Exactly. Loki's abilities are very strong in a context that doesn't really exist.
"behind a wall that the enemies cannot walk around", are there many of these in the game anymore? What missions is this helpful for?
Great Job!
Zephyr is my 2nd Prime frame, I got (actually I buy her prime vault lol) based on my friend recommendation and I'm instantly fell in love with everything she can do. I basically play her since beginning of my journey on the star chart until today, she's my go to frame for steel path and my usage count far exceed any other frames. Play Zephyr, she's amazing.
brozime: "mirage's 4 does no damage"

I don't think it will affect his tier placement, but you had really ought to test out post-buff reinforced stomp. It replaces iron shrapnel on a build and makes the whole setup so much more comfy since instead of needing to refresh the whole setup from step 1, you just press 4 once and heal your iron skin for millions.
Also worth noting about nezha, divine spears built for max range trivializes interceptions in all but a few maps, especially steel path
Let's get it!
