Thanks for the list. I really don’t think Ember deserves an A- for being in the state she’s in. You have to spam her 4 to do damage so you won’t really be using her 1, her 2 is way too inefficient to be effective and her 3 despite sounding decent doesn’t seem to really do anything. She’s just honestly a one trick pony. Good for nuking low level enemies and that’s about it. Anything over level 50 and she starts to struggle which is kind of a bummer because she can be a breath of fresh air from Saryn or Mesa. But she just can’t kill like they can

One look at her wiki page makes it obvious, her kit is almost ludicrously effective. They're sleeping on her because they physically fell asleep while trying to play as her.

Unfortunately how fun they are to play isn’t factored in the scoring. If it was Octavia would be way lower. Imagine a frame where to refresh an ability you aren’t just needing to press a key when the timer runs out but need to keep spamming, and imagine having not 1 but like 4 of these that you have to maintain.
You time it to the beat. If the beat's once per millisecond that reduces the progress toward the buff. Just don't design your songs to give yourself carpal tunnel and your carpal tunnel woes shall drift away over the rainbow as if by the magic of Melvin the Moon Man & his Merry Men.

It's all relative though. Some warframes will ALWAYS be lower than others. Even if they boosted the lower warframes, it would decrease certain others by necessity
I’m relatively a young Tenno. I’ve only got 1000 hours played but almost all of my clan mates are rank 29 or 30. My buddy told me that it’s not that the frames are bad, just so outdated that you might as well not use them. Frost is just completely outclassed by newer frames like Gara. Oberon is really only good for really low level content. Nekros despite being good needs an augment (two depending on your style) as well as numerous other mods. There’s very few ways you can build Nekros. You build him to stay alive and that’s really it. Inaros? Complete and utter dog shit trash. “He never dies” neither does Rhino if you’re paying attention. Some of the frames are not bad, but why use Frost over Gara? Why use Hydroid over Khora or Nekros (which yes I know hydroid is fun) It’s just that all the old frames are in bad need of reworks

@@JustSendMeLocationPlease No, not really. There are a lot more ways to replenish health, you'll have to be afk to run out. Not even that will do you in, with certain arcanes. Iron Skin, on the other hand, can be stripped in a moment by, say, nullifier bubble poking through the floor, that you had no way of anticipating or dealing with. The only advantage of iron skin is immunity to status effects while it lasts, those can be annoying as fuck. Inaros can do that as well with an augment, though.

DE knew they couldn't directly nerf loki without the community going into civil war so they just built the game up in a way where loki was still top class at what he does but what he does doesn't matter as much anymore.
D is for "Don't touch, needs Jesus." Edit: Just a fun little niche use I found for Titania is that she's actually surprisingly good at soloing the Isolation Vaults down on Deimos, as her Razorwing makes killing the Necramechs hilariously easy, and her one helps keep enemies off of Loid.
Ive found titania in a nieche ive been using personally. Full range and duration with lantern with lantern u zoop up enemies in a 50m~ radius and after watching youtube for a minute you just melee to one shot all the enemies that coagulated around the lanterns. Note that u'll wanna throw in a redirection tho as enemy ai occasionally breaks and the charmed enemies can shoot a bullet or two from time to time
Titania can do just about everything amazingly, with a specialized build. Also a tip. Using the ammo efficiency ability from helminth to replace her 3, then using razorwing blitz with 199% power strength, an arcane to increase rate of fire, and lethal torrent.. it makes her able to burst down eidolon limbs effortlessly.
Nyx was actually super desirable in squad compositions before her Prime dropped, back when the game was much more centered on crowd control powers because "nuking" abilities fell off much sooner than weapon damage. And it was a better game back then, imo.
I'll always have a soft spot for Nyx. She was the first Frame I farmed when I was a brand new player and was like, "Mind control the enemies!? Yes please! That's my kind of play style!" I still use her sometimes too just for funsies. She does take some of the pressure off in some group contexts, so she's not completely useless in my eyes. Her big crowd control ability is basically only useful to give the team, like, literally one second to stop the enemies from dealing damage while everyone reloads, or longer if they need to take a minute to just have a chill moment. Then the board is wiped clean and the next group of enemies on their death march spawns and are insta-nuked. ☺️
My tip on how to play Hydroid: replace his 1 with Volt’s shock. This isn’t particularly effective, but shooting lighting at things as a puddle is very amusing.
Octavia might be the most powerful warframe buuuuuut, she's boring as sin to play, what's the point of having the best tool for the job if no one wants the job.
she's only boring because very silly people think you need to stay invisible forever to actually run her, so they spend the entire mission spamming Ctrl until their pinkies fall off that's dumb and wrong though, so I'm not much worried about it

As I said a year ago, even if a frame isn’t ranked amongst the “best of the best”, it can still be highly effective in the hands of skilled players. Do no feel discouraged if your favorite is ranked low. You’re the one who makes it great.
This is really important to note for sure, especially for new players. Brozime's rankings are barely considered based in empirical data in the first place, but what he takes into account the most is simply the ease of use of each frame; he really only cares if a frame either benefits the party at large all at one time or if the frame can scale with the content (which is really just about which warframes make those two things the easiest to accomplish at any given time). That being said, several frames on this list can be bumped up or down solely based on how people play them, let alone how they are built and all of this completely ignores the idea of weapons that aren't part of warframe abilities, so you can really pretty much play just about anything and accomplish your goals in game for the most part as long as you are adapting well to the challenges that the game throws at you.
You only need a decent melee, some way to generate sheilds, and rolling guard, congratulations, you're nearly unkillable and output more than sufficient damage

Yup. Her farm is one of the most soul crushingly annoying farms in the game, which limits her availability. THE SECOND her prime comes out she's gonna get nerfed into the ground.
@@darthgiorgi4990 It's not that her farm is bad compared to Harrow, Nidus, Gauss, Grendel, Khora and Protea because all of those frames have much worse part farm than Octavia. 1. You can get one part from the music puzzle on lua which literally takes maybe 30 seconds and drops the part 100%. 2. Second part has a chance to drop from Lua sabotage lockers, agrees this might take a while but you can absolutely speed run this and make the farm quicker. 3. Her last part drops from derelict survival rotation C which is just abyssmal I agree but thats the only thing making her farm "bad" otherwise she is easier to get than a lot other frames. What makes her so rarely played is that she simply is not fun to play even despite having brokenly strong abilities. Guess what, players dont just play frames who are OP because they are OP, but the fun factor is so important too. Otherwise she would be played the most.
Frost was the very first Warframe I built after starting with Excalibur, and he was my very first Prime Warframe, ever. He got me through basically the entire star chart and he’s always been one of my favorites. This just hurts. Because he’s right. Please DE, save my snowman. 😭💔

Frost still has really good armor and it’s not that he’s bad, just outdated. Before Gara and Khora he was the go to for everybody in defense missions. He’s not bad. It’s just that so many better frames have come out in the past several years.
I know this video is old but figure I'll say my piece to someone who knows limbo. I really feel like him being at c is inaccurate. He should at least be an A-. Sure as a solo frame he is gimmicky, but as a support? There are few frames better then limbo giving his entire party unlimited energy and infinite revives because limbo is borderline unkillable if he wants to be.
If you're playing solo, you can just press this key on the keyboard known as "ESC". Believe it or not, it will pause the game for you BUT WAIT! that also means you won't die and you can do whatever you want, come back whenever you please. I know, it's fucking crazy.
Mag's 1 is worse than her 3. I don't know why you wouldn't replace that instead. Considering that Polarize is a near instant cast and can be used to reset shieldgates on sentinels, it's VASTLY more useful than Pull, even with the Greedy Pull augment.
@@pronoobWarframe that's... what I said? Her 3 instantly replenishes shields, thus resetting shieldgates. That's an incredibly useful thing to have, especially if there aren't a lot of enemies around. If you're in a situation where you're fighting 1 tough enemy (e.g. a boss), casting her 4 wouldn't grant you a lot of shields, since it grants shields per enemy hit. Her 3 however always restores the same amount. It just doesn't grant overshields. But you don't need overshields to reset a shieldgate.
I feel like over the years warframe has power creeped to point that it's just hard to have interesting abilities that require set up or do a specific utility thing because if it doesn't do insane damage, nuke a room, hard cc everything or make you near immortal it just doesn't compete. If it requires set up time the enemies are already dead if you are in a group.
Harrow is 'fine', any Warframe that can give you a 200% affinity buff and endless energy won't be awful. That said; Harrow's very slow, frail, and requires a lot of careful play and setup to work at anything sortie-level or higher.
I honestly feel he’s an awesome solo frame especially if you build him for the destructive capability of his fourth with constant energy and healing and crowd control. That being said when is a random squad... yeah it’s not that great 😕
Harrow's great at what he wants to do. It's just what he wants to do just doesn't mesh with Warframe. It's the classic Gears of Warframe vs Warframe Musou dilemma that permeates other poorly designed aspects of the game.
It annoys me so much how DE doesn’t play to Warframe’a strengths, they keep trying to make it a different game. While cool, the open world format just doesn’t allow you to make the most of your warframes and their weapons.

@Octavia: I've been playing her almost exclusively over the past few months and I can tell you why nobody plays her. Her DMG is passive. Your Mallet has to be attacked by the mobs to reflect dmg, thus wiping out the entire map with almost zero problems. Metronome stealth and you can camp survival like no tomorrow, maybe whip out your gun to bring down priority targets (Arbitration Shield Drones for example) and you're golden. Organized teams can be very efficient that way. Hint: Resonator can be detrimental when you've found a good spot to pitch your tent. Downside is: To be efficient, you have to adopt a rather passive playstyle. Find a campsite, throw your Mallet, slap down Amp and Metronome, cloak and watch the mayhem ensue. Refresh 1, 3, 4, bullet jump through the gravy-loot-field and back, rinse, repeat. Reality Check: In Public you almost always have at least one "ChadThundergun", Legendary 394785 MR, shooting his Kuvalich-BFG once and clearing the screen/room, dealing 95%+ Team-DMG (slight exaggeration, 70%+ aren't uncommon, though) , running through the level like Speedy Gonzales on amphetamines. The Mission End screen shows Octavia with DMG in the single digits (Mallet can't kill things that do not attack it because they DED). Resonator-Mallet isn't a help either, it still has to be attacked to reflect anything and it is far too slow to keep up with a bullet jumping Tenno. Metronome is still useful for Offensive and Defensive purposes, but ChadThundergun profits from the buffs as well, scaling far better thanks to his BFG. Amp loses out hard, as it's a stationary Buff-field, which makes this skill pretty much useless, unless you can camp somewhere. Sure, if you have your own BFG you can keep up, but by that time you can choose whatever Frame you fancy.
Honestly its for this reason why I'd say that Gauss is actually one of the best frames in the game right now and deserves to be A+. The current meta is about running around like a lunatic spamming massively powerful AOE weapons and not dying, the things Gauss absolutely excels at.
The only bad thing with Octavia is the physical aspect of spamming the buff gains, i used to main her but I had to stop just from discomfort in my fingers after a while. I also moved over to Wisp, she is just fun to play and gives me the support feel I require.
I think Vauban was judged too harsh honestly. Flechette & Strike both scale with enemy level insanely well. You can 1-shot Steel Path Corpus with Orbital, & Flechette still shreds all 3 main factions. The Armour strip from his 4 isn't insanely fast but I have never once found a situation where you need to fully strip anyway. 1 Flechette alone will kill everything inside his before it gets fully stripped, not even requiring all 4 be dropped. His Durations are long & replacing his Tesla Nervos with either Dispensary or Pillage solves the survivability issues in Steel Path as well. His passive also granting bonus damage to any enemy in his crowd controls is just more icing in the cake. With a build of 105% Duration, 175% Efficiency, 145% Range & 166% Strength I honestly think Vauban deserves an A or A- Rank with Xaku. He's the only Warframe I felt was unfairly judged on this list.
Period honestly he's always given Vauban a low rank sometimes its deserved and sometimes its not, this time and the last time he ranked Vauban he got it completely wrong.

As for this being his opinion, yes some ratings do fall short due to bias or ignorance (say Inaros, Mag, and so on), but more often than not they're facts in relation to his rating system. And I'd argue that the rating system is what is his opinion, the way he sees bad frames vs good frames.
Eclipse seriously needs the two effects on tap/hold instead of the stupid, ancient area lighting thing. I never have the damage buff when I want it, or the damage reduction when I need it.
My only things with Octavia and why I don't play her: -The tie of your music track to how effective your abilities are is concerning since good music =/= optimal tempo, and should probably be disconnected. -Energy economy. While it can be fine at times, if you're not near allies casting abilities to get a bit of energy back, the cost of keeping 3 abilities up all the time for those who aren't lucky enough for certain specific mod drops can mean you're going feast and famine for what feels like her kit turning on and being fun, from no energy to all of it. -The abilities having such different duration lengths makes it a bit awkward to keep everything going when in 3 seconds, one thing needs recast, and in 10 seconds after that, ANOTHER thing needs recast, then literally the next second, the first thing needs recast. Hard to actually keep up a tempo when balancing 3 different timers that aren't equal duration on a frame all about music and tempo.
There's a niche use for Loki that didn't get mentioned: Railjack. If paired with Helminth's Perspicacity (replace Decoy or Switch Teleport), the Irradiating Disarm augment, enough range, and a good melee weapon; a Loki can A: board and destroy a crewship in under 15 seconds (not counting travel time), B: Board and hijack a Crewship with minimal fuss, C: completely neuter incoming boarding parties, and D: manage secondary objectives like bases and galleons with near-zero effort. This works because Railjack enemies are _extremely tanky_ . Even sortie level gear takes entirely too many shots to down them, so the usual answer to this nonsense (Mesa) actually ends up being suboptimal, since Peacemaker roots you in place, and you can end up getting flanked and-or swarmed. Outside of boarding parties and captain assassinations, you typically don't actually need to _kill_ foes, just _bypass_ them, so DPS isn't important, avoidance _is_ . And that's where Loki shines.
all frames are viable in any content, it just depends on who you like playing as and what you’re play style is. if you’re a new player, DO NOT use these tier videos as a shopping list. i did that a few years ago and ended up with a bunch of frames that i absolutely hate playing. loki was “s” class back then, and i thought, oh, well then i guess i’ll get him first; it was an absolute shit show. i’m sure he is/was great for many other players, but it’s all subjective, i still don’t like using loki to this day lol stick to frames that cater more towards your play style(tank, melee, ranged, support, etc) and then branch out a bit when you see something that you think might appeal to you; don’t just go to a tier list and base your entire loadout based off of them. watch videos that show you the frame’s abilities and see if you think that’s what you think looks cool or would be fun to use/play.
This tier list has just made me recognize how many new warframes over the years have just taken the place of older warframes in their original niches, leaving them to dry.

@@DevvyDovey actually, unless you’re in open world or something, the map doesn’t matter. Plus the kuva nukor makes it very easy to apply viral. I could also say what you said for frost and tag it onto Gara instead. It takes a very long time to build up the damage and maintaining it is very annoying. Even if you are committed and have a riven it’s still gonna take a while. IMO Gara is best played with max range. Is it good? I’ll let you decide. Is it funny? It is *very* funny.
As a veteran that play mostly casually lately, I agree with about 70% of this video. You can see there is some bias, there is a particular playstyle that affected these rankings, it's very meta dependent and I would word some things differently, but I largely agree. I agree that Octavia is overpowered and doesn't get the S tier simply because she's boring to use. Loki is in the downfall of his life time. Grendel need just a tiny push and he can be amazing. Frost and Nyx are D tier, I couldn't make any arguments about Frost even though he's my most used warframe in the game. Heck, I would put Frost at E for another reason that wasn't mentioned in the video. Things like that. I also think Zephyr is much better than C and she belongs at B+. Lavos have flaws and is yet to be updated from his release state, but I think he's also better than C. While I agree that Xaku belongs to A-, I think it's for other reasons. There are probubly more.

He is an awesome CC and though in endgame his 4th will not kill it is the most immediate armor strip aside from xaku but this plays both CC and the strip and thank you, someone who realizes the potential of Grendel. And Nyx along with loki is one of the best alternating CCs having some of the furthest ranges and good ability.
@@graysonnorman1785 My reason for Frost at E is not for how he manages in game, but how he's designed. Freeze, Ice Wave and Avalanche do almost the exact same thing (having similar results but in different scales). Why would I use Freeze if Ice Wave does the same but better? Why would I use Ice Wave is Avalanche does the same but better? Energy cost is not an excuse as these day it's not much of a problem to get energy. Frost simply have an ability that is streight up a better version of other two abilities he have. Even Snow Globe which used to be the best defensive ability in the game is outdated when 80% of the entire game either doesn't have an objective to defend or the objective is moving, which means Frost is too buisy chasing an operative that doesn't want to be defended. I also found myself fixing Snow Globe too much. If we talk how he manages in practice, I think he's D or C. He got some nice gimics but they simply fall short compared to other warframes. I put him lower for design issues which limits his potential. I thought just like you before I he reached Frost and I was also surprised like you. Frost is one of my favorate warframes out there, but even I couldn't make arguments in his favor when I decided to consider it. I tried to give Nyx a lot of chances but I just couldn't stand in high level missions. It might just be me though. Loki is useful and got himself some stuff, the thing is the meta is not in his favor and CC just becomes less relevant. Loki is my go to warframe in spy missions, but I found myself playing Loki only when I need to remain undetected. If it was a tier list ranking by design, I would put Loki at S because he captures the deception theme amazingly and because there is a use for all of his abilities. Every "tier list" is an opinion at the end and bias is just natural to be a factor, but when it is also affected by a specific playstyle then something is wrong. It's up to us to agree or disagree.
lavos just flat out needs efficiency reducing his cooldowns in the same way it would reduce energy, so basically for him to be able to cut all cooldowns to only 25%.
@@lachlanmcgowan5712 yes, but actually no. I play a 45% efficency build because I dont give a crap about his 3. BUT if all cooldowns would just be reduced I gladly restructure my build to have 7.5 seconds on his ult at all times.
So the New stats are out and Inaros is interesting. Among high-level players, he is the most used warframe. However, among total users, he's 14th. On another note, The most popular among all users is Wukong prime. It's a decent margin at 7.5% with Mesa in second at 5.27%. Wukong Prime is also second most used among high-level players at 7.37% and is just 0.11% behind Inaros who is 7.58%.
I think this is a really decent list and the grading changes make a lot of sense. Despite that I think two frames are quite a bit off here: If Inaros is A just for being tanky (with only 2 real abilities both of which help him be tanky) and Xaku is A-, then Hildryn and Wukong need to be higher. Hildryn's 3 enables Blazing Pillage, which does great AoE damage and CC even to high-level enemies (making it way better than the infused version) and synergizes well with Elemental Ward (lightning) , Breach Surge, and CO. Her 3 is also a decent support ability due to shield gating. Wukong is really good if you abuse his twin. Give the twin a Kuva Nukor for priming and use a CO melee weapon yourself and watch even the tankiest Steel Path enemies melt. What really annoys me is that Brozime's favorites (Mesa, Gara, Protea, Wisp) all have one garbage ability but now it even counts as a positive. But for Wukong instead of just replacing his 4 with Roar, Elemental Ward, Warcry, etc. it is somehow still a huge negative, which makes no sense. I'd say Wukong is strictly better than Grendel for all content that's relevant.

I feel like Brozime is really underselling Nezah's blazing chakrum ability. Sure its not as consistent a damage buff as roar, but the fact it can also heal and provide energy at the same time is what really makes it a steller ability. It allows Nezah when they also equip safeguard to really take on the role of a very good support frame.
Ash is underrated again. Seeking Shuriken is awesome for cheap armor stripping, Fatal Teleport oneshots pretty much everyone with the right weapon and build, Smoke Screen is cheap to cast, has a cool stun and invisibility is great for both stealth and for the damage multiplier, plus you can share it with teammates and select few NPCs with the augment, Bladestorm is pretty cheap to cast and it's much better now that it fully marks target (plus it's finisher damage which bypasses defenses) and the frame's passive is great (who doesn't want better and stronger bleed damage on a frame). He's also pretty tanky overall. Add the fact you can also make Marked for Death builds and / or do stuff with his kit like replacing fatal teleport with an aoe attack that opens tons of enemies to finishers like Rest and Rage , Radial Blind or Inaros's Pocket Sand and you got a pretty versatile frame where you can make dedicated builds for all four of his abilities and be viable.. Only thing the frame kinda lacks by default is a crowd control ability or aoe attack to let's say clear defense targets, but it's rather easy to either use an AOE weapon or use helminth to add a skill to fix this small flaw. Can't think of any other frame where you can fully dedicate a build to each of it's abilities and have it working in endgame scenarios, and the frame can pretty much do great in all existing content and mission types. Most frames have 1-2 filler abilties and are one trick ponies, sadly.
The only strong disagree here is Volt for me, putting him basically on the same tier as Loki (who is honestly basically a D offset by comparative ease of crafting) is really not giving him enough credit. I think he deserves being put on B rank between his 4 augment, general usability of 4 (even if it indeed could use some tweaks) and doing Valkyr things.
There are far too many design issues with Xaku for Helminth to carry her to an A-. Like come on. You’re rating her higher than Nidus, a frame that’s actually cohesively designed and functions off that design.
The thing about Xaku is you can just load into a mission, press 4, press 2, and congratulations you are now automatically killing enemies at full power. Maybe you press 3 if it's high-end Grineer. Your gun kata scales with enemy level and you strip all armor/shields, so your kill speed is exactly as fast no matter how high the enemies scale. Meanwhile Nidus is still working on getting Ravenous up and running, and even he eventually falls off in damage while you literally never stop.
@@yeoldpubman Agreed, people really tend to underestimate Xaku whilst overestimating far too many frames. Xaku (and Revenant) is probably the only frame that can survive and consistently kill level-cap enemies with their abilities alone.

@@yeoldpubman except you need 200% strength for the armor strip to be effective. As well as needing 200% range in order for her abilities to actually have effective range (especially her 2). That alone create very big annoyances in her kits overall design. Her survivability is garbage because DE didn’t learn from Titania that dodge chance is a terrible defense stat. And the fact that you need to turn to Helminth and abuse shield gating to try and patch that issue when it should’ve been fixed by DE is absurd. Also the fact that DE removed the ability to recast her 2 when guns are maxed AFTER the ability not being recastable was an initial issue is fucking ridiculous.
honestly i think octavia is fine. she's definitely easy mode with passive outgoing damage, taunt, and invisibility, but it's not like she's doing anything super amazing. she's kind of just a really good solo generalist because she's a one-man-band. i only really use her for open world bounties because there's a more efficient tool for any other single mission. scaling damage scales but that doesn't make it *fast*
If cold were changed to give other statuses increased duration (per each stack of it) along side it's current slow and MAYBE a scaling DoT since IRL the colder you get the less you are to continue living, I think it would be significantly better.
Some build tips: Nidus is very boring imo, but adding fireblast gives him armor strip and light cc, and healing flames makes it MORE useful than ravenous for quickly healing, it also gives him,another active ability Nyx's assimilate is slow, but you can use vial rush for free, no energy dashes. Reave is better however, because you can turn. This addition has really sped Nyx up, and makes her more fun, but also I fucking LOVE her new skin. It looks so good.
And rightly so. Those are the people who try to tell new players that their favorite frame is bad because that frame doesn't do content the game never asks you to do.
I main Inaros. Reason? I don’t embarrass myself and my boyfriend by dying all the time. 🤣 Trinity was my main before hand. I do admit I need to branch out more, but Inaros is my comfy security blanket.
Try wukong, he is pretty easy and tanky frame too. He got 2 panic button when you are in trouble (2 and 3). And even if you die he has 3 free insta respawn per mission. But his 2 makes you kinda lazy by removing the need of parkour xD. Give his clone explosive weapon like proboscis cernos or kuva bramma and you can even afk in lower level mission.
Everyone hating on Octavia making me laugh. I haven't played the game for like 6 months but when I did Octavia was my main, found her fun as hell. Redownloading the game rn, can't wait to punch aliens and play music
Lavos is so close to a B rank or beyond. The combo of Vial Rush jump cancel and Cedo alt-fire into Catalyze is great in my experience even with a no potato build.
Lavos can tackle steel path just fine. IMO he is a B frame but I guess my scales are way different from brozimes because I think with helminth that atlas is like B+
What the fuck? Revenant is at least A at worst considering his inability to die, effective use of dummies as distractions for objectives as well as obscene scaling damage on high levels with the use of viral, forgoing the synergy of the thralls and allowing for crowd murder.
Gara does the same job, but better. The fact that he loses a stack of Mesmer Skin every time he gets shot makes that ability very expensive since it will have to be casted much more often than other defensive abilities, and that's taking the absurdly long casting animation out of the equation. Thralls do pitiful damage and while they can be used as distractions, you can just kill everything within the vicinity anyway. And as for crowd murder: most warframes with higher ranking than Revenant can either kill faster, on larger scales, or more efficiently than him.
@@longps9528 Gara? Better? First of all they are completely different with different goals to achieve. Both Mesmer skin and Mass Vitrify has long cast animation but Natural talent exist. Enthralling means you can run over the enemies with Reave pretty much instakilling whatever it is but you can workaround that with viral. Also Enthrall works on bosses unlike Gara's abilities. Just move around and you have high kill per minute. Gara is either static or has a damaging ability which has smaller range than most melees so ... Sure Revenant is mostly a solo oriented frame but the sheer amount of defense he has with raw destructive powers is insane.
I don't understand how inaros can be an A Rank but Lavos is a C, while he is just an overall better frame. He has heal, high armor and health plus shield gate, not only that but he is able to buff every single melee weapon that goes condition overload by being able to spread a ton of status effects. On top of that he then also through those status effect have armor strip and cc. I think you are being to harsh on the frame for not killing things with his abilities and him actually just being a good solo frame, that can buff your allies dmg and his own, plus cc the shit out of everything in steel path. Sure his infuse elements to abilities could be much better, since you could be doing other things than holding down two buttons for half a year. Personally I have wanted cooldowns in the game since I started, since energy economy just makes the game go press one to kill and every minute press one and or two for buff.
I agree with most of these, but Wukong is still WAY too low (in my opinion). His 1 is excellent support, and if you give the clone a weapon like the Bramma, he can 360 no scope groups of enemies with infinite ammo and no knockback, his 2 is not only great for speed, but you didn’t mention that it also heals him extremely quickly, making him nigh on impossible to kill with his passive, which keeps him from dying for quite awhile. His 3 is pretty good for staying alive even further, albeit not super useful at higher levels, and his 4, while being not great, can be replaced with a helminth ability that helps him out. I feel he’s at least an A-
By judging and ranking Frames, one of the most , if not the most important criteria is in what type of mission and mode you actually intend to use it ,what must or has the Frame to offer to fullfill the minimum requirements to success ,and from there you go on and on

Wukong in my opinion is the best option if you don't want to die and you want to complete an objective quickly; cloud walker is great. Even though he is my favorite warframe, it's just cloud walker that keeps him afloat.

Cuts 100% of armor or 99% of it - also completely removes shields on contact. All are heat seeking attacks you give no effort to even use. Not even arguably the best strip skill in the game that costs next to no energy and no upkeep or effort. Controls the entire map and removes threats in one hit map wide. invincibility. Use melee to move fast like a machete archetype or a scythe. You can fit a fantastic build for all 3 skills in a single build worthy of steel path and generally all game content types. Nyx?gets a C. Can empower bullets with more damage,boost amp damage(no other frame does this as far as i'm aware),and be protected behind the bullet buffing wall. Movement speed buff that buffs melee. Can control several tiles with his 4 and puts everything in a stun lock while they die off while at the same time buffing allies with his augment. Volt gets a laughable C. Inaros? who has one of the worst kits in the entire game? A. Bruh.
It almost feels at this point like a tier list is starting to become irrelevant. Frames can easily change tiers with the right combination of mods and subsumed abilities, and in one mission type or another this or that frame might be the god-tier, while some like Baruuk are excellent at high levels but not lower levels. I guess props to DE for diversifying the content so much. Remember the Loki = Win days?
Agree with the message - what frames are best really depends on the mission and the build. You can make almost anything work. I don't think a tier list is irrelevant, however. I've always been an on and off Warframe player, someone who has never gotten even close to gathering all the frames. For someone like me, and newer players as well, these lists function as a good baseline for frames to target because we just can't get them all. At least not for a long while.
You know, Oberon has a special place in my heart. I actually posted an in depth rework on the forums. Among other things, reckoning refreshes hallowed ground and increases its range. Hallowed ground now gradually strips armor. Reckoning damage scales
Frost was great for me in thermia fractures. Put a bubble on it, put a bubble on me, started sporelacing the mobs in my safety bubble. It worked just fine. When I think of Gaara and Limbo doing the same thing I think of how they can't exactly defend themselves if they're keeping the barrier up. That said, Mesa just clears everything, so yes, mostly irrelevant. But two cents is two cents.
@@StarfieldDisarray They do - which would break the same barriers. As Frost, I can stay away from the pulse range in my bubble, run in and drop another when it's gone, then retreat back. Added benefit I keep myself spaced from the radiation.
@@dumbboyalex4396 I don't know how that's better than what Limbo can do. He can sit in rift outside of pulse range and re-apply 4 from distance instead of having to close in. I don't really think Limbo is good for fractures anyway but it is a bit odd to say Frost is better. It's pretty sad that they make a defense objective that actively disincentivizes using the defense objective warframes, only contributing to the offensive "best defense is kill" meta we're in.
@@StarfieldDisarray Agreed. I mostly say that it was good for me. Theoretically speaking in a 4 man squad yes, Limbo reapplying cataclysm from a distance and being safe forever is better. Though in my case, I was doing most of the damage, so rift would have slowed down kills/damage. That's why it was better for me. And yes, best defense is an infallible offense, that is what this game embodies when it tries to turn off warframe powers to shake things up
I keep seeing people complaining about Octavia being a "boring frame" But I've never been bored playing her. Maybe it's because I have good songs that are enjoyable to listen to while I run around shooting stuff while my abilities are running around
I have fun making songs with the Mandachord, but listening to the song in missions isn't gameplay. I can put any music on in the background no matter what frame I'm playing. I just find the crouch activation for her buffs annoying so I can't be bothered to play her or benefit from her when she's in the party. But I get that some people enjoy the summoner type of playstyle.
RIP Khora, she was my second main before I quit but LOS on the 1, jesus christ. I will say that I used resonator on Khora which was fairly decent at survivability without strangledoming every 5 seconds but big rip to the LOS on the 1.
The point you made about not having finishers available on equinox’s day form Right, but there’s literally an augment that keeps charge when you switch forms, so you can get finishers in night and switch to day. Day doesn’t need power strength, just range, and efficiency, so you can completely dump strength. Also, maim and rest aren’t the only useful abilities, you can play a support equinox, or a shield gating equinox, or a speed/rage equinox, or even a tank equinox. Simplifying equinox to just two of her 6 abilities is an absolute waste. Also want to mention that while frost isn’t the easiest for defense missions, he’s a dps god if you proc more than one viral status and use snowglobe. It does true damage, and will one shot any level enemy almost exactly like a true damage trinity would, but without needing a shit ton of power strength. You can put ensnare on him to get large groups of enemies, and fucking blow them up with a viral nukor plus snowglobe. He doesn’t deserve a D.
Thing is about octavia, she does an absurd amount of damage, she buffs stronger than anyone and can just afk in some missions, but she is made of wet toilet paper. "You could shield gate", "you can use op's healing abilities", or you can just use inaros and smash your head in the keyboard repeatedly.
I agree with this list except Inaros, I can't for the life of me see how a frame designed to be a health bar is more useful than any frame in B or even C tier.

i don't think chroma is overrated, he's just incredibly simple and boring, but if abilities stop working on enemies and you need something to die, you pick chroma and they die instantly
I've had some ideas for Loki...may freshen him up. Instead of switch teleport he could switch appearance with a targeted enemy. Thus the targeted enemy would appear as Loki and draw aggro for the duration of that enemies health pool? All abilities could perhaps build of invisibility which would be moved to his first ability alot and be made semi permanent via power drain or lose invisibility once Loki goes offensive? Instead of 1 decoy of low health a ring of decoys deploy from his current position and draw aggro until all are destroyed. That's all I got. If a frame isnt meta it should be at least fun in my opinion.
Okay. So. Garuda. I will say one thing, and that is quick thinking. Toss a couple of 3s down for energy and to get your damage buff to 100%, then your energy pool (which you have effectively infinite of thanks to her 3 and 2) also becomes effective health, equal to 240% of itself, which ends up being just around a thousand. Keep using your abilities, and maybe throw on a defy instead of her 4 (blood mirror gives ranged finishers, survivability, and very high burst damage. I personally find it more useful than seeking talons, but it can be replaced too) and you have even more survivability that can also lessen the pressure and let you move around to get out of tight spots whenever her healing and energy gen is being overwhelmed
You can tell which frames he doesn't play by how surface level his knowledge is about them. I said the same thing about his tier list last year. I only keep coming back to "see what he's wrong about this time". I mean, the man got Grendel in B tier lmao.
Going to have to counter your point; Lavos is a powerful frame but it requires utilizing his systems properly to make the most of it. Catalyze has a condition overload effect on it. The more conditions enemies have the more damage it does. His tankiness also makes him wonderful for Steel Path. In fact his design almost makes it obvious he's been designed for the Steel Path in mind. The length of Catalyze CD is also easily mitigated by proper use of Transmutation probe. Essentially, Lavos makes it easy to inflict multiple conditions on enemies and I would say putting power strength on him is actually a waste, again due to the fact Catalyze benefits from its own version of condition overload much like Lavos weapon, the Cedo does. So I strongly disagree with your C ranking for this frame. Easily a B or B+. He has a steep curve understanding him decently, and I think he needs a few tweaks, but over all more than solid for any content.
@@dyspnoe586 Yea I agree, i am just giving him a B+ in general because he does have a bit of a learning curve and if people are just use to one button wonder frames he seems weak if not completely useless. I also forgot to add that he is also ignores enemies that typically shut frames down, like nullifies, leeches, and that one stalker that will deactivate your abilities for instance. There is actually very little that can bother a decently specced Lavos and if you twink him hard is is practically unstoppable.
Ranks/Tier lists will always be debatable of course, but I think you went waaay too easy on Excalibur and Valkyr. Their entire kit at this point is their 2. And... You can get that entire kit through helminth system. Sooo... Lets say I like radial blind and melee. Do I play Excalibur? Well, exalted blade isn't better than regular melee, and I can literally put radial blind on any warframe. So what's his/their purpose? Put Radial Blind on any other warframe, use a great melee weapon and you will be infinitely better off than using Excalibur.
As a harrow main i feel he should be at least B since he can do many things pretty well as well as being able to support its team which is nothing to scoff at and i understand that he needs to fight his team constantly to apply its energy/health recovery, plus he can run pillage or condemn depending on the mission type which synergises with his 2, i also feel warframes should be tiered of how can they perform in EVERY mission type rather than anything where killing is a priority even if damage is still the meta, anyway the tier list is ok but i think harrow got really overshadowed on his performance even tho i can agree he can be a pain to use for people who are unaware of how he functions but this is just an opinion
Examples of what i mean: -Xaku and Loki being able to disarm bombarders or heavy units makes them easier to deal with them -Vauban can lock an entire area and his bastille strips armor which combined with his dps orbs and tesla bank can do pretty well since they arent affected by nullifiers -Aoe weapons do wonders for CC focused warframes. CC is no longer the meta but i think its still viable as long as you dont have to kill everything or they have synergy with the warframe itself (like nidus's larva making it easier to build stacks or limbo's cataclysm+stasis combination) Plus things like the glaive prime and the bramma kuva exist if you need to do damage

Thanks for the list. I really don’t think Ember deserves an A- for being in the state she’s in. You have to spam her 4 to do damage so you won’t really be using her 1, her 2 is way too inefficient to be effective and her 3 despite sounding decent doesn’t seem to really do anything.
She’s just honestly a one trick pony. Good for nuking low level enemies and that’s about it. Anything over level 50 and she starts to struggle which is kind of a bummer because she can be a breath of fresh air from Saryn or Mesa. But she just can’t kill like they can

Unfortunately how fun they are to play isn’t factored in the scoring. If it was Octavia would be way lower. Imagine a frame where to refresh an ability you aren’t just needing to press a key when the timer runs out but need to keep spamming, and imagine having not 1 but like 4 of these that you have to maintain.

It's all relative though. Some warframes will ALWAYS be lower than others. Even if they boosted the lower warframes, it would decrease certain others by necessity
I’m relatively a young Tenno. I’ve only got 1000 hours played but almost all of my clan mates are rank 29 or 30. My buddy told me that it’s not that the frames are bad, just so outdated that you might as well not use them. Frost is just completely outclassed by newer frames like Gara. Oberon is really only good for really low level content. Nekros despite being good needs an augment (two depending on your style) as well as numerous other mods. There’s very few ways you can build Nekros. You build him to stay alive and that’s really it.
Inaros? Complete and utter dog shit trash. “He never dies” neither does Rhino if you’re paying attention.

@@JustSendMeLocationPlease No, not really. There are a lot more ways to replenish health, you'll have to be afk to run out. Not even that will do you in, with certain arcanes.
Iron Skin, on the other hand, can be stripped in a moment by, say, nullifier bubble poking through the floor, that you had no way of anticipating or dealing with. The only advantage of iron skin is immunity to status effects while it lasts, those can be annoying as fuck.
Inaros can do that as well with an augment, though.

Edit: Just a fun little niche use I found for Titania is that she's actually surprisingly good at soloing the Isolation Vaults down on Deimos, as her Razorwing makes killing the Necramechs hilariously easy, and her one helps keep enemies off of Loid.
Ive found titania in a nieche ive been using personally. Full range and duration with lantern
with lantern u zoop up enemies in a 50m~ radius and after watching youtube for a minute you just melee to one shot all the enemies that coagulated around the lanterns.
Note that u'll wanna throw in a redirection tho as enemy ai occasionally breaks and the charmed enemies can shoot a bullet or two from time to time
Titania is also really good at Index. (Preferably solo)
Titania can do just about everything amazingly, with a specialized build. Also a tip. Using the ammo efficiency ability from helminth to replace her 3, then using razorwing blitz with 199% power strength, an arcane to increase rate of fire, and lethal torrent.. it makes her able to burst down eidolon limbs effortlessly.
If you want to kill Necramechs, use Voidrig Necramech.
Does not make you play any specific frame and definitely kills them faster than titania does.

Nyx to frost : you’ve merely adopted the D tier. I was born in it,molded by it. I didn’t see any usage until I was already primed.
Nyx was actually super desirable in squad compositions before her Prime dropped, back when the game was much more centered on crowd control powers because "nuking" abilities fell off much sooner than weapon damage. And it was a better game back then, imo.
I'll always have a soft spot for Nyx. She was the first Frame I farmed when I was a brand new player and was like, "Mind control the enemies!? Yes please! That's my kind of play style!" I still use her sometimes too just for funsies. She does take some of the pressure off in some group contexts, so she's not completely useless in my eyes. Her big crowd control ability is basically only useful to give the team, like, literally one second to stop the enemies from dealing damage while everyone reloads, or longer if they need to take a minute to just have a chill moment. Then the board is wiped clean and the next group of enemies on their death march spawns and are insta-nuked. ☺️
My tip on how to play Hydroid: replace his 1 with Volt’s shock. This isn’t particularly effective, but shooting lighting at things as a puddle is very amusing.

As I said a year ago, even if a frame isn’t ranked amongst the “best of the best”, it can still be highly effective in the hands of skilled players.
Do no feel discouraged if your favorite is ranked low. You’re the one who makes it great.
This is really important to note for sure, especially for new players. Brozime's rankings are barely considered based in empirical data in the first place, but what he takes into account the most is simply the ease of use of each frame; he really only cares if a frame either benefits the party at large all at one time or if the frame can scale with the content (which is really just about which warframes make those two things the easiest to accomplish at any given time). That being said, several frames on this list can be bumped up or down solely based on how people play them, let alone how they are built and all of this completely ignores the idea of weapons that aren't part of warframe abilities, so you can really pretty much play just about anything and accomplish your goals in game for the most part as long as you are adapting well to the challenges that the game throws at you.
You only need a decent melee, some way to generate sheilds, and rolling guard, congratulations, you're nearly unkillable and output more than sufficient damage

@@darthgiorgi4990 It's not that her farm is bad compared to Harrow, Nidus, Gauss, Grendel, Khora and Protea because all of those frames have much worse part farm than Octavia.
1. You can get one part from the music puzzle on lua which literally takes maybe 30 seconds and drops the part 100%.
2. Second part has a chance to drop from Lua sabotage lockers, agrees this might take a while but you can absolutely speed run this and make the farm quicker.
3. Her last part drops from derelict survival rotation C which is just abyssmal I agree but thats the only thing making her farm "bad" otherwise she is easier to get than a lot other frames.
What makes her so rarely played is that she simply is not fun to play even despite having brokenly strong abilities. Guess what, players dont just play frames who are OP because they are OP, but the fun factor is so important too. Otherwise she would be played the most.

Frost still has really good armor and it’s not that he’s bad, just outdated. Before Gara and Khora he was the go to for everybody in defense missions. He’s not bad. It’s just that so many better frames have come out in the past several years.

I know this video is old but figure I'll say my piece to someone who knows limbo. I really feel like him being at c is inaccurate. He should at least be an A-. Sure as a solo frame he is gimmicky, but as a support? There are few frames better then limbo giving his entire party unlimited energy and infinite revives because limbo is borderline unkillable if he wants to be.
If you're playing solo, you can just press this key on the keyboard known as "ESC". Believe it or not, it will pause the game for you BUT WAIT! that also means you won't die and you can do whatever you want, come back whenever you please. I know, it's fucking crazy.
Mag's 1 is worse than her 3. I don't know why you wouldn't replace that instead. Considering that Polarize is a near instant cast and can be used to reset shieldgates on sentinels, it's VASTLY more useful than Pull, even with the Greedy Pull augment.
Also, the augment for that power is nice. I always get rid of her 1 with other skills from Helminth.

That's an incredibly useful thing to have, especially if there aren't a lot of enemies around. If you're in a situation where you're fighting 1 tough enemy (e.g. a boss), casting her 4 wouldn't grant you a lot of shields, since it grants shields per enemy hit. Her 3 however always restores the same amount. It just doesn't grant overshields. But you don't need overshields to reset a shieldgate.
I feel like over the years warframe has power creeped to point that it's just hard to have interesting abilities that require set up or do a specific utility thing because if it doesn't do insane damage, nuke a room, hard cc everything or make you near immortal it just doesn't compete. If it requires set up time the enemies are already dead if you are in a group.
I'm very sad about Harrow. I love his design and his aesthetics but he kinda sucks at what he wants to do.

Harrow is 'fine', any Warframe that can give you a 200% affinity buff and endless energy won't be awful.
That said; Harrow's very slow, frail, and requires a lot of careful play and setup to work at anything sortie-level or higher.
I honestly feel he’s an awesome solo frame especially if you build him for the destructive capability of his fourth with constant energy and healing and crowd control. That being said when is a random squad... yeah it’s not that great 😕
Harrow's great at what he wants to do. It's just what he wants to do just doesn't mesh with Warframe. It's the classic Gears of Warframe vs Warframe Musou dilemma that permeates other poorly designed aspects of the game.

I've been playing her almost exclusively over the past few months and I can tell you why nobody plays her.
Her DMG is passive. Your Mallet has to be attacked by the mobs to reflect dmg, thus wiping out the entire map with almost zero problems. Metronome stealth and you can camp survival like no tomorrow, maybe whip out your gun to bring down priority targets (Arbitration Shield Drones for example) and you're golden. Organized teams can be very efficient that way. Hint: Resonator can be detrimental when you've found a good spot to pitch your tent. Downside is: To be efficient, you have to adopt a rather passive playstyle. Find a campsite, throw your Mallet, slap down Amp and Metronome, cloak and watch the mayhem ensue. Refresh 1, 3, 4, bullet jump through the gravy-loot-field and back, rinse, repeat.
Reality Check:
In Public you almost always have at least one "ChadThundergun", Legendary 394785 MR, shooting his Kuvalich-BFG once and clearing the screen/room, dealing 95%+ Team-DMG (slight exaggeration, 70%+ aren't uncommon, though) , running through the level like Speedy Gonzales on amphetamines. The Mission End screen shows Octavia with DMG in the single digits (Mallet can't kill things that do not attack it because they DED). Resonator-Mallet isn't a help either, it still has to be attacked to reflect anything and it is far too slow to keep up with a bullet jumping Tenno. Metronome is still useful for Offensive and Defensive purposes, but ChadThundergun profits from the buffs as well, scaling far better thanks to his BFG. Amp loses out hard, as it's a stationary Buff-field, which makes this skill pretty much useless, unless you can camp somewhere. Sure, if you have your own BFG you can keep up, but by that time you can choose whatever Frame you fancy.
Honestly its for this reason why I'd say that Gauss is actually one of the best frames in the game right now and deserves to be A+. The current meta is about running around like a lunatic spamming massively powerful AOE weapons and not dying, the things Gauss absolutely excels at.
The only bad thing with Octavia is the physical aspect of spamming the buff gains, i used to main her but I had to stop just from discomfort in my fingers after a while. I also moved over to Wisp, she is just fun to play and gives me the support feel I require.
If Octavia wasn't hideous and didn't break my controller with the crouch spamming I would use her a lot more.

I think Vauban was judged too harsh honestly. Flechette & Strike both scale with enemy level insanely well.
You can 1-shot Steel Path Corpus with Orbital, & Flechette still shreds all 3 main factions.
The Armour strip from his 4 isn't insanely fast but I have never once found a situation where you need to fully strip anyway. 1 Flechette alone will kill everything inside his before it gets fully stripped, not even requiring all 4 be dropped.
His Durations are long & replacing his Tesla Nervos with either Dispensary or Pillage solves the survivability issues in Steel Path as well.
His passive also granting bonus damage to any enemy in his crowd controls is just more icing in the cake.
With a build of 105% Duration, 175% Efficiency, 145% Range & 166% Strength I honestly think Vauban deserves an A or A- Rank with Xaku. He's the only Warframe I felt was unfairly judged on this list.
Period honestly he's always given Vauban a low rank sometimes its deserved and sometimes its not, this time and the last time he ranked Vauban he got it completely wrong.

As for this being his opinion, yes some ratings do fall short due to bias or ignorance (say Inaros, Mag, and so on), but more often than not they're facts in relation to his rating system. And I'd argue that the rating system is what is his opinion, the way he sees bad frames vs good frames.
Eclipse seriously needs the two effects on tap/hold instead of the stupid, ancient area lighting thing. I never have the damage buff when I want it, or the damage reduction when I need it.

My only things with Octavia and why I don't play her:
-The tie of your music track to how effective your abilities are is concerning since good music =/= optimal tempo, and should probably be disconnected.
-Energy economy. While it can be fine at times, if you're not near allies casting abilities to get a bit of energy back, the cost of keeping 3 abilities up all the time for those who aren't lucky enough for certain specific mod drops can mean you're going feast and famine for what feels like her kit turning on and being fun, from no energy to all of it.
-The abilities having such different duration lengths makes it a bit awkward to keep everything going when in 3 seconds, one thing needs recast, and in 10 seconds after that, ANOTHER thing needs recast, then literally the next second, the first thing needs recast. Hard to actually keep up a tempo when balancing 3 different timers that aren't equal duration on a frame all about music and tempo.
There's a niche use for Loki that didn't get mentioned: Railjack. If paired with Helminth's Perspicacity (replace Decoy or Switch Teleport), the Irradiating Disarm augment, enough range, and a good melee weapon; a Loki can A: board and destroy a crewship in under 15 seconds (not counting travel time), B: Board and hijack a Crewship with minimal fuss, C: completely neuter incoming boarding parties, and D: manage secondary objectives like bases and galleons with near-zero effort.
This works because Railjack enemies are _extremely tanky_ . Even sortie level gear takes entirely too many shots to down them, so the usual answer to this nonsense (Mesa) actually ends up being suboptimal, since Peacemaker roots you in place, and you can end up getting flanked and-or swarmed.
Outside of boarding parties and captain assassinations, you typically don't actually need to _kill_ foes, just _bypass_ them, so DPS isn't important, avoidance _is_ . And that's where Loki shines.

all frames are viable in any content, it just depends on who you like playing as and what you’re play style is. if you’re a new player, DO NOT use these tier videos as a shopping list. i did that a few years ago and ended up with a bunch of frames that i absolutely hate playing. loki was “s” class back then, and i thought, oh, well then i guess i’ll get him first; it was an absolute shit show. i’m sure he is/was great for many other players, but it’s all subjective, i still don’t like using loki to this day lol
stick to frames that cater more towards your play style(tank, melee, ranged, support, etc) and then branch out a bit when you see something that you think might appeal to you; don’t just go to a tier list and base your entire loadout based off of them. watch videos that show you the frame’s abilities and see if you think that’s what you think looks cool or would be fun to use/play.

This tier list has just made me recognize how many new warframes over the years have just taken the place of older warframes in their original niches, leaving them to dry.

@@DevvyDovey actually, unless you’re in open world or something, the map doesn’t matter. Plus the kuva nukor makes it very easy to apply viral. I could also say what you said for frost and tag it onto Gara instead. It takes a very long time to build up the damage and maintaining it is very annoying. Even if you are committed and have a riven it’s still gonna take a while.
IMO Gara is best played with max range. Is it good? I’ll let you decide. Is it funny? It is *very* funny.

This tier list is very subjective and made for those who don't fully understand some of the warframes and made obviously for those hydron warriors.
As a veteran that play mostly casually lately, I agree with about 70% of this video. You can see there is some bias, there is a particular playstyle that affected these rankings, it's very meta dependent and I would word some things differently, but I largely agree.
I agree that Octavia is overpowered and doesn't get the S tier simply because she's boring to use. Loki is in the downfall of his life time. Grendel need just a tiny push and he can be amazing. Frost and Nyx are D tier, I couldn't make any arguments about Frost even though he's my most used warframe in the game. Heck, I would put Frost at E for another reason that wasn't mentioned in the video. Things like that.
I also think Zephyr is much better than C and she belongs at B+. Lavos have flaws and is yet to be updated from his release state, but I think he's also better than C. While I agree that Xaku belongs to A-, I think it's for other reasons. There are probubly more.
@@FrostedMike I think that there is defiently bias. But you said frost as E. He is an awesome CC and though in endgame his 4th will not kill it is the most immediate armor strip aside from xaku but this plays both CC and the strip and thank you, someone who realizes the potential of Grendel. And Nyx along with loki is one of the best alternating CCs having some of the furthest ranges and good ability.
@@graysonnorman1785 My reason for Frost at E is not for how he manages in game, but how he's designed. Freeze, Ice Wave and Avalanche do almost the exact same thing (having similar results but in different scales). Why would I use Freeze if Ice Wave does the same but better? Why would I use Ice Wave is Avalanche does the same but better? Energy cost is not an excuse as these day it's not much of a problem to get energy. Frost simply have an ability that is streight up a better version of other two abilities he have. Even Snow Globe which used to be the best defensive ability in the game is outdated when 80% of the entire game either doesn't have an objective to defend or the objective is moving, which means Frost is too buisy chasing an operative that doesn't want to be defended. I also found myself fixing Snow Globe too much.
If we talk how he manages in practice, I think he's D or C. He got some nice gimics but they simply fall short compared to other warframes. I put him lower for design issues which limits his potential.
I thought just like you before I he reached Frost and I was also surprised like you. Frost is one of my favorate warframes out there, but even I couldn't make arguments in his favor when I decided to consider it.
I tried to give Nyx a lot of chances but I just couldn't stand in high level missions. It might just be me though. Loki is useful and got himself some stuff, the thing is the meta is not in his favor and CC just becomes less relevant. Loki is my go to warframe in spy missions, but I found myself playing Loki only when I need to remain undetected. If it was a tier list ranking by design, I would put Loki at S because he captures the deception theme amazingly and because there is a use for all of his abilities.
Every "tier list" is an opinion at the end and bias is just natural to be a factor, but when it is also affected by a specific playstyle then something is wrong. It's up to us to agree or disagree.
lavos just flat out needs efficiency reducing his cooldowns in the same way it would reduce energy, so basically for him to be able to cut all cooldowns to only 25%.

BUT if all cooldowns would just be reduced I gladly restructure my build to have 7.5 seconds on his ult at all times.
So the New stats are out and Inaros is interesting. Among high-level players, he is the most used warframe. However, among total users, he's 14th. On another note, The most popular among all users is Wukong prime. It's a decent margin at 7.5% with Mesa in second at 5.27%. Wukong Prime is also second most used among high-level players at 7.37% and is just 0.11% behind Inaros who is 7.58%.
I think this is a really decent list and the grading changes make a lot of sense. Despite that I think two frames are quite a bit off here:
If Inaros is A just for being tanky (with only 2 real abilities both of which help him be tanky) and Xaku is A-, then Hildryn and Wukong need to be higher.
Hildryn's 3 enables Blazing Pillage, which does great AoE damage and CC even to high-level enemies (making it way better than the infused version) and synergizes well with Elemental Ward (lightning) , Breach Surge, and CO. Her 3 is also a decent support ability due to shield gating.
Wukong is really good if you abuse his twin. Give the twin a Kuva Nukor for priming and use a CO melee weapon yourself and watch even the tankiest Steel Path enemies melt. What really annoys me is that Brozime's favorites (Mesa, Gara, Protea, Wisp) all have one garbage ability but now it even counts as a positive. But for Wukong instead of just replacing his 4 with Roar, Elemental Ward, Warcry, etc. it is somehow still a huge negative, which makes no sense. I'd say Wukong is strictly better than Grendel for all content that's relevant.

I feel like Brozime is really underselling Nezah's blazing chakrum ability. Sure its not as consistent a damage buff as roar, but the fact it can also heal and provide energy at the same time is what really makes it a steller ability. It allows Nezah when they also equip safeguard to really take on the role of a very good support frame.
Ash is underrated again. Seeking Shuriken is awesome for cheap armor stripping, Fatal Teleport oneshots pretty much everyone with the right weapon and build, Smoke Screen is cheap to cast, has a cool stun and invisibility is great for both stealth and for the damage multiplier, plus you can share it with teammates and select few NPCs with the augment, Bladestorm is pretty cheap to cast and it's much better now that it fully marks target (plus it's finisher damage which bypasses defenses) and the frame's passive is great (who doesn't want better and stronger bleed damage on a frame). He's also pretty tanky overall. Add the fact you can also make Marked for Death builds and / or do stuff with his kit like replacing fatal teleport with an aoe attack that opens tons of enemies to finishers like Rest and Rage , Radial Blind or Inaros's Pocket Sand and you got a pretty versatile frame where you can make dedicated builds for all four of his abilities and be viable.. Only thing the frame kinda lacks by default is a crowd control ability or aoe attack to let's say clear defense targets, but it's rather easy to either use an AOE weapon or use helminth to add a skill to fix this small flaw. Can't think of any other frame where you can fully dedicate a build to each of it's abilities and have it working in endgame scenarios, and the frame can pretty much do great in all existing content and mission types. Most frames have 1-2 filler abilties and are one trick ponies, sadly.

The only strong disagree here is Volt for me, putting him basically on the same tier as Loki (who is honestly basically a D offset by comparative ease of crafting) is really not giving him enough credit. There are far too many design issues with Xaku for Helminth to carry her to an A-. Like come on. You’re rating her higher than Nidus, a frame that’s actually cohesively designed and functions off that design.
The thing about Xaku is you can just load into a mission, press 4, press 2, and congratulations you are now automatically killing enemies at full power. Maybe you press 3 if it's high-end Grineer. Your gun kata scales with enemy level and you strip all armor/shields, so your kill speed is exactly as fast no matter how high the enemies scale. Meanwhile Nidus is still working on getting Ravenous up and running, and even he eventually falls off in damage while you literally never stop.
@@yeoldpubman Agreed, people really tend to underestimate Xaku whilst overestimating far too many frames. Xaku (and Revenant) is probably the only frame that can survive and consistently kill level-cap enemies with their abilities alone.

@@yeoldpubman except you need 200% strength for the armor strip to be effective. As well as needing 200% range in order for her abilities to actually have effective range (especially her 2). That alone create very big annoyances in her kits overall design. Her survivability is garbage because DE didn’t learn from Titania that dodge chance is a terrible defense stat. And the fact that you need to turn to Helminth and abuse shield gating to try and patch that issue when it should’ve been fixed by DE is absurd.
Also the fact that DE removed the ability to recast her 2 when guns are maxed AFTER the ability not being recastable was an initial issue is fucking ridiculous.
Perhaps there should be a separate rank for Helminth builds vs base

honestly i think octavia is fine. she's definitely easy mode with passive outgoing damage, taunt, and invisibility, but it's not like she's doing anything super amazing. she's kind of just a really good solo generalist because she's a one-man-band. i only really use her for open world bounties because there's a more efficient tool for any other single mission. scaling damage scales but that doesn't make it *fast*
Build infinite duration and range and literally have to do nothing
If cold were changed to give other statuses increased duration (per each stack of it) along side it's current slow and MAYBE a scaling DoT since IRL the colder you get the less you are to continue living, I think it would be significantly better.
Some build tips:
Nidus is very boring imo, but adding fireblast gives him armor strip and light cc, and healing flames makes it MORE useful than ravenous for quickly healing, it also gives him,another active ability
Nyx's assimilate is slow, but you can use vial rush for free, no energy dashes. Reave is better however, because you can turn. This addition has really sped Nyx up, and makes her more fun, but also I fucking LOVE her new skin. It looks so good.

Try wukong, he is pretty easy and tanky frame too. He got 2 panic button when you are in trouble (2 and 3). And even if you die he has 3 free insta respawn per mission. But his 2 makes you kinda lazy by removing the need of parkour xD. Give his clone explosive weapon like proboscis cernos or kuva bramma and you can even afk in lower level mission.

Lavos is so close to a B rank or beyond. The combo of Vial Rush jump cancel and Cedo alt-fire into Catalyze is great in my experience even with a no potato build.
Lavos can tackle steel path just fine. IMO he is a B frame but I guess my scales are way different from brozimes because I think with helminth that atlas is like B+
What the fuck? Revenant is at least A at worst considering his inability to die, effective use of dummies as distractions for objectives as well as obscene scaling damage on high levels with the use of viral, forgoing the synergy of the thralls and allowing for crowd murder.
Gara does the same job, but better. The fact that he loses a stack of Mesmer Skin every time he gets shot makes that ability very expensive since it will have to be casted much more often than other defensive abilities, and that's taking the absurdly long casting animation out of the equation. Thralls do pitiful damage and while they can be used as distractions, you can just kill everything within the vicinity anyway. And as for crowd murder: most warframes with higher ranking than Revenant can either kill faster, on larger scales, or more efficiently than him.

Both Mesmer skin and Mass Vitrify has long cast animation but Natural talent exist.
Enthralling means you can run over the enemies with Reave pretty much instakilling whatever it is but you can workaround that with viral. Also Enthrall works on bosses unlike Gara's abilities.
Just move around and you have high kill per minute. Gara is either static or has a damaging ability which has smaller range than most melees so ...
Sure Revenant is mostly a solo oriented frame but the sheer amount of defense he has with raw destructive powers is insane.
I don't understand how inaros can be an A Rank but Lavos is a C, while he is just an overall better frame. He has heal, high armor and health plus shield gate, not only that but he is able to buff every single melee weapon that goes condition overload by being able to spread a ton of status effects. On top of that he then also through those status effect have armor strip and cc. I think you are being to harsh on the frame for not killing things with his abilities and him actually just being a good solo frame, that can buff your allies dmg and his own, plus cc the shit out of everything in steel path. Sure his infuse elements to abilities could be much better, since you could be doing other things than holding down two buttons for half a year.
Personally I have wanted cooldowns in the game since I started, since energy economy just makes the game go press one to kill and every minute press one and or two for buff.

I agree with most of these, but Wukong is still WAY too low (in my opinion). His 1 is excellent support, and if you give the clone a weapon like the Bramma, he can 360 no scope groups of enemies with infinite ammo and no knockback, his 2 is not only great for speed, but you didn’t mention that it also heals him extremely quickly, making him nigh on impossible to kill with his passive, which keeps him from dying for quite awhile. His 3 is pretty good for staying alive even further, albeit not super useful at higher levels, and his 4, while being not great, can be replaced with a helminth ability that helps him out. I feel he’s at least an A-
By judging and ranking Frames, one of the most , if not the most important criteria is in what type of mission and mode you actually intend to use it ,what must or has the Frame to offer to fullfill the minimum requirements to success ,and from there you go on and on

Wukong in my opinion is the best option if you don't want to die and you want to complete an objective quickly; cloud walker is great. Even though he is my favorite warframe, it's just cloud walker that keeps him afloat.

It almost feels at this point like a tier list is starting to become irrelevant. Frames can easily change tiers with the right combination of mods and subsumed abilities, and in one mission type or another this or that frame might be the god-tier, while some like Baruuk are excellent at high levels but not lower levels. I guess props to DE for diversifying the content so much. Remember the Loki = Win days?
Agree with the message - what frames are best really depends on the mission and the build. You can make almost anything work.
I don't think a tier list is irrelevant, however. I've always been an on and off Warframe player, someone who has never gotten even close to gathering all the frames. For someone like me, and newer players as well, these lists function as a good baseline for frames to target because we just can't get them all. At least not for a long while.
You know, Oberon has a special place in my heart. I actually posted an in depth rework on the forums. Among other things, reckoning refreshes hallowed ground and increases its range. Hallowed ground now gradually strips armor. Reckoning damage scales

Frost was great for me in thermia fractures. Put a bubble on it, put a bubble on me, started sporelacing the mobs in my safety bubble. It worked just fine. When I think of Gaara and Limbo doing the same thing I think of how they can't exactly defend themselves if they're keeping the barrier up.
That said, Mesa just clears everything, so yes, mostly irrelevant. But two cents is two cents.

@@StarfieldDisarray They do - which would break the same barriers. As Frost, I can stay away from the pulse range in my bubble, run in and drop another when it's gone, then retreat back. Added benefit I keep myself spaced from the radiation.
@@dumbboyalex4396 I don't know how that's better than what Limbo can do. He can sit in rift outside of pulse range and re-apply 4 from distance instead of having to close in. I don't really think Limbo is good for fractures anyway but it is a bit odd to say Frost is better.
It's pretty sad that they make a defense objective that actively disincentivizes using the defense objective warframes, only contributing to the offensive "best defense is kill" meta we're in.
@@StarfieldDisarray Agreed. I mostly say that it was good for me. Theoretically speaking in a 4 man squad yes, Limbo reapplying cataclysm from a distance and being safe forever is better. Though in my case, I was doing most of the damage, so rift would have slowed down kills/damage. That's why it was better for me.
And yes, best defense is an infallible offense, that is what this game embodies when it tries to turn off warframe powers to shake things up
I keep seeing people complaining about Octavia being a "boring frame" But I've never been bored playing her. Maybe it's because I have good songs that are enjoyable to listen to while I run around shooting stuff while my abilities are running around
I have fun making songs with the Mandachord, but listening to the song in missions isn't gameplay. I can put any music on in the background no matter what frame I'm playing. I just find the crouch activation for her buffs annoying so I can't be bothered to play her or benefit from her when she's in the party. But I get that some people enjoy the summoner type of playstyle.

RIP Khora, she was my second main before I quit but LOS on the 1, jesus christ. I will say that I used resonator on Khora which was fairly decent at survivability without strangledoming every 5 seconds but big rip to the LOS on the 1.

Right, but there’s literally an augment that keeps charge when you switch forms, so you can get finishers in night and switch to day. Day doesn’t need power strength, just range, and efficiency, so you can completely dump strength.
Also, maim and rest aren’t the only useful abilities, you can play a support equinox, or a shield gating equinox, or a speed/rage equinox, or even a tank equinox. Simplifying equinox to just two of her 6 abilities is an absolute waste.
Also want to mention that while frost isn’t the easiest for defense missions, he’s a dps god if you proc more than one viral status and use snowglobe. It does true damage, and will one shot any level enemy almost exactly like a true damage trinity would, but without needing a shit ton of power strength. You can put ensnare on him to get large groups of enemies, and fucking blow them up with a viral nukor plus snowglobe. He doesn’t deserve a D.
I simplified Equinox to her good builds
Thing is about octavia, she does an absurd amount of damage, she buffs stronger than anyone and can just afk in some missions, but she is made of wet toilet paper. "You could shield gate", "you can use op's healing abilities", or you can just use inaros and smash your head in the keyboard repeatedly.
I agree with this list except Inaros, I can't for the life of me see how a frame designed to be a health bar is more useful than any frame in B or even C tier.

i don't think chroma is overrated, he's just incredibly simple and boring, but if abilities stop working on enemies and you need something to die, you pick chroma and they die instantly
I've had some ideas for Loki...may freshen him up. Instead of switch teleport he could switch appearance with a targeted enemy. Thus the targeted enemy would appear as Loki and draw aggro for the duration of that enemies health pool? All abilities could perhaps build of invisibility which would be moved to his first ability alot and be made semi permanent via power drain or lose invisibility once Loki goes offensive? Instead of 1 decoy of low health a ring of decoys deploy from his current position and draw aggro until all are destroyed. That's all I got. If a frame isnt meta it should be at least fun in my opinion.
Okay. So. Garuda. I will say one thing, and that is quick thinking. Toss a couple of 3s down for energy and to get your damage buff to 100%, then your energy pool (which you have effectively infinite of thanks to her 3 and 2) also becomes effective health, equal to 240% of itself, which ends up being just around a thousand. Keep using your abilities, and maybe throw on a defy instead of her 4 (blood mirror gives ranged finishers, survivability, and very high burst damage. I personally find it more useful than seeking talons, but it can be replaced too) and you have even more survivability that can also lessen the pressure and let you move around to get out of tight spots whenever her healing and energy gen is being overwhelmed

You can tell which frames he doesn't play by how surface level his knowledge is about them. I said the same thing about his tier list last year. I only keep coming back to "see what he's wrong about this time". I mean, the man got Grendel in B tier lmao.
Going to have to counter your point; Lavos is a powerful frame but it requires utilizing his systems properly to make the most of it. Catalyze has a condition overload effect on it. The more conditions enemies have the more damage it does. His tankiness also makes him wonderful for Steel Path. In fact his design almost makes it obvious he's been designed for the Steel Path in mind. The length of Catalyze CD is also easily mitigated by proper use of Transmutation probe.
Essentially, Lavos makes it easy to inflict multiple conditions on enemies and I would say putting power strength on him is actually a waste, again due to the fact Catalyze benefits from its own version of condition overload much like Lavos weapon, the Cedo does. So I strongly disagree with your C ranking for this frame. Easily a B or B+. He has a steep curve understanding him decently, and I think he needs a few tweaks, but over all more than solid for any content.

I also forgot to add that he is also ignores enemies that typically shut frames down, like nullifies, leeches, and that one stalker that will deactivate your abilities for instance. There is actually very little that can bother a decently specced Lavos and if you twink him hard is is practically unstoppable.
Ranks/Tier lists will always be debatable of course, but I think you went waaay too easy on Excalibur and Valkyr. Their entire kit at this point is their 2. And... You can get that entire kit through helminth system. Sooo... Lets say I like radial blind and melee. Do I play Excalibur? Well, exalted blade isn't better than regular melee, and I can literally put radial blind on any warframe. So what's his/their purpose? Put Radial Blind on any other warframe, use a great melee weapon and you will be infinitely better off than using Excalibur.

As a harrow main i feel he should be at least B since he can do many things pretty well as well as being able to support its team which is nothing to scoff at and i understand that he needs to fight his team constantly to apply its energy/health recovery, plus he can run pillage or condemn depending on the mission type which synergises with his 2, i also feel warframes should be tiered of how can they perform in EVERY mission type rather than anything where killing is a priority even if damage is still the meta, anyway the tier list is ok but i think harrow got really overshadowed on his performance even tho i can agree he can be a pain to use for people who are unaware of how he functions but this is just an opinion
Examples of what i mean:
-Xaku and Loki being able to disarm bombarders or heavy units makes them easier to deal with them
-Vauban can lock an entire area and his bastille strips armor which combined with his dps orbs and tesla bank can do pretty well since they arent affected by nullifiers
-Aoe weapons do wonders for CC focused warframes.
CC is no longer the meta but i think its still viable as long as you dont have to kill everything or they have synergy with the warframe itself (like nidus's larva making it easier to build stacks or limbo's cataclysm+stasis combination)
Plus things like the glaive prime and the bramma kuva exist if you need to do damage
