I happen to own a 2010 GT.Its a 4.6 3-valve and I couldn't be happier with it. Kooks long tube headers,Kooks catted X-pipe,flowmaster axle back exhaust and JLT cold air intake. Of course I love the 5.0 coyote engines but the 3 valves aren't bad at ALL! So many options available for the 4.6 that you can turn it into a real monster if need be!
Just for comparison, i had 2005 mustang which i used for 8 years after i mod i just saved up money in 3 years then sold it in 2015 and bought 2011 5.0 my 4.6L stock on dyno 273RWHP and after mods 388RWHP Full Ford Racing CAI, Throttle body, intake manifold, Cams, One-piece Driveshaft, BBK underdrive pulleys, spec Stage 2+ clutch kit, Kooks headers with X-pipe and Flowmaster exhaust, Ford racing full suspension kit,
5.0 stock dyno 391RWHP similar mods almost 470 to 500ish RWHP, and of course, it cost around 1500 to 3000 USD more than 4.6L i just wanted to share :)
This is due to the different order of operation of the cylinders. In 4.6, the order of the cylinders is different. If you want to achieve that sound on 5.0 , you need to reshape the headers. You can make the left and right different. It is enough to bring the outlet of the left header from the center, and the right one from the nearest edge. Hello from Siberia ;)

this is a 2010 Mustang, it used the Old 4.6L which kinda sounds a lot better than the 5.0, i had 2005 mustang and later i bought 2011 5.0 but honestly the 5.0 engines are far superior with mods and can give you a bigger numbers when you just add bolts-on compared to the old 4.6l...i think the 4.6l have better fuel economy "i just felt it drank less" but then again the 5.0 stock will surely put a smile on your face when you floor it. It's on an FP black turbo. It does the 1/4 of a mile in 9.8 seconds and I have no idea what the 0-60 is. lol but it sure goes quick than 4.6 seconds, that's closer to stock. Plus, you started it by hating on my car with out even knowing what it is.

The 5.0 came back in 2011 and looked EXACTLY like the 2010 cars. The cars didn't change until 2013 with the redesign so mentioning the lights is not a valid argument. Now the fact that the badges say GT instead of 5.0 is the dead giveaway and the sound if you have a really good ear. Lol, lights he says...

i know the 5.0 is a way better motor, but the PI 2v 4.6L is the best sounding motor ever made with a good exhaust setup.
