This is my 550i and ever since I've been taking my BMW to Johnny he is extremely meticulous and so knowledgeable about fine German automobiles. My cars have never run better! Here's to you Johnny

Johnny, tell John Ross and Tyler to mention your channel on their channels, I did not know you had one. I just ran into it by chance and I follow those two guys.
My girlfriend has a 2010 X5 and had a bad coolant leak (weird I know). I live in Wichita so I decided to give the Car Ninja a shot after seeing him in Hoovie’s videos and honestly I’ve never been more impressed with a mechanic. The quality of work he performs is exceptional and is very pleasant as well, there wasn’t any grumpy mechanic vibes in his shop
Car Ninja is the man! I don’t even have a 5 series and am here just to watch the skill. Dude reminds me of an old mechanic I knew In short, dude was making mad $$. He was honest, straightforward and would charge a fair price. Wouldn’t even charge for minor things (adjust IAC, lube joints, or replace air filters). You can be assured however I brought him clutch jobs, suspension, etc. dude made bank in a 2 bay garage!!
Loved this video!! So cool to see this piece by piece and all the effort that goes into it. Easy to see how a vehicle could be mechanically totaled by needing new valve seals. Excellent work guys.
GREAT VIDEO ! You can clearly see the quality of the shop and tools (that engine stand is amazing); the cleanliness and tidiness of the shop speaks to an organised mind and logical approach; and of course Johnny's expert knowledge comes across very well. If I had a 6 figure car, I'd have no problem letting The Car Ninja work on my car.
Scott Whittier if you have all of the tools why not? It will not take one or even two days though. Speed comes with repetition. To me challenges are fun but the most important thing is to have a gameplan.
Would love to see more vids from this guy. Very humble and professional. I do frequent road trips to AZ and Florida from Canada and normally get my VW Golf or BMW 335 (whichever i feel like taking) serviced at a local dealer when its 7000kms into the trip, but id prefer to get them serviced at Jonny's shop on my next trip.
There is another way to do this job using the AGA valve stem seal tool. I did it a few weeks ago and rented the tool. You do not need to take the engine out or the camshafts. It is still very time consuming and difficult but doable for an advanced DIYer. This is still a great video though almost like an engine rebuild. It took me about 40 hours to do the job but could probably do it in half if I did it again. After doing the job, I see why shops charge so much.
What an excellent video, talk about right tool for the right job. I figured this would be a simple valve seal replacement but you went over and above what many techs would do-I really enjoyed watching this video.

That, or you're going to get used to sending BMWs to the crusher and buying another one every time you hear "engine out."
Hi Johnny, great work!!! I would just like to know do you inform the customer whether to change the timing chain and guides or do you first check their condition before advising him or her? Is it advisable not changing them in the interest of saving cost, won't it bite later on?

Nice detail. For such an inexpensive part, valve seals cause a great deal of work. In a similar project, I handlapped the valve seats. Next time I'll use drill and save myself a lot of time. I like the step-by-step walk through. For novices like me, it really breaks things down well.

Johnny. Great to see you started your own channel. One thing I would have gone over in this video is how to check/unclog the secondary air injection ports in the heads. They are so small and with burning oil they can clog up pretty quick.
