  • Everton lost in remarkable circumstances at Goodison Park after the Toffees surrendered a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 to Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
    Sean Dyche's side were winning comfortably with Iliman Ndiaye impressing before goals from the Cherries in the 87th, 92nd and 96th minutes completed an astonishing turnaround.
    Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin had netted for the Blues. It leaves Everton losing three from three to begin their Premier League season.
    Join Ian Croll, Chris Beesley and Connor O’Neill as they discuss and debate the fallout from Saturday’s defeat.

    Dyche’s fault 100%, his in game management is awful. They made 5 subs before we made 1, and that was the wrong one. Coleman was done after 65 mins, and was Iroegbunum. He should have brought on Dixon and Garner.

    Is Connor Dyche's son? Honest to god how can you not put any blame on Dyche, the players were blowing out their backsides and he takes off the 2 biggest threats which allowed Bournemouth to push up the pitch an extra 10 yards. Shocking in game management

  • @flashtheoriginal

    He is a coward, throwing some players under the bus to hide his organisational inadequacies.
    2-0 up and absolutely FLYING. So what does Dyche do? He removes, Ndaiye - our best player on the day - and puts on his useless 30+ mate Dope-Coure.....we go back to tired old 4-4-1-1, Bournemouth immediately sus us out, our system collapses, confidence goes, panic sets in, defence becomes exposed and we concede 3.
    CRAP GAME MANAGEMENT from a dinosaur manager who benches new talent and lives in the dark age of "dont lose" football.
    Dixon, Garner, O'Brien, Lindstrõem, Armstrong all BENCHED. Patterson out in the cold since SlapGate.
    WTF is going on? Seamus is clapped out, Young should be in a retirement home, Gueye doesnt know what day it is and Dope-Coure - the biggest nobody of all - couldnt hit King Kong's arse with a satellite dish.
    Disgraceful, schoolboy, game management from a crap manager. This is ALL on Dyche.
    DYCHE OUT

    If Dyche could smell it why didn't he get a message for a player to go down injured so that they could slow down. Bournemouth The Dark arts was needed in them final minutes

  • @steevenfrost
    @steevenfrost 13 дней назад +3

    We shouldn't panic. Ok this is not great,but we played the best we could for 86 minutes(yes you play for 90 mins plus) We will get the results
    lets put this behind us, get behind the team. We still have N'Daiye and Iriboegnum(sorry if i mispelt) who played excellently.
    No matter the anger towards the players we need to back our players to get us over the line again.
    Bournemouth manager admitted the best team lost.

      But thats the point. Dyche wont trust new signings, he will rely on Dope-Coure, Young, Gueye and Seamus etc. Thats basically why we are where we are. If he dynamically changed and adapted I wouldnt be so pissed off

    Connor loves an excuse, look how many were out on their feet v Bournemouth , so how is ndaiye not fit when he’s on on the bench v Brighton

  • @millionpoundbiller
    @millionpoundbiller 13 дней назад +3

    fundamentally how do you "smell it" and not change things - with three defensive players on the bench... Players hold responsibility but Dyche had the cards to play and didn't... Jake O'Brian, Garner and Young could have come on and played 8 at the back to get through and get the win... Instead we collapse... Never been a fan of sacking managers as that leads to unintended issues but he's got to get 4 points from 6 now or he has to go

  • @Ken.Sprayer

    @Chris Beesley that was political level question dodging at its finest. Dyche is a dinosaur, and he threw those players under a bus

    Like the composed way you have talked this through even after an ending that nobody saw coming at 85 minutes. As a football fan I think you have to take it (deafeat) collectively, players and manager alike. They are all proffesionals and need to be man enough to hold their hands up to say what they did wrong. On a positive note, the International break could work for you as it gives enough time to get it out of your system. Good luck for the season 😊

  • @BrewStar24
    @BrewStar24 13 дней назад +1

    Speaking from an outsider (Villa fan) it made no sense to swap a striker for a striker when you’d just conceded and there was only a goal in it so your oppositions on the front foot, Doucoure could’ve played as the highest line as a big bull of a midfielder later but sit back under pressure. Ashley Young could’ve come on for Iroegbunam, who’d been brilliant all game (you’re welcome btw 😂) but had clearly lost his legs. Young could’ve wrapped Coleman for a five man giving you added protection against the constant wing play. If DCL had to come off (not sure he did), not bringing on James Garner to solidify that mid was very odd. Just seemed like Dyche just thought you’d roll forward and get a 3rd, or just see the game out, which is just bloody naive when Bournemouth are bouncing.

    Bad decisions made by the manager by taking off Ndiaye & CDL, should have shored the defense by bringing O Brien on. Also bringing on Gardner at midfield would have helped us.

    Some blame on Beto there, which is lazy and doesn't stand up to scrutiny.
    Watch the last 10 minutes back. He wasn't the one giving the ball away or failing to make it stick. He barely had a touch.
    Other players were the ones giving it away, making tired passes. You can't blame someone for losing the ball if they don't have it in the first place.

    This is what can happen in football.
    No one seems to recognise that Everton played very well and scored two good goals and could have had more, but that also can inspire the opposition to throw everything at it. Everton scored two in 7 minutes so why can't Bournemouth score three in nine minutes?

    Games like that do happen; last season, Luton got 3 goals up and Bournemouth came back to win 4-3.

  • @steevenfrost

    This has happened before, under Ancelotti(i think) We were 2-0 up against Newcastle, with 2minutes of injury time left, we finished up with a 2-2 draw.
    What about when Lukaku missed a penalty when we were 2 goals up against West Ham, we lost 3-2
    Also West Ham last season we lost 3-1 late on. There is form for these collapses. We are Everton; it's never easy We go again. Fight fight fight.
    I recall The England team in 1970 who were 2-0 up and were cruising,then Ramsey took off Bobby Charlton which meant Beckenbaer could go forward. Result 3-2 loss!!

    We need to get some points from these 2 tough games coming up after the international break all we could become adrift already after the first 5 games which isn't idea my main concern is the goals were conceeding 10 goals in 3 games is relegation let's hope when Braithwaite comes back we can keep it tight we do look like we can score that's the only positive at the moment COYB

    If dyche could smell something then it’s in him as manager to get the air freshener out… im worried that he has his favourite players, his mates, that don’t or rarely get subbed.. Coleman is shite as is young, I don’t want dixon progress to be blocked by this pair, garner , dixon, o brian should have come on at 2.0 imo.. Ndye should have got his standing ovation on 93 minutes with the game won, its not that we had a champions league game on Tuesday night.. no just a 2 week break.. just my opinion… great show lads

    You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Dyche can only do so much the simple fact of the matter is Everton players are gash pickford couldn't catch a cold. Defence couldn't stop a parked car. Mid field is open for anyone to run through an forwards are none existing.

    If the manager was the captain of the Titanic, even more people would of lost their lives.
    At least captain smith ordered people to get in the life boats giving plenty of time. Dyche would wait for the ship to be half under the water before he smelt something!! Jòke
