What this season has taught us is that it's not the manager who is "defensively brilliant" it's Jarred Branthwaite

    • @Alfie-ps6ll

Didn't even have to that. Just make positive subs at the right time to maintain momentum like Lindstrom for McNeil, O'Brien for Keane, Dixon for Coleman, Gardner for Tim like u said. Make subs around 65mins and our new boys get more minutes because the team was playing great footy

I don't think the slap on Patterson helped but I think the players are sussing the manager out. Ndiaye, and probably O'Brien, will be questioning Dyche for different reasons. I'm wondering as well with what Jack said early on about Dyche starting Ndiaye, I think Jack's spot on. I don't see these signings being Dyche's, I think they're Thelwell. Which is good for us, but bad for Dyche. He doesn't know what he's doing. I think the players after Saturday will slam him even though he threw the players under the bus after the match. This is after attacking the fans in the last few weeks.

Hi my first comment here - only just joined- I am so angry - 75 years old born and bred Liverpool as an Evertonian - my dad was likewise - two brothers younger Liverpool fans always - my only bright moment for years was the Derby win - the joy of that win pales into significance - Moyes was not everything but was solid and loved the club -I thought our style is bad but improved amazingly for 85 mins - by the way SPOT on Ped - bad manager bad management

Dyche 100% has premeditated subs. He has zero proactive nouse. Game management isn't on his radar, and the young managers (even those with zero Premier league experience) has schooled him this season, and they will continue to do so.. The need to play Doucoure in every game is also baffling. He's not had a decent game for Everton this calendar year

Totally agree, Dyche bad decisions poor changes and then no action in injury time when further changes desperate and would have at least wasted 90 seconds. Just make a change we probably get a point.
The 2nd international break Dyche will have to go if we down the bottom.

  • @scottc10

If we don’t see some changes to the xi and tactics when our players aren’t fit or when the other team subs on new legs we have got to sack him before December comes around. I wanted to keep him through the end of the season but I can’t deal with another relegation fight the whole season. The squad has the same or more available than when Moyes had us before. He did a job for west ham steadying the ship and pushing them farther up the table than Sean will get us.

  • @number1Don

Big Nev said it right in an interview about 10 years ago. I watch it all the time because he has a winning mentality. Its called "Neville Southall Goalkeeper Magazine" - its on youtube. I'll paraphrase but in the 90's he played in the worst ever Everton teams. He said "If we dont try to win the league every season what is the point. As Everton we should always be aiming for first place". Now we have fans happy with aiming for mid table nothingness. We should be aiming for first place then see where we finish at the end of the season. Even the past 2 seasons, we had the players to be at least top half. Our fans (especially younger ones) have succumbed to Everton just need to be mid table to have a good season. Im not cut from that cloth.

I do understand that it's still early days. I get it. But... if it's a question of not having the cash right now, how will Everton magically have enough to sack Dyche & replace him if he did lose the next 3 games? And if the club don't have it then, & he lost another 3 in a row after that, how would they magically have the cash to replace him at that stage?
My point being that not having the cash to make a change absolutely shouldn't be a thing. It's such an incredibly dangerous message to send. Whether it's Dyche or whoever else that follows, you can't let managers feel unsackable

  • @bluenose1744

I have defended Dyche for a long time but his comment about smelling something was wrong and refusing to make changes just shows his in game management is poor. He continues to blame the players, fans, club but never looks at his own performance. Time for Kevin Thelwell to choose a manager that suits the vision he has for the type of players he wants.

  • @alexmozz1909

It's not just the first three games pre season was poor, and since December apart from one week and a Derby win we've been dreadful, unfortunately we have an absent owner who can't wait to get out and an interim board so no-one is making decisions, I suppose it'll all be the fans fault for leaving on mass in the 96th minute.

What an idiot. Moyes is worse than Dyche..Lasted 6 month at United sacked in Spain within months helped get Sunderland relegated and West Ham fans hated him from day one..The football is cowardly and horrible to watch..Here is a Stat for you..12 years at Everton we played the then big 4 around 50 times away from home...Chelsea United Arsenal Liverpool..Under Moyes we never won one game at any of these teams often getting swatted by 5- 6- 7 goals to nil😮..Knives to a Gunfight mentality Moyes instilled in our DNA is still at the club as we speak.. Why would you want that.back here??

I was hoping/expecting 50 points from this season. The manner of this defeat is concerning. Its also concerning that he spent all the money he had available on players but doesnt trust them to start/ see out a game. Who would sign for everton. The only reason is play in PL/ earn PL money. The football and manager arent attractive.

I have been listening to different views on this for balance. Blue Echo podcast is good for different views. I think Dyche has witchhunt against him. Our players just panic when they score. Dyche, we know doesn't make substitute but when he does that goes against him too. He has got to protect DCL as he is still like Weetabix. I think it was just unfortunate but shouldn't give licence for witchhunt. Sack him, so, many of our fans say, but he has keot us up got the last two seasons.
