I'll never understand the hate Baron Corbin gets, good ring worker, well-booked finisher, good heel, height, athleticism but that MITB burial is insane in hindsight.
Not to mention, all the reports of him being one of the safest workers, protecting various opponents from injury or worse on many documented occasions. He's a very solid talent and always gets a reaction

I miss Emma, very pissed off they fired her. I remember she had crazy outstanding matches when Asuka was getting pushed in Nxt. Emma on heel was taking risky matches, she could talk, wrestle, sell. She was on Banks level high-risk high-reward type of wrestler.
Luchasaurus wasn't only one of the trainees speaking out about Bill DeMott, he was the FIRST to break the silence and others followed suit. Because of Lucha coming forward an entire generation of trainees were saved from DeMott's sadistic malpractice
I remember a lot of these names! 👏🏾 I used to stalk the FCW page religiously when I was younger. I was shocked and excited when they turned the game show into a real show case of the up and coming stars. This was a great video ✨
I was a kid during this time and I absolutely loved looking at the roster, it was almost like I unlocked a whole new wrestling world 😂I was really invested in creating these guys in the games and shit, or I'd make up my own NXT guys and have them work through the real roster

22:15 Man, the Marcus Anthony era of OVW was probably the second best in the company's history. His matches with Jamin Olivencia, Ryan Howe, and Adam Revolver were always fantastic. I was there the night he dropped the OVW Heavyweight championship to Jamin at the end of his first run. It always saddens me that he didn't quite pan out in the WWE.

During a locker room meeting with the developmental roster, he was apparently so inspired by one of Dusty Rhodes' morale-boosting speeches about "grabbing that brass ring" that after it was done he booked a flight to where SmackDown was being held that week, showed up to the venue in full gear, and asked if there was anything he could do for them on the show. Management got so offended that a developmental talent would dare ask to be on TV without being called up first, so they promptly sent him back to Florida and fired him the next day. The man was literally *too ready* for the big time. So much so that it got him released. Absolute madlad.
Joel Redman currently has a wrestling school in Salisbury UK at the moment called ASW SOUTH I have a couple friends that train with him and have been on the same show with him once on the local circuit. Super nice guy and is always happy to give advice.
Just goes to show you how hard it is to make it. Only a handful of guys are even with the main roster. Even fewer guys are stars on the main roster. The thing that makes it so hard is that even if your really talented you still need a strong character to do anything
All that talent was literally the future and a new era but ol Vince and creative didn't see that and got rid of all the top stars with potential they kept people that's not really over
If I'm not mistaken, Summer Rae is semiretired. She said the injuries she had are too concerning for her to risk her body on a consistent basis. It's a shame. She had so much personality, was great with characters, and in NXT she proved that she could get physical, and really technical too
Baron Corbin is totally unique guy in history or professional wrestling. Since he debuted on main roster he was given nothing but terrible and loser gimmicks and storylines and yet he managed to turn all of them into numerous successful angles. I do consider him the best storyteller in WWE in the last at least 20 years.

Plus, lets not forget that, unlike most of current WWE superstars, Corbin is completely product of WWE. He never wrestled before he came to WWE, as he came after his unsuccessful stint in NFL. Not many of them left. Most notable ones are Corbin, Ezequiel and Alexa Bliss. Most of others came either from TNA or ROH or from indies.
