This all sounds good. I’m an experienced golfer 70 now. The biggest problem I’ve seen many golfers experience is coming over the top in their golf swing. I’ve found if I keep my back to the target longer, with my hands in front of my chest , with a slight closed stance, swinging inside to out, I play pretty good golf. I hit a natural draw. I’ve passed this on to many golfers that all hit the ball better afterwards. This may be contradicting what you’re saying, I’m not sure. Anytime that right shoulder comes forward has always caused problems for me. But every golfer is different. Look at all of the different swings on tour…
Coming over the top is coming over the plane. Porzak says this golfer in the video is coming under the plane. I think it is indeed contradicting because the problems are different!
Only if ive found your instructions 22 years ago i would have learned the right way to swing the club. Ive been struggling all these years with the driver. I heard of connecting arm-body but never know how to do it until seeing your video. Thank you Adam .
You’re sooo spot on with the chain effect of one wrong move. I had this problem because i was hinging early and rolling my hands behind me. How in the world would I ever have faster hands like your student here with a terrible swing plane? Good stuff!!!
i'm so glad you made this video. i have this same issue. ive never been able to find a video of anyone talking about this. 99% of the videos on youtube talk about slice issues. ill definitely try these drills
Within 2 minutes I actually understood what I’ve been doing wrong. Thanks Adam you are are definitely the best online instructor, if only I saw your videos a couple of years ago thanks great presentation.
This student's swing looks like Bo Weekly's (one of tour's great ball strikers when he was healthy) the way he keeps his right arm and wrist angles stable from the top of the backswing all of the way to when right hand is in front of right thigh. Nice, simple, powerful swing. I've always had an issue getting right elbow forward on downswing. I'll be using his swing as a model since I have an issue getting right elbow forward on downswing. Nice job!
Great video. It's rare to find a video actually about the timing of the body swivel....vs a whipped swing. I find that, when I get it right, my shot accuracy goes way up. The body and mind aim with the timing between swing and body swivel....and it's a great thing when you get it right.
Kev deserves comment recognition too. Kev, you continue to be the man. Remember, the camera man always survives. You got that going for you and the Dalai Lama owes you one.
I’ve been hitting solid with a slight fade but today every time I got up to hit, my grip, backswing, downswing, everything felt off and I was snap hooking a lot. I think this video was spot on for me
The trail shoulder through the ball? Absolutely! At age 77 I found a short cut using the seesaw effect of my scapula bone that is attached to my turning chest (rib cage) I start my backswing under the direction of my trail scapula bone gliding two inches towards my spine as this will automatically bring my lead shoulder/chest down. Under the seesaw effect of the scapula bone I start my backswing simply by activating my lead side scapula to glide about four inches towards my spine. This keeps me in my golf posture turning my right shoulder/ chest down as my club head centripetal force smashes through my ball sending it straight to its intended target. My club head will then continue around my turning chest over my lead shoulder to finish my swing. It is all part of the double pendulum swing known by some as the Bell effect of golf; the bell ring the gong; not the gong ringing the bell. Cheers 🥂😊👍
I have been under plane on the downswing all year. Have always understood that the lower body needs to lead the dowswing. Will instead try to activate the arms/hands early.
Keep working at it! Make sure when making a change, we take it slow in the beginning to ensure you feel all the correct positions then ramp up the speed gradually!
Adam, You had a video that you showed at start of back swing to start left hand under kind of like point knuckles down at very start of back swing. It was just a small point. Helped me a lot but cannot remember the video. can you comment or point me back to video as want to watch again.
Oh my goodness, I feel like this is going to help me a ton. Cant wait to get on the range now. This Makes too much sense. Is the driver the same? I’m so inconsistent 50% percent fairway finders 50% wayyyy left or I pull it way right (I’m a lefty) there’s really no misses that are still playable on a tight course.
Most definitely this will work but remember that when it comes to driver the set up is different. Ball forward around where the lead shoulder would be. Wider stance. And with our hip bump in combination with the wide stance, it will naturally tilt our spine. Check out one of our driver video if you need some more help!
It's a lot easier with a simple swing though. Pick a spot two feet behind the ball to look at . Tilt your head at address to watch that spot. Now try to scoop the spot with your trailing hand and throw it.
I guess the question becomes how to get the arms moving back in front faster... just a matter of feeling like they are way out ahead to exaggerate it, I guess?
Different people need to feel different things. A steep player needs to feel the hand to right pocket move while a player who is under the plane needs to feel more of this feeling.
Personally, my transition gets really quick and I don’t get into my lead side. So I’ve been focusing on keeping my hands at the top of my backswing for a split second while my lower body initiated the downswing. Helps my sequencing.
Funny comment…Kash is now shooting under par regularly and contending in tournaments, dropping his competitive scoring average over 7-8 shots this summer! Thanks 🙏🏻👊🏻
@@PorzakGolf when you guy have good strong body , build posture. Without it there is no good swing. Why he is dancing. Everything is moving You are teaching like 99% of foolish golf teachers. They are creating bad golfers. If you are golf teacher, Teach people slot golf. What is slot golf. Yes we have that big ring that can teach players but you cant carry that into range unless you own the golf course. but you can show the film first. They must understand the best golf swing first. Golf is all about thoughts. So you need to bring tools that convey the feels. Hockey stick or custom flat face plywood club Let me list key things 1. Convey Feel without words but with some golf tools 2. Posture Building ( Player must fall front as much his body allows. It will be pain in his/her legs. but that is where all starts. 3. Golf swing right hand dont move towards the golfball. This is a mistake all amateur does and stupid coaches teaches this nonsense. As i said even though hogan showed hands but its not conveyed well. 4. What start Golf swing. This is the problem even pro makes mistake. As knee turns towards the ball , shoulder moves ( not turn) and Arms also moves into new position because of knee turn and now hands are still high so arms drops as knee turns. When knee turn stops arms are in plane. All it need to do is fall on gravity. So basically hands does nothing during the swing except holding club during the impact. Golf plane ring will show the feel immediately. Now this plane can be adjusted anyway based on body shape. The player in pga tour come with various heights but they all have plane swing but very rare you see flatter golf swing. Its not easy for Tall player to squat with knee when they have tall upper body and knee wont be able to make them bend. They will have to live with different swing. They have long limbs long arc means they can release the ball high. So they gain advantage and use different swing but if same tall person has super strong legs then we will have freak golfer. if a player can hit 350-400 yards and super accurate with irons. Sure we had tiger woods but he had too high swing plane so he was in the woods and rough all the time

Same as always great golf instruction, your the man
This was great. More transition and downswing videos please ❤

Hanging back causes the snap🪝

Man I’m close to that clinic could never afford but that sounds amazing
I have the opposite problem. I can afford it but it's a thousand miles away
Is this the same concept as "hammering the nail" with the butt end of the club around lead thigh area? Thx.
Great explanation ❤
Glad it was helpful!
I have been under plane on the downswing all year. Have always understood that the lower body needs to lead the dowswing. Will instead try to activate the arms/hands early.
love it. This is currently my main issue.
Keep working at it! Make sure when making a change, we take it slow in the beginning to ensure you feel all the correct positions then ramp up the speed gradually!
Another gem Adam! So when we hit r irons, with the hip bump, do we drive off the back leg or focus more on the front leg
6 3 cant seem to get any zip coming from inside. When hands high at top get some compression.
Great video, as usual... it seems to me that "skip a rock" as swing thought, would sumarize this concept: am I wrong?

I can’t really put my finger on the exact video. If you liked the video, there should be a way to find it under “liked videos”
Amazing video! Love this, i sent an email for info regarding the clinic, a michigan gent here, hoping there is some spots left to reserve!
We will be responding shortly!

I wish you would look in to setting up a clinic in the North West.
North Idaho would be ideal…lol

Hands to right pocket versus this in the downswing confuse me

Hire different coach
