There are several videos available on GR 500 for further information. :)
Love "Country Roads" - Amazing how well that tune goes down when it's played anywhere, even the young 'uns know it. It was one of the first tunes I learnt on guitar back in the 70's :)
Just great thank you. This demo made me so very happy. I think You could have just a shoebox and a rubber band and you would manage to entertain the entire room. You have a natural born talent. Thank you again
I think there is an abysmal difference between a MIDI controller and a device that generates synthesis, but you are the DOC-MIX the only one authorized to say such things.
Hahaha so funny ! No one is better indicated than DoctorMix to put out crazy stuff with it. If this guitar came out in the 90’s, when U2 were at their peak of experimenting, The Edge would have put out a song out of it and we would have seen it on the ZooTv and Popmart stage for sure 😄
Buone Feste....
This thing really falls in the realm of gimmickry... but when I saw the price even that wore off! And as a guitar player I’m particularly picky on the setup and this doesn’t look like it actually can be set up.
@@dildonius it’s not snobby. It’s a realistic take. There’s a lot of potential moving in a certain direction, but some musicians would only want it for the guitar-like things that it doesn’t yet do well. Criticism can actually work to improve the product. What’s snobby is to think that it cannot be improved upon and the ideas about making the product better should cease.✌🏾
you should DEFINITELY check out the Casio DG series. They are not that impressive by themselves, but hook it up to a rack or a Moog.... they also look sooo sick :O
I remember back in the 90th I LOVED those MIDI Guitars and was close to buy a MIDI Pickup. But it allways sounded not so great, the MIDI Controlls don't work as well as a Keyboard and the Production value is not so great. But for 350,- it could be for someone who has to burn some money ;-) Also the Design is more for the "Back to the 80th" Kids. Nice gadget overall.
So this can essentially be used as a midi controller and not just for synths? I sliced a sound in kontakt and used my keyboard to make a melody with that sound, wonder if I could use this instead of the keyboard?
Thanks for covering this product. I've been thinking about getting one but I don't care about the MIDI/synth controls (don't kill me!) so just want to know if the guitar/bass/acoustic sounds are good to use it as a travel guitar. I think I'm gonna wait for the V2 which comes out next year....
Great Instrument Claudio! But i have another question: How do you make the Rythm.when you sing in the mic?Which Software for Drums? Thanks for your Answer and greetings from Austria / near Vienna!
Too bad you don't like what you do or have any fun doing it...Great and fun video. Great sounds. Thanks for posting. I dare you to play that with a violin (or viola) bow. Could be awesome...
hmmm. i still have this feeling, in the great scheme of things, that guitars will never replace keyboards, and keyboards will never replace guitars. BUT, since you have this, can you set up splits on the synths so that each jammy pitch range plays different patches/layers, like on the xm, etc? I was imagining a chord playing multi-timbral or set a deep bass chord and still do some screaming mono synth solo patch up high at the same time. i bet there are some 2-person band guitarists that would use this for separate bass and rhythm/lead patches for certain things, vs split pickups and a pitchfork octave pedal with a regular guitar...or not lol. edit: what if you got the aphex twin mod bass station that plays a different patch on every note and daisy-chained that on MIDI too. I BET that would make you smile haha.
it's a neat gadget, but I think i'd rather have a nice strat with a GK-3 pickup and roland synth. Then you have a midi guitar controller, and an actual guitar.
If you're OK with the inherent flaws/limitations of pitch-to-MIDI conversion, then fine. This "Jammi" device doesn't use pitch-to-MIDI conversion though. There are benefits to this. I've discovered a guy called Rob O'Reilly that has developed a MIDI guitar that also does not use pitch-to-MIDI conversion, while at the same time being a real guitar too!
I wish I knew how to play guitar but my fingering coordination is NOT guitar friendly.. For keyboard and piano.. yes. For hand drums... yes.. fretted instruments.. no... But wow how I love that synth.
Man it sounds like an Atari Game from the early 1980’s lol. It’s funny though, I think I may buy just based on the strings sound. Can lay something down in a recording or just a jam track
Wouldn't it be funny if you had that magic music ring thing on and you were getting effects from it while you were testing out this guitar!!!! I would laugh! Cool guitar though!
I'm not sure why i don't really like the sound of this guitar. Perhaps it's because I've seen too many Waldorf synthesizer videos of you and got spoiled by its sound?
Good to see someone who doesn't have a ridiculously reductive and snobby take on this thing. The entire concept of this instrument is incredibly innovative and has unlimited potential imo. Especially considering how much MIDI and Bluetooth tech has been advancing.

Thanks to Claudio for bringing such awesome reviews with his help and guidance it makes it so much better to choose instruments 🙂
Thank you Claudio 😊
This man's vibes are infectious
That's some amazing sounds you have coming out of that synthesizer guitar! Awesome!
Genesis song "It's gonna get better" is a good example on early guitar synth, where it is used for bass part.
You sure???

Great combo- Dr Mix and the Jammy G MIDI guitar
Like it for MIDI notation. Would make a lot of disco violin noises for myself.
Where/what are some good ways to get disco violin samples?
How about using that guitar synth to do the sections from Human League’s “Fascination?”
Do you know what a "gatorra" is? The manufacturer is from southern Brazil
That looks like loads of fun! Sounds ace and instantly playable. Great.
At 9:30 he totally wanted to smash the demo unit 😂
Best choice for synthwave!
This synth guitar is amazing.👍🏻Wonderful sounds. Thank you Doc for the presentation!
I rarely to never post RUclips comments, but Claudio that was like an amazing country roads.
Wow that’s really fantastic . Best of both worlds with one instrument cool. Best wishes great sounds. X
