Kevin Ortiz people have been saying it because leffen said it. And marss is the higher rated player therefore everything he does is better at least so the saying goes. Leffen had some topplayer elitism and melee logic behind his thinking. Since in melee he is the best mew two and armada is the best g&w etc where being a top player is more important than character specialization it’s just that isn’t true of non melee smash games and it’s debatably untrue in melee too though zain wining with roy and many other cases lead to that line of thought.
Mars may not be a better player they could be even in skill it’s just marss plays zss a character that wins a lot more match ups than falcon as seen when fatality plays maister or esam there is almost no chance of him winning because no matter what he does it’s unsafe but on the other hand he wins a lot of matchups that are -1 or even like nicko fatality almost always beats nicko and I’ve never seen him lose to a dk just in the same way how esam wouldn’t lose to a falcon

Not to be a dick but what Leffen said was that if Marss continued to play Falcon he would overtake Fatality, because he was a better overall player and there isn't enough depth for character specialists to matter as much. Not that I agree with his point, but I'm pretty sure he didn't say anything about the ditto. Could be wrong, but that's how I remember it.

By like the fourth time that Fatality knee'd Marss' Falcon off the stage after an up B, it made it super obvious who knows the ins and outs of this character better than the other. Love watching Marss play but that was a beat down.
