This channel is just a film school, it's a mentor itself. I'm writing a web series, I'm finishing my first season and it's action adventure. I'm loving it and I'm seeing this pictures as I'm writing.
Hi Lon, thanks for thinking of us. We are all hit hard by what is going on. Not sure what to expect. We certainly hope (and plan) to keep posting content.
There is an always reason why mentor live or mentor dies. It is very crucial point. I will apply in my idea. Please upload video explain of all '14' character. Thank you.
Very good video. This makes me think it might be a good idea to kill off my mentor at the end. BTW In the Firm, the name of the gene Hackman character is Avery Tolar
I disagree about the inciting incident in The Matrix. It is definitely a major turning point, taking the red pill, more like a first plot point. But I would say that the inciting incident was Neo meeting Trinity. She tells him about The Matrix and that he is in danger.
I thought the same thing initially but he's right. If you recall the car sequence after he's been bugged, Nio decides to leave and even opens the door, but he comes right back in after Trinity intervenes. So there are little inciting incidents with all the same outcome (phone - still doesn't follow the rules and he's taken in) and the car right after, all leading to the point of no return, which is the pill.
@@alexispapageorgiou72 , The Inciting Incident kicks the action into the direction of the Resolution and the Character Arc. The Inciting Incident is not based its explosiveness, but its direction. It's the Point of No Return like you said. It's really what the story is about.
@@demetriusdion286 Inciting incident, in this case, is the point of no return, and that is the pill. You're describing what I already mentioned in the first comment. Those are not inciting incidents cause Nio can still pull out, which is what he does, and not by accident.
You're talking about the First Plot Point, the Inciting Incident kicks the plot into the direction of the Chracter Arc and the story Resolution. The First Plot Point spins the story into a new direction, as well as the Midpoint and the Second Plot Point until the Black Moment, the biggest Crisis in the film, when all is lost, this leads to the last and final plot twist just before the Climax. This is where the Character Ach takes place: the Character do or die moment, he either changes for the better or the worst. Once the decision is made, it crests into the Climax and then the Resolution. The Theme is filfilled.
@@demetriusdion286 So you're distinguishing between the two, saying that the inciting incident isn't in this case also the first plot point? What is the inciting incident in your opinion? The start of the film? Cause that also sounds right, considering who the character is ...
never liked THE MATRIX ---- 0% chance of being real so disbelief is never suspended.... not sure why anyone would believe the premise.............. great story & acting otherwise just dumb premise
