    Also let’s not give her too much credit.
    She didn’t vote against the 2 child tax benefit cap or the winter fuel payment cut, she abstained. Those who voted against had the whip removed.
    She was also not that vocal when Dawn Butler was receiving the abuse.
    She’s going for a John Terry moment and using other people’s suffering to further her own profile.

    In case anyone's confused - there's a good reason she didn't cite "Labour isn't transphobic enough". Because they are now.

    Labour to reform? Good riddance. Very very good riddance.

    Didn't she mention Labour being the boys only club, so what reform then?

  • @matthewevans107

    She’s going to go to GBNews or TalkTV to get that payday before she quits parliament

    • @alexandralillywhite5997
      @alexandralillywhite5997 18 дней назад +4

      She can just keep taking the money and do literally nothing for the next 5 years. She's paid by parliament, not Labour. And she can go get the GBN paycheque on top of that.

      @@alexandralillywhite5997 if she’s independent it’s unlikely she’ll get reelected so it’s close to quitting. We’ve seen how much Farage is getting and even if agree gets a fraction of that, that’s a lot easier and more profitable than having to work for your constituents.

    I get the feeling her standing as a Labour candidate was mere expedience

    People appear to forget Matthew Doyle (Kier Starmer’s Communication Director) was caught lying about her not that long ago.
    Probably because since getting to no.10 the newspaper articles have mysteriously disappeared from the internet….😂
    It was in all the papers at the time!

    Local elections please! Reform didn't have the votes for an additional seat.

    It all comes down to what you believe. I hate those racist bellends at Reform, but I see it as voting for an MP rather than a party.
    Give us PR with regional lists, and I'd 100% agree with your point. I'd blame Starmer for this mess. He's too busy to take his eyes off the left of the party to worry about people like Duffield and Elphick.

      Afaik Starmer went out of his way to keep her. She was on the chopping block earlier this year, but he had her put back in place.

    Does the UK have a recall mechanism for MPs that can be initiated by the constituants?

    Ive met a lot of MPs in my life. Mostly through work but I met Rosie as she is a neighbour. Genuinely one of the loveliest people I’ve ever met.
    I have no doubt at all that she did this because she genuinely believes this is the right thing to do.
    I do find it interesting that people say they want politicians to give their honest views but then bitch and whinge when they do.

    • @tryingmybest9819

      Funny that her "honest views" came after the election.

    • @tropdepieds

      She's an anti-LGBTQ obsessive and so vile two lesbian staffers walked out of their jobs (I've spoken to one of them). If you think she's 'lovely' then that speaks volumes about your inability to judge character.

      Would you think the criticism of her was "whinging" if her brand of bigotry was homophobia or racism instead?

    • @Seal0626
      @Seal0626 18 дней назад +5

      Yes, we want their honest views. And when those honest views are reprehensible, we judge them accordingly.

    • @joevictor53

      If a person honesty is them being sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic or any other type of bigotry, we're going to judge them
