The 70s would be the decade I would ABSOLUTELY travel back to! I shed a tear when you said you didn’t like the 70s 😂 The 70s had the fashion and the musicianship. From disco, soul/r&b, funk, rock, singer/songwriters, and folk, there’s something for everyone. There’s so many phenomenal artists from the 70s!

His masterpiece album "Songs in the key of life" is one of the most influential on contemporary music. Filled with classics (Isn't she lovely, I wish, As, Pastime Paradise, Another star..). It is ranked 4th best album of all time by Rolling Stones... Stevie Wonder is one of the last giants of American music !

yes stevie is blind and that's him playing the hell out of that clavinet (the instrument playing that classic riff throughout the whole song! it's like a keyboard btw). It's awesome to watch him play it live his fingers are all over the place

The bass for this song was actually not a bass guitar, but a minimoog synthesizer.

Stevieland Hardway Judkins his surname was changed to Morris when his mother married he was discovered at age 12 in 1962 but his debut hit single was a live show recording "Fingertips" in 1963. Ronnie White the member of Motown group The Four Tops. He actually discovered Stevie by arranging an audition with the founder of the Motown record label Berry Gordy. Mr. Gordy gave him his stage name Stevie Wonder because he was a music child prodigy his ability to produce arrange played several instruments songwriter. He lost his sight at a young age but as a blind man he is truly gifted. His music is about love and Humanity Stevie catalog is huge hopefully you will get the opportunity to indulge. He incorporated influences and styles as a R&B artist he also influenced the next generation of artists. Sad to hear you don't care for 70s music but you haven't got the the whole gist of 70s era only a few artists you have heard of. Every era has so much music so I get why you like 80s 90s and 2000's music the advancement and aggressive of sounds & lyrics. But the early decades of music layed the blueprint for music to evolve. Every era paved the way for the next I love whatever sounds good to me from the 50s until present. Eventhough there only few songs I cared for today because some of it is lack luster

Hearing him say he doesn’t like the 70s broke my heart 🤣 That’s one of my favorite decades of music! He just hasn’t been exposed to more artists from that decade.

@@Amberelyse He is not first millennial to not cared 70s stuff I can some ways understand but so many of the melodies of the 70s you don't hear anymore. I guess every decade of music has their trend but the uniqueness is what I missed. For some reactors I've witnessed they couldn't figure what instrument or sounds they don't know. If get more exposure of different genre's of the 70s maybe have a different outlook.

Wow, you really don't like the 70s that much. Wow. Queen/Led Zeppelin/Eagles/The Who/Joni Mitchell/Chicago/Grateful Dead/THE ROLLING STONES/Pink Floyd/Yes ... . You know the Eagles has the No. 1 album of the 20th Century. But that's okay - you'll change your mind eventually. lol Also, Sting's Desert Rose is well worth a listen. As far as Stevie goes - his harmonica is in a class all by itself.

LOL. For a little introduction you might check out a video called "Stevie Wonder's Perfect Run" about his "classic period" a five year run starting in 1972 when he came out with classic album after classic album: ruclips.net/video/DbhG9841tgA/видео.html

Stevie was huge in the 70s. He was a child in the 60s and did have some success but his peak was the 70's
And I don't think you heard any soul music from the 70's to say that you don't like the 70s. Some of the best and most timeless music, soul music especially came out of the 70's

Dude - Fleetwood Mac is THE BOMB! I like them too. What do you think about Empire of the Sun out of curiosity? You know what’s weird, it’s barely been 100 years that music actually had words…is that evolution ???? Or the contrary ? It’s like a painting with words( I can’t stand that ) or the short lived early 2000 drama style of the actor pausing the scene and telling you what the character is thinking … music has its own language and intonation .. no language is needed really to feel … so why do we do that ?

Stevie owned the 70’s and 80’s. Constant Grammy’s & album of the year awards. Had one of the best musical runs ever, released 5 of the best albums of all time literally in a row, from 1972-1976, with plenty of other hits throughout the 60’s and 80’s too.
Played legit every instrument on 90% of his songs. Dude plays any kind of keyboard, (piano, clav, moog bass, synthesizer etc) drums (yes drums 🤯) and ofc harmonica. Crazy how he can do all that while being blind. It’s not even fair how talented he is, as if having 1 of the best singing voices ever wasn’t good enough 😂
One of the few artists of all time to not have a single skip on any album lol. Pick any song of his, especially in his prime from the 70s. They all timeless
I suggest Living for the City (7 min album version) as the next song of his to react to. U won’t be disappointed
Although I have to say, Stevie’s one of those artists where u kinda have to sit down and listen to an album of his to really be introduced. He’s got a deep rabbit hole of a catalog lol
Songs in the key of life & Innervisions are his best 2 albums. Those are 2 of the 5 masterpieces he released in the 70’s, and listening to them is def the best way to start getting into his stuff 👍🏻
