Great progress on the engine, it looks fantastic. I am looking forward to seeing you install this into the backhoe. I think we have the same weather as you and we are looking forward to the spring
This was my first ever engine rebuild, I really jumped off into the deep end with it but it all worked out! Do you have any manuals? I have manuals on pdf if you want them 👍
I am redoing a1976 310 deere backhoe put a new injector pump runs fine but oil leak behind pump lookslike behind front engine plate can you pull the front plate without pulling head and pan
Hello there, thanks for good video. I have a Question. Looks like my jd-450-B is same engine but it's got turbo, however top radiator hose was smoking a bit while running. So I took assembly off and there was no thermostat. Could that be a head gasket or something? I don't believe that smoke should come out of radiator hose. I haven't worked on those engines before and learning. I replaced oil and it was ok, no water . But radiator was leaking and was third full, I didn't know that until it was overheating. Thanks.
Hello, does your machine have a temp gauge? I'm just wondering how hot it got if it did overheat? Check the top radiator hose for leaks. I had some trouble with my 410 getting hot when I first bought it, first thing I did was put a working temp gauge in it. I have a leak in the top of the radiator now that is needing repaired 😒 I'd make sure it's full of fluids, keep running it and keep a eye on it. As long as it's not leaking water into the oil or oil in the water you'll probably be fine 👍 Good luck!
farming unfortunately not sure how hot it got before, I just bought this machine and don't know anything about it, it's from auction. My neighbor brought it for me. But it barely gets to green point on temperature gauge, but it's not that hot in Maryland now. Hoping to use it until it's good and comfortable time to rebuild it.
@@colossus5752 Yeah I'd just keep running it, my old 410 was using water, I found out later that the seals on the piston sleeves were worn out. Just check the water level before you use it and I'm sure it will be fine. If you need any manuals email me at burns.tractor.sales@gmail.com I have operator manuals, parts catalog and the mechanics book all on PDF file
@@ImaginaryMachines thanks neighbor has a 410 that has been sitting that is running rough. That gives me a great idea on what to offer. Thanks for the videos. I like your style.
@@MrMorepower71 I forgot, don't underestimate oil, I'm going to change all the hydraulic/transmission/rear end oil with JD hy-gard, I figured around $500 for oil not including filters
@@ImaginaryMachines oh yeah I already priced all that stuff. I just had no idea for an engine rebuild. But checked and oil is good. Just lots of hydraulic leaks.
Looks good! I bet you'll be glad to have the old backhoe back in service.
Yes! I have so many things needing to get done before spring and now spring is already here 😱.
Thanks for watching
Great Job , Looks great , I am sure it will run awesome too.
Thanks, been running it for over a year with no issues 👍
Good work brother
Nice work.
My 410C is losing coolant. Looks like time to tear down.
Thanks,
Sorry to hear your bad news, hopefully it goes easy for you!

Thanks, I'm happy with how it's turned out so far, can't wait for this weather to clear up, I'm so tired of the wind.
Thanks for watching
I am doing an inline rebuild on my John Deere 410 diesel I've never rebuilt a motor before getting all of my information from RUclips yeehaw!!!

Whether you have to use a brush or can spray on the paint, to me it is always a good measure. And you also used a primer first. Well Done!
Thanks, yes I always like to paint stuff to make it look nicer, I learned a long time ago that it's worth the time to use primer 👍

Cast iron blocks and heads are great, until you are lifting a head in place, then you wish it was aluminum! LOL

How much do you have in the rebuild on this?
