Finally we are here!! What a journey it has been! Thank you all for following along and cheering us on. If you think we did a good job hit that thumbs up on the video 👍
👏👏👏Beautiful! job guys✨💛👌
@mat. James Bondo is that because your boat is full of bondo lol, only joking both of you have done an awesome job 👏 cant wait for you both to go back sailing again 😀
The boat is looking better then ever and honestly I'm glad u rebuilt her because now she fits your guyses needs better.. im super pumped to see the outside garage and only thing I'm sad about is u didn't install an aux tank for emergencies.. also.. Iin the future I would like to see maybe a propane/electric fridge and a 2 in 1 washer dryer.. getting one that small will be a struggle on its own and may only be found in China because they have one in one of their tiny rv's they build. but its still crazy awesome what you have done!! Maybe I can talk you into taking me along with you for a trip across the ocean and fish and drink the intire time!!! I've only tried red snapper fresh from the waters and would looove to try everything else you guys be catching and cooking!!!! Your really living the life I've always dreamed.. I woukd do soooo much to experience that even for just one passage..
Are you going to get the hell out of hurricane alley now?
Labor of Love. Worth all the effort. You are manifesting brilliant experiences.
As a 50 year professional small craft Mariner, I worked on refurbs of over 300 boats. You two have wildly exceeded all expectations! When you started the refurb, I thought “No Way!” I would not have undertaken the project. The idea alone made me feel tired. Between your viewed relationship, humor and down to earth selves, you have earned all the kudos displayed in the comments. I hope your ongoing cruise provides you with the satisfaction you have found in completing the refit project. Both of you can look forward to careers in the yacht industry if you choose to pursue that path. Congratulations.
I agree wholeheartedly with your comments. Mat’s learning curve has certainly given him an avenue for future income if he ever has a need or wishes to explore that area
Let me tell you, I’ve been friends/teammates with Matt since 2008. If there’s is anyone who can accomplish anything, it’s him. Once his mind is set on something, he never stops. It’s impressive and annoying at times honestly 😂
This 100%!!
I didn't know how they didn't melt in the heat. I guess they couldn't rig up an a/c. It was hot in palm beach, I'd think it deadly in puerto Rico in a small closed room baking in the heat. I think he's from Alabama, maybe he has a little black blood that gives him more heat endurance. He does walk kinda funny (joking).
Oh, i remembered another insulation that won't vibrate into dust or require metallic or other hard, non-sound absorbing covering like aluminum: wool. I saw on youtube where sheep's wool is sometimes used for insulation.
Well said! An impressive power-couple if there ever was one!
I am a vessel surveyor, I get to dig around in a lot of boats, I have to say that is a brilliant job in terms of investment and utility. That practicality and the humor, I loved this, well done you two.
GREAT JOB! Beautiful and functional! Most important, it is good to see how rightfully happy you two are with the finished product. Bon Appeiit!
Nice way of saying Lipstick on a Pig.
How much would this referb cost in materials DIY vs a hiring some folk?
@@williamm.3612less to do DYI, BUT also takes a full year or more of your life
I have bought and sold 6 sailboats over the past 50 years. Endured/loved all the fix up work along the way. You two are amazing. You did an incredible amount of high-quality work. My girlfriend (and later wife) and I went through many similar projects. Keep and cherish these memories, it only gets better. Please keep the videos coming. You two are great!!!!
Undoubtedly the best sailing/boat work channel on RUclips! You two compliment each other fantastically and manage to capture the essence of the struggle and the fun of what you do. The refit turned out fantastic! But now that you moved up the luxury ladder, please don’t change! Keep it real...cause you are, and you’re good at it!
Don't worry Brian we only own one collared shirt😅
@@SailingGoodBadandUgly Please keep the striped pants that look like something out of a high security prison 😂
Finally!!! I CAN NOT believe the fantastic job you two did on your boat! Seriously impressive and A LOT to be proud of! HUGE pat on the back guys! I really look forward to watching you 3 out on this fancy yacht.
Thanks Stacey! We will be sailing very soon.
Next level presentation. You guys sometimes act silly and destroy the English language, but I must give you total respect for this refit and I know how much work that was and you got it done by yourself. Amazing. The end result is a "Boat Show" appearance. Great job. I'm very happy for you.
Best restoration I have ever seen.
The transformation is beyond spectacular! It honestly looks like a brand new boat that might be on display at the Boat Show..
You guys really deserve the result, I have followed the trials and tribulations and sheer amount of hard work you went through. Enjoy it!!
Congradulations! You two did it!!!!
You have both done an amazing job on the boat. It’s been amazing to see how you have both worked together and what’s even more amazing is the fact that Matt still has 10 fingers and toes following all that router / saw work !!
Wow. Wow. Wow. You guys absolutely crushed it. The interior looks fantastic. Watching the episodes, I wasn’t sure you would ever get it done. Not only did you, but with big style points. Looks amazing. Big congrats to you both. You are also a pleasure to watch. Keep the episodes coming. Much love to you.
Wow, wow, wow! From the trailer park to the marina.
We love the upgrades they undertook on their sailing vessel. As sailors ourselves, we know first hand the hard work that must have been!
Our favourite show every week. We've followed the entire saga. Thought we'd seen it all until the final reveal. Wow and shocked. The boat looks like something out of a 2023 sailing magazine. Despite the fact that Matt loves the pronoun "I" and "my", we, as viewers always translate that to "we and our". You have both done an incredible job. Whether it is is routing or editing...it is a big team effort enjoyed by us all. Your humour keeps a smile on our face every week for 23:17. Thanks and happy adventures ahead.
What an amazing transformation, you two should be extremely proud of what you've accomplished with very little prior knowledge, limited tools and materials. You've transformed that 5K boat into a very nice yacht and you've done it all yourselves. She's beautiful inside and out now while being also very capable. She's a vessel anyone would be proud to own and show off while you two should be at least doubly proud seeing what you've accomplished with so little. That was an extreme amount of work you took on and you never faltered, you just kept learning, experimenting and plugging away at it. The dedication, determination and just sheer grit this refit, on the water I might add, is something you both should be applauded for. I knew you kids had it in you and now I think I've gushed enough.
Now get out there and enjoy all that hard work aboard your stunning new old 5k yacht that's worth so much more now.
Fair winds, following seas, safe travels and God Bless...
Kkn
The boat looks amazing! Well done to both of you!
Regarding the foam in the engine room, you will want to cover that in metallic foil tape and secure the foam with screws and wide washers or battens. The primary reason, besides mitigating possible combustion, is that the foam will start to disintegrate from heat over time, leaving blue crusty foam dust all over your engine room and getting into the bilge and possibly clogging your bilge pump or hoses. The battens and screws will keep everything in place. Additionally, you will want to caulk between the bulkheads and the sink rim in the head. You don't want water to seep down there delaminating your hard work. Other than that, nice job and thank you for inviting us all along on the journey!
I also love the job you did , but I agree about the foam, the glue may not tolerate the heat that holds it to the walls, also the engine may only get to 220 because of the coolant, but I know the exhaust manifolds will be warmer than that. There is nothing worse that a fire at sea, be safe !
Good advice. Foam breaks down and makes a BIG mess, and you wouldn't want that in your engine either. That aluminum tape works great for many applications. Same with the chaulking, ke e p the water out if where it's nit needed. Great job.
The foam needs to be changed to mineral wool insulation which is designed for sound proofing and can withstand temperatures over 1000 degrees. That would be a very inexpensive change.
@@keithchambers8111 mineral wool is required in bldgs because of its higher burn temperature but won't it shed particles over time like i would expect fiberglass insulation to do.
100% agree with replacing the foam. It's not meant for high temp application and can give off toxic/carcinogenic fumes when heated well before melting and combustion. Rock Wool is the ideal choice for both noise and thermal damping/insulation and it won't deteriorate. Plus it's inexpensive. On Navy ships we used to use lagging made from asbestos, which is a mineral. Rock Wool is a pretty close substitute without the cancer issues.
I've said it before but it warrants saying again. Incredible!
I'm not a sailor but I have spent a lifetime doing not dissimilar DiY projects and I am still in awe of what the two of you have achieved. Most of us know what it is like to move into a new-to-us house and have to live with skanky cupboards covered in previous owners' detritus and worse, old heating boilers that don't work and walls with twenty layers of peeling wallpaper. That old boat was your equivalent of those houses. Now it is bright, it is clean, it's modern and it's beautiful. I hope it brings you much happiness and repays you many times over for the love and attention you have lavished on it. Well done guys.
You guys are incredible! So impressed with your courage, creativity, determination , genius ideas, resilience, both your skills, design and your transparency in sharing your journey. It's been fun for us and now it's time for you to have some fun again. Best to you!
We totally agree! Creativity and resilience both came into play on their refit. And their transparency throughout their process has been so refreshing! We know how much works going into even the smallest of boat projects- let along an entire refit like this one!
Wow! Amazing journey and amazing results! Matt is the OG DaVinci and Kristen, designing, sewing, filming, editing, but above all, and this goes for both of you, keeping your sense of humor and a positive attitude throughout this very long refit will be the new standard for sailing DIYers! Looking forward to seeing you sail away in search of new adventures!
Now that the boat is done - you've struggled and prevailed - so now FOR THE LOVE GOD - lets get to sailing ! I cant wait to see the new destinations. - Take care of Lovey, Thurston and keep living your best life you guys make me smile.
For insulating engine foam, use nitrile foam with an aluminum heat reflective siding. Nitrile foam does not burn, and is a better noise insulator.
You guys and your boat are fabulous. I have to tell you, I am going to miss Larry Laminato and James Bondo. Two things I will allways remember: Matt's resourcefulness in transporting 8' x 4' sheets of plywood on the little outrigger of his electric scooter, and making the curved ceiling-to-floor corner trim with hand tools. Simply genius. Now, I am really looking forward to the adventures that await. Congratulations.
We've watched you guys for quite some time and despite not knowing you personally, we can honestly say that we are proud of both of you. We love watching your channel each week and have been with you each and every step of the refit. We've just recently finished refitting our little 19' O'Day sailboat so we have a little experience in the monumental amount of work you've done. What an amazing job you've done on the interior - absolutely night and day. Looking forward to the shake down cruise video and seeing how everything fairs inside. Keep up the great work you two! -- Vinny the Viewer. :)
Hi Guys, I said this before and would like to say this even louder now. " you two are awesome" ...... I am so happy for you. I love watching you because you work so hard and you appreciate your own efforts so much!!! The rich, who gets things on a silver platter can and will never understand your happiness now. Kudos to you. I hope I can one day meet you guys in person.
This is way better than a brand new boat because you guys did it yourselves. Every area has been well thought out for functionality and comfort. Looks incredible!!!
Just a thought. Foam will dry out after some time. Once it does, it goes up fast. There was a Great White concert that was a tragedy when all the soundproofing foam caught fire. It happened so fast. They make a foam board, with foil on one side. You can get it in different thickness, and it works great for heat and sound. Use foil tape to cover the seams. Check it out. It's obvious you worked hard on this, and have a lot of pride. You both did a great job, so it's not worth the risk. It's looks great and would fit with the quality of work you put in!
Just WOW! You both did absolutely amazing! Thank you for sharing your learning journey with the world. It was awesome to watch the progress of the refit. Life will be way easier for you guys. So stoked. Y'all should be super proud of yourselves! 😁
Thanks Lisa 🙌 🙏
Mat and Kristen, I said it last week and I’ll say it again; hip hip hooray!! That definitely does not look like the same boat. It looks amazing. Boat works never end but you’ve definitely reduced a lot of the major headaches. There are always things to improve or add (water maker, navigation electronics, etc.) but you have created a much more comfortable space to travel and have some much deserved fun. Enjoy your brand new five thousand dollar boat. 🎊 🎉
We live on cash & have lived in our renovations that people thought we were absolutely crazy 😂 but some of us don’t have the financial means, but DO have the work ethic, ambition & creativity to rebuild another persons trash into a luxury with zero debt!!! What a GREAT JOB!!! Wonderful layout & have enjoyed watching the insanely hard work y’all put in, wish you well to enjoy it!
So happy and proud for you two! Such a clean and light interior! Amazing!! The wind is calling...
OUT OF THE PARK! You guys hit a home run ! You 2 have really grown in your skills and have yourself a 1st rate vessel! Looking forward to your future adventures!
As an Architect, I love the modern color scheme and clean lines of your interior - SPECTACULAR!
It has been joy to watch (I think I've watched every video) this process. You guys are amazingly resilient, innovative, and persistent. I'm a woodworker so I greatly appreciate what you've accomplished with the tools you have. Again, amazing. I'll always be a fan of GBU!
We recently had a professional woodworker help us with some projects on our boat and wow the talent it takes to make beautiful pieces like what we needed blew us away!
I read the NFPA fire prevention info from front to back. So You don't need to. My advice is put a fire resistant foil in the engine area with just enough foam to keep things quiet. You are not building a Piano. You are the best people out there.
So inspirational. Shows everyone the payoff comes when you put in the work- and that boat is now so appealing. This has got to be the best sailing channel out there, every weekly segment is enjoyable!
Hey guys. Have good news but first is first: Super impressed with the craftmanship and design experience that you have gained and even more how you have been able to document and capture that development episode by episode while confronting the challenges that our world and everyone has faced during this now concluded pandemic. Pretty sure that by tackling them with such positive vibe and good humor (at least on camera), it has made things bearable and has built you stronger in every way possible; from the inside and out. Like Matt says sometimes: "thanks to the Good Old Lord". Congratulations for living and inspiring dreams. Now the good news: We tuned in today because we just put a 1990 Hunter 37.5 Legend under contract and wanted to get fired up for the refits and repairs projects ahead. Thank you for inspiring us and may we have the blessing to at least meet and share some time with people like you on our new tracks. Now our secret message for you and from San Juan, Puerto Rico (Matt will understand it) ;). "Hola y que Dios los guíe, los proteja y les supla todas sus necesidades en su navegar. Vaya con Dios". Capt. LuisB
I rehab a 78 31' boat and was shocked when I added up all the cost. I think you need to include your tools as a separate cost item that alone will surprise you. A separate cost for dockage, boat yard and your condo, would be another expense that made you boat build possible. That said, how about the learning curb you two went though, it's amazing for a new comer to boat building and sailing. I am so impressed with you guys, you're truly amazing people. If you're ever back in Key West give you friend Paul Jones a shout. 👍👍👍
As far as your foam goes, like a mattress it'll melt - not burst into flame. As one that has had a mattress melt from heat, they melt FAST! I barely had time to grab water to throw on it to put it out. Envision this: Upstairs apt, burning mattress too large to throw out a window. By the time I got a glass of water from the kitchen the burn area went from quarter sized to a foot diameter. It goes quicker than you can imagine. I'm not sure a fire extinguisher would put it out since it's not really a fire but a hot spot that's melting very quickly. I totally Love what you guys have done to your boat. Now you really know your boat inside and out. It's beautiful and really looks professional!!! WTG
Well done guys, I've been watching you two for years and what great job you have done. Enjoy it!
Thank you, it means alot to us that you've stuck with us through the years 🙏
What an absolutely shocking transformation! Look at you two... all dressed up to compliment the new salon. Kudos on the results after months of grueling work and I look forward to seeing you on the high seas, finding some new and beautiful anchorages.
I am super happy for you guys, this upgrade was fantastic. you deserve all the happiness in the world. the boat looks fantastic! what a great job you guys did. you have good reason to be proud.
Yay! You guys can get back to sailing!
I think if you just cover the foam in that reflective heat protector it will keep the foam from giving off any fumes, which I think, would be more of a possibility than the foam catching fire. Overall what an awesome and very impressive accomplishment you two have done.
Yup. Cover the foam. And secure it with some hardware.
Have watched you toil on this for a very long time, firstly thanks for sharing and secondly, great job, so impressed, cannot wait to see where you go from here.
The BOAT LOOKS AWSOME…It’s Pimpin’ Matt!!! Love watching you guys ❤
The before and after of the interior is stunning. Great job. I do have one recommendation though, on the foam in the engine compartment. As an aircraft mechanic I suggest looking up Fiberfrax. You can take a piece of this stuff and lay it on your outstretch palm, then put a propane torch to it. It will turn brown but your skin will be fine. You could fasten this material over top of the foam and never worry about that foam again. I put it inside engine cowlings where the exhaust pipes are within an inch. Before the paint would bubble, but not after installing this fabric. You can lay your hand on the outside right after landing and it was cool to the touch. It is made from washed ceramic fibers and was used on the space shuttle.
Congratulations on your remodel! There is no doubt you have achieved a major success in this very ambitious undertaking! You can be proud of yourselves for this adventure. Making the boat more seaworthy and safe was critical to make your adventures way less hazardous! I am sure all of your followers are proud you as well. We've had 7 boats over that last 50 years and appreciate what it takes to operate and maintain them. To live this life takes a special personality and commitment. Only a handful have what it takes. Now it's time to take her out to do your sea trails to address any necessary fixes or tweaks before you take to the open seas again. Well done!
FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It looks like a cabin on a luxury cruise ship!!! Beautiful job!!!! You should be VERY PROUD of yourselves. Especially with the limited tools and limited access to supplies! it's AMAZING!!! HAVE FUN!!! I truly enjoyed watching all your videos leading up to the BIG REVEAL!!! LOVED IT!! Thank you for all the wonderful videos! I looked forward to them all! You two are so uplifting with your happiness and positivity!!
11. Enjoy your boat!
You both should be so proud of what you have accomplished not only in that amazing refit, but in what you’ve accomplished in life. You are truly inspiring!
Team work make the dream work! Great job guys. It’s beautiful! 👊
WOW, just WOW. I have watched your channel for a long time and this re-fit, rebuild has a fantastic ending!!! Cudos to Matt on his acquired skills with minimal tools and to Kristin for her taste in fabrics and for all the filming and editing she has done and the time and sweat she put into this project. You two together make a great team and you seem to have fun doing it together without beating one another to death. I have been waiting for the great reveal and this episode did not disappoint at all. Now time to go out and have some well deserved fun on your new yacht. Love to you both!
Well said and me too. These guys have come a long way and it’s been refreshing to see them do it and learn on the fly. Matty may be right about doing the shakedown before the refitting, lol 😂
Gangsta!!
We're so happy and excited for you two. Most people would never have attempted so much work and many others would have quit along the way. We love you guys! -Tim & Brandi
I have no words; your boat looks amazing! Thank you so much for sharing this refit. You both did an awesome with the work, but also presenting your work to your fans. Keep those videos coming!
You guys have the right attitude. Go getters, live life, get it down through imagination. Great job.
Wow! The counters…the walls… the wood laminate…. Damn…. It’s like a brand new boat! VERY VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE!
Great job. Looks amazing! You both can feel very proud of all you have learned, all you have done and all you have shared with us. You don't need to ever make apologies for your ideas, your methods or your abilities. You have done a professional job with the design, the choice of materials and the fine construction work. You turned a broken wreck into a beautiful, sleek custom boat!
Absolutely brilliant, not a huge fan of lighter wood but yours looks great, well done, I’m sure you guys had disagreements during the redo however you should be proud of the excellent job you’ve done
Gotta say she looks like someone famous . Don’t know who but her personality is so awesome . Lucky man matt
Fantastic job you both have done on the boat. Looks like a professional job. Congratulations! Now go and sail it!
My question is: Why am I so happy and amazed at all of the new improvements that you worked so hard at? It’s not even my boat…
Guys, you did such an incredible job! So very impressed not only with the results, but the persistance and great attitude.
What a wonderful job. Hard work is called an upgrade and you have done well. thank you for letting me watch.
Truly remarkable guys, a tribute to your perseverance, tenacity, and great sense of design, all sprinkled with a good sense of humor. Followed and loved it all since the beginning.
Your boat looks fantastic. Well Done.
I can not express how impressed I am with the job you have done with your refit. I have followed you every week thru the process and just can't believe how great the finished product is. I am so amazed that I am rewatching, since the beginning of the refit, to better see all the amazing changes and work you did. Once again I can not watch an episode without laughing. You two are my favorite UTUBE channel. Thank you so much for your amazing channel.
Thank old thug! Ima be an ol' thug one day
Just must tell you that we have followed you throughout this entire project (and a long time before). We suffered through all of the upfit videos, all of them
Congratulations. The boat is beautiful. And functional after an extreme amount of work. We live and travel on our boat about half time so we totally understand the challenges. Congrats again, beautiful
Y’all are awesome. 😅
That was a good one. You guys are going to be so much happier and a lot less ‘what if’ stress now you have the big red.
And honestly that autohelm is going to change your life, just don’t forget to keep a lookout.
All the ‘sailing with Faith’ crew can’t wait for the ‘cast off’.
The boat looks twice as good as when it was brand new. You both did a wonderful job on the refit and are still together That kind of project can ruin a relationship. You survived it so that tells me there is a lot of love and respect between the two of you. Now sail away and enjoy the fruits of your labors. Be sure and take us along with you because the give and take between Matt and Kristen is priceless.
You two absolutely knocked it out the park. That turned out amazing. I was not expecting such clean lines and look considering what you had to start with. I love the lighter colors. Now get back to sailing and enjoy all your hard work.
ABSOLUTELY, Beautiful, y'all. I'm talking about the Boat, Matt. Yes, Kristen, too. But really such a great job!
To me, I frankly don't care to know what it cost for the refit. Its really none of our(viewers) business. Just take off, and start enjoying yourselves and the fruits of your labors.
You guys did a great job. I enjoyed watching the progress along with all of the oops and learning experiences along the way.
You both worked so long and hard for this.. Simply amazing..congrats!!
I am seriously amazed by what you both were able to achieve in the refit. Congratulations. Happy sailing😊
Whoohoo Finally!!!! Let the ADVENTURES begin AGAIN!!!!! Good job guys!
Beautiful! Great job guys. This doesn't look like the same boat. Thanks for taking us along on this remodel job. You guys have a lot to be proud of. 👍
I have complete admiration for you restoring your boat, a very nice job you did.
A tremendous job. Y’all have done a beautiful job with your boat. Great design and execution. I’m amazed at what you have accomplished within a limited workspace. Gosh darn you folks are great people. Hats off to a wonderful couple!
Can't wait to see the cat investigating her new palace 😻
It looks really incredible, unrecognisable from what it was, you did such an amazing job.
We've been telling bear all about it every day! Hope she likes it😻😻
WOW!! Really loved your 'reveal' video and finally seeing how all your blood, sweat and tears has paid off! You both are to be commended on a job very well done! Comparing the start videos to the final, it is hard to believe the enormous task you had taken on. The transformation went from pretty stank (probably from Matt's vocabulary) to class A+. Congratulations, and please continue to share your videos, the humor within - coupled with the obvious love that you both share with each other!
Just wow! So proud of “our boat.” Good job guys.
Hi guys I’ve been following you for a long time now and I believe what you did was the best you did everything exterior of the boat the whole and now the interior with the new motor least you know this boat and How it is all put together , Just thanks for the video and all the good laughs and sometimes a little bit sad but overall I’m really happy for you guys and I really love and appreciate what you have done Cliff from Logan city Queensland Australia from the big island
I am speechless... What you guys have done is a major contender for a Boat Show ! Hats Off !!!
Magnificent job! Excellent design and esthetic. 👏👏👏
I haven't tuned in for a while but OMG!!! Your interior refit is absolutely amazing. What you have accomplished is inspiring!!
You guys are awesome!! ❤ The boat looks like a million bucks! 🤩🌊🤘🏻
You do you. Blow your own horn. You're where you are from your own work/effort, own it, the pair of you are awesome. Keep it up so the rest of us can live vicariously through you.
Great job guys! One concern I have though, is all the sharp edges of the laminate, like the leading edge of the companionway steps. I can see those causing some nasty scrapes going up or down below in a seaway, not to mention they’ll likely be easily damaged. (This is easily remedied with non-slip vinyl or rubber edge applied). Other edges may not be “scrape hazards” but they may be quite easily damaged (destroying Larry’s great job) by simply moving things about. Another possible issue I see is the lack of ventilation (air movement) through the storage lockers above the settees if the doors are kept tightly closed.
Nonetheless, congrats on a fabulous upgrade, your sense of style (I’m not talking to you Matt) and ghetto but completely workable and frankly inspiring skills (Matt) and boundless energy have kept me coming back each and every week anxiously anticipating the latest video.
Well done!
Such a clean refit! You figured it out and it looks great! Congrats to you both!
Your boat looks fantastic! It’s been a real joy watching you rebuild it.
Incredible work!
Your my favorite sailing channel as your interactions with each other are so humorous and the refit is absolutely 💯 percent amazing hope once you get moving the ruff seas don't shake everything loose
You guys keep it Real !!!!!
Oh my goodness. This build is amazing. You should be very proud. I have always been that guy who can fix, or build anything but you are next level. Outstanding sir.
Followed the refit entirely, and have to say I’m going to miss James Bondo. 😂 Been a tradesman for 30 years and I think your refit will be just fine, it’s clear you both learned so much. Really looks good. Even taught us a few things. Now looking forward to seeing you guys out on the water doing videos that made us watch you to begin with. 🍻
You guys are perfect for each other. Words can’t describe how much I enjoyed your restoration. It all looks perfect. Enjoy.
It may not burst into flames while under normal conditions, but if you have a fire unrelated to the foam, the foam will catch and cause it to spread faster.
I really expected about 4-10 times you would give up and light a match to it but you hung in through the tough times and should be so proud or yourselves. Those who persevere will overcome. Well done!!!
What an astounding transformation! You knocked it out of the park and you should be really proud of yourselves, Thank you for showing the progress, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Congratulations to you both, I’m sure you guys are well proud. Hopefully you have had a celebration drink. The level of finish is superb. I hope you find a name for the Auto pilot, it will be almost like an extra person.
I did exactly what you did years ago, but then had the wish to goo larger...and that boat was less a gangster boat. The first one had holes in the hull as large as 50x50 cm... A miracle it did not sink on the way home....the engine was destroyed, rust everywhere, interior, none existing... buit after a decent amount of tender love ... it became a boat again... and served for a few years. Its a hell of a job you are doing and I relate a lot to what you do.. Great job Guys, Hope to see you in Asia one day.
Wow!!! You two did such a fantastic job on refurbishing your 5K boat! IT IS BEAUTIFUL!
It's amazing that this was once a $5k boat! They put a lot of sweat into this refurb!
Y’all have done an amazing job! This is the best sailing channel on RUclips.
CONGRATS ON FINISHING! This was the BEST long-term video series on RUclips that I simply could not miss. THANKS!
