Chris, you are spot on. He will NEVER leave his safe space of the "Den". 6 months ago he left some trash comment on one of my videos exposing his lies and I offered him a debate 5 times. He refused to do so, despite the fact that I've proven I can host dawah apologists on my channel without doing all the muting, kicking, interrupting that he does. Plus, I don't bring on 3 other people to gang up on them like he does on the Den. He would only talk to me if I came on one of his 3am Ramadan livestreams. Surah 36 with tafsir - Paul sent by Allah to strengthen John and Peter. My memory of Hamza is that he thinks Islamic tradition is more reliable than the scientific method. The scientific method is dependent upon empirical evidence. Then he has the audacity to claim we Christians are foolish for relying on tradition? His position is completely duplicit, so I dont bother watching him anymore. Maybe, hes changed? What does he make of the 7C coins of the Arab rulers, that are distinctly christian and zoroastrian in symbols until late in the century ? That would totally disagree with the narrative of the early caliphs. The caliph title was also not used iirc by those early rulers [rather Emir or Commander of the Believers]. There was a 7C text about a thuggish warlord with religious polemic attacking Jerusalem in the 630s but after the official timing of the decease of Mohammed, but not with an "Islamic" message. This would support the idea of Jay Smith and others that there was a religious movement of a heretical christian sort, that got distorted later for political usage.

@@collybever I don't know. Sometimes dawah channels will cite other scholars who relate a more 'traditional narrative'. I think Jay Smith's approach is academic. Sometimes I think Jay stretches his conclusions too far, but I don't see the approach as being mistaken. Looking at what evidence is available and making conclusions from the available archeological evidence is sensible. At the same time, we are talking about late antiquity and most historians admit that their discipline isn't objective. When Muslims claim that history, as related by them, within their tradition, is perfectly preserved, they go way too far. Elements of the Standard Islamic Narative make sense to me, but hardly all of it. The difficulty is being able to discern what parts are reliable and I certainly don't have that knowledge, and I doubt anyone does. Daii say that Isnad and Haddith (some haddith) have made their history utterly reliable. It's impossible to accept that. Personally, I just state that none of their haddith can be verified and have been graded after Muhammad's life and so they can't be helpful toward their intention. Isnad (chain of transmission) and haddith are supposed to make history clearer, but it doesn't. Here is the reason.. One of Islam's main tenents is to follow the behaviour of Muhammad, but that's more difficult today because of grading haddith. Grading of haddith was completed by Muslims who lived after the life of Muhammad which means that those Muslims would have to assume they know what Muhammad would have said and probably did. That's guessing. Muslims today are left just assuming the Muslims who did grade, got it right. What if they didn't get their grading as Muhammad would have? We cant tell today. So, they can't verify that they are following Muhammad's example today. Guessing which haddith are haddith that Muhammad would accept, isn't knowing which haddith Muhammad really does like and what Muhammad really did say. So, I don't even use their embarassing Sahih haddith. I just say all haddith are unverifiable and stories have to be verifable if they are to be considered reliable. It doesn't make sense to claim anything unverifiable is reliable. That's not academic. That's simply trusting a tradition. Trusting a tradition isn't neccessarily wrong or unethical, but prescribing an unverifiable tradition on others is unethical. I make no arguments from any haddith, even the haddith that Muslims don't like and find embarassing. That way my position is consistent. None of the Standard Islamic Narrative can be verified, which doesn't mean it's not true or false, but only that no person can know today what is the truth. I hope that make sense. I don't claim to know anywhere as much as what Jay Smith does, or most Daii. Yet, the method that Daii use is their problem and so I kind of don't need to be a full expert (like Mary Harb, or Jay Smith) and I don't believe anyone has to be either.
I presume that you are an evangelical christian and you believe in the doctrine of the trinity and vicarious atonement but not doing good works then you also believe as long as a man who rapes and murders your daughter and then repents and later on sin the same sin or a man rapes and murders your sister and then repents and later on sin the same sin or a man rape and murders your mother and then repents and later on sin the same sin or rapes and murders your wife and then repents and later on sin the same sin and evangelical christian still believes in the doctrine of the trinity and also believes that Jesus Christ died on the cross for his sins that he will be forgiven and will go to heaven and despite continuing to rape and murder innocent people but will still go to heaven as he still believe in the doctrine of the trinity and also as long as he still believes that Jesus died on the cross because you believe that this man is your evangelical christian brethren who you will embrace him but you also believe that good works are just like dirty rags according to your apostle Paul as your apostle Paul also said that faith alone believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins they you are forgiven and will go to heaven is your only salvation.

Nor can you be saved by your moral perfection-no matter how moral or how perfect you are. As the Old Testament prophet Isaiah points out, your righteousness is about as good as a “snot rag”. (Isaiah 64:6 ). I have actually cleaned that up a bit, because the Hebrew phrase for filthy rags, ukabeged ehdim, literally means, “like as rags of menstruation.”
Sorry if that disgusts you, but it’s Scripture-so blame Isaiah. The point is, both our acts of righteousness, and the quality of righteousness that we hope they produce, are disgusting to God. So if you are disgusted by Isaiah’s language, think of how God, who inspired Isaiah to choose those coarse words, is repulsed by our efforts to get him to save us. So what hope, then, is there for our salvation? Well, frankly, no hope resides within us. None whatsoever. Ephesians 2:1 says “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins.” That’s how hopeless we are apart from God’s work to save us. You see, all a dead person can do is lay there and be dead, let alone try to be righteous before God.

I'm a Muslim. Obviously I noticed Hamza's unreasonable excuses. It's a bit shameful to be honest. He doesn't say the truth about why he doesn't want to debate.

Personally I'd have a conversation with anyone. But I understand why someone would be hesitant if its against toxic people like this.
