Man you are embarrassing yourself. You had a chance to talk and then things go wrong. Commenting afterwards is only applicable if you think or you feel that you've misrepresented yourself and trying to reclarify some of your past words. However if you try to insult or represent your opponent that is red line. It's a sign of a coward and insincerity!
He asked why I was there, I told him it was to learn more about his beliefs and what he thought about fake muslims.
Instead the conversation was about my beliefs. He wants to show how he and islam are right and everything else is wrong.
If you are coming from a position of being 100% objectively true, then you must defend your position first if you want to be the authority on what is true.
I could be wrong, but we will never know if the conversation is over before it began because I don't agree everything is either black or white.

You seem to fail to grasp that an opinion isn't a rational argument. You're repeatedly giving your belief / opinion, but no rational argument as to why someone else should accept it. Similarly being righteous would be a subjective thing.
It's great you believe in one God worthy of worship, and his grace is worthy of being thankful for, wouldn't showing gratitude the way your creator wants you to, rather than whatever you think is right be the correct way to do it.
You might want to give all your money and possession away for charity, thinking that's righteous but if your dependents suffer, you might not have done what your creator wants.

Our worship is Zikr, when we constantly think about God, and how amazing He is. Exactly as you. You might agree with something and disagree with something else..but that doesnt make it the objective truth. we can only have that from the creator.
