- We dove in to find a leak on this Dyna t-sport, and noticed the main drive gear seal was not making a good seal with the spacer.

I did mine twice and finally brought it to a mechanic. Turns out i was using the wrong seal and it was leaking on the outside of the seal. If I ever have to do it again I think I'll epoxy the outside edge
Suggestion on removing the crank Nut. Do not use an impact wrench. It might crack the stater magnets.
Great work! I heat up the seal rings and they come right out. Food for thought.
I'm not sure if you took the effort to do it or if the recording equipment you are using did it, but I can't even express how nice it is to have the impact sounds not be 10x the volume of everything else. Great video for me to double check my work fixing a leak on my new to me FXDX.

I juse replaced all those seals in there and its still leaking. I might go back in and try packing that main shaft seal full of grease this time.

Bro I swear I have had more issues with the primary/tranny on my 2008 FLHRCI that I’m about to just sell the damn thing.
One fkn thing after another
Leaky inner primary .. nah it was blown compensator that fucked the entire clutch assembly. .. few weeks later .. buzzing in the clutch lever and some leaking fluid .. did the shop fuck ip? Nah.. it’s a bad bearing and seal on the tranny. Fortunately they are eating the cost to get to the tranny to handle that .. said can’t know for sure til they get in there .. before he got “rebuild” half way out his mouth I damnnnear lost it if anything gets a new tranny it’s my 2023 RG with the 124. Not my old bar hopper I got for $6500 that’s landed up with 5k worth of repairs been in shop more time than on the road (when I checked it out and rode it .. nothing felt off. No tell tale signs of comp issue).. oh yea and a fork seal started leaking after riding it for maybe 500mi.

You can find fitment for your bike. They don’t make them for 06+ though
Anyone know where to buy that monster of a deep well socket??? I'm currently stuck at this step to get the sprocket off and I can't find anything anywhere. HELP!!
Look up “main shaft sprocket/pulley socket” on Amazon. There is one for 5 speed transmissions and one for 6 speeds. They run like $30-50

@@GilstrapGarage well good choice I believe Warren Buffet still lives there I would like to get out of California when I retired btw do you know a good mechanic I live in ontario cal my 2013 dyna idles to high when i come to a stop or sitting at a red light i took it to dealer n they supposedly fix it but a week later problem came back.
