I mean the 3370 isn’t really outdated, considering the performance is still amazing. Imo even the 3360 isn’t really outdated until 4k hz polling is widely available. But not using a 3395 and no higher polling on the pro model that’s limited edition just makes it inferior to the dav3.
in the context of this mouse vs. the model O2 having the 3395 it's fair to say it's outdated, especially as it costs the same amount of money

Maybe I'm an edge case, but when I see companies doing limited runs that aren't just cosmetic for that sweet sweet FOMO money... it just makes me hate your brand. Congratulations. I'll now buy almost anything else.
It's not even about the money for me, it's the blatant focus on line-go-up instead of serving your customer base.

I dont think yoiu are an edge case. As most consumers these days are conscious enough to know which product is fomo bait and which product is a genuine effort.
The Forge series were what Glorious needed to do with the upcoming v2 lines. Sure it's the same shift that every other company is doing, but they still had that brand name. Although not really on par with the quality control of big name brands like Razer or Logi, but heck, the Forge Model O mouse that was 49 grams looked like a reaaally good purchase. Had they added multiple key marketable features as mentioned (optical switches, better sensor, 4k hz) and then they didn't get greedy and priced it way under the DAV3, GPX, then their products would be considered way more. But Pulsar and other companies like Lamzu stole their opportunity already with that move, so we'll just have to see what Glorious comes up with next I guess.
gwolves basically did the same thing but they didnt limit availability and it worked, a lot more people are noticing their offerings now. the biggest blunder here was releasing it through forge and pretending like these were small projects done on the side.
I won't be begging Glorious to make more of those but I will beg you to make more videos.

PCCG in Australia seems to have boatloads of forge stuff in stock. I bought the Forge Series One Pro and honestly had no idea it was a group buy product. Seems pretty good though. It is crazy light. My old mouse was (only) 79g but it feels like a tonne brick now.
They’re selling them again on their Amazon page for $48. I just bought one knowing this is most likely Glorious emptying their remaining stock to make room for more products.
You should review the Ajazz aj199, its a really good budget wireless mouse with a 3395 and gpx shape

Great point! There is such thing as EKSA EM500 which seemed to be a hole-less knock off version of Model D, which was released a year earlier than Model D Pro. It looks like Glorious got this idea(no holes) from its knock off version.😅. Then where is that "new, unique, and experimental"?😂 I have this EM500 and it's solid, bang for a buck (bought it for only $11). Glorious model D pro(I think) is overpriced.
glorious was never original or innovative. the model D was an EC clone, same with the model O being an FK clone and the model I being a g502 based shape with minor improvements and the holes were from finalmouse. hole-less was always the final goal as companies figured out how to improve weight while keeping the shell sturdy. making a mouse hole-less isnt really an idea, more like an improvement most companies should try and do because it prevents internal damage, and its just more pleasing to look at.
Being a design engineer for almost 15 years, i can say there is no such thing as 'original design'. Every design has its own inspiration especially at this age. Many, if not majority, of the companies are doing this. I do believe that the model D is not an 'EC clone' as the shape is not an exact copy. And yes, I believe Glorious used the EC as basis of their design. Glorious did great by getting those sweet spots of the EC(the general shape and the specific position of the thumb, pointer and middle finger) and improving through weight reduction. Glorious has more pronouced indentations on the left and right click for the fingers to sit well. Infact, I would say their shape is better than the EC as it feels more comfortable.. As for the holes, they really don't give much help on weight reduction since it will require more ribs to strengthen the shell. I believe it's just a hype. They have great overall design. They just failed in engineering and quality control IMO.
@@axismachineriesandfabricat3336 while yes, the model D is an improved EC shape, I don’t think the original model D really did enough to make it different from the EC in my opinion. As I feel like my biggest issue with the EC shape and FK shape is how aggressively they slope down after the hump towards my palm. The changes to the click shape is good, but it’s still in the category of EC clone for me. But again, most ergo mice tends to follow 3 main shape as their basis, the original Microsoft ergo mice so EC, DA and intellimouse, g703 style with a very curved back allowing for a lot of support and g502 with a thumbrest so there isn’t really much there to improve on. But it doesn’t change the fact that glorious really wasn’t that innovative, and mostly was built around hype and affordabilit.
@@axismachineriesandfabricat3336 as a diy-er and a gamer, I do appreciate the insight but the holes actually does help the weight a bit. On something as light as a mouse, 3-5 grams on the top and 2-4 grams on the bottom combined is already a decent amount of weight reduction in the long run. It’s just where you insert the holes and where the mouse is reinforced that truly matters,
Ironically a lot of enthusiasts want their mouse at 400DPI
Having played with 4k on the DAV3, I noticed no improvements vs 400DPI
Ironically, this WAS mostly the case for CSGO and other slow paced shooters where slow sensitivity was meta, but most players shift to 1600 dpi wich reduces latency by almost halve

got my hands on the gpx and it kinda felt a little heavy. 45gram Ninjutso Sora kinda ruined my standard for a super light mouse

I have two Model Ds, one black and one white (actually I have a Drawer full of mice - but I use Model Ds on my two computers). I guess, maybe, I'm just not very observant... Cause I don't have any issues with my Mice at all. I tend to think Everything about some of these peripherals is just 'Marketing Hype'. And since people are spending money on this stuff they want others to think it's an 'Amazing', 'Indispenseable', item that they simply 'Cannot Live Without'. 🙄

dpi button was overrated come on!
dont think its overrated. rebinding it to something else or having 2 different dpi depending on the game is super useful. it also allows for some level of plug and play and you dont have to install as many garbage bloatware.
