    Appreciate this so much! Looks like it will be a bit more difficult in my coupe because I’ll have to take off the airbag trim. I’m actually not sure if I’m going to do it now because I’m scared of setting the damn thing off lol
    But again, thanks for this. You’re the man!

    Had an accident involving our garage door that ripped the antenna off the roof of my wife’s Honda. Pulled up your site on YT for replacement directions. They were absolutely awesome, as well as the directions to reuse the airbag clips for the panels on each side of the door. Took a little over two hours. Your directions were very clear and precise. Thank you very much for your help! Joe in Mississippi

      @@AndrewNirello Ordered from the parts department of my local Honda dealership. Always best to buy exact replacement parts instead of after market ones on internet. Hope it goes well for. you, from Joe.

    Any chance you will be doing a full headliner disassembling in the future? Ideally for the Hatchback but any 10th Gen Civic for reference would be just awesome!
    Thanks for doing up this video, very well done and über helpful!
    Cheers!

    That one clip where you used the mallet to push it in. I tried it on mine on a c Piller on a 2017 Civic hatchback, and I swear I hit it pretty hard and it wouldn't come out. I also tried prying it out from an opening I could get through, but didn't work

    How much different is it for a hatchback? Do you have to remove the weather seal? Are they glued in btw? Will they be loose if you remove them a lot?

    Do you think you might have a similar video but for a 2018 Accord anytime soon?

    It’s great that you’re doing this with the sedans... but us with the coupes need help lol
    I have a 2015 accord coupe.
    There are no back clips or handle bars.
    What would I need to do to lower the headliners in the rear?

    I know this video is old so no one might reply to my comment but is there like a glue that is used to attach the new antenna to the roof once you put one on? Or is it just tight enough due to the screw on the inside? Most helpful tutorial other there btw!

    • @DIYHonda
      @DIYHonda  2 года назад

      There shouldn't be any glue holding it on. The nut may be tight and need a ratchet and socket to get it off. Make sure you are turning the nut the right way. Good luck!

    Where is radio antena located in honda civic model 2018?

    Took my car to a Honda dealership for an oil change in a battery change and they managed to somehow break My fin off! I think it was in the complementary car wash. They broke my driver's side power seat too. The car barely has 2000 miles on it.

    Is that really the only way to take out the antenna? I thought u could just remove it from the top. That’s much more difficult than I thought. I have a ‘16 Civic and I wanted to replace the original antenna with a carbon fiber one but seeing how difficult and tedious this is, I think I rather wrap it or find a carbon fiber cap cover. Do u where I can get one of those cover?

    • @DIYHonda
      @DIYHonda  Год назад

      Yes, it’s quite a bit of work to remove them properly. I have seen the carbon fiber covers you can get on Amazon. But I would be a little concerned with fitment over the factory antenna.

  • @benitoloco892

    Don't know about the sedan or coupe version, but on the hatchback removing the hangars and the headliner is way too much. And all for just one nut holding the shark fin antenna in.

      Probably won’t have much damaged parts assuming you have enough brain cells and sense to not apply hulk force. Who tf uses plastic tools lmao
