Thanks for this! I am going to assume the principles apply to the Honda Civic as well! Great video, very concise and clear.

Thanks so much for this great DIY video! Great instruction. For the pice of the replacement antenna plus shipping and a clip tool I was able to get my XM on a 2014 Accord V6 working again for a fraction of the dealers and a car stereo shop’s quoted price! 🌝👏👍

Great video! Thank you! (just so people know... I had an issue with my XM radio showing “no signal” on my 2016 Accord touring, ordered the antenna, replaced it and it took care of that problem)thanks again.

Just to clarify, because my 2015 honda accord is having the exact error for xm radio. You did this exact process and removed & replaced the "fin"? Please advise me. Ty

Was the process easy? I’m having the exact issue with my SiriusXM radio showing “no
Signal” on my 2016 Accord EX.

Thanks for the video. I haven't tried the process yet but the XM in my 2015 Accord EX-L V6 stopped working about a month ago.
Took it to the dealer today and they quoted me $527 (including $90 diagnostic fee) for fixing my XM radio! 😲

What symptoms were you having and did replacing the antenna fix it? I'm trying to troubleshoot a SiriusXM issue where audio works for a while and then stops. "No signal" is the most common message but other times it says something about the antenna.

    • @accordracin96
      @accordracin96 2 года назад +1

@@JeffMelia - I was getting "no signal" with XM Radio. I did replace the antenna and it fixed the issue. I didn't go through the dealership. I found a replacement antenna on eBay and then had a friend help me install it.
It fixed the issue but then a few months after that I cancelled my XM Radio and just stream via bluetooth.

@@accordracin96 Thank you for the reply. I'm going to try replacing the antenna as my first step. Hopefully that's all it takes.

Great video! Do you know if a 2016 Honda Accord sport is pre-wired for a XM antenna? I would like to add XM radio to my car with the factory look, I would hope Honda wired all these the same, Thank you.

Thank you for the great video. I just came from the dealership as my XM radio no loner works and they quoted me $600 to remove the headliner and then “assess” the antenna. Would this video also work for the 2009 Honda Accord? Also, do I ask for the sharkfin antenna at the parts department or is it called something else and are there any other parts that are needed? Thank you again.

I have a 2015 accord coupe! Any idea on how to approach my car? The headliner is put together much differently than the sedan.
There are no back clips, and not back OS handles.
    Thanks!

Awesome and very helpful video. My system was working intermittently. Once i took my liner loose, i believe the bolt that holds the antenna to the body was a bit loose and may have been causing my intermittent service. However since i had a new one in place i decided to use the new one. May be work checking to see if the bolt is look, affecting the ground, in turn affecting the signal and may save yourself $40 on a new antenna. Thanks again for the great video and was definitely a life saver from having to figure it all out on my own.

My local Hoda dealer wants $1090 for parts and labor to replace XM Antenna including $139 for diagnosis. He already diagnosed the problem by connecting another Antenna to traced the problem with the Antenna. 4 hours labor + Parts (Antenna and Lead) $139 Diagnosis cost.
