surely NO, not only the price didn't drop but risen a lot, years ago, I can buy a RAV4 for just $25000 and now its almost $45000 with the same LE AWD, totally robbing money.

Nothing changes at the dealerships. They think they are selling gold.

the more electronic stuff you put in the car the more problems they give us also can posibly hide stuff than can track us and see our personal life and info. this is bad in so many ways.

I am not a fan of over-teching cars, more tech = more problems = less money in your pocket. Solid tech that could save your life and won't break down is good, the rest is just a liability.

I will never buy an electric vehicle. I don’t like them. Now the 4Runner has a turbo charged 4 cylinder. Reliability and longevity will take a hit. Trucks need naturally aspirated engines.

As a mechanical claims adjuster that processes mechanical breakdown claims for extended service contract companies, I can tell you that Toyota and Lexus products are deemed low risk amd are A rated. Domestic brands are C and D rated as high risk. Every Chevys will need a transmission and quite possibly an engine during the contracts lifespan, in addition to long list of other exspensive repairs. The domestic brands keep us very busy. Facts. Any major Toyota or Lexus issues usually occur during the manufacturer warranty period and get sorted out. Toyota is quite far from being in "trouble".

Toyota figured out that turbo damages engines and transmissions. Turbo damages rearendas well.

Toyota vehicles were of higher quality and workmanship when they were assembled in Japan. Within my family alone, there have been quality issues that were obvious and surprisingly got past QC somehow. My daughters new Corolla had a loose drivers seat and a panel under the glove box and passenger door where the screws were sticking out still, I mean, not even tightened. Who's looking over these vehicles. Both of these issues were caught immediately just during my quick test drive.

If Toyota is knee deep in shit, GM, Ford and Stellantis is neck deep in it and they are standing on tippy toes.

Not in Canada. Here in Ontario, Canada, people have put down their $1,000 deposit for a new Corolla LE and 2 years later they are still waiting! A few have given up and gone to buy a Honda, Mazda, or Subaru, but most are still waiting for their Corolla to arrive, and when it does arrive it won't be as they ordered, it will be 'close' to what they want (Toyota dealers get 'allocations', so the people have to accept what comes, like it or not. Most don't want a silver Corolla, they wanted white, but after 4 shipments there was still no white models for them to choose from, that's why they are still waiting even 2 years later.

This is incorrect, toyota has massive waiting list. This maybe true for US, but not for australia

So let me get this straight. Other brands of vehicles don't have this technology? And costs much less to repair? I was under the impression that every manufacturer had radar cruise and blind spot monitors. As for the cost being down, in Canada people are still waiting for vehicles to be made and delivered and are not at discounted prices.

They bought Daihatsu rebadge into developing nations in late 90's and cheating safety conducts over past 30 years, astonishingly Malaysian been buying these cars simply because it's low fuel consumptions easy to maintain that's their selling point after being rejected in Europe.
