Just lost my cap to my 2016 Sonata in the car wash. I ordered a replacement cap from EBay and you video is very helpful for when my cap arrives to install it. Good job!

Shauna, apparently this is a common carwash incident. It happened to me on our 2015 Kia Cadenza (close cousin to your car) and the carwash paid for the repair. I think it’s disgraceful they didn't pay for your repair. Anyhow, great video on repairing it. Great job.

I was yesterday at the car wash and I using pressure washer and blew off the antenna plastic cover and thanks for video that helps me out a lot and posting this issue here it helps saving your money .👋

This just happened with my sister in laws Sonata. She lost her emblem too 😆. I'm going to fix do this for her car tomorrow.

I easily fixed mine too, thanks to you! If yours fell off and you can't find it, check salvage yards, verify the part number and you can get the antenna assembly for 50 to $75 versus $250 for the whole thing brand new online

I wonder if you or others have been back through a car wash with it fixed?

That's her original one . She just glued it back to cut cost.

isn't there suppose to be a wire you're suppose to attach to the antenna my cover has a wire unlike yours

Hi. I found my original cover. It was still the bag at the car wash. So I didn’t order one on eBay. But it’s the shark fin Hyundai Sonata cap. Hope this helps.
