Been using the IN8s as my mains for about 4 yrs after upgrading from Event 2020s. No comparison…the Kalis are light years ahead…beautifully detailed in the mids with wide sweet spot. Very balanced and translate exceptionally well. Kali for life!!

Kali Audio is honestly one of the few underrated brands that is seriously slept on. I took a chance and bought the IN-UNF 3-way Powered Studio Monitors 4 months ago and was blown away by the sound. I feel like it's only a matter of time, and their prices will probably go up once folks realize it.

Bought the UNFs for my desk at work (lots of video editing, BGM for normal desk work). They freaking kill it. They sound better in a small brick office than my LP-6s at home. But part of the charm is that they can push the SPL you need from up close without distortion. Putting them farther away would mean a lot more power, and distortion, for those little woofers.
The LP-6s are also awesome though. Same tweeter, great high and mids, and the lows are super clean. They're fair, neutral, and resolving without being clinical. And still can jam. Now for a Kali sub.......

@@WhoIsAlexElliott first impressions are very good. Due to position I have used Kali recommended switch settings but overall transparency and frequency range seems much better than the old monitors. In a recent mix I thought I had finished, I have already noticed a couple of areas I have mixed the vocal too low, and concerned about bass translating have actually mixed it way too low. I have a good feeling about these. One game changer for me is the Bluetooth. I can now really get used the sound while enjoying music at the same time.
👍. Also plenty loud enough, more than I will ever need in my 12x8ft space.
My only criticism is the length of the 4 pin cable that joins the speakers. I think it’s 48”, but quite stiff. My monitors have 38” between them and slightly toed in. I couldn’t put them any further apart. Although you can get an 8ft cable if required.
@@stuart.s.thanks for coming back with the update. I really did think you’d love them. Regarding the cable length they are ultra nearfiled so are designed to not be too far apart however it’s good that an 8ft cable to available. ❤.
i have the Kali IN8s for about 5 years. i swapped out my V1 model for the V2 about a year ago. i will say that they sound amazing, and it's a shame that i can't turn them up in my apartment like i want to. these 4.5 in ones you have are probably better suited for us with neighbors on the other side of the wall.
i must say that their customer service is top notch if you ever encounter any issues (i did). that's why i can still say they are awesome.

Yeah they proper make a difference. I have them a little less top end cause it’s naturally too bright for me. And then cause they are sitting flat on the surface I set them to the setting that correlates to that and it balanced the low end! Proper dope feature!
@@WhoIsAlexElliott They do test a little spicy on the top end but the 1 db trim smooths it right out...

I cant really use Monitors because of naighbors making noise which I find distracting. If I'm making music out loud it turns into a sound war.

Quick question,
All Music is sitting at -6db and send to a Aux ,
Vox Bus also sent to an Aux and is attenuating the music by 2db bus via a side chain setup..
Generally if the music is at -6db , what level do you Theo the Vox should sit at to sit comfortably?
@@wadewilliams1892vocals can get a way with having less dynamics so I’ll usually stick a limiter on that bus at -6DB and if I need more volume I’ll parallel compress the necessary vocal or use saturation.
