Hi, I'm Frederique Bros, I'm French/Australian, and on this channel, I do reactions and commentary and occasionally I share my sarcasm and jokes! I love finding the best on social media about the news, celebrities, influencers, TikTok and of course women. I upload weekly, enjoy and share the love x
What do you think about the ‘new Madonna’?

When do you usually upload new videos?
@@cosmefulanitoo2625 you can activate the CC option in the video.... I think she has an adorable accent!
I think it's all about shock and publicity and she still wants that. The trouble with facelifts I've seen is surgeons pull the skin around the shrunken bones. It's the bones that age 😕
@@cosmefulanitoo2625 oh my gosh how rude just rude.
What's most unbelievable is the 100s of comments here and in the video about how Madonna is "supposed" to age: She "went too far" and is no longer "natural" looking and she didn't "age gracefully." People, LISTEN to yourselves. You want to dictate and bully her for what YOU ALL feel is acceptable for an aging woman. That IS ageist. You're all telling her she's lost that right because she's "too" old and you don't like her results. Madonna has been criticized for her looks and how she's dressed her entire life and she knows it will never stop. It's so sick when women drag other women down.
I don't get her accusing people of ageism when she clearly doesn't accept her age herself.
Exactly!
This! So sad. Despite all her dance moves and bravado she seems awfully insecure.
She doesn’t go after anyone else … just herself on age . Think she is perfectly entitled especially if it is making her sick…
It’s confusing 😂
Yes, you definitely don`t get it. That`s the whole point! The world does not accept a women to be old so we have to get younger...
I can't wrap my mind around a mentality that makes a person think that looking like Donatella Versace is better than just being a human woman aging. Madonna is the one who is ageist and she also is the one punishing her body for aging over 40. There is nothing strong about her behavior. That is a weak, insecure person under all that surgery and fillers. A strong woman would have found a way to keep performing and being creative as she naturally aged. Every photo of her showing what she would look like if she had allowed herself to age naturally was 100% more appealing and beautiful.
I agree 100 percent !
Janet Claire - hands clapping here !!! Well said. As a woman of 59 I'm told I don't look my age. Even that being said I have thought maybe getting fillers in my cheeks to plump my face a bit. I certainly don't want to look like Beetlejuice- she needs to put the pills away. She creeps me out. Freakish is what comes to mind.
She’s going to end up looking like that cat woman who is always featured in those plastic surgery gone wrong videos.
Some think she was only marginally attractive to begin with, also. Makeup helped.
Plastic surgery RN here: a Lot of fillers, probable buccal fat removal (Always a terrible idea), face lift, general aging, etc. You are correct about her being a ‘creative’ personality but her massive ego is getting more difficult to take. Constantly trying to be young is exhausting.
Do you think she had her jaw reduced? It looks like it to me. But you can do that with a simple app nowadays. Either way, it's a mistake. She had such a good face shape.
True so much pressure!😊
If she’s so against aging and “ageism”, why is she having all this work done? Apparently she’s ageist against herself. 😢
@@cosmefulanitoo2625 This is EXACTLY it. These people are dictating how she is SUPPOSED to age. To say she's not strong or has a massive ego because of what she chooses to do to her own damn body is beyond ridiculous. Why should anyone LOSE that right because of their age? It is the definition of ageism. I really hate seeing women tearing other women down.
So true.
We are our own worst critics. It runs deep.
I believe she is the ageist, not those fans pointing out her unrecognizable face. She succumbed to the “ must stay youthful” mantra and took it way too far.
All that money and yet little wisdom for a mature woman. She could have pioneered a 'no surgery' approach which would have been a protest against the pressure women face to look eternally young. I disagree with the channel host in that I don't think Madonna was particularly talented, she was in the right place at the right time and made use of sexualised content to become popular. I would compare her to Patti Smith who has let her her grey and is not bothered that she looks her age - she relies on her actual talent.
Unfortunately, she herself doesn't celebrate women over 45 by trying to look 20. Public pressure must be so hard on her, much harder even than on the rest of the women. I would have been nice if she embraced her age a bit more naturally. That would have send a strong message. She still is a living icon. Love the way your eyes sparkle when you talk about her. you are a true fan! Keep up the good work Dominique!
True and she is not over 45 but over 60 😅
13:56 Hay Frederique, yes, I have always been a big fan of Madonna. I think she has lost touch with reality. She could have been so beautiful still, but then again..she is Madonna, she had to do things differently, not so?! Definitly not something I would do, but hey what ever floats HER boat🤷. She is most certainly in a world of her own.
Ps..you look beautiful and radiant after your surgery, but then again you always have🤩❤
Yes, but 45 is when women start to age.
You can turn back the clock, but the clock still keeps ticking
Talk about ageism! She does everything she can to appear younger or at the very least ageless. That no-eyebrows look is really ugly imo.
😂
You are so funny! Poor Madonna. She probably had loads of people in her inner circle lying to her saying she looked great!
Truth!❤️
Thank you lovely, I enjoyed making this video x
@@cosmefulanitoo2625 You barely manage being kind. Frederique has a mellifluous, charming way of speaking.
@@cosmefulanitoo2625 I'm Australian. American right-wing ding-a-lings just hate women.
I grew up with Madonna too and my friends and I copied her look. I've never been beautiful and never worried about it. I always thought of myself as reasonably attractive with a good personality and I was fine with that. Now I'm aging naturally and I can accept it because I haven't got so much to lose and I still have my personality. For a famous woman, who was beautiful in her youth, ageing must be very painful. I feel for Madonna.
Girls in my hignschool class emulated Modonna’s fashion looks from videos and movies, but I thought they just looked rediculous. I wanted to be unique and not try to be popular by wearing those things. Instead I sewed my own clothing designs, so when I did meet Madonna some years later at a nightclub in NYC I was comfortable talking to her as a person and not as a fan, unlike my girlfriend who was so excited that she could barely contain herself. We had a nice conversation and she invited us to another club, but I did’t really care about that. Madonna had to make appearances at different clubs as part of her professional promotion contracts and my impression was that she found it to be kind of a drag.
She wasn't beautiful at all. Lots of care and pretending.
That right .
I like the photo you showed of what she would look like. And if she had allowed that to be her face there are more flattering make up shades, than the dramatic shades she wore when she was younger. A real stand against ageism, a *real* meaningful stand against ageism would be to age with strength and health and a love of make up hair and style and to continue to enjoy being Madonna. To age, but to be unapologetic about it.
Oh wow! Love your comment ❤️
Thank you x
women who truly advocate for comfortable aging: Jamie Lee Curtis, Justine Bateman, Frances McDormand. All beautiful, wise and strong still.
To think that she came up with a cream line a few year ago. That shows that she didn’t believe in that line either.
Her ego makes her out of touch with herself. She is projecting her own self doubt about aging. No, not doubt. She hates aging. My heart goes out to her and to all aging women who are judging themselves negatively.
@@cosmefulanitoo2625 Yes they do. Absolutely and deeply, women need to hear other women say “We understand and you really are okay.”
Yes but she is Madonna after all ❤
Madonna is right about one thing….once a woman is over 40-45 years of age…..she’s no longer relevant.
It was articulate up until "you won't break my soul." There's the egotism. No one's trying to break your soul. Actually I don't care that much, and I guess many others don't prioritize what Madonna is doing in their lives either. But she thinks we do. She IS talented, but not that likeable. It's unbelievable that she doesn't really understand her industry after so long. Let me quote Fergie's song: "I'm glad my Daddy told me so. He let his daughter know." P.S. I met a sound engineer who has worked with Madonna in the past, and he confirmed that she is indeed a b-tch. In his opinion anyway. But she's still talented. So many great songs. Her contribution can't be ignored.
Madonna should listen to the words of the iconic George Harrison, “All things must pass”.
@@cosmefulanitoo2625So what?
@@cosmefulanitoo2625 everybody dies someday
😅
In 2009 Madonna appeared on the tv show Saturday Night Live, she was in her early 50s, alongside Lady Gaga who was then 23, Madonna looked amaaaazzing!! Practically zero difference in their physiques. I don't know what has happened to her, yes her appearance is disturbing, but it is her behaviour that is the most peculiar thing, she acts more like a spoiled, silly teenager goofing around in her bedroom, free of any responsibilities. She strikes me as being lonely, trying to recapture some earlier golden period in her life when she was known for being rebellious and ballsy. Now in her 60s, you would think she had something else to say. besides, the world has changed and things have moved on, I hope she finds some purpose and peace.
I’m sure she adores her kids but imagine, a continent away, responsible agencies gave Madonna parental rights over orphans. And those children have had to grow up through Madonna’s succession of boy toy ‘boyfriends’ and this descent into madness because she cannot face getting older. Children benefit from some conventionality! What they have lived with is very disturbing and disturbed. Another adoption horror story papered over by wealth.
The one reinvention she hasn't been brave enough to demonstrate is ageing. She looks like a different person.
Hi Frédérique. I really appreciate the respectfull way in which you presented Madonna. I too am a huge fan but I have been put off by her social media posts and her appearance. It's very sad. I wish she could find a way to embrace aging. She was such a great role model for us in the past.
Getting older is so much easier for men. Grey hair on their temples makes them look "distinguished". Did anyone say that about women? I understand that for a woman, who is famous, it is a problem to lose her looks. However, it ought to be done in a more delicate way. Perhaps here in Europe, the doctors are a bit more careful. A friend of mine had her eyelids fixed. The plastic surgeon said to her in advance: " I will tighten your lids just a bit. You will look well-rested and fresh, nothing more. No one will even notice you visited a doctor." And no one has. - Thank you Frédérique, you are charming, vivacious and so amusing. I love to follow you. Take care, hugs.
How can she criticize ageism when she is having a hard time aging with all these fillers.
Despite all this, I hope she comes to Australia for her new tour. This would be my first Madonna concert and I can't wait for it. Imagine being 64 and still being able to go on tour. That is impressive on its own.
I am not a professional psychologist, nor psychiatrist. However unfortunately, my mother, who is an artist, struggles with schizophrenia, and I've witnessed terrible things close hand (and obviously it's a hundred thousand times worse for the ill person). I look at these images/videos of Madonna and I see mental illness, and it's tragically uncomfortable to watch. My mom is lucky because she has the support around her and is brave enough to confront her issues, to get the help she needs. Most people, in her circumstances, aren't that lucky. I don't think (and again, I'm not a professional), Madonna has schizophrenia, but something is certainly wrong with her mental health. What I've observed at a distance (Britney Spears for example, Lindsey Lohan - similar but different), is that when you have a famous creative talent, who is making serious money/has some power, and are surrounded by people who benefit from the money/power, the artist rarely gets the support they need. It's already difficult to recognize the problem and know what to do if you love that person. But when that ill person is surrounded by the wrong people, it's really tragic. Yes, Madonna has made a career through provocation. Yes, she likes to push and creative boundaries, and go through cycles of renewal in her personas. Yes she appears to be a narcist that feeds off of fame. Yes, she's brilliantly talented (and genius often borders madness). Yes she's under huge pressure in the entertainment industry to remain "young". But, in my unprofessional opinion, I think all of these things and more have driven her to become seriously mentally ill, and she needs help. I hope she gets it. A tragic example of how talent, hard work, money and power can't guarantee happiness and health in life.
I have to agree with you on this one. Madonna and I are two weeks apart in age, and I have had minimal work done, no facelift at all. I think I will stick to my resolve to continue with the decisions and lifestyle I’ve chosen. However I am not in the limelight like her and I feel compassion as to why she is try so hard. And you are right, I truly feel she is dealing with health issues along with everything else ❤
I noticed when she was dancing that she has definitely gained a significant amount of weight. I noticed it most pronounced in her lower half. This is usually what happens to all of us as we age and go through menopause. She was right to criticize her her fans for her treatment. However, she could have done less surgery and been so much more beautiful. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for a women to age under the scrutiny of the public. I truly feel for her. Madonna and I are the same age, so I understand going through menopause and all of the changes our bodies go through.
Actually, she got a rather bad BBL on top of butt implants.😑
I understand menopause very well myself. I don’t like it one bit. The hot flashes are paralyzing…..the cold sweats are painful and the weight gain is distressing but I’m getting a handle on that. The two times in my life when I hated my body was at 15 and 55. I’m getting through menopause a lot better than I got through puberty and the monthly period and excruciating cramps. She must be going through a tough time to do that to her face.
I’m a big , very big fan of Madonna. Her artistry and her ability to stay relevant says a lot about her drive. I’d say in my opinion she was really good (physically I meant) right up until her “confessions” tour but something just changed after that. It could be pressure from the industry or something else but she just morphed into someone unrecognizable ( her face and her body). Hopefully it is not because she was sick.
I never thought i would think this about Madonna, but she looks like she is on drugs in these videos. Her behaviour is so unbecoming for a woman in her 60s, she seems removed from reality and in a world of her own, it's hard to stay 'relevant' under those circumstances. Even her speech at the Grammys, is she still going on about being a shocking rebel? Things have changed Madonna, you are no longer shocking!
Hmmm I think she takes a lot of ‘vitamins’
That's it! She was a beast! I thought she was so strong and fit and still doing what she loved. She looked fabulous. I, too, think something "happened ".
You are a breath of fresh air…. You are so kind and have a lovely manner ❤
Our bodies change in the sixties . I think it starts slowly from menopause. Madonna is an icon . I wish she would of shown everyone , aging Gracefully is okay 👍🏻
Great comments. It is so sad. Also I love the pictures at the end. You are an amazing example of aging beautifully! Thank you for your channel, and I love your posts!!❤❤
You are so welcome!
Super informative! Thank you for this!!!
Madonna energy into concerts is incredible and contagious 💋💝
Catherine Deneuve. Best example.
Madonna was always outrageous. Never been a fan. Keeping you waiting for three hours at a concert is just plain rude. There’s maybe one rock star I’d wait that long to hear and that’s Paul McCartney. But even he would never do that. When I heard him, his band mates took a break, but Paul stayed on stage and kept performing. Pure class.
I was born in 1966 and loved Madonna! the pics with her without the surgery in my opinion were beautiful.
We would all really show respect to Madonna’s talent if we stopped talking about her looks. You can be lost, depressed or not, with or without plastic surgery.
Stay away from the fillers unless ya wanna look like a blowfish
Madonna probably likes her new look, that's what matters.
I totally concur! It’s really sad to watch. She could have done very subtle treatments to maintain her looks. She basically erased herself with whatever she did😮
Either Madonna has no one close to her to advise her against so much plastic surgery/filler, or she was headstrong and did it anyway. Madonna does regret it, because now, according to DailyMail, she "is currently undergoing procedures that will restore her natural looks." Probably dissolving some filler.
She looks so much better and is recognizable in the "aged" picture of her that Frederique showed. She should have left well enough alone. I wish for her that she someday finds happiness and contentment with her appearance.
This is only my thought. When a woman has so much beauty, talent, & attention. It’s strange, if not extremely difficult to fall back, and become unnoticed. Yes. It’s called age ing. Our skin ages, but not our soul. I think she’s just trying to represent what she still feels inside. Now. You and I both know that it’s a natural progression as a human. It doesn’t mean we have to like, nor embrace it. The hands of time never slows down for anyone. That being said. Madonna has money to have the surgeries to alter this natural process. She has the gumption to move on, and try new things. Do we all agree she is still carrying herself well………..hmmmmmm. But, she she likes it. Making lemonade out of lemons. Her journey, her choices, her legacy. So be it!🕊
😊
There are plastic surgeries then there are plastic surgeries. She could have opted for a vertical facelift. Plastic surgeons have had twenty years now to evaluate the effect of fillers and the best are ditching them. With all that money she could get the best instead of the shoddy work performed on her. For the record, I believe she tried to parody Tik Tok videos and ended up being a parody herself. She seems to take her inspiration from Cindy Sherman but has none of Sherman's perspicacity and shrewd eye. Instead of challenging the sexism and ageism of our society, she has ended up unintentionally reinforcing it by making people think she has lost her marbles (another form of sexism). She is actually more like the women depicted in Sherman's recent portraits of herself in the guise of ageing celebrities which indict a culture which expects women to be ageless. Madonna needs to think more about what she is doing, and do a better job of understanding the medium she is posting her performances of her aging to, because they're not good. Love her anyway.
Madonna is beautiful and still has it!
Thanks for this video. I am Madonna's age and have loved her music and admired her but these past few years, I just turn away to avoid seeing her and her bizarre behaviors on social media. I agree with those who say she cannot accept aging and becoming irrelevant, but she is part of the trend where individual characteristics of faces are being lost due to what I have seen referred to as the Khloe Kardashian effect and the plastic surgery destruction of so much beauty of all kinds. Such a shame.
Her hairstyle and outfit and shaved eyebrows were not helping matters. I love Madonna and have always been so impressed by how she always managed to reinvent herself, but I agree she seems to be having a breakdown. There are things it would be better to not see, and in Madonna's case I think she is having a hard time with not being at the cutting edge, and because of our times if a person wants to go public they can even if they shouldn't. Britney Spears is doing a lot of this these days as well. I think her problem is that she is for the first time coming off as desperate. Her grace and confidence are missing much more than youth.
It looks freaky. I wouldnt have recognised her. Atleast Cher still looks like Cher. And Dolly Parton had a lot of work but you cant mistake her for anyone else.
I’m thinking of making a videos about them x
I always wanted to stand firm by her against sexism and ageism but she makes it so hard now.
What a shock seeing what Madonna has done to herself, why!! She is so beautiful without any surgery 😡x
Those who criticize her for the new face - simply miss their childhood version of Madonna. Naturally aged face could resemble more that version visually, BUT the rejuvenated/modified face is actually more about our childhood Madonna - the rebellious, adventurous, good looking and cursed by the masses for her methods and her looks. She is exactly the Madonna that I love.
I grew up with Madonna too. I have always enjoyed her music, and am respectful of her talent. However, there has always been something "not quite right" morally and spiritually. I know that is an unpopular take, but I stand by it anyway. They say you get the face you deserve. That doesn't apply in all cases, but I have seen women in their 80s who have aged naturally and I would consider beautiful. The trouble is being inauthentic. She complains about "ageism" yet tries to make herself look 20. Her aggressive style of sexuality might have been tolerated when she was in her 20-30s, but now it is simply strange.
I am 60 and find young men seem to enjoy spending time talking to me. A woman who matures well does so primarily because she develops her inner world. If you demand attention with aggressive sexuality you have to accept the fact that not all men like that behaviour - even in a megastar. If you have used your life experience well, nourished your inner world with books, and reflection, and you look presentable, attention comes to you even if you aren't seeking it.
Lose touch with reality and reality will become a cruel mistress.
If she let it all go, people would critisize that. It will never be good enough what she does and you know what, who cares! She can do whatever she wants to do and she does! Love her for that and she looks great!
I honestly feel bad for her. It must be a very confusing, unhappy way to live your life. She was so beautiful and talented back in the day! I hope she finds some peace with herself.
as far as we know, she is partly reversing this process for the expected new tour...but her incredible journey to become an icon and queen of pop continues
But she is kind of the one who is being ageist by not embracing her own age and acting like a drunk teenager. 🤷♀️ I’m so tired of people calling everyone misogynistic or ageist or bigoted because they’re unhappy with themselves. I don’t think it’s Madonna’s job to tell anyone what opinion they should have. It’s very clear to me that she’s not actually proud of her own appearance and behaviour- otherwise she would not care what people said.
Too much could be a poem for us all or a song !
Too much of alcohol, drugs, surgery, or trying too much, over doing style, nails, hair, etc...
We are in a society of exaggeration, overdoing sports, overdoing food addiction, overdoing vitamins, overdoing fillers,
The only thing we are not doing enough is caring and loving others and ourselves enough!
We will all get older, end up wearing confy shoes etc... We will all lose the fight with gravity ! Now let's do it staying smart, and with reasonable intentions. We have been leaning from these past 15 years. That too much and anti ageism can become an obsession, a drug. It can do the reverse get us ugly and give us these weird face ( bogdanoff brothers RIP).
Less is more. Having good friends and support is crucial.
And RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH, the right dermatologist, surgeon, procedures
Merci, like always 🙏 Miami in the place ! ❤

Madonna looks like someone on prednisone treatments.
Moon face
@mirianakovachevic748 One of my family members takes this when she has flare-ups. You're right it's a moon face.
@@monermccarthy7198 After receiving dozen of " urbazone" injections as a treatment for horrible urticaria, I had that moon face for some time.
I agree - Madonna doesn't look like herself. I was never a fan - until I saw her in Evita. That is still my all time favorite musical - and I don't like musicals! She absolutely did a phenomenal job in that movie!!
Madonna has always gone for shock value, whether it was in her looks or behavior.
That first side by side photo of her younger and how she would look now without anything. Omg, she’s still so beautiful! I mean she WOULD be still so beautiful without any help. That photo reminds me of Catherine Deneuve, whom I’ve always thought was one of the most beautiful women in the world. She still is.
As for Madonna, she is extremely talented and driven, which seems to rub a lot of people the wrong way, which is their problem, not hers. I can’t pretend to understand why she went so far with the face fillers but I imagine the pressure to remain looking like she is still in her twenties is intense.
Madonna, if by some miracle you read this, you don’t need to cow tow to the industry that way. You are one of the only people on the planet in that industry that can just show up looking young, old, fat, skinny… purple or whatever and you’d never lose even 1 fan. Music producers know that you are an icon. Not just any old icon but one that 100% deserves to be praised and adored. You worked your ass off for decades. You never let an audience down. Your talent is untouchable. You do you, as you always have. Just be safe and happy and we got your back!
Alcohol use makes a puffy face, too, I think. It's poison 😪
French* actresses look so effortlessly amazing after 50+ (Isabelle Huppert, Vanessa Paradis, Fanny Ardant, Irene Jacob, Julie Delpy, Juliette Binoche, Anouk Aimee, Charlotte Rampling, Sophie Marceau, Monica Bellucci, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Isabelle Carre, Audrey Tautou, Anne Parilaud, Jacqueline Bisett, Carole Bouquet, Kristen Scott Thomas etc).
Fillers, not only Madonna, but 99% of those who do them, Hollywood, all get that balloon face. Everyone starts to get that one look if you know what I mean.
I was a fan when she first came to New York City back in like 1983-84…..about the same time Whitney Houston’s career was taking off. I remember it well because all the girls wanted a pair of Madonna boots. I outgrew Madonna back in the 1990s. To me, she was just a fad….that came and went. I’m not surprised that she is still at it…..doing concerts, etc.. I hadn’t seen her in a couple of decades and a friend told me that I have to google her and see what she looks like now. I can’t recognize her….If my friend hadn’t told me that was Madonna…..I would have never known. It’s her face. If she wants to ruin it…. ….more power to her. I think she’ll regret it in about 10 years or less. I could see where her facial skin was pulled back to her ears. That’s rough.
I love Madonna too. She's an icon. Point blank period. Hopefully she can reverse these surgery errors. She does not need to keep up with any younger people. They're the ones who need to aspire to reach her level. Thank you.
I remember when she looked real.
I too grew up with Madonna whom I adored, how sad, she was so but so beautiful❤❤❤
People forget that negative opinion about how a person looks shall never be said, it is a politeness matter.
I am a HUGE Madonna Fan, I Love her.... some of later photos reminded me Billie Eilish ---- note. I absolutely LOVE Billie Eilish as well, .... it was just my initial reaction.
We must remember Madonna never hides nor limits her creativity and deep emotional influence.... 💕🌷
In my opinion, the changes in her face are very much linked to the woke idea of gender fluidity, which are not restricted to male and female. This aesthetic, which distances the human reference from the face, can be observed in several "artists", who are increasingly resembling something extra-human, or trans-human. And there is a whole medical and pharmaceutical industry that profits high from the constant interventions, and people like it are influencers of the behavior of the masses. So I think the changes to her face are intentional, they belong in a market pitch, and she's making a lot of money out of it. After all, we know that since the 1980s, she has never done anything without an intention behind it.
p.s I am not against cosmetic interventions, plastic surgeries etc. However, common sense and parsimony in the acquisition of these interventions and the search for the most natural result possible are enemies of consumerism, and it is this that makes people hostages of a meaningless search for eternal youth and the profit of the great medical-pharmaceutical industries to increase every day. more and more. So, i think the non human aparence changes on her face belongs to a global mega consuption agenda.
Very interesting observation and probably spot on. I also think she had that bucal fat removal so popular with the Korean trend of a v shaped chin/jawline.

Yes Natalie, she sold her soul decades ago, and is doing what the masters want.
Surely with age should come the ability to understand/accept the physical changes in your body? Be proud that you have lived so long that you have wrinkles!
I still remember Holiday video❤❤❤
Let’s show her some grace , it’s very difficult to age in the public eye.
Thank you for making this video. I am also a huge Madonna fan and i’m very happy that your acknowledging how she’s changing for the worst as most fans get very angry when someone talks about how awful she’s been in the past few years.
The words of Madonna are very powerful, they make us women feel supported and understood, but her actions...not really😢
Well, I think she is just lonely and not really in sink with the profound fire she had been once. On the other hand: so what?!? Who is nowadays in sink with themselves as it used to be 10 years ago. This all makes me think about our own state in 20/30 years.
I have a comparison here re. the aging, who all are motivating and inspiring me much more though: Mylene Farmer, Linda Rodin, Inès Marie de La Fressange🥰🌞🙋♀️💞🌟😍😘😘😘
I'm getting close to 50 and when I was a teenager I was excited because I thought with the amount of Baby Boomers there would be more role models for aging. Madonna has always been a favourite of mine for her outspokenness and creativity. As for role models for aging, I'm sticking with the ever-elegant and sassy Helen Mirren at age 78 and the wonderful Iris Apfel at a glamorous 102. Thank you Frederique for your videos, knowledge, and je n'ai c'est quoi! 💖
I’m not against plastic surgery. Beautiful women take advantage of it to age more gracefully and prolongue their artistic careers. God knows they have that pressure in their shoulders. I think the problem is that she is trying to stay current with times and make herself “tiktokable” or “instagramable”. To me, she looks like a Kylie Jenner wannabe and that is sad when you are already an icon in your own right.
She needs to take a trick from Cher. She has done plastic surgery, but she is still iconic. She still looks like Cher. I am so sad, Madonna has done different things to her face. She can have the best.
Cher is a dude. She's even admitted it.
,,Yass mama smoking that crystal light” comment really got me 😂🙏 Great video, thank you 🤩
You are so welcome x
what does it mean then?
A couple weeks ago on NPR, they discussed this issue. I listened and honestly was not sure what to think. Fast forward to this video, and now I think I understand my thoughts. I think the statement you read from the article on her thoughts of women in the industry is true. I have heard it from actresses of the Black and White movie Era, Bollywood to and dance. But her actions do not match what she said in that statement. It would be interesting to hear what plastic surgeons believe is wrong with people who overdue plastic surgery. What is going on the inside? Is it arrogance? Vanity? Depression?
Men have plastic surgery, yet they're rarely discussed. When they are a celebrity, like Mickey Rourke, they will receive lots of affection and none of the sexism that female celebrities receive. Women are criticized when their plastic surgery, or liquid surgery, is botched, or for looking bad, not for erasing their wrinkles or attempting to arrest father time. And only women age; men are said to grow old. That word aging is itself sexist. It's a way of saying that a woman who is old does not count.
Who wouldn't take stock after being subjected to such cruelty (subtle as it is). A woman's age is not supposed to show once she passes 40, and in Hollywood being 50 and over is held against an actress (however well she's looking). Think of how Lesley Ann Downs played Jack Wagner's mother on the Bold and the Beautiful, despite only being five years younger than him and better preserved; better looking. He'd never be cast as her father.
No, it's not vanity (the vanity is men believing that they can be cast as the sons of women five years younger than them). No, it's not arrogance (men believing they look fine the way they are is what is conceited). Women, alas, blame themselves for not being perfect.
I saw Madonna in 1993 in Sydney for her first concert, and I have never forgotten how amazing she was. I was also a super fan.
But after her 4th album I started to see the cracks and got over her. Now she seems too far gone for me to care.
In my opinion, if she had stayed closer to her true features, I could have accepted her other craziness.
Yes she is amazing on stage!!! She recently announced a new tour
@@ms.frederique Are you going to see her again?
The devil's collecting his dues.
It’s a luxury to grow older these days - so much killing going on worldwide - a lot of young ppl losing their lives over nothing it’s so sad… we just all gotta appreciate life and show grace and gratitude to our creator and the universe every day always !
Thank you;)
Ttfn
Ps.. I absolutely adore your accent - I could listen to you talking about anything all day in a month of Sundays with no complaints !
Hello Frederique! You look amazing! Best wishes from Budapest.
❤
Little late to this party.. appreciate the careful way you approach this topic. I think there is a lot of concern and empathy we have for what we perceive in someone whether that is from an intuition we get or from something (likely behaviors and appearances) that signal us to feel those concerns.. Inherently though we are always trying to understand even though we are making a lot of assumptions and projections. I hope in my heart that she and many creatives who are up against massive challenges (of which we will never understand) to find peace in their journey ~ and forgiveness. I try to soften my concerns with what i see in society and especially social media with this hope. I cannot fathom the challenges musicians, performers, actors, celebrities go through.. life can present enough things to deal with without being in the public eye (scrutiny). I am reminded in particular of Michael Jackson also here… we get to let the love stay with the feelings they brought us through their art.. let go of the rest and hope for the best. I have danced my heart and guts out to both of these humans music and would bow to the art they brought through to this world to inspire and uplift so many. They are shamans in my seeing it 🌌
She needs to sit down, grow up, and let younger famous women have their turn now. 🤦♀️ I'm not ageist, but Madonna just seems so entirely self absorbed. 🤷♀️
I agree entirely. A pathetic, scary pitch to stay relevant. Almost demonic in these disturbing videos. I feel she must be somehow starved for personal attention in her private life. No one who is truly loved and truly loved her kids could do what she is doing now. Unless she is having serious mental health problems which is looking more and more likely.
She’s lost her mind. She was at the crossroads all women reach and opted to go the wrong and worst way. Vanity doesn’t age well, self respect is always beautiful.
Madonna was a pop artist who wanted to free women out of their traditional rules, but can not accept to age in a honest way ?
So, in my opinion she bings herself in a position, that make it diffucult to believe in her words in her songs.
For an really "free" woman it is possible to age in an honest and naturally way.
There are some women in Hoolywood, who look much better than Madonna, without filler, botox or plastic surgery.
❤❤❤Love Madonna! I grew up listening to her music and watching her grow as a performer. Sometimes people who go into plastic surgery don’t know the exact outcome. They end up looking completely different. Maybe that’s the case for her. I don’t know. It’s hard to watch someone like that being in a spotlight and criticize. My heart breaks 😢
IKR 🤔🙄😒🤨😠👎🏻 I have been listening to Maddona's music since I was before twelve years old. It was a small record My mother had. I have ALWAYS LOVED Madonna ever since. Even bought a magazine talking all about her and her life and music career. Haven't read it yet. I don't think she looks that much prettier with the surgery. Je ne sais pas, je ne sais pas quoi dire d'autre. I love you, Fred! 🤔🥰🤗💖🇨🇦
Madonna is a legend she is just having fun. People need to focus on their own lives.
The fear of getting old and not accepting it, this is a big problem for women in the show business. Although, I am not against plastic surgery, but this is too much. Too sad, that is why I got out of show business many years ago.... Although, I do understand what Madonna is trying to project-to prove, to empower women, has she has been doing since she started her career. She wants to tell women to live their life.. In otherway, we never talk about men, and their Rudiculus plastic surgery or Behaviors, so I do understand totally- what is Madonna is trying to prove!.. I am sad for her..Merci, Frédérique.
When people age you are not supposed to look like another person. Accepting yourself regardless of what others think is the most beautiful thing
Love Madonna! Madonna is an icon! Talented singer, dancer, producer! Have always loved her music & shows! Always an entertainer!
Thanks Frederique for sharing, this is really so sad to see & hear about what the media & socials are doing not only to Madonna but a lot of stars!
Yes it’s worrying to see a star like Madonna possibly falling off the rails like others have done before her. The superstars are still human after all! We could never know what the fame, fortune, social media & tv, print & paparazzi does to someone living under it their entire lives unless you’ve lived it personally! I’d never wish for it myself! I’d imagine at some point it has to take its toll which might be what’s happening with Madonna 😢 but then again maybe she doesn’t care and she is posting these posts because she can she’s Madonna 🤔
or perhaps something more sinister has happened? An Illness or starting to see the affects of what too many fillers built up in her system so close to her brain might be doing to her brain?
Keep in mind how many women are having their breast implants removed due to the long term immunodeficiency issues the implants are causing! We won’t know the long term affects of Botox & fillers until many more decades have passed! Breast implants are near the heart whilst fillers are near the brain 🥺
I guess the proof will be in the pudding; if she continues to write, perform & produce good music or not 🤔 I do really hope she is ok 🙏
it is heartbreaking to see stars under so much scrutiny or anyone now really! social media adds a hundred times more pressure than before when it used to just be TV & print media 🥺 people need to be respectful with their comments 🙌
BTW the before & after if didn’t have surgery pics may be the new SnapChat filter? If the filter is close to what we will look like perhaps it can help change peoples mind and show them that ageing is natural and everyone will age and we are all in this together 😊
But she posts these pics of herself - its not paparazzi chasing her down for photos!
Honestly believe that it’s a combination of surgery/filler and pain … look at how she moves -as a paincronic I recognize this and she has been a dancer her whole life … my guess corticoides and serious inflammation….
Yes, she injured one of her knees on a tour and I don’t think it’s healed properly.
I was a professional ballerina and I am a few years younger than Madonna. Most dancers are in a lot of physical pain by her age from forcing our bodies so hard. I can attest to this pain myself! She has to be in some kind of pain from performing so much for all these years. Knees are the most painful if injured.
And BTY your accent is driving me crazy. I could listen to you all night! Best of life to you.☘️
Attention whether good or bad is still attention. I think that Madonna is trying to stay relevant by altering her appearance and acting weird. She had enough sense to remove certain videos so she is of sound mind. It’s about what gets the clicks, staying relevant. It’s hard growing old but it’s also such a blessing
Let's talk about the side effects of smoking marijuana every day. Weightgain, addiction, withdrawals, irrational behavior, dangerous behavior.
Stop glorifying that crap
And devil worshipping.
Madonna's face and hair were beautiful before she started having procedures on her face. Now, her facial expression looks blank in the videos you showed, she doesn't look happy. Sad to see this.
I always imagined that Madonna would age into an industry mogul in a Chanel suit, wheeling and dealing, looking like that second simulation you showed. Not someone still trying to look like a college boy's dream, but a power broker. It hurts to see this.
me too!
Madonna was a groundbreaking talent, but not one I ever considered beautiful. She had her own brand of attraction, quirky, interesting and innovative which had more to do with her style rather than any intrinsic beauty, and she had quite the punishing fitness routine, which kept her physically youthful. But the less fat you carry, the older, more haggard the face looks, so the fillers began, and the face lifts and the fat transfers, and the lips, eyes cheeks etc (Dr Amir Karam' analysis) but for her to decry agism and misogyny is stupid, as the person who has the biggest problem with both is Madonna herself. She destroyed her looks, and clearly has body dysmorphia at this point but I feel there may be other mental health issues troubling her. It's very sad to imagine that she felt compelled to go this route when her fans would have continued to support her without, and at only 64 now, I can't imagine how she will cope with continuing old age...🤔😟
We just need to pray for her. We All are on a Journey. I don’t think we should just show All her pictures and talk about her. 😢 People are aware of her change. Maybe if You are having a concern that send her a DM of encouragement. Much Love and Blessings to her. I pray for her Salvation as I do for All of us and that Father’s Will will be manifested in every area of her life In Jesus Name Amen. 🙏🏽💛🥰 I grew up watching her and she is Beautiful. I do Love the pictures of her aging naturally. Best for us all. The Lord renews our Youth. Psalm 103:5
Comme toi je suis une mega fan de Madonna.
Je retourne la voir cette année à Amsterdam
Mais cela me rend triste de la voir comme ça …
J’espère juste qu’elle est heureuse 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Fan for Ever ❤
