I like how they inserted animated versions of Vincent and Yuffie into the final scene since they were optional characters and thus not in the original ending CGI.

Hell, no ones talking about how they actually nailed fear into this shit. Clouds speech talking to Zack before the Zack flashback is so damn realistic. Him nailing that he's so fucking scared is actually genuine.
Justin Briner really does a good job.
Honestly, Zack’s final words in this joke series are 10x more poignant than “protect your honor as SOLDIER”.
Technically those weren't actually Zack's final words. Those would be, " You are my living legacy." Which Zack says to Cloud right before he ultimately dies from his wounds.
Let this be a lesson to you, Sephiroth: nobody f***s with the white mage.

Yeah Shiva isn't dead, they basically don't have her phone number anymore.
One little detail I love is how before fight with Hojo, any time his name was mentioned, Vincent would go into a rage and scream “HOOOOOJO”. After, Vincent is able to say his name normally, signifying that Vincent has moved on. Love the effort put into the small things. This was a perfect end.

@@kingdynal7735 If we go by OG logic, without theories etc, then Sephiroth did bring Jenova to him by his will and he overpowered her will with his own so yes he did kill her, by mind control of Jenova during that time and very much with intention. If Cloud had killed Aerith, it would not be blamed on him, as he would do it against his will and while being mind controlled. It is kinda vague and theories of Jenova being in control have gained ground over the years, but every time you give Jenova credit, Sephiroth loses status as a villain.
Whatever remake decides to do with it, we can only wait for. Also, since the bodies actually turn to lifestream upon death (somewhat), Cloud was the one killing her >_< by drowning. So it kinda has to be taken with a grain of salt.
And this quote is big for what they're doing in the remake. I'm excited for the next parts.

Really love how they didn't clown the serious moments
Antfish and Lani (and whoever else did writing work) are really great at letting their characters breathe. Its something you can see develop over the course of DBZA, where they transition from slapstick to character comedy as they gained more and more confidence in their characters and the natural humor they had. This was them showing off their writing chops in a big way, still funny but letting the characters they made exist as they are, drama and all.

When cloud admitted he was scared I just started to cry, especially when he said tell me what to do. I always just did what people said and fed them whatever they wanted to hear whether it was half truths or lies. And always did what I was told, then when no one is around and I dont know what to I feel lost and sad knowing I've never done anything for myself that I really wanted to do just like a soldier following orders. It's gotten better for me but seeing that scene just hit me hard .

Agreed her words speak a lot of wisdom and care that humanity should use and hold onto wisely.
If only the millions of lost ones could hear this message once again..
to play the devil's advocate: it can also be twisted to suit ones purpose or based on one's perception of the meaning. One's belief of what is good doesn't always match others. I think it's important to hear and listen to these messages, but it's also important to listen to all sides before making a decision. It's part of what made the Sephiroth fight in this so good, they took the time to listen to sephiroth spell out why he does what he does and why he thinks he's good, but ultimately is not. It's a bit of an ambiguous line, but it's perfect from Aerith's perspective as it still shows a bit of her naivety to humans.

TFS are just the best at making parodies. They don't just stop at making jokes about the stuff they parody but they also completely understand everything about the original thing (what makes it great). That's why they're so great at making any parody

Well, they did kinda already use his best limit break on Hojo. So his bag of tricks was empty at that point. Same with Cait Sith. They already made a gag out of his second limit break. And then Yuffie was always optional, regardless.

The reason is because if you paid close attention to the dialogue in the game, they make two things very distinct & clear: 1.) the planet is very angry and upset with humanity and 2.) ultimately it would be the planet's decision to keep humanity around after holy. The final cutscene where Red XIII and his cubs leap upon the cliffs with a ruined green Midgar was purposefully left ambiguous, at least until Advent Children came out.

The first time I finished the game I really thought Aerith saved the day for completely, otherwise there wasn't any point in her appearing at the end (just after everyone already gave up hope) with the power of the lifestream (changing even the background music from catastrophic to soothing).
The Red XIII scene never made me think twice because:
1) It only shows Midgar.
2) That scene happens 500 years later. Lol. If the Meteor had destroyed everything, not only humanity would have been destroyed, everything would have perished, including Red XIII.
I love that they changed the script on Sephiroth's "purpose" and made it super deep. This "movie" was freaking AWESOME. And i love the nods toward the Advent Children movie. Freaking love it. I'm nerding so hard.

FF9 would be legit great graphics and story , I feel this style of story telling is lasting because how simple the graphics are . Seriously think about it cute timeless your focusing on the story when graphics are simple and perfect/ not over detailed the story line stands out game play matters of course . Zelda on SNES as example .

You can count me as agreed that TFS did a great job on this series, but let's not neglect to give respect to the people who created the actual storyline also. And TFS really didn't change a thing about any of the plot, this is literally how the game's story goes (with some colorful dialogue options added here and there-- but yeah Cid is basically the exact same way he used to be in FF7 original lol)
I can’t wait till this virus shit is over so they can hopefully continue unabridged, the episodes of that show are fucking hilarious and I would love to see more now that this and DBZA are over.
