Just used this one! Was battling a tension headache from my shoulders and neck. I am amazed at how quickly everything released when I laid down. Now my headache is almost undetectable.
Finding your channel has helped me realize practically all my migraines stem from my posture, sleeping habits, and exercise needs. After high school they got really bad and I was put on medication for them. I have a pinched nerve under my right shoulder blade and the skin around that area is completely numb. It's been like that for I don't know how many years. Last time I went to a doctor he kept asking me what I think the issue is and then said "you're posture sucks." Didn't suggest anything, just tried getting my insurance to approve an MRI I didn't need.
Hey all! So I haven’t been consistent with this particular exercise but lately I’ve been more self aware of my posture and doing the chin tuck exercises and my neck hum has definitely shrunk! So far it’s been about 3 weeks.
@@michellecorrea5823 I would stand with my back against a wall at first getting used to the strech feeling of my head, shoulder blades, butt, and heels touching the wall. Sitting I would choose to stand when possible. If I had to sit make sure its up straight and not slouched or leaning way back. Avoid looking at your phone to browse when bored, it's really a strain on your head leaning foward. I went through a periods of headaces for years, not sure if related. But headaches are gone and posture is way better. Consistent exercise with consistent correct posture is better then higher reps counts or weight.

I am improving my posture greatly by using the BackBridge a couple times a day for only a couple minutes. As a pro photographer, for 45 years I have leaned forward. Not good. But now I am getting much better.
Thank you. Your videos always have information I can use. I am heavy chested and my shoulders are starting to round. Even when I try to sit or stand up straight my chin is raised.
Oh man. I have this issue. Forward head posture from poor posture when using my laptop. My "hump" gets super tight and I get major headaches bc of it. There's definitely some fat and muscle fibers over it. It's not *huge* but it's definitely noticeable.
I had the same problem, and I let it go on for a year. It was very painful on my neck. I did get the headaches as well. I started physical therapy. They really do help. They worked on the knots in that area, which I didn’t realize that I had. They really relieve the stress and pain. Maybe you should look into it. Ask your primary care physician.
Something I've noticed is as you start correcting your neck posture you'll sometimes have to conciously try to relax your neck mucles. I noticed that even though I had the flexibility to retract my head back my front neck muscles would still be very tense just as a habit.

Thank you for this! I’m only 24 and I have a hump in my neck. I wasn’t wearing my seat belt about 4 years ago and my head cracked the wind shield in an accident. I was young and of course didn’t go to the hospital. It was shortly before I conceived my first born. 9 months later when I had him was when I noticed the hump for the first time. So I’m definitely going to try this later!

I have this.. My Dr didn't even know what it is been on waiting list all this time.. 3 months later I see your video I can at least try something to ease the discomfort.. Thanks guys 🙏🏼❤️ 😊
I have a back injury from a car accident and I've had so much tightness and inflammation where I never thought I was going to get better. I just did this for the first time and it loosened up so many muscles for me.
I just did this for the first time. Set out my yoga mat and could really feel resistance on my left side as that is my clicky shoulder. Hopefully my foward head posture and double chin will improve over time.
I've always had forward posture, mostly from having JRA and always keeping my knees at an angle to prevent soreness when they're straight. Then I had a shoulder injury and it's all gotten much worse. Went to PT and got into a better space but it seems to have gotten much worse. At least the headaches aren't back yet. I'll start using this and adding back all my chin tucks and yoga
If you take 2 tennis balls tied in a thick athletic tube sock the less stretch the better (or sewn in for customized spacing ) it is possible to do both sides of the spine at once.

I've heard that tightness in that area also effects how much you can stretch back, and would the tennis ball be too harsh for those areas?
I wear certain clothing to hide it and it's very painful at times and I get pinched nerves frequently, it's brought my self-esteem down the side view is embarrassing to say the least, I hope this works because I'd like to simply be able to wear a tank top without feeling like I'm exposed a lump on the back of my neck and always having to wear turtle neck type of shirts, also to take this pain away would be amazing!!
I tried the tennis ball, mens crotch protection and metal broomstick. The broomstick imo works the best. With tennis ball and crotch, it takes a long time.
