A year ago my husband was taking down a 10 ft ladder from the rafters in the garage. He lost his balance which caused his arm to hyperextend backwards while guiding the ladder to the ground. My husband has seen an orthopedic doctor (this doctor was completely useless) and is currently getting chiropractic treatment since physical therapy was making his shoulder pain worse. Chiropractor believes the tendon was stretched too far, and now is rolling backwards because of not getting treatment in time. But I know from all your previous videos, how extremely helpful you guys were to me. Now let's hope this information is beneficial to my husband.

Very sorry to hear your husband has gone through this! Yes, we don't recommend doing anything that causes more or new pain, so hopefully he is getting the proper treatment now.

Thought I'd share my experience. A little over a year ago I had pain in my shoulder blade. It kept getting worse even to the point of very painful involuntary twitching. I was told it was coming from my neck. Sounded a bit odd but I didn't know what else to do. I had a few brutal "adjustments" done. Eventually things returned to normal. To the best of my knowledge it was a result of my sleeping position. I'm a side sleeper. I switched to the opposite side and things are much better. Hope this helps someone.

Perfect episode for me. My shoulder hurts after a 20 min walk or driving on a bumpy road. Pretty sure it's a pinched nerve, but as an American iin a HMO, t's hard to get past a GP Dr. to see a specialist. If I go to the physical therapists can they refer me to a specialist? Or, at least get me an X-ray.

There’s a reason we have the phrase “pain in the neck”
In English. We know what that means. It’s so true! I love this channel, so no contradiction here , but sometimes you need to address the “pains in the neck” metaphorically not just physically (and other places) to get rid of the physical problem as well.
I formerly mountain biked and passed men in the trail (with the coaching and encouragement of by hubby) and a a few years into COVID and many hours at the computer could not even walk Well because my right foot felt like a club. It took a year of just being able to walk normally then several months of increasing weight bearing exercise and stretching to feel more normal. I also had to get rid of a problematic client from my business and similar. Oh my, I could talk more than an hour on this! It’s been such a life learning experience. In my early 40s I can see how a life of experiences can build up in the body. There’s too much to share so I will end in happy to reply though. Thank you guys! 🙏🏻💗 long story short, I feel so much better and closer to my optimal state!

I have upper trapezius muscle tightness which for some time made me think I had neck pain. To alleviate the pain I laid on my stomach in the prone position and had put my arm up in a shoulder flexion as. if im flying like superman. The left side of my neck was th painful side so I place my l left arm forward. Lots of trial and error the neck stretches gave me relief for a few minutes FYI I am a stroke survivor and have left sided weakness.

@BobandBrad "Possible rotator cuff injury", but nothing that shows on X-rays. Didn't get an MRI, because I do not want surgery. Had PT-- helped quite a bit as far as regaining strength, but still do not have full range of motion that I had had prior to injuring it (tripped over my dog, and landed on a curb). Re-injure it frequently reaching over my head to do things, like pick fruit.

    • @9871ish

pretty much any damage/tension on the nerves around and leading to the brachial plexus has the potential to affect the entire arm. I have chronic pain like you describe that affects most of the shoulder as well as the ulnar nerve and my 4th and 5th digits on the left arm.

@@sleepinglioness5754No official diagnosis or treatment unfortunately and I spent 2 years with all the relevant doctors in my state (which is small to be fair).
What works best for me is a lot of low intensity stretches and resistance exercise to keep everything as loose as possible. I try to incorporate weights, but i've overstrained so many times at this point that I usually avoid lifting if I can and just stick to using my body weight and resistance bands.
Heat on the neck or shoulder can help too. It comes and goes, but it almost never gets to unbearable levels anymore and the feeling of weakness in my arm is pretty much nonexistent.
