    I’m Korean but grew up in the US. So yeah, bento for me was peanut butter and jelly sandwich in a brown paper bag 😢😭🤪
    But I do vaguely remember bento boxes in my short years in Korea. Even the silk blankey for the bento boxes. But they were nowhere elaborate as today’s fo shizzle.
    And did I see the tofu pouches stuffed with rice??? 😮.

    • @MariesKawaiiWorld
      @MariesKawaiiWorld  4 года назад +5

      You have to pack it in tightly and carry it carefully if possible!! I think that's why you always see Japanese bentos being stuffed to the brim. The rice and seaweed tends to keep it shape though because it's sticky.

    I can understand why the schools would ban them. At that age children do not understand that they aren't the center of their parents attention at all times and it can really have a Negative impact on their self-esteem if they are the ones left out of not having these elaborate lunches made by their parents.

      Those warnings are overestimated, most foods will be fine past that amount of time if they are stored cool at room temp. Those rules are meant for restarunats where they serve hundreds of ppl so the chances of spreading something are higher. You can be much more relaxed at home.
      Also, most of the foods are cooked, and lots of japanese food is preserved, fermented, salted, pickled, etc, so there is no worry about those foods going bad.
