I know the titans are on the way out but you can get a 4 door, 4x4, 5.6L V-8 400hp, for $38,000. Why buy a single cab Ford and deal with all the recall issues Ford is known to have for only $2000, you could have a 4 door truck with similar performance.
it honestly should come supercharged for 42k, there is nothing in it but a tv screen, no heated seat, no sunroof, probably no leather why are we still paying more for less? buy a 10th gen and coyote swap it with a supercharger for 15-20 k maybe shoe horn a 10 speed, its a lighter truck and all for 23k lol
Now this might be worth going for! $40K for a nicely-equipped basic V8 pickup truck is a bargain these days. And for those who think even this is too expensive, maybe you should examine your own poor life choices that you’ve made over the years.
I'd be concerned about the 5.0's reliability now that Ford has added cylinder deactivation and "spray on" piston liners. And of course, they're dropping their most reliable engine choice - the 3.3.
The supercharger add on from ford, drops the auto shut off and no more cylinder deactivation. Full warranty and I extended mine to 90,000 miles. All dealer installed and ford part numbers. No issues yet, a lot of fun and I get 21 mpg when I drive it normal. It’s a lot of fun when you press the pedal down though. I’m more about the smiles per gallon in the end
The only thing is, if you build & price a 2023 xl single cab F150 and add the V8 for $2,560, you come out with a total MSRP of $36,535. $35 less than this truck you showed. So sadly, with this base model you're not cheating the system and getting a deal, you're just losing the V6 option.
I brought a brand new 23 from long MacArthur Ford with the supercharger on it, they not telling you that the truck will only run 105 mph if you remove or tamper with the tune you void the 3-year 36,000 mile warranty. When you get the truck with the supercharger on it you no longer have the powertrain warranty. Not for sure about the Ford performance one that Ford is making from the manufacturer or will it run over 105. It does have 700 horses at 6800 RPMs but you can't go past 105. To put 700 horses on a vehicle that you can't use, is very misleading and it makes no sense.

The problem is the base trucks are never available. The $36000 truck you are talking will never exist in the real world
As stated in the video, and like most anything worth having right now you have to order it.
Right and stealerships at their mark-ups and add-ons. We know how this works we've seen it first hand.@@TestDrivenTV
Well you have to find a good dealership. They exist.
Too bad they dropped the max payload package for all F-150's.
They made a few moves that push people who want higher payloads and towing up to the Super Duty line.
I get it, I've had 3/4 ton trucks for the last 30 years. I bought a max payload 150 a few years ago because it can do what I need it to. The difference is my 150 has almost double the fuel economy than my last 2500HD did. I don't like being forced back into spending twice the amount on fuel. @@TestDrivenTV
@@allanrheaume5549I agree 💯. Ford missed a big opportunity here
If you need that lowered Supercharged Regular Cab, let me know. We will be ordering them and continue to make our Lightning Bolt.
Will it come with a Limited Sleep Diversion system?
What?
@@63Imp283
Does it come with a differential system like the GMC Sierra (LSD)?
good
I just looked this up in Canada...its standard with the echo boost..with the upgrade to the 8 cylinder canadian price is 54000...the 8 cylinder is not standard its an upgrade..54000 for an XL...not interested..36 yes 54 not a chnace.
@@RichardDay-n2o my 2005 Ford Escape is still running strong in Southern Ontario 312,000 kms
And it will haul almost 4 bags of groceries!
It’s still going to be over 40k.. I think I’d rather a lightly used mustang gt and an actual work truck instead for that price
Henry Ford said you can have any color you want as long as it’s black 😊
That was the joke :p
And most people don't know why he chose the color black.....it was the one that dried the fastest so that production could go as quickly as possible. And that is your automotive trivia fact for today...
This is a compelling truck with a 5.0....
Hard to justify paying $45,000 plus for a base truck when only a few short years ago they were under 35K OTD
Suggestion: Manual transmission option
Well I do not like cyl deactivation on ANY motor. It will be trouble. Any and all
If you could get that engine in a very simple Ranger without all the electronics, it might be inexpensive enough to be a 2nd car grocery-getter!
And the average person will never need 400 hp.
I know the titans are on the way out but you can get a 4 door, 4x4, 5.6L V-8 400hp, for $38,000. Why buy a single cab Ford and deal with all the recall issues Ford is known to have for only $2000, you could have a 4 door truck with similar performance.
It's a good deal if you can get one!
it honestly should come supercharged for 42k, there is nothing in it but a tv screen, no heated seat, no sunroof, probably no leather why are we still paying more for less? buy a 10th gen and coyote swap it with a supercharger for 15-20 k maybe shoe horn a 10 speed, its a lighter truck and all for 23k lol
Oh sweetpea, are you just not aware of what new vehicles cost today?
@TestDrivenTV Modern vehicles ingeneral are wayyyyyyy overpriced for the average buyer mate.
This sweat pea can take 10-15k and outrun your 100k truck and that's buying a roller fox or S10 to slap a built 6.0 in
Now this might be worth going for! $40K for a nicely-equipped basic V8 pickup truck is a bargain these days. And for those who think even this is too expensive, maybe you should examine your own poor life choices that you’ve made over the years.
What's so great about a $36k 2wd truck? Lose all the electronics & sell a basic truck with manual everything, maybe it'll be affordable!
Let me know when you get that under 60.000
I'd be concerned about the 5.0's reliability now that Ford has added cylinder deactivation and "spray on" piston liners.
Base models with a TV in the dash no roll up windows etc etc. Yeah no thanks.
I had a post removed because I said what's so great about a $36k 2wd truck?
No. You didn't
Still too much for an absolute stripper base model pickup.
Thanks not new....... you've been able to get that for several years. I have a 2022 RCSB with the 5.0
But now it is standard equipment on the cheapest model ;) That's the news silly.
@@TestDrivenTV semantics, it’s always been an option so it’s not anything new.
We never said it was new sweetheart. The news story is that's now the base strip model
If only I wasn't perpetually broke.
Smart move by Ford
Too expensive, lose the fancy electronics & make a basic truck, hopefully a lower price & higher reliability.
I have a great idea , let some blue collar worker guy in construction design a damn work truck
LOL it's calling STD trailer😂😂😂😂
It's what BMW does with a lot of their cars. Limit the model to a few packages, most everything else is standard.
400hp is standard these days 😅 no longer muscle
I brought a brand new 23 from long MacArthur Ford with the supercharger on it, they not telling you that the truck will only run 105 mph if you remove or tamper with the tune you void the 3-year 36,000 mile warranty. When you get the truck with the supercharger on it you no longer have the powertrain warranty. Not for sure about the Ford performance one that Ford is making from the manufacturer or will it run over 105. It does have 700 horses at 6800 RPMs but you can't go past 105. To put 700 horses on a vehicle that you can't use, is very misleading and it makes no sense.
It's probably also about safety. The truck with a short wheelbase and a really light rear end not not be going over 105. #darwin
$37K is a bargain now. LMFAO!
I kept thinking I was gonna see a truck with a standard transmission. The word standard is used a pretty good bit.
Oh sweetheart time that has passed since a manual transmission was offered in F-150 is measured in decades.
#GM @GM take note, we only want the $$$ into the drivetrain and basic options! If I could get the 3.0L duramax basic everything with 4wd or awd and a manual would be awesome!
Muy importante 😂
