    Thank you, how much does political affiliation and participation matter for SES selection compared to GS positions.

      Political affiliation should have nothing to do with SES selections; members of the SES are covered by the Hatch Act. And in fact, some agency SES postings include very specific language saying that any mention of political affiliation in your application package will eliminate you from consideration.
