Idk why but I am particularly obsessed with the countermelody the end of the line “Now stand for whosoever holds yon might,” presents to the original track. It’s so good.

In the game, Rouxls actually heavily misuses olden english. What with the whole "thoust fools" instead of "thy fools" kind of thing, and that is essentially part of the running gag of him finding weird ways to fit the word "thou" into his speech.
But in this song, I think MOTI decided to give them a pass and just use olden english more closely to how the words are meant to be used. Which makes it even cooler. Granted, they still use things like "faceth me" and "greatere" which don't exist, but are used by Rouxls in the game, so they didn't completely get rid of the funny speak.
And that is awesome.

It's Pronounced "Rules" is a huge highlight of Chapter 2's soundtrack for me, so it's great to see the song come out this amazing, you guys did a fantastic job!

Alexs Performance of Rouxls is deeper, grander and makes him more of a threat, however Upgraded moon presents Rouxls as more wacky and Boastful with his Rollings of the Rs and Accent duality. Both voices are equally perfect for the character!
To be fair, the last time we were closed in an area because of spikes, and now we're fighting a thrashed thrashing machine floating in battery acid...

As much as I loved Alex's voice for him, it definitely sounded like, to indirectly quote a comment on that video, "drunk mettaton at a renaissance fair", and Moon's sounds more like I imagine Rouxls would.
I hope Rouxles somehow becomes a full antagonist in one of the later chapters, possibly on an alternative route and his attack patterns are a mix match of all his previous puzzles. I just think it would be fun and I have a feeling Toby would pull something together like that.

- is "related to" a smaller, stubbier character who often makes jokes and has a good relationship with a tall female monster
- tries to set multiple puzzles in the way of the protagonist
- works under a more serious character who attempts to kill the protagonist
- is theorized by some people to be much more powerful than he seems

I just realized, the Rouxls Kaard in these song actually uses mostly correct grammar when using the thou/thy words. Albeit mixing it with some pirate speak.
In the games, on the other hand, Rouxls repeated misuses of thou by just plugging it into every word are essentially a running gag.
I'd say, you guys were pretty merciful with Rouxls.
Of course, you do use "faceth", "greatere" and such (which don't exist xD), so you didn't get rid of the funny aspect. Which is cool.

It's amazing! Though Alex's Rouxls voice will always be my favourite, this new song is absolutely perfect as well and I'm glad to see more of one of my most favourite characters ever!

Yeah, Jordan (Upgraded Moon Productions) really does a great job with this. In my opinion, every cover so far has been great!
The reason why a different person is voicing him is because he is doing a different accent. If he comes back in another chapter with a bad accent they will get a new person to cover the song.

GOD if there’s one thing i absolutely ADORE about one jordan upgradedmoon playing rouxls is just. his ability to go completely OFF THE WALL whacky with it. jordan has such a very specific humour style that isnt something that’s shown off a ton with characters he plays on MOTI and it feels like he just so naturally slots into the role of rouxls because of his ability to just go utterly batshit with it. rouxls in this scene of the game is at his most goofy and jordan is absolutely the PERFECT person to embody that. he’s absolutely STELLAR at playing high energy comedic characters and i really would love to see more of it on MOTI because i have never met anyone who comes CLOSE to capturing his very specific vibes and humour.
I’m surprised that Alex isn’t singing this, but gonna be honest, I like this new voice better. It fits Rouxls very well and the singer does an excellent job with those rolled r’s. Props to y’all!!!

I had been trying to mentally prepare myself for Severus Snape sailing the Seven Seas, so I was pleasantly surprised to have this heavenly voice grace me instead.
Jokes aside, Upgraded Moon did phenomenally with Rouxls' voice & what I would imagine his inflection to be!
Oh my god this is amazing. The vocals are done beautifully, the art is amazing, you stuck to the rhythm which is hard with this song, it’s catchy af, and I will be hearing this in my head for the next 3 days. MHMHMMHMHMHMHMHHHMHMMHMH ITS GOOD

All of these lyrical videos for chapter 2 have been absolutely incredible. I was so excited to see how you would tackle some of these masterpieces, and yet you still managed to make them even better. I'm hoping to see A Cyber's World or Sound Studio with lyrics, but nonetheless I'm super happy with all of these songs so far.

Every part of me was filled with immense hope for Roulxs showing up in future chapters, and I popped off very hard when I got to this segment and realised what was happening.
And then I popped off harder when he got a full banger of a battle theme, and further hoping it would get the lyrical treatment, which was worth the wait.
Plus he looks VERY dashing and perhaps… cool, in this artwork.

I love how he sometimes slips into sounding like somebody off Coronation Street (soap opera), I choose to interpret that northern (considered less fancy) accent to be his true natural speaking voice peaking out from behind all the try hard theatrics
It’s nice to see a interpretation of Rouxls’ voice which stands up to scrutiny by a British person, I feel like his entire character gimmick (faking aristocratic mannerisms in order to appear of a higher class than he really is, and sycophantically serving whatever the local dominant power structure is to try and get status, despite being entirely useless) feels very at home in a lot of British comedic traditions, so it feels right even outside of the obvious “well that’s where people spoke Medieval English” angle

I love how in the recent era of Man on the Internet, people get casted in roles I never expected them to pull off, but they pull them off so well. I never thought Tom Previte would be able to play characters like Doopliss or Spamton well after hearing how spectacularly he pulled off characters like Count Bleck and W.D Gaster. I never expected Alex Rybitski to return at all, let alone play a character like Berdly. And I CERTAINLY wasn't expecting Upgraded Moon Productions(The voice of Napstablook, Chrono and Daniel, all fairly plain characters.) to play such an eccentric, humorous character like Rouxls Kaard. But I was proven wrong. Again and Again. I appreciate that, for once.
I was actually re-listening to Lux Tenebras before this uploaded. To say that I was stunned to hear Upgraded Moon here too for this song would be an understatement. Jordan, this is a lovely surprise!
