- In this episode @adventureswithtoyahandmurray fly the Myvi from Melaka City, out of town to stay at a homestay airbnb (Tehel Farmhouse) in the State of Malacca, we take the Myvi King on a drive across state borders to the town of Tangkak, in the state of Johor, Malaysia.
We drive through Bemban and Jasin, have lunch at a vegetarian restaurant in Tangkak and stroll through the town, admire the architecture of the very old buildings and discover what a great place this is for fabric shopping!
We make friends with a Kitty cat and tour the airbnb.
Next time we have a totally epic, action packed, adventure road trip all the way down the West Coast of Malaysia to Batu Pahat! It will be a longer episode so make sure you have snacks 😁

I climbed Gunung Ledang (Ophir Mountain) once back in the 70's. Tangkak town is the entrance to the mountain which is the highest in the state of Johor. Has a waterfall with a few pools up there. We had a tough time climbing it and camped a few nights up there next to one of the pools. Naturally it rained in the middle of the night and the tent was as good as no tent. Thanks for the flashback of Tangkak town.
Wow! That sounds so cool, except for the tent part 🤣 has the town changed much since then? It felt a bit like stepping back in time with the old buildings, fabric stores and not too much traffic.
@@adventureswithtoyahandmurray Cant really remember tbh. What I do remember was the food we ate in Tangkak was cheap and a huge double sized glass of teh tarik was only RM0.50 cents. Waiting on your next fun vid.

Gunung Ledang is a good place to camp, hike and enjoy the waterfall. I think now there is a another site designated as National/State Park close to it.

Tangkak was the place where i was born in 1963, my childhood was there, few years later moved to Labis,, (now reside in Singapore since 1990), you should visit Labis, there, got hot spring and waterfall (Takah Melor) and don't forget the yummy food in Labis too.
I think Tangkak would be a nice place to grow up. If we go back to the area in the future, we will visit Labis, sounds cool 😊

If you reach Johor, please visit Muar and Batu Pahat. They have a lot of beautiful places and historical buildings. Not to mention, the food is fantastic!
Our next video is actually about driving to Batu Pahat, we have a delicious lunch in Muar on the way and look at the historical old buildings explore the coast road and do several activities in Batu Pahat, it’s an action packed episode and should be ready to watch in the next couple of days 😁

How do you find it so far driving to explore the country? Don't seem to be very challenging
The roads are very good and everyone has been nice to us. There are mechanics everywhere if we have a problem we can get it fixed quickly, we had a flat tyre a couple of days ago, from a screw, we put the spare tyre on and drove to a tyre shop, a guy fixed it and changed the tyre back in about 5 minutes, it cost $10MR.
@@adventureswithtoyahandmurray any plan to explore Sabah and Sarawak? It will be slightly challenging in those two states
@@zuhrinazamahmad9980 we want to go there at some point, but we won’t take the car there, so we won’t be able to see as much without the car.
@@adventureswithtoyahandmurray you guy still can explore the two states extensively without the King but I reckon it will be costly and your travelling schedule would be very much depends on others
