That's what I was just thinking. They did a really good job with the cleaning but it would be really nice to see what it looks like once he actually restores it.
They were originally small neat chrome bumpers. The giant rubber ones had to be added for the American market. They also had to increase the ride height. Spoilt the look IMO.
The car will be after mid 1974. I had several Midgets including one of the last produced metal bumper models with the round rear wheel arches ( probably the prettiest model made) . The rubber bumpers were introduced during 74 to meet US safety regulations, which ironically ruined the handling! Thanks for the trip down memory lane guys ❤️
@@chadalcock7275 when he asked the question in the beginning I automatically said 1978 but it sucks he didn't tell us at the end I genuinely wish he would've bc now it has me curious
Again, congratulations on hitting 100k, already up to 115k!! I've been here with y'all since I believe you had 300 subscribers or so! You both deserve all the success and happiness! Keep up the good work!!!
Seeing this MG Midget brings back good memories... a girlfriend bought one brand new in 1975 and it was fun riding around in it. She bought it at Jaguar Cleveland - probably not in business anymore. Thanks for bringing another one back to life. Hope he gets it running... like I said they are fun.
Awesome job. I've been watching and subscribed for about 6 months . You guys always make whatever car you are working on look like new. Love the older cars that you guys work on. Keep up the great work.
When cleaning seats outside the vehicle I noticed that the seat just wobbles (as it was in here so you had to hold it) I went Menards and got a 2x2 piece of plywood off their scrap file and just bolt seats into that now. Makes it so much easier to clean the seat outside the car.
Just discovered your channel and subscribed. Nice work! Aluminum foil, folded up and lubricated with water works wonders when rubbed on surface rusted chrome. Hard to tell how damaged the rings were, but I’ve personally never had luck with a polish type abrasive. Looking forward to enjoying your content!
The fact that you guys can turn the gnarliest and most tragic looking cars into something beautiful is incredible y’all are insanely talented love your videos and I hope you come out with more
That was an awesome detail you guys are the 1st ones I've ever seen that's actually done one of these cars.. Would definitely love to see a 3rd generation Iroc Z or And eighties Trans Am
AMAZING video!!!!! I was drooling the whole time....I have wanted an MGB or MG Midget since I was old enough to know what a car was!!!!! I STILL want one!!!!!
Congrats guys. Hardwork Pays Off. I started watching you when you were 10k i was recommended your vid and i absolutely loved it and till date loving your vids. Keep Growing Guys. 🔥🔥
Loved it, especially the exterior. I know you said a lot of people like the interior cleaning, but to me, there’s nothing as exciting as watching paint come back to life on an old classic car. If I had to guess it’s age, I would say 1962. I haven’t been watching you guys since the beginning but I have been watching for a while. I only subscribed maybe two weeks ago though. I really enjoy your videos. You guys do a great job.
Loving these videos!! Oddly satisfying to watch someone else clean lol 😌 Would also be cool to add a visual comparison of the clean seat vs. dirty seat 😄
Great job! I started to subscribe just about a week ago, and I find your videos really satisfying. It would be cool if you where able to do follow up videos on some of the projects, if the owner decided to fully restore the car.
I've been a subscriber for few days now, I'm not really into cars or anything like that. I just love how satisfying your videos are. All the way from SA 🇿🇦🇿🇦
I'm a new subscriber and I love your content. 2 young lads doing what they love! I'm an OCD guy so, this is my paradise! I really thought it was an Triumph Spitfire, maybe around '78
Awesome, I drove one of these for 2 years in the UK as my daily driver, some time ago now (2011 ish) however, never failed me once, ran like a dream in all weathers, did get a wet right knee when it rained but that was part of the joy, great car, good fun and damn reliable. best guess yours would be around early 1970's due to the interior , split screen support and the rubber bumpers, great to see, I loved mine but it had to go as i was requiring a better vehicle more suited to higher mileage due to work, bloody shame. Well done guys, keep them going. Great work.
Hi WD Detailing I love your Channel and I love All Of your car detailing videos and I love your music and I am so happy to see you guys again and I love you guys and I’ve been here since the beginning and I am a new subscriber and this car is probably about 15 years old 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Haven't got the faintest idea how old this car is. But, I love you guys to death. Haven't been a subscriber since the VERY beginning, but preeeetty close.
Would be nice to see the full restoration when completed.
That's what I was just thinking. They did a really good job with the cleaning but it would be really nice to see what it looks like once he actually restores it.
That Midget looks so much better with those bumpers off. Nice job guys!
I was thinking the same thing!
They were originally small neat chrome bumpers. The giant rubber ones had to be added for the American market. They also had to increase the ride height. Spoilt the look IMO.
The reactions are the best! I’ve only been a subscriber for about a month. Y’all rock. Good kids.
The reactions are the best part for us too. I always smile while I edit them 😂

Knowing MG electrics, after that under-hood spray, it'll never start again!!
True lmao happened when my girl took mine
I think it's late 70s.
One of my friends had one in high school. GLORIOUS FINISH.
you guys really go the extra mile
I have 2 of these sitting behind my shop, a 69 and a 78.

I love the color! It’s awesome that you guys were able to bring this car out of the grave :)
I love that you guys don't have to have a high-dollar machine for every step... sometimes just a good brush does the trick. Good job!
🔱👍👏✌️
Parabéns pelo ótimo trabalho de vocês!!
These WD Barnd Find videos are incredibly relaxing!
I have been here from the beginning watching yall is so satisfying

I’m about to buy a 75. Special edition, it’s in way better shape! Has a clutch issue. 1500 bucks. Metal bumper
You guys gave that cute little car her dignity back. From just a forgotten, dirty, headed for the scrap yard junker, to a hot little mama sweet ride!
Fabulous guys! Hugs from Brazil.🤗🤗🤗🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
