    What a cracking job, well done, lovely restoration mate. Love a nut and bolt through restoration.

    Beautiful results! I restored an MG Midget all by myself, doing as much of the work as I could, (everything except machining of engine parts), and it took me 4 years. Of course, I had a full time job too.

    Gorgeous car. You make it look effortless, and whip through all those subsystems like they're easy. Skills and knowledge I wish I had, to be sure, for restoring my Sprites!

      thank you for your comment, it is doable, but actually needs patient and plenty of time, you can learn everything on youtube, I agree on video looks easy but in real life, there are many issues that need to be figured out, and you can always consult youtube.

      Great work. Question: If someone has no space, the knowledge or even the time....how much would this cost? I mean, maybe only the paintwork and some pieces of welding? Maybe you can give me an answer? Thanks....

    • @mundanestuff
      @mundanestuff 2 месяца назад

      @@frankabels5761 if you drop it off somewhere for the work, a paint job will be minimum $6k, that's after $10k to $15k in body work and parts. An engine rebuilt will cost you $4k, transmission could be $1500, all ballpark figures of course. All to get a car worth maybe $10k. It's not about flipping or the value of the car is in the driving not the sale after. Consider also what the cost would be if you totalled a small car to repair it. It's a similar process/concept. If you damage every body panel on a modern car, it'll be $30k to fix it too. The more you do yourself the cheaper.
