Ah, the problem is I bought one injector because the computer didnt say what the other one was that misfired. So the tool pulls out two at once hence the need to compress the teflon seals.
So my 2011 n55 335i convertible has bottom mount eu5 injectors but I bought the top mount eu5 injectors would I still be able to use the top mount injector since they are still eu5? I read that they switched the injectors to top mount in the newer years

I'd seriously recommend wearing some latex/rubber gloves of at least 0.5mm thick any/every time you work with any kind of solvents, fuels or oil's because it's caustic and does absorb into your skin. Don't believe me go get a little fuel on your hand and let it stay for 30 minutes then wash your hands really good, bet you'll still smell it even if you've washed really well multiple times.
Does any OBD2 scanner work? I'm planning to diagnose my car and I suspect it has a fuel injector fault from the black smoke and rough starts, if my doubt is true i want to know if i could use any scanner to code the EU5 injectors.
No any scanner will not code injectors this requires one of the more expensive scan tools or you can download protool on your phone and get an adapter.
Do you really need the tool to put the injectors back in? Seems a lot easier to just screw to plate back on= push the injector in at the perfect position?
Hey Brian if I have a 2016 bmw n55 do I still have to code if I wanna go 950cc injectors on stock turbo and stock fueling, planning on going full E eventually but I want to upgrade to 950cc for future mods.
The factory injectors will be fine to make huge power to begin with. In terms of fuel upgrades the fuel pumps are what you want to upgrade because the injectors will easily keep up.
Its the same exact thing the Bosch injectors he’s installing ARE the OE injectors because they supply them for BMW and BMW simply puts their name on them to up charge.
BMW TIS says only needed if replacing when re-using injectors. New injectors already have the ring compressed, and thus only need the decoupling element.
I installed them, but when I start it from cold it is unstable or sometimes it turns off, and then only 1 minute passes and it stabilizes, it only happens to me on cold start, once the car is warm it starts normally, does this happen to anyone?
I’ve had a bad mechanic replace all 6 of my injectors with no seals or programming it. (I barely knew any good mechanics, and I had just bought the car and didn’t have much knowledge). But my car ran fine for 6 months until the injectors became loose. I went to a bmw specialist and put seals and programmed it and to this day the injectors are fine and car runs great even with a stage 2 tune. Moral of the story just get it coded, there’s probably diff outcomes for diff people.
Just a wild guess, but I think it's because the ECU is synced to increase pressure as the injectors get dirty over age. If you don't code it, it won't know the injectors are new and shoot more fuel than you need it to. It's similar to not coding a battery because the alternator will overcharge and assume it's an older one that needs more juice to recharge.

Yes you can. It’s an Ancel bm700, pretty great BMW tool. I have a 2012 x5 n55 and a 2009 335i n54 and the tool works great for both vehicles.

In all of the inline engines cylinder #1 starts at the front of the vehicle and #4/6 is on the rear (firewall).
