Vegan Powered So true. This show motivated us to purchase a JL Rubicon for my wife and we will likely get a matching gladiator when the diesel is out. Plan on building the Gladiator for overlanding and taking the two deep into our backyard mountains of the sawtooths and bitterroots.
Wow, on the wish list. Lol. It's a Jeep thing. I have an almost stock Liberty KJ 2.5 CRD. cost £1,600 owned it for three years. Love it. Will buy a another in the future.
Your channel has really inspired me. I've watched overland videos for years now and after finding you channel I bought a jeep and I've added a few mods to improve my WNC overlanding experience
Congrats for having you Gladiator at the LA Auto Show. Keep up the great work. Marco, si lees estos mensajes, felicitaciones a ti tambien. Si no nos vemos en la trocha, nos vemos en la cocina.
I love watching the walk arounds. For my Christmas wish list, I am going with skottle, Jeep awning or tailgate table. I love setting up my Jeep for beach day outings. Pop on the paddle board and go! Thanks for sharing all these goodies. The beauty of modifying is simply making it your own. Peace and love!!
Great build! Congrats Josh...excited to see what you do with the Gladiator and the Patriot company!!! Thanks Brad...you are doing great work sharing your passion for Overland Jeeping!! You have inspired me to continue my Jeep build.
That is 1 BAD ASS JEEP ! ! ! ! I have a 97 XJ Cherokee I'm about to start modding up and I've already got some ideas based on this video thank you very much !
I really appreciate you doing all these build/builder interviews- It's inspired me to do my own "overlanding" build. It's also good to see/hear what motivates these builders to install the equipment/parts that they did. Fantastic content!!
Great video Brad! I love to see the preparation of that nice Jeep. I love the majority of the updates but a white JL with that wheels looks awesome. Thanks for another amazing video.
It was really great talking with josh at Jeep bash this past year, we have nearly identical jeeps, down to the same bumpers front and rear , the lights, roof rack, the progression of lifts, and even the interior and seat color! kinda crazy having never known him and we still did so many of the same things. stand up dude for sure and would love to go camp with you guys one day. Excellent walk around as always, cheers. Happy thanksgiving to you both !
Great walk around video again Brad although its been awhile . Josh seems like a really nice guy and his JL is super nice . Looking forward to you next video . Until next time take care .
I have a Rino rack batwing 270, exactly the same as this one in the video, the only time the awning can do what is shown at 15:29 is when the pin is broken. I have replaced so many pins for this awning.... it breaks like a snap, so easy. And then they sell you the pin for 20 dollars each.
Brad, new to the Jeep world, but not the outdoors. Love the Sierras, Santa Rosa, and San Jacinto ranges. Have hiked much of the PCT through these areas as well as our trips to our place in Mammoth. Really enjoy seeing the Sierras again (recently the Alabama Hills - Movie Road +) and hope to roll and camp there soon again. We lived in Laguna Beach area and our FJ did many miles in Big Bear, and the Saddleback areas (our back yard). Here in North Texas (I'm a transplant) still looking for places to ride and camp like Oklahoma, Arkansas, etc. New 19' Rubicon Unlimited with a lot of plans in mind. It would be great to include some of the information in your notes on the manufacturers and part names used. Really great details in the vids, and it would help newbies to Jeeps like me making an overland vehicle. Keep it up and thanks for your service.
Awesome set up congrats josh,,hey brad from my house to yours to your family an friends an trail recon team happy thanksgiving an wishing all a blessed season great video as always be safe
Wonderful video Brad, please do some more of these detailed walk arounds as they’re very informative. I’ve started watching the videos via our Apple TV, thus a much larger screen for seeing details while looking up manufacturers websites of products mentioned on my iPhone. Yes it’s a lot of starting and stopping but I’m still researching for that day I buy my Jeep.
TrailRecon absolutely useful information... Yours was the first RUclips channel related to Jeeps that I’d started watching. I want to learn what works and what doesn’t work prior to a purchase... I really appreciate the fact that you and the folks you’re wheeling with aren’t out there doing all kinds of crazy or illegal stuff. You’re respecting the environment as well as property ownership.
Brad, another great video and it was a pleasure to finally meet you at the Toys for Tots event. I hope to get to wheel with you some day. Best holiday wishes to you and your family. oIIIIIIIo
Brad...I’d love to watch you discuss when mods become too much for the Jeep frame and suspension. GVWR, center of gravity, road safety, tire wear, etc... How many guys weigh their Jeeps when fully loaded? it would be a very interesting subject matter.
@@67bigdadde I had the same thoughts exactly! If you have the means ($) then you don't have to make any decisions! Just get everything! I have some of that stuff, but I had to decide and prioritize like a thru hiker. Not hating, but if your Jeep can do everything, then how well can it do anything? Talk to a real guy and ask him why he didn't get something. Talk about trade offs, Or maybe something that he took off his rig because it was dead weight for what he was doing. Otherwise you are just a commercial.
@@rb30athorn I have a few videos on my channel such as 5 Best mods for running 37 inch tires,, Best Offroad accessories under $100, 5 Mods I would do differently, and with any luck will be starting a JL series in the near future which will start off with the essentials and slowly build up over time.
Hey Brad i really love your expedition & adventures videos, and interaction with your friends & their jeep builds. its awesome!! it has inspired me more to own an offroad Rig.
Great video. I have a stock 2018 JLU Rubicon that I am getting ready to start adding aftermarket stuff in Spring of 2020 and finally start to overland and do some camping and exploring (not necessarily rock crawling). This was some really good insight into gear for me. I think I’m starting with the Metal Cloak 3.5” game changer suspension w 37” wheels/tires and a roof rack tent setup. Thanks again for the insight!
Josh- Nice looking rig! Brad- As always love your videos! Any chance we can see a time lapse video to see camp set up, and then pack up when you are doing these walk throughs? My wife is requesting a dollar invested warning label (do NOT give her that)
Brad, as always great video. Liked the Jeep walk around and build out. Really liked the friendship you guys share. You are blessed to have some great wheeling buddies. Hope you and your family have a great holiday season.
The Magruder Corridor is an awesome road with lots of history and beautiful views. It is not difficult, but you may need a saw. Do yourself a favor and add the Lolo Motorway. Much more difficult terrain with significant exposure, and you can link the trails. Bring your fly-fishing gear!
Love the rig reviews. BTW I did the Magruder last summer on my adventure motorcycle. Great road, lot of baby head rocks. There was a Subaru Forester half through it, guy said he’d had no problems.
I’m glad I watched this and now I know not to get the auxiliary switches and to get something custom instead. I also learned to get that dual battery pack.
I just ordered recently also. Get the aux switches. There are never too many switches. Plus, otherwise it is dead space that you will eventually want to install....switches in. Use them for more static / less used items like winch and air compressor, maybe fridge.
wow super incredible . i hope a day i will be able to modified my 2017 JKU Sahara 4 doors like yours... have a nice day from Rouyn-Noranda, province of Québec, Canada

Amazing Jeep and great walk-around...thanks for sharing! I just can't imagine the cost of all the modifications...this is a 6-figure build (when including the price of the Jeep)...most folks can't afford all these items. So, this is fun to watch and dream, but it would also be great to see more budget friendly builds, too.
Awesome video guys!! I don't have a full size Jeep as of yet but when I do, and I will get one! You guys have inspired me to build up an awesome Jeep and make it my own creation 🙂 Thanks again and keep those great videos coming and safe travels.

Funny thing, I was talking to a friend, just the other day, about doing the Magruder. Every time we head out, here in NW MT, about the first thing my wife asks is "did you bring a chain saw?" Some days you don't need it, some days she drives and I just walk ahead cutting trees out of the trail.
Did the Magruder on my motorcycle (Vstrom) in August. No problem and no chainsaw needed. I could see the need for one right after the trail opens though. Saw a Subaru half way through, he said he’d had no issues whatsoever. It was a long trail with a ton of rocks.

Love to have all that on my Jeep, but as it’s my daily driver I’m concerned of all the weight.
