619… 619… 619... Booyaka Booyaka… Its been 16 years since RF VIDEO sat down with Rey Mysterio and he’s back for only one company, the King of the Shoots, RF VIDEO! This exclusive tell all interview took place only a few days after his WWE contract expired, and it is very emotional.
As soon as our cameras turned on we started talking about his final days in WCW and what really went on behind the scenes when he found out that the end was near for WCW and that WWE had bought them out. Rey goes into detail on how he was picked up by the WWE and what the transformation was like for him to becoming a WWE superstar. What were his initial meetings like in WWE and what process did he have to go through, like his time in OVW, before being called up to TV.
During this interview with Rey, we cover every one of his major storylines while he was in the WWE and Rey discusses in great detail all of his main event matches that he participated in from TV's and PPV’s including his initial run with Kurt Angle and Chavo Guerrero. Did he like teaming up with Edge early on? What were his thoughts on being back with his friends Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit in the WWE? You will hear tons of backstage stories on all of his friends, as we go into great detail on the passing of Eddie Guerrero and his thoughts on the Chris Benoit tragedy. This is first time I ever saw Rey do shoot interview and I was super impressed by him...came across as smart,no attitude and just a classy guy outside the ring...I always appreciated his talent in ring and he deserved success he has achieved..
outside of some wellness policy stuff back in 2007, i cant really think of a time were he was a problem.

Last Night on Friday night Smackdown Rey Mysterio was inducted into the hall of Fame right now.
Such a soft spoken well mannered guy, I am so happy to see him doing well after leaving WWE.

And I remember how people got mad when Rey Mysterio won the World Heavyweight Championship or beat Kane clean. Rey Mysterio was very entertaining in the ring, was incredibly over and deserved his success, but to say that WWE treated him badly is just ridiculous, he and his fans should be happy that he even became a main eventer at all which a lot of people are still angry about.

Azazel Raiden You didn't get it, do you? You said that WWE didn't treat Rey Mysterio well which is completely ridiculous given how much success he had there. And I'm not a fan of Daniel Bryan either but that guy definitely is not a whiney bitch at all. And I have nothing against smaller wrestlers, I just said that there were a lot of people who didn't like that Rey Mysterio was in the title and main event picture.
If Rey doesn't think the creative makes sense, he speaks up. WWE treated Rey very well. Not everyone can be on top all the time.
i really enjoyed a lot of rey mysterio. while i never saw his wcw stuff live ive seen footage of it. his wwe career was great i enjoyed the cruiser weight division when he was in it. i still wish he got a better time with the wwe title but business is business. i truly wish him luck with his career out side wwe
nlw1000 if you haven't already seen it you should seek out eddie v rey from halloween havoc 98. One of the best matches ever imo, phenomenal.
ive seen it a few time actually. i enjoyed a lot o rey's matches in wcw i was just not into wrestling when he was in wcw. i would not be until 2004 that i even started watching it religiously
nlw1000 His WCW work was some of his best. It was straight forward, lucha libre style and his matches with Juventud Guerrera were incredible. His WWE work didn't do justice to what he could actually do.

It's Soo true about what he said about Eddie not half assing anything. I remember watching a match with him, Rey and cm punk and there must of been 40-50 ppl there and they put on the same show and effort they would of in front of a wwe crowd.
I realize that Eddy was a big part of Rey making it to WWE and him being a big deal in Rey's journey in WWE and that they were good friends, but why the fuck is most of the REY MYSTERIO interview focused on Eddie, is this an interview with Mysterio or Eddie?

I agree with Rey Mysterio on Chris Benoit. Whatever happened happened. But I do believe that after Eddie Guerrero passed away he was not the same again. But I personally don't think that he murdered his wife & his son. They say that he did it. But I do not believe that he did it. I think someone murdered them & then hung Chris Benoit to make us think that he did it. But another thing I agree on is that we can just remember him & Eddie in the same ring with the confetti falling down at WrestleMania XX after Chris Benoit made Triple H tap out in the middle of the ring to win the World Heavyweight Title. That's how I will always remember him. I miss him everyday.
