Right now the impalas are on sale and I was tempted to give them a try since I’d be a beginner and not sure how much I’d actually use them but I’ve been seeing a lot of negative reviews so now idk lol
thank you for this review!! I decided to go for it since they're having a 50% off sale right now, and I figured if I do end up using them as much as I'd need to to make it worth spending $2-300 on moxi's, then it'll give me some time at least to save up for those. I can't go all in on every single hobby I want to try lol so I figure this is a good compromise
@@dreamboatannie-h8x Nothing bad to note yet, they seem pretty well-made to me. However I don't use them enough to judge how they hold up to hard use. (I'm in a climate where I can't really use them much of the year, so it's been months since I've actually worn them)
Super helpful! I wanted to buy some impalas because they are available and the Moxi skates are out of stock but I think I will be patient and wait for the Moxi to restock! Thank you 😊
@@RollinWithKate Thank you Kate! The Moxi rainbow riders actually restocked a couple days after my comment and I was finally able to get a pair. Thank you for your help tho
I started park skating a few years back, but when i go to drop in on a small concrete drop in, my skates get stuck. Could you do a video on wheel sizes and blocks?
Had my impalas for 5 months now lightly skating 30min-1 hour 4x a week and I’m so glad they’ve been holding up pretty well! 😭👌 but I certainly don’t look forward to them ripping omggggg. Will invest in moxi skates when they do break!
I’m gonna do the same. I actually owned moxi’s a few years ago but I outgrew them and gave up on skating. Just bought impalas to get back into it. I’m expecting much lower quality and to go back to moxi once I demonstrate being consistent in skating
hii what brand of skates do u have? i’ve been wanting to start skating just casually but i don’t wanna spend almost $100 on something that isn’t gonna last long
Hey there! I might get a pair of skates soon and was wondering if C7 skates are good enough for beginners, I’ve seen the reviews and they said they were good but I don’t know about the wheels and the stopper. Are they plastic? Also the Moxis are NOT in my price range so any suggestions would be helpful 😁
I really want to know what roller skatesvyou use for skatepark especially when you do some aerial tricks and sorts and is durable and comfortable. A review of your skates
I would not worry too much. I know many people that have them and don’t have any problems. I think you just need to be realistic. They are not for aggressive skating or skate parks. Rink skating will probably be okay and light trail skating. Definitely not for the skate park.
Overrated chinese plastic crap and a complete waste of money. Smart marketing though, also thanks to the many influencers. But not worth one dime IMHO. Buy quality instead.

Thank you so much for your honest review on impala skates Kate!

How have they been?

suregrip is a good brand too! They are usually in stock. Moonlight roller skates is also a good one, sold out right now but they do drops often.

That’s good to hear that yours have held up so long though!

Good review! I have skates for 45 euros ($54) and they do last longer than the Impala's. Oof.

So glad I never got their skates, but I did buy their pink knee and Elbow pads , but that was before I noticed so many bad reviews

For anyone buying now they upped the cost (150) but fixed the heel so it lasts now.
My Impalas started ripping at the boot in about a month with light wear (skating once a week)!
ugh I'm so sorry! Hopefully you can get a replacement

Really from my heart ❤️💘
Candi girl carlins last years at the same price point
They look repairable to me.
I would be supportive otherwise you stuck with Chinese counterparts. 😮
