- In this video we're checking out Fun Boy Three once more. Our first experience was interesting, to say the least. Considering the title, perhaps it's an appropriate tune for today's happenings. We're looking forward to it. Enjoy!

cynthiamartin....
thank you for playing this it seems even more relevant these days
Yes it does.
You two are running thru my younger years, lol. (Thanks for that.)
Loved The Specials and The Fun Boy Three (these three were part of The Specials, it's a complicated story, iirc, changing back and forth). FB3 had their biggest success with "It Ain't What You Do It's The Way That You Do It!", which they did with Bananarama. Like 'The Lunatics...', it filled up the dance floor, only with faster dance moves required.
Brilliant song from times now repeating.
Always liked Fun boy three especially "The Telephone Always Rings" and "Our lips are sealed" never played much on the radio nowadays...
We did a reaction to Our Lips Are Sealed. We added the other one to the list. Thanks
This band, The Specials and another band 'Colourfield' were bands featuring, Terry Hall, main vocalist, a great track to react to would be, 'Thinking of You' by Colourfield.
I haven't heard this track in years. Hey, I have worked in a few asylums, I can tell you.
You're right it's still so meaningful. Never thought i'd see such madness as we've seen recently in the UK govt. The More That I See was of a similar ilk with Terry still being very angry at the world.
Now that you've done The Specials & Fun Boy Three, you should now try The Colourfield song, Thinking Of You. After that you should try Terry, Blair & Anouchka singing Ultra Modern Nursery Rhymes. Then Terry Hall teamed up with Dave Stewart from The Eurythmics to form a band called Vegas. They did a beautiful cover of the Charles Aznavour song 'She'.
Terry Hall tried everything back then. Genius :)
Fun Boy Three were excellent In the days and listening to them today they are even better ✊🏻❤️🕴
Used to be the specials then became fun boy three then the colourfields .but loved all. Ralph Mctell song called streets of London. A classic.
Oh and still waiting. madness never knew your name lol
I remember this very well. I was never a fan but I must admit it sounds better with hindsight
And it so speaks to today's world.
Not sure if you have done "Ghost Town" but if not, it's one of my favourites.
We have.
Glorious stuff! A fair bit of their music is just vocals and percussion, like some crazy 80's barbershop singers!
There's only two albums and iirc, the second is more fleshed out, has more of a band. Try, It Ain't What You Do.
This is a little different it reminds me of the " HU " from Mongolia ! I liked it =) Thanks
Three members of The Specials who left to form The Fun Boy Three. This was a huge hit in the UK, but as a DJ you'd know that. Their name is sarcastic, as was my previous comment.
If number 20 means huge hit....
Loved the first album by The Fun Boy Three
Rip Terry (singer) fun boy three
So, since we are on the subject... you should react to the band NoFX, and their song The Idiots Are Taking Over.
Loved The Soecials and Fun boy three
rip terry hall
Please play Tunnel of love fun boy three its more upbeat and has a serious message. Please keep up the good work
You need a PO Box so people can send you stuff to put on your wall...lol 😂
We could certainly look into that.
@@hanierfamily plus I think you'd enjoy it...👍
@@hanierfamily Yes i agree =) What time is your live stream on Sunday ? I have to work Sunday morning =(
@@barrycounts490 we were thinking from 1pm - 4pm EST.
Was this featured in a John Hughes movie??
It had to be in some movie, somewhere. It's so familiar.
@@hanierfamily Why does everything have to be in a movie? Most songs aren’t in movies. Perhaps you played it as a DJ, although I can’t really imagine that, as you don’t seem to have heard hardly anything
@@hanierfamily perhaps you should react to movies, you may hear some new music.
There was no war in November 1981 when this song was released as you claimed....please check your history
Still relevant
Fun boy three didnt last long, pity The specials had to break up.
The politicians....its always the same every generation....lunatics...
