Or a failure with the steamer maybe, LSL do seem to run a 47 with a steamer on most tours but on the rear normally

The steamer had worked up the bank and shut off just before to tunnel, the 47 was on tick over by the sounds of it or working very lightly I believe bud

@@InterCityBR when I saw it going through Wellington the 47 was making a right racket and 45231 seemed to be coasting
