In the 1980s a man working at a factory could comfortably buy a house in the suburbs, have a stay at home wife and raise 3 kids with no issues.
Today to have that standard of life you'd have to be making well over 300k a year to find that same level of purchasing power that a factory worker had in the 1980s. How many jobs or for that matter how many people make over 300k a year?
People our age can't really complain about this either, we constantly voted in these policies, no one raises their voice in protest as they've been increasing the money supply like drunken sailors the past 20 years. The younger generations have more cause to complain because they didn't help cause this situation.
Back in the '90s, people used to go hang out at the mall -- not "shopping", not doing anything in particular, literally just standing around and talking and laughing with your friends. And it turns out that standing around and talking is completely free (except for the opportunity cost of the time it takes -- damn you, economics, you win again!) But it's at least as free of cost as anything can ever be, haha.
The fact that malls are a dead social phenomenon now feels very emblematic to me.

I dont think women going for only the top 10% of men is just biological. It's largely due to gynocentrism. We vslue female lige above male life. We pedestalise them as virtuous and beautiful, even if theyre morbidly obese. Meanwhile we demonise men and dont care about them when they suffer.

Everyone needs to bear in mind that these dating platforms such as Tinder are not designed to help you find love, but to extract money from you. They don't benefit when you don't need the platform anymore. The way they are designed tends to make women extremely shallow, and to make men feel hopeless. While I think the data they produce have some reflection of mating dynamics offline, they paint a very exaggerated picture. I don't think women find using these platforms particularly satisfying either (though there's probably much, much smaller subset for which their use is literally soul crushing). I wouldn't be surprised if for some people they are literally more damaging to one's health than chain smoking a pack of cigarettes a day or drinking water from leaded pipes. Stop using them.

Depends on the personality type. Part of the missing piece to his analysis was that he addresses extroverts not introverts. Introverts can do very well on dating sites, in some cases, more so than they would in person, whereas extroverts are going to do less well or be hindered from their strongest traits.

But I'm not sure how it will play out with a bunch of young men who have been completely feminized and pumped with drugs to alter their behavior. There is also a possibility that they'll simply check out from society. Find some easy job and spend most of their time playing video games.

There also are no real good case studies on how an extremely large percentage of boys raised by single moms will impact society. I'm not sure this has ever happened before in human history. Sociologists 500 years from now will be studying this period in the west.

The jobs market is brutal and forces people to scramble desperately for worthless jobs. The housing market is dominated by landlords and buying a house has become impossible. The majority of couples now meet on dating apps, so people don’t attempt to meet anyone elsewhere. The result of this is a never ending barrage of rejection and contempt from every direction. As repulsive as the whole redpoll thing is, the ones to blame are the people profiting off the isolation and misery of others.

I lived in the middle east for several years. What you are discussing here is what has been happening in the muslim world for decades and is why there is a much higher propensity for violence and extremism in the middle east.
Islam allows multiple wives, this means the intelligent rich men absorb a much larger percentage of the female population than in western society, leaving a shortage. This leaves a significant portion of the male population, who are mainly poor and uneducated, without female supervision and stability, leaving them to congregrate together and get up to no good.

Lifetime bachelor by choice. Since my teens (now 56) I just couldn’t relate. They are CRAZY! 2+2 can equal any number depending on the weather that day. I’m an engineer 2+2 =4 no matter what you argue or think. Just can deal with the craziness and emotional roller coaster. I don't really know about the USA or many other countries but here in Australia it's ridiculously expensive everywhere. Even the poorer suburbs of Sydney are expensive just because they're in Sydney. Whereas you go to the outskirts of Chicago and can still find cheap home's. And yes some of those might be run down but for about $200,000 it's still quite cheap to renovate whereas here, a dump in Sydney is still $1,000,000.... We can thank greed

Okay, I may kinda fall into this. I no longer live in my parents basement but outside of work and groceries I retreat into my condo. Were it not for my hobbies that expose me to others, I would have little reason to leave my house.
I would also like to add that many younger men are under employed, desperately so with inflation. I can just afford my mortgage, condo fees and bills but I can't indulge, go out and meet people. I've written off Romantic interests because of my financial percarity, even when the other side seemed really interested.
Perhaps you are an introvert? I am. This analysis is heavily biased toward extroverts. I also don't date because of financial pressures which to be honest has little to do with anything this man is talking about. I am also reasonably confident with approaching women, because I don't make a big deal about it, but I have decided I cannot afford a family which is a hugely different topic.
I should probably mention there's in all likely little chance of me falling into far right wing extremism. I am a devout Liberal and Progressive. With my primary hobby (Cosplay Photography) exposes me to many people of many walks of life.

Not much in my experience, these conversations are always had as if every female is some highly intelligent advanced degree holder gainfully employed making over 100k a year with the emotional and mental stability of Oprah. I used to be an angry resentful young man, now I'm an angry resentful old man.

Usually those men who are happier alone already had experiences in the romance/sex front but for one reason or another got put off by those experiences and decided to ditch the game altogether...
Some advice as an isolated male to those who are suffering in this. If you can’t get woman to stand by you then get closer to your family. If not family then friends. If no friends, take some time, be careful, and go out in the world and make yourself some friends.

2 = social skills is a superficial term with zero substance. humans under natural law open their palm to the opposing party if they intend good will. i have no intention to open my palm to people because there is no substantive communal trade to pragmatize with them. instead in order to survive i am forced to subscribe to the abstract notion of "social skills" towards my boss, who hands me a government designated job which is designed to provide a purgatory livelihood to me with zero room of escape. i am being exploited, i have my life's time drained out of me, i am being wasted so someone else can enjoy the fruit of my work - im talking about the rich.

I think he was talking about being European and being American, not being European Americans. Probably the only reason he mentions Europeans is because he's on the Times radio show (yes, I know UK isn't technically considered European). If this interview was broadcast in the States, he likely would only have spoken about Americans.

Several valid points are made here but it misses the big picture. First, although sex can be riskier for women because of pregnancy the fact is that birth control has changed that hence the reason why women today have become so incredibly promiscuous. Some women will date online and will have one or more different sexual partners almost every weekend for 10 to 15 years. More importantly, the problem with young men is that they lack the tribe, the brotherhood, the purpose, the meaning. It is a crisis of isolation and of meaning.

Birth control lowers female sex drive and makes women pickier. In some cases their libido goes away completely and they end up stringing men along and using them for validation because they have zero desire for sex. Women are actually having less sex than they were 30 years ago. This female promiscuity thing is a myth. When I go to Latin America, where birth control is not nearly as ubiquitous I see a side to women that I previously never though was possible. His first claim in the first 10 seconds, ime, has been a resounding failure. I feel like I am seen as a shooter just cause I’m awkward and loner-ish.
